Hello hello, guess who's back with a new chapter everyone😁
To anyone who waited for the new chapter, I'm thankful. I hope you enjoy this ~7.5k word chapter. Tell me what you think of the story so far!
Alright, so now for what I actually didn't write on the notes section of the story. As the story goes on, it is quite possible that the characters are going to be getting a bit ofc progressively more and more. I do believe that Rang and Han Seo are already starting to deviate slightly from what their characters are on the show. I do explain ( I think, I mean it when I say don't edit my chapters guys. You get my 2am sleep deprived writing and ideas as they are, sorry) Rang's character and why he gets as he gets in the story.
I mean, we've seen that he is actually a sentimental and sensitive guy. This is something I love about him; as tough as he may want to appear, truly he is just a big softie. He is by no means a "all bark, no bite" person. We've seen that he barks and bites alright. Though, I may be turning him into a better person in the story, I believe that is because it's who he is as a person. Dude literally sacrificed himself for his idiot of an older brother. HE'S A SOFTIE.
Now, about Han Seo I've taken an approach that says he knows he is being abused and just tried to survive. Isn't this what he was trying to do on the show as well? Of course, he wanted someone to acknowledge him too. It was what drove him the most in the series I believe; to be seen as a person, that he exists and does things too. Han Seo had South Korea as a whole fooled; he is not the idiot they tried to portrayed him as. There are so many kinds of intelligence; it's so stupid to only show the book smart or wit smart kind of it. This young man, who everyone mocked, outsmarted the entire Korea and his brother, the person who underestimated him the most. Yes, Han Seo might not have been the smartest person when it came to wits, but he was so smart in the way he had them all fooled into thinking he was the real CEO of Babel.
Again, in the show we saw how when Han Seo started studying he was able to stand on his own to feet when it came to the company. This only proved that he was not an idiot; the man just never had the chance to develop his critical thinking in a necessary way that would allow him to rule Babel successfully. When did this happen? When he was no longer under the constant pressure of being abused. When he knew that he had a plan and a way to escape Han Seok's evil hands. This sweet baby never had the chance to truly discover all his potentials due to all this TRAUMA his brother caused him. I could write an entire essay on this, but I'd rather say something that I believe is actually more important.
No-one is stupid or an idiot. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You can do whatever you want in life. If something doesn't come as easy to you as it does to others, it doesn't make you less intelligent. You're probably better at something else. No-one is born being good at everything, we can always try and work hard to achieve things that don't come to us naturally.

Why NejiTen should be canon
Before I say anything, I can recognise that NejiTen is not canon, although I want it to be lol. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, so I ask that you respect mine, and if you want to challenge it, you can *politely* do that in the comments.
The major countering ships to NejiTen are: NejiHina and LeeTen, so I will talk you through why these ships don't work out.
First with LeeTen (because I don't want you quitting after the drama of NejiHina). Lee and Tenten are seen as very close throughout the series, though Tenten makes it clear that she finds Lee annoying and hot-blooded. This is the opposite to Neji, who Tenten seems to admire a lot, since she liked to train with him, and even put on lipstick in the manga for his chūnin exam finals. They seem like the perfect best friend duo, in my opinion. Romance doesn't need to be involved in every since best friend duo, there are enough of them already. In the Boruto series, Lee is seen with his son, Metal Lee. Many think that Tenten is the mother, due to the eye shape, and I think she could easily be. I mean, she's the only kunoichi in Konoha in the same age group as Lee (I think, I haven't fact checked yet), and the girl in his team. Tenten is probably the easiest choice for Lee's wife that Kishimoto could've made. However, if they were to be married and have had a son together, they would now be divorced. This therefore means, that if they had got married, then the relationship would not have worked out, and LeeTen would've failed. If they had not got together, then Lee would've married a different woman, and even if Lee then divorced that mystery woman, they clearly do not have mutual feelings for each other any more. They might have had feelings for each other, at different stages of their lives, but they either both grew out of their crushes or it was only one-sided to begin with.
Second. The NejiHina incident. I'm sorry, but I will have to go on for even longer than LeeTen, because some people don't understand that this ship is incest, and I'll tell you why. Excluding the fact that Neji had strong resentment towards Hinata for quite a period of time, they still wouldn't work out. Their relationship only evolved into *family* love, as confirmed by Kishimoto, just as Boruto loves Himawari, or Temari loves Gaara. What's wrong with a "big brother-little sister love"? Why must everyone make everything romantic? Neji cares deeply for his cousin, as does Hinata. She calls him 'Big Brother Neji', showing that she only sees him as her older brother. Besides, Hinata was so deeply in love with Naruto, she would've never agreed to the marriage. Moving on, a lot of people, from a range of cultures, some of which invite cousin relationships, think that Neji and Hinata getting married and producing heirs is okay. Some of them (purposely?) forget that the reason you don't have kids with your sibling is because it increases the chance of genetic defects dramatically. Although having kids with your cousin is legal (at least where I am), it still has quite a high risk. These people try and back it up by saying that the Hyūga clan would've wanted a pure Hyūga-blooded heir. Hm... Uchiha clan, anyone? Sure, this was common, but there are plenty Uchihas that are so distantly related that it would be fine to have offspring (such as Itachi and Izumi). The same could be said about the Hyūgas. Maybe Neji would've been their best option for a pure blood husband, but there would've been other choices, more people that were much further distanced in relation. I've got this far, and I haven't even mentioned another key fact: you know that Hiashi and Hizashi are twin brothers, right? Identical twins, to be exact. Lemme show you something: "Identical (i.e., monozygotic, or MZ) twins share 100 percent of their genes". You see that? It means that Hiashi and Hizashi share the same DNA. And this means that Neji and Hinata are genetically closer than cousins. They're actually genetically half-siblings. Hm. The Hyūgas are smart enough to figure out that it probably isn't the best idea to inbreed them, right? Well. That doesn't matter, because even if they overlooked all this incestuous evidence, there's this. Hinata isn't even the current heiress. If Neji survived the war, he would not have married Hinata in Boruto. If the Hyūga clan forced him to marry the heiress, and have children to keep a pure bloodline, he would've married Hanabi. Hanabi is the current heiress, so she would be the one married to Neji. Got it yet? Neji and Hinata would never have happened.
The last reason NejiTen should be canon: their chemistry. Tenten is shown to greatly admire and respect Neji, constantly calling him a genius, and she has blushed because of him in the manga several times. He believed in her abilities enough to sit under the practice dummy she was hitting with kunai. Neji comments that her fight would be interesting, showing that he thinks she is a good fighter. He is also shocked at her defeat, further proving that. In the first databook, Kishimoto confirms that Neji and Tenten trained every day for a month in preparation for Neji's chūnin match against Naruto. During this training, Neji reverse engineered and perfected the moves only reserved for the main branch of the Hyūga clan, mainly the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms and the Eight Trigrams Palms: Revolving Heaven. You should also note that while all the other contestants trained with jōnin, Neji chose to train with Tenten. "During one of their training sessions, birds are shown flying in the sky and Tenten tells him that she is exhausted and can't keep going. Neji responds that he thinks he used too much of his chakra and faints. Tenten is seen running to him and asks him if he's alright." Tenten wore a different outfit to watch Neji's match, and as I said, in the manga she also wore lipstick. After his fight with Kidomaru, Neji remembers seeing Lady Tsunade with Tenten. In the Shippuden, during Team Gai's fight with Kisame, Neji rushes to Tenten's side when she seems to struggle in the Water Prison.
