At last (@worldofsenelfy)
Almost two months had passed since she'd been inside that same club. She rarely frequented the same place too often, not wanting any undesirables to make a connection between her and any missing men. Gemina imagined it had been long enough, eager to go back to a familiar hunting ground with richer blood than those she'd been preying on in dive bars.
Not to mention that it seemed the "higher class" was easier to fool; a man with nothing guarded himself far better than a man eager to prove how much he had to offer.
It was that exact mindset that found her up on the second floor overlooking the rest of the club, nestled halfway into some random man's lap. His hand was halfway down the back of her dress with hers toying at the buttons around the top of his shirt; she had one goal -- to feed.
Well, she did, until there was suddenly a shadow looming far too close as her lips pressed into the stranger's throat in a warning kiss. Slowly, she shifted her eyes as her future meal looked up.
"Can I help you, man?" He'd said just as Gemina recognized Will.
Oh, wonderful.

“Shhhh. You don’t want us to get caught, do you?” ~William
"And what if they do?"
Tumblr media
She grabbed him by the collar and tugged his face closer, continuing to blur the boundaries outlined in their original agreement. Gemina looked up at him, her red lips pursed together in a confident smile as she listened to the sound of the party outside. Bringing Will had been a last minute decision; she needed a date and a venue filled with high-class criminals and other "monsters" wasn't a bad place to take your-.. Whatever she could consider him.
Her plaything.
Her obsession.
"They weren't exactly out mingling, however, as Gemina had dragged him into one of the private rooms to "help her with her dress". That help meant it was now hiked up to her hips while she explored beneath the hems of his clothes. "-But if you're not the type of man to put on a show.." She hummed, dragging one of her hands up to his throat where she tapped. "Let me taste you in other ways. Please? I'm starving.."

@general-kalani (Jacob)
There was a calm in the days that followed the fallout between Jacob and Gemina. At first, it was one thick with anxiety, a quiet agreement between siblings, but as time progressed and Jacob didn't show back up they both assumed the best. They'd made decisions on what they would do if he did, what they would do if they wanted the land, and although Gemina was unhappy with it -- Nikolai, somehow, was the voice of reason on this particular issue.
Everything went back to normal for them until Nikolai spotted Jacob walking up their path as he sat out on the porch, a glass of deer blood in his hand. He had to fight instinct not to toss it into the grass, but it would've been a complete waste to hide something the other already knew.
"I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever get thirsty," Nikolai said as he was finally close enough to speak to him, "come in." He didn't even wait for Jacob to agree, just sauntered into the house and held the door for him. The inside was much different from the meek exterior; it was clear whoever lived within had money. From lavish furniture, art, and even a mural painted over the fireplace in the sitting room. Aside from that the house smelled like someone was cooking. "Go on, have a seat, I'll grab the bottles."

@general-kalani (A glance at what could have been)
"You know you can take some of this home with you." Gemina muttered while gently massaging the cream into his shoulder and down his arm, taking special care to ensure no spot went noticed. "You're allowed peace, you know. You've earned that much.." Her cold hands glided over the top of his shoulder before skating down over his bare chest, massaging the homemade medicine over his heart. Up again traveled her hands, skating up his throat. Even in places where she couldnt see burns she was gentle and tender -- despite all their fighting and cat-and-mouse, Gemina cared. She couldn't explain why, but she did.
"There we go." Her fingers stopped along his jaw, caressing the hair there while her touch and gaze on him lingered far too long before practically tearing her touch off him. "I made you some stew as well to take. It's supposed to be cold tonight." Gemina walked around in front of him to start putting the cream away. "I made extra just in case one of your men decides to steal it again. Oh, I also may have taken the liberty to fix a little-.. Your jacket had a loose seem. I hope-.. I know I didn't ask, but I hope that's alright. I didn't want to get damaged the next time you washed it.."

❛ you can take my clothes off for me. ❜ /Cass
There was a short pause as she stared blankly at him before flicking her gaze up and down his body. Then came a smile, as impish as it was gentle, before she spoke in a jubilant tone.
Tumblr media
"Would you like me to fold them up and put you in the bath too to give your back a scrub? Come now, Cassian, you're a big boy. You shouldn't need this sort of help. The hampers behind the closet door, just throw them in there and I'll wash them for you."

"Gemina, some vampire tried to take me into the woods and ensnare me in a badly made trap. I'm offended that he did not try harder."
Tumblr media
"Now I wonder why he'd go about trying that." Gemina said with an air of amusement. "I'm almost sad you didn't follow him in just to see if he had any reason for attempting. Do you think he was just trying to feed or did he know of your occupation?"

