New on the blog - Carole Lombard stars in the Pre-Code ghost story, SUPERNATURAL (1933), which is a lot of fun even though it doesn't make much sense.

New on the blog - I take a look at the 1949 noir film, SHOCKPROOF, starring Cornel Wilde and his real-life wife at the time, Patricia Knight. (Spoiler warning because I do discuss some aspects of the ending!)

Archery competition 🏹 🎯
I wanted to recreate one of my old photographs featuring a medieval blacksmith's lady aiming at an apple held on a poor man's head. 🍎
This time, I decided to create an archery competition scene, adding several other contestants and enriching the setting with various details.
A troubadour is there to enhance the atmosphere, and one of the competitors is none other than Robin Hood. 🪕🏹

We didn't even get one woman's lifetime of rights. I'm a little older than Roe v. Wade. It's dead, and I'm only middle-aged. When my grandmothers were born, women couldn't vote. As much as we'd like to think our other rights are "settled law," the right said the same thing about Roe when they were trying to sneak in people who would overturn it.