Tumblr media
In the image above, it shows the two finishing each other's sentences. They can communicate with little dialogue and know what the other is thinking with only one word. Tenten winks at Neji and invites him to go to the bathhouse with her, both in the anime and the manga. Later, after Neji's death, in the manga, she expresses anger, thinks about Neji and asks why he left her. In her memory, Neji doing the "nice guy pose," which has been performed in the past by Gai, Naruto and Lee. The pose signifies that one will keep their promise until death, as Lee states to Sakura during the beginning of the Sasuke retrieval arc after Naruto does the pose and promises to her that he will get Sasuke back. Neji doing this pose before Tenten implies that he promised her something that he intended to fulfill until his death. In the anime, Tenten holds her hands in a prayer and asks why he left her as she remembers Neji doing this "nice guy pose" to her, then she walks away crying and says that she's never going to forgive him. The implied promise that Neji made to her is not known, but it was significant enough for Neji, who tends to be stoic and serious, to use the cheerful and significant pose his "hot-blooded" sensei and teammate have used in the past. When caught in the Infinite Tsukuyomi, Tenten dreams of more mature versions of Lee and Gai as well as Neji being alive and by her side. She's the only person whose Tsukuyomi dream involves not only Neji being alive, but being with him.
They are shown constantly beside one another throughout the entire story, similar to the couples Asuma and Kurenai, and Shikamaru and Temari. While Neji is very formal and strict, he is shown to be comfortable around Tenten. He isn't shown to mind when she teases him or winks at him. He is also rarely portrayed as a character who apologizes to anyone, but he is shown apologizing to Tenten. In both the manga and anime, birds are present during the scenes where Neji and Tenten are shown alone together. In the manga, the only male character Tenten is shown alone with is Neji.
Other Trivia include:
Tenten's name and Neji's themes compliment each other. "Tenten" literally translates to "heaven heaven" in Chinese, while "Hyūga" translates to "place in heaven." In the new Chūnin Exams arc, Neji is shown holding two heaven scrolls with the characters 天天
Tenten's weapons shop in Boruto is named 忍具転転転, which directly translates to "Ninja Tools Turn Turn Turn." Furthermore, the characters "具転転" in the name translate to "revolving." Thus, the name of Tenten's weapons shop can be a reference to one of Neji's primary moves, Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven.
During the blank period, Tenten wears a uniform that includes a dress with a flame pattern similar to the flame in the Hyūga clan's emblem.
Neji and Tenten are depicted as compatible: the Databooks reveal that Neji is a Cancer and Tenten is a Pisces. In Western astrology, Cancer and Pisces are considered a compatible and harmonious pairing. The Databooks list Neji's blood type as O and Tenten's blood type as B. The blood type personality theory popular in Japan considers O and B blood types romantically compatible.
Neji, during his death, is portrayed as a Phoenix on fire. In the anime, Tenten utilizes the moves "Twin Rising Dragons" and "Exploding Dragon Strike." In Chinese folklore, the Phoenix and Dragon pair symbolize perfect harmony and balance between yin (Phoenix) and yang (Dragon).
Among the Konoha 11, Neji and Tenten were the only ones who were 18 years old during the Shinobi war, whereas Naruto and Hinata were 16 years old and the rest were 17.
Neji and Tenten share the same hairstyles as Hashirama Senju and his wife Mito Uzumaki.

TOTNT 1938 is halfway done (grrr no whyyyyy), and I have many thoughts. I will share some of those thoughts with you this evening:
- I love that this season is so distinct from the first, without totally abandoning its roots; it leans a lot more into the action/comedy, but it’s still got a lot of dark folklore and is very character-centric.
- The intro sequence is amazeballs. It’s like the first season intro and the intro from Bad and Crazy had a beautiful, unhinged baby. I never skip it!
- I love that they got back almost the entire OG cast. I’ve missed them!
- I haven’t seen anyone comment on it so I gaslit myself into thinking I imagined it, but is Yeon’s hair a good bit darker? It’s leaning more auburn than the old bright orange, although it’s more orangey in direct light. I like it, I was just doubting myself.
- Everyone is clearly having so much fun with their roles, and that’s what I look for in performances. LDW especially, but that’s kind of a hallmark of his acting for me.
- It’s hysterical to me that the writers explained the end of season 1 FIRST THING. They were like “okay we gotta fix this immediately so people stick around.” Honestly in the absence of other information I had a different theory for why season 1 ended like it did, but this works too!
- The end of episode 1 was genius. Getting them all together on the train, everyone with different information and agendas… chef’s kiss, no notes.
- I’m glad they’re giving Rang so much to do! He’s getting his romance subplot, he has his bandit gang…
- Ghost!Rang was so fun, and a great opportunity for hijinx. I love that it allowed him to hear what Yeon was really thinking, and the sneezing thing was hilarious.
- One thing I was hoping for from this season was a more in-depth exploration of what it means to be a mountain god, and it looks like we’re getting it! The information we have so far on our three mountain gods casts a really interesting light on the first season and Lee Yeon’s whole character. The fact that they were chosen for the job as children by Taluipa… I’ve gone into that in a separate post.
- Hong Joo is my new problematic fave. I say problematic because the scene where she comes on to Yeon while he’s blind really gave me the ick, but in spite of her inability to take no as an answer she’s a really interesting and fun character. Flawed, strong, hot… just my cup of tea! My love for her feels similar to my love for Taluipa; part of me kind of hates her, but I respect her at the same time.
- I’m still waiting to be compelled by Moo Young, but I’ve never tended to attach strongly to stoic characters (at least until we get a full tragic backstory). I’m excited to see more from him.
- I’m interested to see how the broader plotline plays out, considering we’ve been told that nothing Yeon does in the past will make a difference.
- Will Yeon and Rang’s dad be making an appearance?? I don’t think we’ve been told that he died, and we’ve seen Yeon talking about how abusive he was during his childhood. I’d love to see them tie up that end.
- Everything with Mi Ho was absolute gold (pun intended). Yeon is 100% going to return home and start pestering Ji Ah for a baby.
- Yeon and Shin Joo are really doing the Lord’s work getting Rang’s mermaid romance off the ground. Very accurate portrayal of an older sibling’s reaction to the younger one being in a relationship; I’ve said and done all of those things with my brothers.