His question lingered as she focused on the feeling of a warm hand rested upon her arm. Gemina watched it for those few quiet seconds, taking in the way the feeling itched as all things hot against her flesh did - a constant reminder of what she was and where she belonged.
"What did I face in the shadows.." She repeated while suddenly lifting her eyes to meet his with a previously missing intensity.
"Myself."
It came from her lips as a borderline hiss.
"I ran from my home and the husband I was promised to into the arms of an ancient demon. By saving me he damned me for eternity. I swore to thrive, to never lose sight of what I was and who I wanted to become, but I also saw potential for justice-.." Ever so carefully she rose from the couch and wrapped her arms around herself, soothing the warm spot on her forearm with the palm of her own chilly hand.
"I killed for the sake of justice. I used my claws to protect those that I saw my frail, human self in. I thought that drinking the blood of the corrupt would not taint me, that I would one day retire into the dark leaving the world better than I had entered it.. It didn't quite work that way."
She turned back to him, somber and meek. "Yet there was no end to the war. More people died than were saved and I realized I was no longer protecting anyone.. I was merely killing those I saw as my reflection.. I became the monster in the woods, Devlin. My name was a bane on the tongues of men, my voice a banshees call. Rare was it that my reputation did not precede me. Even after I spent decades in hiding I could never truly shake the woman I had become, haunted by the spectre of the beast I'd become in the name of my own twisted sense of morality. No one could see past the veil.."
Gemina paused, taking in the sight of Devlin for a second before a small smile crept back into her features.
"Until you saw me."
Devlin listened intently to Gemina's words, oddly feeling relief but contradictorily enough, also some apprehension at her response. She agreed, but something was off. It wasn't that he didn't trust her, but he hoped she was being as open with him as possible. Her analogy struck a chord within him, resonating with the struggles they faced in their destinies that became intertwined with one another.
"I firmly believe you're right," Devlin spoke out. "Breaking free from the known path is daunting, but the thought of forging our own destiny is exciting in its own way. It's a risk worth taking, isn't it?"
He listened to Gemina speak of her fear of the woods, his brow then furrowed in concern. He reached out a hand, hesitated for a moment, then gently placed it on her arm, offering a warm squeeze.
"What is it about the woods that scares you, Gemina?" Devlin suddenly asked. "Have you faced something in the shadows that makes you hesitant to venture into the unknown?"

A green haze surrounded Gemina, along with the wailing of a baby. Upon closer inspection, this baby had tiny wings on his delicate back, and tiny protrusions of horns on his head. He held a gaze similar to his fae father, the high cheekbones and arch of his eyebrows. When seeing Gemina, the babe raised his needy hands and babbled happily.
Her head had lifted from the back of the chair she was resting in, unsure when or how long she'd been asleep for when the odd haze had seemingly stirred her. Gemina blinked several times as the noise rang in her ears, but it took her a few more to register that what she was looking at was a smiling child sitting at her feet.
Immediately a swell filled her chest as she moved to the edge of the chair and peered down, offering her finger carefully out. Whatever momentary confusion she felt attempting to peer past the haze that had swallowed her was disopatted as soon as she felt those tiny hands wrap around her finger.
The swell burst into pure warmth and without thinking she reached down for the baby, pulling him into her arms where she cradled his impossibly light frame in her arms as he reached to play with the loose strands of hair that hung at the either side of her face.
He looked so much like Maverick. He looked-.. So much like her.
Her son.
Gemina nuzzled into the baby's cheek, purring loudly as the child continued to babble and tug at her white hair. In that moment she felt peace, she felt complete, and she felt-
Suddenly, a loud bang came from beyond the haze and the green disopatted. When she jerked her head up to look she could see her doorway, able to hear someone picking up the remnants of something they dropped. Once she was certain there was no harm she turned her head to look back down at the baby she'd cradled so tightly in her startle, only to see she was holding empty air.

"Lady Gemina, do I have any reason to consider you may not have been entirely human?"
"Well, I must have been human, mustn't I?"
Tumblr media
There is a short pause after she said it, her confidence visibly slipping away as she question now lingered. "I-.. Yes, I must have been human, otherwise I couldn't be a vampire. That's-.. That's where they come from, isn't it? Humans must be turned?"

