Erik made his move against Rowan. He swung his sword against him with brutal force. Many would have lost their stand from a blow like this, but Rowan blocked it and used the opening to strike back. He laid his whole weight in his strike. His sword swished through the air making a buzzing noise. The force of his blow turned his whole body around leaving his back turned to his opponent. He wasn't sure if he did hit his mark or not until Erik's head dropped on the floor right before him.

Right at the moment when the head hit floor, he left his focus and heard the noises of the battlefield around him again. To his surprise though, the sound of the clashing blades wasn't as intense as before the duel. The vikings had gained the upper hand and all who weren't occupied in a one to one combat, now made their way to him, to get the head of the one who killed their king...

20240908: BrickCon 2024! This was my display this year at BrickCon 2024 in Bellevue, Washington (USA)! Anyone who remembers last year's blue and pink castle will maybe notice how much larger this castle is compared to that :) While I didn't win any official convention awards or trophies, not even the Fantasy World Builder, that's not why I go to conventions :) The castle is complete with a library stocked with actual LEGO books, not just plates and tiles, a stable that actually fits all four of the bright blue Avatar horses, a great hall, complete with musician's balcony, and a dragon landing platform. The surrounding village has a fishery and blacksmith shop, a selection of very interesting trees, a large mushroom house, a smaller house, a giant troll/orc feeding strawberries to the magic snails, another giant troll/orc on a swing, a carriage pulled by a fantasy creature with transparent blue wings, and a medium blue centaur, painting in the forest. There's more there, if you take the time to look :)

Here's a WIP pic of the big Castle MOC I'm building. Lots of work left to do, but I'm pleased with the progress so far (building is how I cope with my overwhelming anxiety about the dumpster fire timeline we're facing).