- I don’t know what I expected from 1938!Yeon; part of me thought modern!Yeon would transmigrate into his body from the time period, but the alternative is so much better. Coked-up, petty, grief-addled Lee Yeon is a treat to see, and I wonder how he’ll factor into the rest of the story, if he does at all. The fight between the two Lee Yeons was epic and hysterical.
- On the topic of 1938!Yeon: I notice that his hair is in the Goryeo mullet, which I guess just means he hasn’t cut it lately. But also: his black-gray ends are gone. So he’s not cutting his hair… but he’s dyeing his ends! I like to think it’s his sad emo look.
- Yeon choked up so much blood at the beginning of episode 6 that for a second I thought I was watching a Chinese xianxia lol
- I appreciate how Yeon and Shin Ju are both spending significant mental energy pining for their wives. But also: WHEN WILL SHIN JU GET HIS WEDDING RING BACK
I’m sure I’ve forgotten many thoughts. Perhaps I will reblog later with additions.

Cooper Hawkins is looking for his older brother!
Character: Cooper Hawkins
Type of Connection: Older Brother
WC Name: Ethan Hawkins
Age Range: 40-43
FC Options: Luke Grimes, Garrett Hedlund, Aaron Taylor-Johnson (anyone you think who looks like Jesse Lee Soffer)
Would you like to be contacted?: Yes please!
Connection Description:
tw: sibling death, tw: drowning accident, tw: boating accident, tw: mental abuse mention, tw: emotional abuse mention, tw: physical abuse mention
Ryan Hawkins was the first of the Hawkins clan, then Ethan, then Annie, then Cooper and finally the baby Megan whom they all called Meg. Growing up Cooper idolized his older siblings, his brothers were his best friends and his sister Annie was someone whom he admired and aspired to be like. Meg was someone Cooper always took care of and adored and wished to protect with everything he had. He made a promise to himself to always watch out for Meg. The Hawkins siblings were well known and well liked by the town and could do no wrong.
They were one big happy family. They were fun and successful and everyone loved them. That was until one 4th of July Annie and Cooper had decided to take their family boat out onto the water alone, without their parents permission. Thomas and Heather were too busy at the diner to notice they were gone. He was eleven at the time and Annie was a little bit older. They drove it illegally, neither of them having a boating license but Annie really wanted to go and she always had a way of making Cooper follow in her footsteps. So he did, because all he cared about at the time was if Annie was happy.
They were having a good time and being safe until Annie decided to jump into the water after Cooper had told her and begged her not too. It was a while until Cooper had realized she hadn’t come up from the water. Panicked and scared, Cooper illegally drove the boat back to shore for some help. Once reaching his parents & some cops, they ruled it as a drowning accident. This nearly destroyed not only the family but the town. They always said that Annie held the family together and her death tore it apart.
His father was furious and devastated and wrongfully accused & blamed Cooper for Annie’s death even though he knew it wasn’t his fault. Growing up for Cooper wasn’t easy anymore. He wasn’t the happy go lucky kid he used to be. His father mentally, and sometimes would physically and emotionally abuse him . It went on for years, and his two older brothers followed in their fathers footsteps. Cooper closed himself off and didn’t talk to them until he actually needed too. The only ones who truly cared about him and were worried about his well being was his mother & his little sister Meg. He was thankful for them even if he didn’t show it often.
Cooper & his older brothers DO NOT get along at all. Ryan & Ethan both blame Cooper STILL to this day for Annie's death. Though they have some issues, it'd be nice if I can get his siblings in this group. Also, if you'd like to change his name than please feel free!! This character can be 100% up to you, though I'd like to keep his background please. Ethan has so much hatred for Cooper, but the man realized a while ago that it wasn't Cooper's fault at all and that it was indeed an accident. Ethan is trying to fix his relationship with his little brother.

You Take Good Care Of Her Pt.1
Word Count: 1,416
Status: Not Requested!
Fandom: The Expendables {1-3}
A/N: So this was one of my writings I have on my Wattpad, and decided to have it brought over here to Tumblr. This isn't my best work, but it's okay I guess.
Relationship: Lee Christmas x Reader
Summary: Y/N and Barney Ross are half siblings. With their lives not being easy, the only people they had were each other, Barney raising her as his own.  But, that all changes when she decides to serve our country, earning many scars outsiders will never see.  When she returns however, she might actually get the happy ending Barney and her have always dreamed of.
Warnings: language, a little bit of angst
Masterlist The Expendables Masterlist Part Two
{Not my gif}
Tumblr media
For the next few years, with Barney's extensive training and knowledge with hand-to-hand combat, how to quick draw a weapon, and how to know how to use it, Y/N had become a strong woman.  Y/N never understood how or why he knew these things, but yet again, she never doubted her brother for a second.  Barney has always been there for her, as he was now, teaching her self defense in the best way possible.
After Y/N had graduated high school, she joined the army, starting out as a nurse but quickly changing ranking when a horrific war came in, needing her well hidden skills.  Barney was proud of his little Gumdrop, the nickname he had given her from the day she was born, but he would be lying if he didn't say he was the least bit nervous.  He knew she could handle herself, especially when Y/N had even made it a point in learning all different types of weapons, perfecting Barney's signature skills, and going way beyond anything either of them could imagine.  Barney was almost like a proud father.
Tumblr media
To say that military didn't change a thing about a person would've been a full-faced lie.  It had made you hard, cold to the touch, maybe in the worst ways selfish, too.  Y/N was never one to put herself first, but in the military world, although you are all fighting alongside each other as a team, the main point was for you to take care of yourself and only focus on keeping yourself alive; no one else mattered on the battlefield.
Y/N had started to write a diary, trying to keep herself from driving off the deep end into insanity.  She was lonely, something that was expected in this way of life.  Battle was a different world, a separate one from the world of the more fortunate ones, the ones not in war.  Y/N had made a few friends, but as the wars raged on outside, they slowly died off, scaring her, and not wanting to have to hurt as much as she does because of how much she cares.
But after all, nothing is permanent.  No one stays forever, and that made Y/N miss her brother all the more.  As she writes in her diary, she also wrote letters home to Barney, those that could have a range of time before getting a response back.  After all, Barney was stuck on missions, making a group called the Expendables, and spending so much time up just to not be alone, worrying for his baby sister, and if she will actually come home alive.
Tumblr media
After 10 years, Y/N was able to return home, different, but whole.  Barney, who had responded a few weeks before, had been the first to see her come down the escalator of the airport, more than ready to feel whole again, to have his family back.  When she had spotted him, she practically tackled anyone in her way, almost tripping down the steps to get to her brother.  With a lunge and a jump, she crushed her older brother in a rib shattering hug, tears of joy not only pouring out of her eyes, but his too, although he'd never admit to it.  Clearing his throat he said, "Let's get you home Gumdrop."