"Don't be so prideful, Loki. My concern for your safety extends as far as your concern for mine. We both want to know what attacked us that night and if you die, I won't have my answers."
There was hardly any bite behind her sharp words as she watched him. Her face visibly relaxed once he'd moved the light, allowing her eyes to rest in complete shadow. Once he produced a second stack of pictures though not even the dark could have obscured the way her eyes lit up.
Quickly she snatched them away the same as the first, squinting and moving them closer to herself to shield them entirely from the light. It took a moment for it to settle on her what she was looking at, but once it did her attention immediately snapped to Loki.
"This is fresh.. Aged blood does not rest dried like this.."
Both urgency and fascination wrapped around her words. "This... This one." Gemina referenced the top of the new stack. "The Hungering Night." She muttered the phrase quietly as though someone might have been listening in.
The picture was shuffled to the bottom so the second could be seen.
"Dreaded beings of foul blood, corrupted by the midday sun.."
The next picture.
"Only through bloodlet may ascension be found."
There was a pause as she stared at the rest of the pictures, but instead of translating them outloud she shuffled them back into a neat stack and slowly turned her head up towards Loki.
"Cover yourself in gunpowder and coloidal silver. Rub it in your mouth if you can stand the taste and focus on your arms and throat. Anything human I'm sure you'll handle, but if these things are anything like me.. All it takes is a bite to bring down an elephant and from where I'm standing, you're no giant."
@mischieftomake
The slightest twitch of one of Loki's brows was the only thing that betrayed his surprise at how quickly she had agreed to his proposal. He'd expected far more arguing, and to leave the negotiation feeling distinctly irritated. Perhaps she didn't dislike him quite as much as she would have him believe. Or- far more realistically- perhaps her interest in what they'd uncovered rivaled Loki's own and made her more inclined to cooperate.
"Careful. I might start to think you're concerned for my safety." He grinned, and flicked his fingers at the light in a shooing motion to position it behind Gemina where it would affect her vision the least. "I can assure you, I'll return in one piece, which is more than can be said for anyone who tries to get in my way."
There was something nagging at the back of Loki's mind, though he couldn't quite put his finger on what. Perhaps it was something about her tone of voice, or that she wasn't interested in seeing the place herself... Though she had said something about not doing her own dirty work when they'd first met. He dismissed the nagging feeling with a slight shake of his head, and turned his attention back to the matter at hand.
"Well then, in the spirit of our new partnership..." Loki produced another, smaller stack of photographs out of the air in a shimmer of magic and held them out. These were similar to the ones he'd already given her, but with one key difference; Rather than carved, the ancient language had been painted onto the wall in a red-brown substance that was almost certainly dried blood.
"A full written translation would be very much appreciated."

“I’m not hurt, it’s fine. Just some scratches that’s all. Nothing an icy bath can’t fix.”
"I wouldn't smell scratches from halfway across the house, Devlin."
Gemina leaned into the bathroom door frame, staring at him with brows furrowed as he tried to reason away her concern. The light of the room ensured she couldn't see the true extent of the damage, but once she reached to flick it off her expression thoroughly hardened. Highlighted by the shadows she could see the true extent of his injuries and they were worse than what she'd assumed.
Much worse.
"Who did this?"
A sudden bass filled her voice as the vampire stepped forward to reach out, her cold hand gently coming to brace at his rubs just below one of his gashes. Only fifteen minutes before she'd been debating even coming to the room to check on him, still upholding the idea that distance was required despite her own selfish mistakes in venturing nearer -- mistakes she never understood why she kept making it.
Yet seeing him as he was then, blooded and battered at the hands of someone else, provided an answer. It conjured a storm that was only barely contained behind her ribs; the need to rip, to tear, to taste whatever -- whoever -- had hurt him.
She'd done so, but only she could do so.
"Shaky hands make for poor stitches. Even worse when they are your own.." Gemina finally muttered softly while stepping back to turn on the bath water to a brisk, chilly temperature. "I'll fetch the first aid and ice. You relax into the bath.."

Combining (3C w/ BRED FULL) | @darkhearthorns
"Just like that! Please, my love, don't stop!"
Her heels practically dug into his lower back as he thrust down into her, burying and grinding his full length into her body. Gemina's own gasps and whimpers mingled in with his own that echoed directly into her ear; surely someone -- anyone really -- would be able to hear the couple were they to enter the hall just outside of their private chamber.
That was hardly a concern though.
Not as she felt his body tightening further, the rhythm of his thrusts growing more desperate and needy as they both chased the glorious high. Gemina clung to his shoulders, holding his weight on top of her while her nails scratched against his skin and scales.
"Cum in me, Maverick." She whispered breathlessly between her starstruck gasps. "I want to feel your cock twitch inside of me as you stuff me with your cum, I need to be filled." One particularly harsh thrust broke her whispers as she cried out, clinging harder to his shoulders while her toes curled and thighs practically gripped at his waist. "Gods, I just want to be bred by you! Please, please breed me! I'm yours, all yours, mark me and claim me!"
