hey there! my name is judas (19, he/him). i’m an english major with a great passion for nineteenth century french history. i’ve been roleplaying for eight years and generally consider my writing style to be advanced literate, although i’m open to any sort of roleplay at all.

i joined the les misérables fandom when, two years ago, i played grantaire in a community theatre production. stepping into grantaire’s shoes for a couple of months genuinely changed my life, and his character is very dear to me.

this summer, i played enjolras at another community theatre, which was especially exciting because—i kid you not—enjolras is the center of my moral compass. i strive to emulate him in whatever it is that i do.

this is all to say that i’ve done extensive character work for both grantaire and enjolras. i presently have the most muse for the latter, but i have experience both roleplaying and acting as each of them and would just be happy to have roleplay partners, regardless of whom i write.

I (30s F) am looking for someone (25+, preferred, absolutely no one under 21) who is interested in a role play for brick canon or select AU timelines from Les Miserables. I am mostly interested in writing for the les amis group and can write for most of the amis (so hopefully that will make my search a bit easier), however my favs to write are Courfeyrac, Joly, Enjolras, Grantaire, and Combeferre. I’m happy to write multiple characters as needed for background or plot.

I typically enjoy writing darker themes. I am open to most of the ships and I'm okay writing suggestive (and potentially NFSW) scenes if that comes up.

I write in multiple paragraphs, third-person past tense. Length isn’t super important if we are moving the plot along and the replies match the same energy as my replies.

I prefer to write through discord. I’m PST if that makes any difference to you. I would like replies frequently (ideally 3-4 times a week), though I do understand things happen! Please don't intend to ghost me if things aren't working out-- we can always change gears or start anew. I'm looking for someone long term to write with!

Having grown up on the streets, Jean has become incredibly clever and resourceful. He has a strong sense of duty and responsibility since he was a young man and was keenly aware of his role as the provider of his family and never complained when large portions of of his food was given instead to the children of his sister. During winter he couldn't find work, which made him desperate enough to break the law, breaking a window of a bakery to steal bread for his sister's children. This ended in him being sentenced to 19 years in prison which hardened his body and spirit despite keeping his softness towards others. After getting out and getting a fresh start, he became the owner of textile factories where he makes sure everyone is compensated fairly, and more than makes up for his failings once he finds out about them. He has a strong mind for justice and will make sure no innocent man is punished if he has any say in the matter.

His perception is highly intuitive, somewhat added to by his readings and his philosophical musings, and rarely wrong. Due to his love and responsibility for those around him and the fact that he's technically on the run from the law, Valjean developed paranoia regarding any type of law enforcement around him which makes him skittish in company and something of a recluse even as he moved to Paris. This in turn makes him somewhat socially awkward, though most people tend to overlook this because of his kindness and generosity.