After loads of catching up, Barney told her there were people he wants her to meet, as he was going to show her what he had spent so much time training her for, to be one with the boys, the Expendables.  Barney had blabbed about what it is he had done on the ride before entering Tool's shop, which is what made Y/N so eager to meet the rest of the gang, knowing what and who they were before they even entered her life.
The first person she met was Tool, an older man with a rugged smile, warm eyes, streaked hair, and a creative eye for everything he sees.  Y/N enjoyed him and took a close liking to him immediately, becoming a weird yet funny father she never had.  She was caught up in a conversation with Tool, missing the warm smile her brother had as he watched his sister find someone so alike to her, talk to her, and share interests that normal fathers would, even if it wasn't by blood.  Then, multiple other men filled the room of Tool's tattoo shop, the smell of testosterone, grease, and smoke filling the room as the roaring of motorcycle engines came pouring in, soon shutting off.
Barney and Tool introduced Y/N to every person of the group before they all spread out and did their own thing.  Toll Road, one of the members, had talked to her, being kind and gentle, a total opposite of his professional career choice.  After that, Y/N had made her rounds, talking to everyone: Gunnar Jensen, quiet, handsome, tall, and quite funny.  Yin Yang, small, quick-witted, loyal, and very caring.  Hale Caesar, the most hilarious person Y/N had ever met, very playful, and a lot of fun to hang out with.  She had met everyone, except one; Lee Christmas.
A few times during the night, their eyes had met, as if it were electric that made them shudder and stare on many occasions.  But, although many looks were made, he had made it his duty to avoid her like the plague.  "But why?" was a constant thought that crossed her mind.
Tumblr media
As time passed, Y/N had become just one of the guys, squeezing her tiny self into the little family they had all made.  Tool had given her her own specialty Expendables tattoo to make it official too.  Decorating it with vines and flowers, "Matching your personality," Tool would tell her, "Beautiful and delicate alongside other flowers in a bundle, yet hard and piercing when messed with by the wrong hands."  Y/N enjoyed her tattoo all the much more, taking his words to heart and placing a sweet kiss on his cheek.  She never realized the eyes that watched her so calmly from afar though.
What Y/N didn't know was how Lee actually felt, and that was a charge he knew was on him.  It never stopped him from getting jealous though, stiffening as he watched her every moves.  He had fallen for her soft Y/E/C eyes, and Y/H/L, Y/H/C hair that only she could make beautiful the second he met her.  He would talk to her every now and then, but always kept his distance, knowing exactly who she belonged to.  Barney would have his ass hit by a train if he ever touched her, and that was because she had gone through so much already, Barney not wanting anymore pain in her life.
Despite his attempts, he knew he wouldn't ever be able to resist her, and for that, he didn't care what he had to go through, he was going to have her. Because she was his, and he was hers, no matter who knew.

Instinct
Star: Kim Yoohyeon (Dreamcatcher)
Idea: No
A person who liked to hide in the shadows, secrets being buried in the depths. You carried it over from generation to generation but meeting new people, would you still continue to stay in the dark? To lie your way out of the questions that popped up, even if someone gets hurt
Warning/s: mention of blood
Tumblr media
You left your apartment wearing your jacket as you went down the elevator before stepping outside into the blazing sun, you walked down the street at the bus stop, waiting for your bus to arrive while you observed your surroundings.
You lived in a fair neighborhood, not much happening. It was a peaceful place, trees lining the streets, it was bright, colorful, and the locals were all in their late adult years so you had no issue with people constantly annoying you all the time.
You went to a good school, funded by your parents of course, who lived just a few cities away. They often visited you too during their off times while you would often go when you had free time but generally you could always go there if you wanted to. In school you got good grades, not the best of the best but it was high enough for you to pass.
Your friends were nice, as you made sure to stay away from the cliche cliques that would be a part of high school, which resulted in a lot of people concluding that you had a good life.
However, not everything is always perfect as it seems.
When you got to school you walked into your class sitting at your usual spot as you turned to your friend who was busy writing her notes, “Isn’t it a bit too early for this?” you asked the blue haired girl, who finished writing the sentence before glancing at you with her eyebrows raised,
“Do you have any other way to pass the time?” she asked, a teasing grin growing on your lips as you spoke.
“How about talk to the brunette you’ve been pining on for weeks?” you suggested with a hint of teasing, as the girl in front of you lowered her head. Her cheeks coating with a sheen of pink before she whined and pushed you in annoyance, “I’m not pining for her,” she muttered to herself but you did easily hear her, a laugh escaping past your lips.
In the corner of your eye you took a glance at the girl at the back, seeing the brunette twist her pen in her hands while conversing with her friends.
Your friend looked at you as you reached for your flask, another laugh pouring from your mouth at the glare she was giving you before taking a sip, causing her to inquire, “Isn't it too early for that?” she said, giving your own question back to you, her eyes wide with surprise and concern while you merely waved a hand at her.
“I didn’t eat breakfast,” you replied, shrugging your shoulders, taking one more sip before placing it back in your bag.
You made sure to wipe your lips as the bell rang, everyone inside the room standing to greet the teacher. She walked in front of four students walking behind her, following closely as the eldest woman stood a little to the side, letting them be the center of attention.
All the students in the class, including you, stared at the four in confusion, it’s been half the semester. Maybe they were exchange students? You thought as the woman smiled before speaking.
“Good morning class, I know it's a little later than normal, but the principal assigned us new students. As you might have heard on the news, there was an accident in Kingsville a few days ago that resulted in the loss of most of their facilities. Unfortunately most of it was deemed unrecoverable. But since our school is the closest it has encouraged many of their former students to continue their studies here, so let’s all listen to them, please introduce yourself, girls.”
They introduced themselves, the class seemed to love their enthusiasm, the bright smiles that they wore and the gratefulness in their tone made it all seem that they were new students introducing themselves on their first day, you listened and observed each one, first being Lee Siyeon who had white hair, sharp eyes, and a sharp jaw.
She spoke confidently and you didn’t know if it was you but she sort of resembles a wolf. The next was Kim Bora, black haired girl who had round eyes. She is the shortest out of the group but the energy she showed makes up for it.
Beside her was Lee Yubin, she had black hair that reached up to her back, her features were soft, her eyes were relaxed, and only gave a small smile as she bowed stepping back for the last one in the group, “Good morning everyone, my name is Kim Yoohyeon, please take care of me,”
Yoohyeon had silver hair, she had round eyes like Bora and when she smiled her eyes disappeared as they turned into crescents almost infecting said smile unto you, noticing as well that she was the tallest one in the group, contrasting to the girl a few feet from her. The group the seats around the room,
“Girls feel free to ask anyone for help, I know you’re a little late so don’t hesitate to ask if you need help,”
Once everyone was settled, the lecture started. The teacher paced it slowly, giving the girls an opportunity to catch on and understand, sometimes answering the question as best as they understood. Soon enough the period was over and you were already heading to the cafeteria for lunch,
Sitting down at your table your other companion was already there, smiling when she saw both of you approach, “Minji unnie,” you greeted her taking the seat beside the older girl and began to converse.
