This is essentially my tmnt sketchbook tour lol

I had just seen the new tmnt mutant mayhem movie and honestly, mikeys my favorite! Couldnt help drawing his football shaped head (affectionate)

Was re watching that one rottmnt ep where they have a dance off with time square mascots and really loved atomic lass :]

Naturally after drawing atomic lass i had to draw donnie fangirling over her and leo being playfully judgemental

This is 4/5, these came from me doodling just a singular comic box (?) And then it turned into a whole 2 pages of my 4wayseparated au on april and donnies first time meeting my version of mikey whos using a cloaking device :3 (plz ask me more about my au i actually have so much thought out fjjska)

This is just continuation of the last lol. Fun fact i drew the second page first which is why the dialog is a little off

Some 87 april!!! Started watching it and shes such a darling!

I was watching 2k12 i think around the farmhouse arc??? And i have a fun time experiencing random bouts of knee/hip pain that literally causes me to not be able to walk and idk, was vibing with leo about that lol

I was in the midst of my 2003 binge and wanted to try drawing the boys! This was mostly some head canons on their sibling order/designs (leos definitely the eldest, donnie absolutely has middle child vibes, and raph and mikey are the youngest twins lol)

Pt 3 of my tmnt sketchbook tour 😤

A quick human design of leo in a rise esque style lol

Some screenshot redraws of said leo human design

An incomplete human design of donnie that i got frustrated with halway bc it doesnt look quite like him

A brains brawn fusion where hes essentially the equivalent of a sports statistics commentator with the genius to make large explosive canons lol

More of that brains brawn fusion idea but with more emphasis on the battle shell that is shaped like raphs regular shell. He has 4 eyes and arms and likes to break things in the name of science lmao

Some doodles of my 4wayseparated au but this time leo! He doesnt wear a mask bc he was raised w big mama and wears regular clothes tailored to be liu jitsu inspired. Also hes the battle nexus champ 3 years strong :)

Aaaaand more 4wayseparated au drawings!! This one of raph and cassandra and then donnie and april. Raph is raised by the foot clan and of course casey is his best friend. Donnie is the only one raised by splinter and april is his only friend lol

More 4wayseparated au but of mikey this time, just fleshing out his design. His clothing is more based on his future self, as hes raised by draxum and has a head start on his mystic powers

Hello! Idk if anyones noticed it yet but im currently watching 2003 tmnt fast forward and one of the main antagonists, sh'okanabo seems to share a surprising amount of abilities that the rise krang have also exhibit!

*this is sh'okanabo! ⬇️

Sh'okanabo is a kind of mushy, shadowy alien creature that has tendrils and spreads a disease called the kanabo virus through a slime like substance that infects whoevers makes skin contact with it, putting the victim under the control of sh'okanabo and turns them into "kanabo drones". Whats also interesting to me is that while almost completely changing the forms of humans (and more humanoid like aliens) to become more monstrous, the turtles and master splinter dont change to the same extent.

These are all striking similarities to how the movie krang and their abilities are represented. The krang in this iteration of tmnt have long, tendrils and can infect others with their flesh (?), putting the inflicted under their control, just like the sh'okanabo. Its also interesting to note that the kanabo virus and the krang zombies impact humans and the turtles the same way! They both turn humans into unrecognizable creatures (krang zombies, kanabo drones) while the turtles (and splinter in the 03 version), especially raphs body and form in the movie, is only slightly altered. (This could be just a way to keep the characters recognizable but i like to imagine its significant lol)

This all being said, the biggest difference between the two is mostly that sh'okanabo and his virus have an extreme weakness to sunlight, where just contact with the sun will burn the virus out of the system and revert the infected back to their original form while in the rise movie, im not even sure if there really was a 'cure' to the krang zombies besides maybe the weird herbicide thing april found at her university? Its been a minute since ive watched the movie but please let me know if that is something shown!

The krang in past iterations havent been shown to have these devastating abilities so to see such strong mirroring of each other is really curious! Idk i personally havent seen where the inspo for creating the personalities and abilities of the krang came from but i also hadnt seen anything on the two and wanted to share and see what yall think :3
