Despite being kind of goofy, and somewhat absent minded, Doreen Green is incredibly intelligent, getting a scholarship to study Computer Science at a prestigious university. She doesn't quite fit in with the other students in her major, going against almost every notion of what a Computer Science student is. Doreen is peppy, fun-loving, charismatic, and optimistic with a deep faith in humanity and believes everyone is inherently good. When she tucks her tail into her pants, she can fully pass as just a normal peppy college girl.

Doreen Green was born with a genetic mutation (though through semantics isn't considered a mutant) that gave her the tail of a squirrel that grew with her through her life. As she grew, she realized that the tail was just the start, also finding that she had the ability to talk to squirrels as well as having the proportional skills of a squirrel applied to a human body. She's unnaturally fast, can lift between 800 lbs and 25 tons, can see in the dark and has Peripheral Vision as strong as her direct gaze, can climb trees and building with ease, and has the ability to pick things up with her tail. All of these abilities she uses to go "undercover" as the unbeatable Squirrel Girl and fight ne'er do wells with charm and spunk. She often goes against a lot of powerhouse fighters but somehow always bounces back.

After the mysterious disappearance of the standing minister of a church of a small Canadian island town, Father Paul steps up of the only place of worship in town where most of the population attend mass. He is a kind and understanding man who despite being strange and slightly withdrawn truly cares for his community.

SPOILERS FOR MIDNIGHT MASS UNDER THE CUT

This is evident in the fact that on a trip to Israel to see where Jesus allegedly lived, finding himself lost in the desert, where he came upon a cave. In that cave he was met with a creature that in all his years of holiness he interpreted as an angel, especially when the creature fed him it's blood after drinking some of his, bringing the old man back to how his body and mind were in his mid thirties. Knowing that the angel could help the people suffering on the island he had called home for the last 50 years of his life, he took on the false name of Paul Hill and took the supposed angel with him back home where he regained the mantle of the leader of the small community's church.

His goal is to help those in the community, to heal their bodies and minds just as he has been healed by giving them some of the angel's blood in the communion wine, functionally making a town of almost vampires who need only to die to be reborn into their ideal, vampiric lives. Paul truly believes that he can make the lives of all of these people better