It was usually what you did during your lunch period, staying at your group as you talked about all the random things you could think about, sometimes relating to projects, certain teachers, and sometimes playing small games to pass the time. The three of you didn’t need to eat since you would do it sometime later anyway.
“Minji unnie, Dongie, are you free to come by to the apartment tonight? Mom and dad have been pestering me for weeks to have you two over,”
The two girls laughed but still agreeing, “I could imagine their faces,” Handong commented earning a groan of annoyance and an eye roll from you, though it was directed more jokingly,
“It’s like they’re not expecting me to be there when they come, the first thing I hear when they arrive is, ‘Handong and Minji, are they here?’ I feel replaced,” you complained, further increasing the chuckles coming from the two before a new voice joined in.
“Hi,” you take a glance to the side seeing Yoohyeon and Yubin, both holding a tray of food before the taller girl asked shyly, “Do you mind if we take a seat with you guys, the others are pretty cramped,” she asked, the three of you offering them a kind smile,
“Sure, nice to meet you, Yoohyeon and...Yubin isn’t it?” you asked the quiet girl who answered with a nod as they sat down, “Oh this is Minji unnie, she’s a friend of ours,” you introduced the eldest waving a hand to the two.
While Yoohyeon and Yubin started to eat, Minji started some small talk, just to relieve the awkwardness that was practically radiating off the two girls, only keeping their eyes focused on their food. You turned your head to busy yourself with something, catching a glance at a familiar white haired girl who pointed in your direction., “Do you know them?” turning to the two girls who looked up to see you gesturing to the white haired female who kept gazing at your particular direction.
“Oh, we do, Siyeon unnie!” Yoohyeon waved them over, the said girl talked with her companions seemingly whining based on the way her lips pouted and her eyebrows furrowed.
It took them a minute before three figures stood up, padding to your direction, a smile spread on your face when you noticed another familiar face approaching your table, “Hi,” the white haired introduced herself meeting all of your smiles.
“Siyeon right?” she nodded her head before all of your attention turned to the other two who came with her, you noticed the sharp inhale from your friend, side eyeing her with a small grin.
“This is my friend Bora and--”
“Gahyeon-ssi,” you finished for her, earning a nod from the brunette and the white haired, “She's my younger sister,” Siyeon explained, causing you, Minji, and Handong to look surprised. You were unaware that the brunette had any siblings, but in retrospect, you didn't speak with the quiet girl very frequently since she preferred to keep facts to herself.
You motioned for them to take a seat, observing how Handong's cheeks flushed when the brunette sat near her. You leaned back, a bright smile on your face, as you watched Handong becoming increasingly uncomfortable.
The discussion gradually developed over your time in the cafeteria, the uneasy air dispersing, as each one became a little comfortable with each other,
“Do you people not eat?” Yoohyeon inquired abruptly, observing how everyone else had their own trays while you three were conversing with them, “We like to skip lunch and have dinner later,” you answered, smiling again, before Minji continued the previous topic, essentially forcing them out of the topic.
The majority of the girls had become closer to your party by the end of the day, chatting often during breaks and exchanging laughs as you walked through the halls. “We'll see you tomorrow!” you grinned at their group as you and Handong waited for Minji to return.
“Would you two mind heading there first?” Minji inquired, typing on her phone before adding, "I have some stuff to complete, but I promise to make it before your parents arrive," you nodded and waved goodbye as you and Handong walked to the bus station for your bus.
Arriving at home Handong made herself at home, having been inside your apartment a multitude of times as you went to your room to get an extra pair for your friend to change in, when you entered the living room you threw your friend sweatpants and a hoodie getting your flask from your backpack and finishing the rest that it contained.
You licked your lips clean and hopped onto the couch taking Handong’s place as she entered your room to change.
After she left your room dressed more comfortably you turned on the TV, passing by the time and watching whatever was on while you waited for your guests.
--
You didn’t notice it but the show had been playing for a few hours, fully capturing both of your attention since you didn’t notice the sudden shift in the temperature, the mist that appeared in your hall, and you weren’t going to pay attention until you heard the footsteps in the hallway.
Turning your head, a smile appeared on your face when two figures emerged. Handong also turned her head, her own smile gracing her face, seeing the two older people walk in with grins.
“Auntie, uncle,” Handong greeted, but suddenly got pulled forward as your parents gave her a warm hug and while Handong was receiving a pat on the back, you stood there at the side a scowl replacing your smile as you took in the scene in front of you,
“Hello, excuse me!”
The three pulled apart seeing your expression, arms crossed against your chest while you pouted, “Oh, hi dear,” you scoffed hearing your mother’s greeting, the older woman rolled her eyes and moved to approach you but in the hallway mist appeared again as the sound of your other friend rang in your ears,
“Sorry I’m late!” Almost like magic, your mother’s attention moved to the purple haired girl.
“Minji!” Your jaws dropped as your parents rushed to hug the older girl, causing Handong to laugh beside you, “My parents don't really care for me,” you muttered, your voice reaching out to your parents as they pulled away and turned to you,
“Oh, don't be such a whine, could you get us some drinks please, we're parched,” shaking your head, you turned to go to the kitchen, not before turning with your hands folded to your parents.
“Is there anything else you’d like, sir, madam?”
“No, no, that'll do it,” the four of them grinned when they saw you grumble at the comeback. You took a package from your fridge, slit it open, and poured the liquid into the cups after getting the glasses out of the cupboards. As the red liquid splashed inside, you stood there watching. Staring at the liquid, you contemplated your life.
It might seem that your life was flawless, that you had everything you ever desired, that you were living the greatest life the universe had to give, but they were unaware of the secrets that had slipped inside, the curse that had shaped your life and that of your generation.
Your senses are heightened, your pulse is still, your skin is colder than stone, you have the strength of a thousand men, and you have a hunger for blood.
A devil who roamed the world, hiding among the humans and living in the darkness, or, as it is more often called in modern days, a vampire. It has been passed down from the family for thousands of years, all the way back to the time when the great Count ruled.
You were fortunate to have existed in a period where vampires were free to pursue their own lives, evolving to adapt to the environment we live in today rather than being the bloodsucking predators that everyone was terrified of.
Taking the glass to the living room you gave your parents their glasses, having them thank you as you joined in on their conversation.
--
For the following weeks of school, the eight of you have been almost inseparable, already forming your own group in the cafeteria actually calling them your friend you never thought that in the one hundred and sixteen years you’ve been living.
You, as well as Handong and Minji never thought that you would be attached to them since you tried to not get closer to them, not because you hated them but because you could put them in danger.
You were addicted to blood, though it’s been years since you’ve had some, only bringing around sheep’s blood in your bottles. It was the food that you would intake, either it be in the middle of class or during your sports activities, to keep you away from the urge and to give you strength when you needed it.
