I like to think about Melinoe "haunting" the house of Hades. Especially from Chronos’ perspective since she’s kind of a mystery to him. She’s all that’s left of her underworld family and no matter how hard Chronos tries to kill or capture her she keeps disappearing and reappearing again. She’s like an angry spirit terrorizing the new resident of her old house. She hates what he’s done with the place. She hates how he treats the dog. She takes every opportunity to criticize and inconvenience him. Sometimes at the start of a run she'll say "unfinished business here." etc etc...
Tumblr media
I especially like thinking about it this way because it means (in early access) her journey through the underworld starts and ends with a haunting. Dora haunts her tent, her starting point. But it’s a lighthearted haunting, they're really just roommates and Melinoe is happy to have her company. But at the end of her journey, she takes on the role of a malevolent spirit and Chronos is the "hauntee".

"Batman is a bad person for not killing the Joker at this point."
I'm going to throw you off a roof. Like, you realize he is JUST a guy, right??? A single guy cannot decide that someone should die and kill them, that's not how it works. Weren't we all against cops killing people instead of arresting them, wtf do you think a random (rich and white) guy should be able to do that???
Also, it's a FUCKING COMICS. Like, the Joker will be revived as easily as the batkids are lately. And the writers have no interest in applying rehabilitation, it would not sell if all the famous rogues stopped doing crimes and Gotham got better. And they are USAmericans, half of them probably cannot understand the concept of "rehabilitation > punishment".
Btw, COUNTRIES WITHOUT THE DEATH PENALTY OR EVEN LIFE SENTENCES EXIST! Denmark, for example, doesn’t do life sentences and they are very good at rehabitation. You kind of sound stupid when you argue that something cannot be done while other countries are doing it (very usamerican of y'all) So, accept that you do not know shit about the human's mind and possibility for better, and stop with your usamerican "killing everyone I don't like is good" propaganda.

From Vision to Purpose: Overcoming Overthinking to Build with Intention
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Have you noticed how debilitating overthinking can be in our lives at times? It creeps in quietly, paralyzing our ability to move forward, to make decisions, or to even dream freely. We spend so much time measuring our lives in calendar years—12 neat little months, January to December. But what if we shifted our perspective? What if, instead of seeing time as months on a grid, we saw it as seasons? Quarters we could design intentionally, with purpose and focus.
Overthinking often creeps in when we lack focus. When our minds scatter in every direction, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, unsure, or stuck. The remedy? You HAVE to find a focus. Most especially if you are a multi hyphenate. Anchor yourself in something clear and intentional.
For me, this year, that focus is my YouTube channel. I’m not just focusing on creating content—I’m building something. A space where faith, storytelling, and purpose intersect. My vision? To scale my channel, to create content that resonates deeply, and to reach the milestone of monetization. But it’s not just about numbers or metrics; it’s about impact.
This year I decided to be intentional so I started by writing down what I wanted: What do I want my channel to look like by the end of this year? What kind of community do I want to build? What stories do I want to tell?
And then, I brought it before God. I asked Him to revise it, refine it, and align it with His will. Because a vision in alignment with God isn’t just a dream—it’s a purpose.
Seasons change, focus evolves, and visions grow. But with clarity, intention, and alignment, every season can become something meaningful.
What season are you designing right now?

' i think starscream was being unnecessarily rude and mean to bee ( omg starscrean being unnecessarily rude and mean, shock of the fucking century . ) if i had bee as my lil ghost buddy, we'd be best friends bcs hes so nice!!'
having bee haunt you is like being stuck on an eternal road trip with your backseat driver passenger mother who thinks 10 mph is a death sentence and violently grabs that little car grab handle by the window when you take a turn without fully stopping 500 separate times & oh boy if you don't brake at LEAST 10000million miles before that stop sign then say hello to decapitation! guess you wanna kill everyone !

People don’t realize how their own ill intent towards another increases poor outcomes in their life.
Moving with a pure heart and pure intentions will protect you from so much negativity.

