I had so much fun building this today. It's such a good set and incredible for the price. I recommend it to everyone!

With my longship and world serpent

I'm now making up stories: the first pic is the Jarl and his wife and their two daughters. The second is two husbands and their daughter, the blacksmith, and the third is the Jarl's eldest daughter and her wife.

There's also the village witch.

7016 Viking Boat Again Wyvern Dragon

I recently rebuilt this set. It's a lot of fun: maybe the best price-to-fun ratio in the entire Vikings theme. The Wyvern Dragon is just a little fellow and very typical of the Bionicle-esque monsters of the Vikings theme. He might just contribute one of my favourite words in any LEGO set title: "Wyvern." He and the mini longship are the real stars here--although the Vikings figs included excellent parts, they had no "characters." The stickered shields look amazing.

Android Files Notes: Vikings have yet to appear in Android Files, but I know where they fit in, geopolitically, so it's not unlikely they'll make an appearance if things keep going. If they do, this set is probably top of the list to make an appearance.

The LEGO Ideas Viking Village set provided for me by The LEGO Group through @brickcentral. I had a lot of fun shooting this. Getting lights on the inside was challenging because the tower is too skinny to fit a cube light. I ended up using mini wired LED lights all over, which took quite some time.

Fire, my old friend

Here I wanted to play with the contrast between the cold light shining in through the window and the warm light from the fire.

I used a laser to light up the fireplace.

The interior is from the Longhouse in the Lego Viking Village.

Made two Norwegian/viking themed pillow cases for my mum and couldn’t wait for tomorrow to give them to her. She practically shrieked with laughter when she opened then up because she loved then so much.

(Yes, I also made the embroidered Mama and Papa pillows and the quilt underneath too. ✌️)