Because any vampire wouldn’t be able to eat human food unless they wanted to end themselves.
You never wanted to endanger people, it was the last thing that you would want, but it was already too late into the friendship when you realized that one of them was extremely clumsy.
It became apparent when the girl was hanging out more with you, where you would constantly be by her side to react when she would accidentally trip or slip on basically nothing but herself. You were deemed Yoohyeon’s bodyguard by the girls and you weren’t going to deny it.
Because every twenty minutes she seemed to need help and you would be around the corner to help. There are times where it came dangerously close, when Yoohyeon accidentally tripped on the stairs, hitting her knees where she got cut.
Unfortunately for you, the scent of blood was too strong, you could feel your fangs coming out, breathing heavily but thankfully Handong already had her breakfast. She reacted quickly and grabbed your hand, speeding past everybody in the hallway and locked both of you in the janitor’s closet.
Quickly taking your bottle she opened it, waving the scent in your direction as the glowing red eyes faced her. With your instincts taking over you snatched the bottle taking what you needed as you slowly calmed down.
When the glow in your eyes disappeared and your breathing became relaxed you got back into your senses and shook your head, wiping the blood off your lips as you glanced at your friend.
“T-thank you,”
When you got back into the hallway you could see in the end that Yoohyeon was being helped by Minji, the other girls looking at the puppy who only smiled and laughed at her accident.
The older girl sensed you and glanced in your direction, seeing the worried look on your face before she nodded with an assuring smile.
After that day you made sure to always take your food before leaving your apartment, either on the bus or before you entered the school, not wanting to put yourself into that situation again.
“Y/n!” The weight on your back made you move slightly forwards, your hands automatically going behind you to support whoever it was on your back.
Turning your head you’re met with a familiar ball of silver hair, a smile forming on your lips as you carried the girl with you while you walked toward the school, “Isn’t it too early for this Yooh,” you inquired, yet still holding the girl all the way to your class.
“Aren’t you getting tired?” she asked you after a minute and you shook your head, even teasing her as you walked with a slight skip in your steps. Resting her head on your shoulder Yoohyeon looked at you, observing your side profile as you walked.
It’s only been a month since Yoohyeon met you and she didn’t realize it but even just a few weeks of being together you were already so close to her heart than anyone else that she’s known. It might be just simple puppy love because you’ve been super nice to them since the beginning, but she was definitely falling fast.
Closing her eyes, Yoohyeon snuggled her head into the crook of your neck, releasing a sigh when she felt you move your head to let her nuzzle further.
You stifled a laugh, stopping abruptly and letting her down, as the puppy became confused.
“Why did you let me down?” she asked with a pout, making you furrow your brows at the strange feeling you had in your stomach until you replaced it with a smile, “I was getting tired,” You took a couple of steps back, an evil smile creeping over your lips, before adding,
"And you're growing heavier." You watched her mouth drop before turning and running, hearing Yoohyeon call your name, loud steps trailing behind you. Your laugh echoed through the corridors, stopping a little to enable the tall girl to pursue you.
When you ran into your class, the girls looked at you strangely as they saw you pant and look at the door with a grin on your lips. When the taller girl didn't follow, the grin transformed into a pout, but when you walked to the entrance, you peered around and a slight smile appeared on your face as you noticed Yoohyeon seated on the floor.
Yoohyeon dusted her knees before a hand was extended to her, she glanced up and met your gentle eyes, you both paused for a moment until she matched your smile and took your hand in hers. What she did next, though, shocked not only you but also your friends who peered through the frame.
Yoohyeon let herself be swept up by the momentum, enabling herself to get near enough to plant a kiss on your cheek.
“Thanks,” she said as she walked to the classroom, leaving you standing idly, frozen. You put your hand to your cheek, the burning feeling she left on your skin felt like the sun, but it was a pleasant burn.
Since you actually felt warmer, for the first time in years.
--
Having this kind of friendship with Yoohyeon was a great deal of fun and Yoohyeon added a whole different element to your life by enabling you to enjoy the benefits of making new friends and the unexpected hangouts that all of you would have. But you knew that one day, a few moments might go wrong, and everything you have will disappear in an instant.
Which was precisely what occurred the very next day.
You dressed up then went to the kitchen to get your flask, though when you checked the fridge you didn't see your bottle, you were puzzled. Looking around, you saw it on your counter and picked it up, just to discover it was empty.
At first, you didn't care and simply opened the other part of your fridge to grab some more. However, you swore under your breath when you opened it but saw nothing.
You had forgotten that you were supposed to get some yesterday, you stood there for a while and after some consideration, you decided to ask Handong instead. Making the mistake of leaving your apartment, thinking you'd get some food from the other girl.
As you got to school, you were agitated, every move you took was worrying, causing you to look around, everything seemed to be moving faster. You inhaled sharply when you reached your room and saw that Handong wasn't around, so you rushed outside to find Minji's room, but your luck seemed to be against you when the tall puppy met your gaze,
“Y/n!” You forced a smile at the younger girl, darting your gaze around the hall in the hopes of catching a glimpse of Handong.
But, as your friend was nowhere to be found, Yoohyeon pulled you back into the room as you tried to remain calm, doing breathing exercises in your head to calm your nerves, hoping that Handong would soon walk through the door.
When your friend finally arrived, the bell had already rung, and you stood by the side, fists clenched and twitching uncontrollably, as everyone is ready to welcome the teacher.
You couldn't talk with your friend because you weren't sure whether you could contain the growl in your voice, but you made it until lunchtime when your burden eased a little when you stood up to talk to your friend.
Handong looked at you when she noticed you fidgeting a lot, glancing at your form, her eyes filled with worry when she saw how uncomfortable you looked, your arms were shaking and your eye was twitching, “What's wrong?” she questioned, holding you by the shoulders to calm you down,
“Food,” she heard the slight rasp in your voice, her worry growing as she glanced at her bottle, knowing she already used it this morning.
The Chinese woman grabbed your wrist and rushed out of the room, heading for Minji's class, where you caught the purple haired girl as she exited the room, "Unnie!"
When Minji turned her head in the direction of her call, she saw Handong bringing you along with her, and she became concerned when she didn't see the familiar smile on your features.
“What's wrong with Y/n?” she inquired, noting how your hands seemed to shake and your eyes remained closed as you inhaled deeply. You didn't open because you didn't want your eyes to show red, so you waited for one of them to pull you instead.
As a result, when you feel an arm around your wrist, you let it pull you away. More of the weight dissipates when you hear less and less voices around you.
However, you felt dread in your being when you heard a different voice, “Y/n?” When Yoohyeon stood in front of you with a smile, your eyes popped open and your whole body froze. Why was she here? How did she bring you here? What happened to Handong and Minji?
Your senses were sensitive as you felt all the controls wither away, and the fears in your mind began to build along with your breathing. Yoohyeon began to speak about something but you couldn't hear her.