A more realistic take on the pulling a bharv scene would be when Isabela accidentally misgenders Taash in the middle of her story, Taash gives her a quick light smack on the arm and she just goes "oh right sorry. Anyways, they-" like normal friends and not coworkers with an HR team breathing down their necks

Edward Hopper
(from beginning, Nighthawks, 1942; Automat, 1927; Summer Evening, 1947; Early Sunday Morning, 1930; New York Movie, 1939; House at Dusk, 1935; Room in New York, 1932)
Modernist work is all about critiquing the arrival of modern society; celebrating it's advances in technology and culture and the arrival of a new, energetic way to live... or turning it's back on the chaos, sinfulness, and loneliness of city life and seeking a return to an older, more "civil" way of living. A notable amount of Modernist work sits somewhere on this spectrum, more often than not acknowledging how hectic modern society has become with things busy compositions or offensively bright colors, or... bold... use of the human figure (whatever that meant at the time, at least).
Hopper's work here carries those same ideas, but his execution of them was a bit of a change of pace. When looking at his work, there's a sort of mellow tone that highlights the emptiness and spaciousness of modern life in these less-exciting moments; the silence of a lone worker in between movie showings... the eerie emptiness of a street right at dawn, at a moment between the fun parties and the start of the work day... a moment of time at a cafe or a bar, with people coming to sit in silence after work, or maybe even to find something to wake up to after a sleepless night.
When I discussed these works in a class this year, we couldn't decide whether these seemed to be criticizing society for having turned out this way, or if these scenes were made simply to say, "this exists, and this is what life has become, whether you want to think about it or not." Even now, I'm still mixed; despite that, these still resonated with me. These peaceful moments are valuable times of respite, but sometimes seems to highlight just how tired everyone is. Or, to quote my professor, "what the world looks like when coffee stops being something to partake in socially and turns into a requirement to make it through the day. "

i think what undertale fangames should really strive for is to push undertale's themes of mercy to the edge - push the PLAYER to see what their limits are on who deserves mercy.
#like for example.#someone who's having some sort of psychotic break and trying to hurt you. can you really justify killing them just because they were trying#to kill you? even though they would have snapped out of it eventually? even though they didn't actually WANT to kill you?#some would say you're justified to kill that person in self defense because you might have died if you didn't.#remember that there's always a power imbalance between humans and monsters. the human always has more power to end the conflict peacefully.#how about someone who's killed before? not someone like asgore or flowey where the situation's intricacies run deep.#this person simply murdered another monster because they wanted to. because they had something to gain from it#physically or emotionally. let's say he poisoned his lovely father to get his inheritence.#he is not fighting YOU to kill you for some petty gain - he's doing it for some other reason.#perhaps he's fighting you with no intent to kill - just to deter you from doing something that could ruin his life. or perhaps he intends t#kill you for a good reason.#can you justify taking his life because of what he did before?#the answers to these may seem obvious to you. but there are many who do believe it is within your right to kill these people.#this game should push them to reconsider their stance on this topic.#when you spare everyone because 'it's an undertale game and that's what you're supposed to do' sometimes you can miss out. and miss the poin#many people would be like 'i'm supposed to spare this guy? seriously? that's stupid.' and do it snyway because it's what you're 'supposed'#to do because it's an undertale game and the lesson is 'killing is bad.' they don't stop to reconsider WHY they think it's ridiculous to be#asked to spare these people.#i want to make an undertale fangame where at the beginning it says something like#'Don't just spare characters because this is an Undertale game and that's what you're 'supposed' to do. I want you to actually think about#the decision. Decide for YOURSELF what you think you should do in these situations. And really consider why you feel that way. Ultimately#the choice is up to you - that's the point of the game.'

still thinking about your post about your dusknoir and how the option of doing Anything But What He Did was always available to him yet he chose to walk along a path that only ended up hurting himself and quite literally all that he held dear to himself.
I think he really beats himself up over it because there's something so gut wrenching over the idea that a safer, better option that wouldve guaranteed a good outcome to you and those you hold dear, yet your narrow scope of reality and the fear that crippling you if you had stepped out of your designed path (assuming he did not already do that when adapting to the father figure ruse that he tried to pull) had you by the neck to the point where even the option that 'things did not have to go this way' was already not possible, and you had no choice but to go on. and now, dusknoir had no one but himself to blame for the cracks and strains he forced upon the two kids who looked up to him. the option to be with them, to save them, to shield them from him, yet he took it upon himself to be the knife that stabs them in the back when they willingly embraced his shine and the venom that reeks into their bodies when he tells them how much they had meant *little*, if *nothing* to him at all. he could've raised their spirits high, yet he proceeded to slam them down into reality and teach them the harsh lesson that nothing good comes out of a stranger with good intentions, even when that stranger made you feel as though you deserved to be loved. that you did not need to be so afraid, and that there was no shame in who you are. he was their light, and he burned so bright that he left them tearing and weeping in the darkness.

I know I joke about it a lot but legacy Flynn isn’t “evil” either he just…. Really really really messed up and lacked communication skills. The movie wouldn’t have happened if he had a conversation with literally anyone. I know someone has to make the mistakes in order for the plot to happen but the Kevin Flynn who made those mistakes isn’t the Kevin Flynn who went through 82’… if that makes sense?
