I could be!

I could be a leaf, dancing on the breeze

Or a gentle raindrop, kissing the serrated leaves.

I could be a turquoise flame, flickering in the night,

Or a shooting star, blazing in the sky piercing so bright.

But who am I truly, beneath the mask I wear?

A whisper in the wind, or a reflection?

I am the echo of unheard laughter, the tears in the rain,

The hopes and dreams that forever remain.

I am the silence between each spoken word

The strength in the stillness, where emotions are afraid.

I am the question that lingers in your mind,

The answer you seek, the truth you'll never find.

For I am a seeker, searching for the meaning, beyond mere dreaming.

I am the universe, pulsing within my soul,

Constantly evolving, becoming whole.

The air is crisp, the winds are strong,

Yet I feel a warmth inside as I walk along,

With boots and scarves and hats to wear,

I love the feeling of winter in the air.

The trees stand bare, their branches exposed,

The ground is frozen, the streams are closed,

But there's a special magic, a calmness in the air,

And for a moment, life seems serene and fair.

Sometimes someone appears

From out of nowhere, it seems

And though we try to resist

We're drawn in by their dreams

Their smile is like the sunshine

Their laughter, music to our ears

They make our world a better place

And ease away our fears

Sometimes someone may go

As quickly as they came

Leaving us with memories

And a sense of loss, like rain

But even though they're gone

Their presence lingers on

A glimmer of hope, a ray of light

Their love forever strong

So hold onto those sometimes someones

Treasure them with all your heart

For they're the ones who make life worth living

And from whom you'll never part.

In every heart and soul, there lies a space

Where emotions ebb and flow with grace

But what of quality and reciprocity?

Are these key to an emotional capacity?

For quality pertains to the worth of a feeling

Is it true, pure and sincere, or mere concealing?

And reciprocity, the give and take of emotion

Do we receive as much as we give with devotion?

Inside my mind, a dark abyss

Where fears and doubts roam free

A place where light cannot exist

And peace is but a memory

Monsters lurk in hidden corners

Whispers echo through the night

Shadows dance like eerie mourners

In this land of constant fright

My heart beats fast, my breaths come quick

As I struggle to maintain control

But the demons inside refuse to quit

And I fear for my fragile soul

Every time I trust someone

They turn and walk away

Leaving me here all alone

I don't know what to say

Why can't we just be happy

And love each other true?

Instead we play these games

Is this really what we want?

To hurt each other every day?

And just go our separate ways

I wish I could turn back time

Fix all the mistakes we've made

But now I'm just feeling lost