You felt your self control break as all the restraints faded away. Yoohyeon realized you'd been silent for a while before becoming concerned when your body began to shake as you groaned to yourself while squeezing your fists.
“Y—”
“Run,”
She heard you mutter silently, but the noise was muted in her ears, puzzled by your remark still staying as she stood in silence.
“What are you saying, Y/n, do you need anything—”
“Run, Yoohyeon!” You screamed, but it was too late.
As Yoohyeon approached, a curtain of red engulfed your view. When you raised your head, Yoohyeon’s eyes grew big when she saw your eyes, changed into dark red, mouth open as your fangs started to grow. She stepped back, repeatedly calling out for your name but you were too deep into the hunger that you didn’t hear anything, slowly you approached Yoohyeon as she kept backing up until she hit the wall.
She can’t help but be afraid as she saw your form, cowering in the corner before feeling you grip her wrist. She tried to fight you off but you were too strong. It wasn’t a second later when she felt pain shoot up her arm, an ear piercing scream echoing in the sky.
Handong and Minji turned when they heard the scream, turning to each other and cursing when they didn’t see you. As quickly as they could they used their speed to go towards the sounds of the scream, jumping up to the roof where they froze when they saw you, biting Yoohyeon’s arm as the girl yelled in agonizing pain.
Minji responded instantly, grabbing your arm and hurling you against a nearby wall, Yoohyeon's eyes falling as she dozed off. You are still red-eyed, irritated that you'd been disrupted.
You rose to your feet before being struck by a sudden pain in the back of the head, your vision blurring as you collapsed, Handong standing behind you, her face expressionless.
--
When you opened your eyes, you groaned as you felt your head hurting. Sitting up you recognized the surroundings, the red walls, and the white ceiling, you were inside your room. But how?
The last thing that you remembered was going to school, hungry and tired before Handong pulled you away to Minji then--
Your eyes went wide as you stood, rushing outside your room and met Minji’s eyes down the hall. The older one saw you and opened her mouth to speak but she didn’t get the first word out when you bolted from your place, rushing past her, using your mist to get inside the room.
You clutched her cloth-wrapped wrist, immediately sensing the weight of the earth on your shoulders as you saw the younger girl lying on the bed. Walking to the side of the bed you held her wrist that was wrapped with some cloth, suddenly feeling the whole world on your chest as you watched the younger girl lay on the bed.
Your guilt is tearing at you, for the way she lay there helpless was completely your fault. Kneeling beside her, you nuzzled your face against her palm, gripping her hand against her cheek, a sliver of relief rising when you felt her pulse on your cheek.
Minji and Handong hurried in, their eyes softening as they took in the scene in front of them. Slowly walking and sitting alongside you, their palms on your back appeared to intensify the discomfort you were experiencing, making you feel even worse for what you did before you left the room a few minutes later.
Silently closing it as you padded to the living room. Your mind raced at a million miles per hour.
The idea that you had harmed someone close to you, hurt you so much that you feel as though you were dying. Because hurting someone you cared for was something you didn't want to do.
--
You stood in the living room with Minji and Handong for a moment, silent because they were unable to disturb the peace, but it didn't last long as a shrill scream echoed across the flat. You three used your abilities to accelerate.
As you arrived at the foot of the bed where Yoohyeon was tossing and twisting in bed a frown on her lips.
You moved to wake her up, but Minji resisted, shaking her head and approaching the younger girl instead.
When Minji woke her up, you were concerned about how the puppy might respond. Yoohyeon backed up against the bed and started weeping as she bolted up and met your eyes.
Listening to Yoohyeon wail and struggle, you closed your eyes, understanding that the pain you were feeling could never be compared to anything else. You searched for the right opportunity to look her in the eyes.
When you did, your eyes went bright red as you sifted through her memory, deleting the details you didn't want her to remember until she fell back against the bed, her breathing returning to normal. Before you took Minji's place beside the bed, you let out a deep sigh.
You stepped carefully to pick her up, adjusting her position in your arms to make her more comfortable before mist engulfed you, causing your two companions to stare at you sadly before you vanished.
After taking the image from Yoohyeon's head you got to her room and tucked her in, lay her flat on the bed. When you left with a heavy burden, you observed her for a few minutes more before kissing her on the forehead.
When you returned to your flat, you stepped outside of the room you were in and into your own room, looking at the floor because you didn't have the courage to glance at your friends. Knowing that your friends couldn't do much about the turmoil and frustration you were experiencing before you closed the door quietly.
For the next few days, you didn’t leave your room, only laying in your bed, shutting everybody out, and staying in your safe space.
Handong and Minji tried to get inside using their powers but you would only turn around to face the wall ignoring them until they left with a sigh, leaving the food they prepared for you.
It was so bad that your parents even came by to talk to you but like your friends they didn’t get a response either.
Meanwhile, the rest of the girls grew confused at your absence. The following days were spent without you making them seem dull, especially one particular girl who grew sadder each day that she didn’t get to see you.
After you took her memories away, Yoohyeon only remembered the prior events before that, so she believed Handong when she explained that you were sick.
Bringing up the day where you came to school rather quiet and tired. But it’s already been a week and you weren’t healthy yet?
--
The knock on your door didn’t affect you in the slightest, waiting until you saw the glint of the mist in the corner of your eye before closing your eyes. Your mother sighed as she walked toward you on the bed, taking a seat beside you she sifted her hands through your hair until it rested on your back,
“Y/n, it’s been a week, don’t you think it’s time to go outside?” she questioned, not earning a response so she sighed instead, knowing you were listening but you still pretended not to.
“It's not your fault Y/n, what happened was something you couldn't control,” she said with a puff of her breath.
" Every single one of us has done something similar before, some worse than others, it's a normal impulse, dear. Nobody could have prevented it, what matters today is what we do now, why worry about the past if you're no longer living there. You, not the past or the future, decide the present, so please don't hold yourself responsible for something you can't control.”
Before leaving, your mother gave you one more look as the temperature began to drop. You are left in silence to reflect on her words. Sitting up against the bed, you intertwined your fingers together as you pondered the situation, your gaze fixed on your wardrobe, a small flicker surging through your eyes.

Observing them from across the road, you saw how they interacted as they walked to the entrance, laughing and conversing.
After a week of silence, you wanted to go outside your space to see how your friends were. As a result, you're perched on a tree branch across the street, seeing what's going on.
When you noticed Yoohyeon's warm smiles, you smiled for the first time in days, capturing a little of their talk through your hearing, "I told you I might try but I didn't guarantee I would succeed,"
As you listened intently until they began their own discussions, a chuckle escaped your mouth, but your eyes and ears were only attracted to one girl as she spoke.
The softness of her voice reignited the strange sensation in your stomach, and when you started to listen, the excitement on your face quickly changed to fear as you heard something down the street.
People shouting could be heard until an engine roared from over the road, the vehicle speeding down the hill. Looking back at the girls, you were grateful that Minji and Handong had been able to notice and drag them back, interrupting their fun and unknowingly leaving one person behind as they continued to chuckle.
The truck was moving closer and closer, Minji and Handong had only just noticed that one girl was absent before turning around and yelling for her.
When Yoohyeon saw the truck, she opened her eyes and her face changed from joy to surprise. Everything moved slowly as you dashed from your hiding spot, appearing in front of Yoohyeon with your mist and covering her with your body.
Closing your eyes and seeing yourself in a different location than the one you're in right now.
Which happened to be your bedroom when you landed on the floor, rolling while cradling and covering Yoohyeon's head before crashing into the side of your bed with a groan.
You stepped back to take a brief glance at the woman, who had shock etched all over her face, darting her eyes all over the room before they found yours.
You immediately gathered her up and sat her on your bed, checking to see if she was all right before turning and disappearing in front of her.
The girls glanced at the truck, eyes streaming with tears as they called for their friend.
When you emerged in front of the girls they were shocked at your presence, and had their own confused expressions on their faces when you held each of their hands and looked at your friends, who were also stunned at your arrival, you gestured your gaze towards the school where a few students were watching before both of them understood.
They turned around, their eyes reddening, and mist engulfed the four of you as you returned to your bedroom, where Yoohyeon seemed startled as you arrived, but they didn't bother to question as they huddled together.
They wrapped their arms around each other and checked to make sure no one was hurt. You stood by the corner and let them have their moment before Minji and Handong arrived in the same manner as you, surprising the girls and making them look at you three with wide eyes.
“We'll explain, please listen to us,” you said when they were about to ask questions. Taking a deep breath, you began describing what they needed to know.
You could erase their memories, but it might just add to the problem, having to keep hiding and avoiding the one event that was bound to happen sooner or later wouldn't help the situation.
Then you told them slowly, describing who you were and where you came from as you paused for a couple breaths to let it settle in. They glanced at the three of you at the conclusion of your explanation, "Y-you won't harm us?"
“We never have and we never would do it on purpose,” Minji replied to Gahyeon, for you, relieved that they didn't scream, yell, or do something unnecessary.
“Could you please give us a moment?” you whispered, your gaze fixed on the puppy, who gave no hint of how she was feeling when she looked at you.
Handong and Minji motioned the three to the entrance, but they were afraid to leave Yoohyeon with you at first, however, after assuring her that she would be fine, you were left alone in the room with the silent puppy.
You knelt down, lowering your head as you took a few steps closer to the girl, halting and offering her the room she needed.
“Is it really true?” You nodded while the other girl didn't believe everything she’s seen, almost wanting to see everything as a huge joke that you were planning but when you suddenly raised your head and met your bright red eyes Yoohyeon gasped when you returned the memories that you had previously removed.
You closed your eyes, a tear running down your cheek as you braced yourself for what was about to happen.
Yoohyeon looked at your form, her jaw clenched as she struggled not to cry, her gaze moving to her own wrist as if she were about to experience the agony again.
She didn't know what to do after hearing anything and getting her memory back, and she couldn't ignore the terror she felt as she recalled your blood red eyes and the sharp fangs you showed her.
“I didn't want to harm you, I was starving, and you were the nearest source. I promise I didn't mean to do that, and I'd do anything to take that away from you, to make you forget about it, but it wouldn't make me the ideal role model. I'd like to show you the true me, the one that doesn't have something to hide. I didn't want our friendship to be like that, where one party hides in the dark for the other to not see,” you said, fearful.
“Was this why you didn't go to school?” she asked in a whisper, reaching your ears, you nodded before Yoohyeon remained silent for a moment until she had the nerve to slowly approach you.
She came up to your form, sitting in front of you and cupping your cheeks, a move that caught you off guard.
Yoohyeon brushed your tears away with the pads of her fingertips, eventually realizing that you had an explanation for every question she posed about the three of you. She noticed how your face matched hers, and the fear and sadness in your eyes caused her to ache
She suddenly pulled you closer and closed the space between you after hearing you mutter silent apologies several times. You didn't know how to explain the way your lips molded together and the sweetness of it when you first kissed them.
It made you feel energetic like you were drinking, which gave you the strength to curl your arms around her waist and unconsciously draw the girl closer.
“I don't care what you did, Y/n, you said it yourself, it was unavoidable,” the girl said a few minutes later, holding her hand on your face and taking deep breaths. You didn't want to harm me, and I hope you still don't,” she said, getting a few nods in return
“Then as long as you don't want to purposefully harm me, I have no issues with who you are, you're always the Y/n we know. It's just bringing a little bit of intrigue and curiosity now that you've told us, the past is the past,”
A tiny grin appeared on your face as you remembered your mother's words, pulling the taller girl into a hug.
As you tucked your head in the crook of her neck, you relished being inside her embrace, and the sudden warm sensation that you never thought you'd experience again returned, spreading across your skin.
Though you're sure there are a number of things that will complicate going down this road you choose, you were sure both of you will figure it out, and for now, Yoohyeon embracing you was enough to relieve your worries and push them aside.
“Together, we'll work this out.”

traitor. (sokka x f!reader) pt 3
A/N: Finally we get to see Azula’s true nature! Also, the first time we get to see Zuko!! To be clear, Azula is in this fic a lot, but this is far from a redemption fic.
part 1 | part 2 | part 4
Zuko caught Y/N’s eyes like he wanted to ask her a million questions. But she was too embarrassed about everything to hold his gaze. She looked away hoping she didn’t look too guilty or shameful. She joined Azula in staring out the window. The cherry blossom trees were in bloom. They covered every square inch of sky as she looked out. It filled the room with a sweet scent that Y/N knew was going to permeate their clothes when they left. If she let her eyes go unfocused it looked like there was a raging fire in front of her.
Tumblr media
Y/N found herself outside in the palace gardens. She was running from something, but it wasn’t scary. She was laughing and she heard other girls laughing around her. She began to climb a tree, stifling her giggles the entire time. For some reason, she had to be quiet.
“You’re going to get in trouble for being up there,” Someone said from below.
Y/N looked down between the branches to see a boy her age. He was wearing a high ponytail held with a small fire pin.
“Why?” she asked. She jumped down to the lowest branch and sat there hanging her legs over the side. She didn’t want to get down just yet.
He arched one eyebrow. “Just ‘cause. If the palace gardener sees you climbing the trees, he’ll yell at you.”
“Well I’ll just tell him that my new friend is Princess Azula and that’ll shut him up.” Y/N laughed again and made a start to go back up the tree.
“Well, I’m her older brother Prince Zuko and I’m telling you, you’re gonna get in trouble.” He looked like he wanted to emphasize his sentence by sticking his tongue out at her.
“Why aren’t you playing hide-and-explode with us?” Y/N asked. She jumped down and landed lightly in front of Zuko. They were the same height, which made her feel oddly proud.
“I don’t like playing games with Azula,” Zuko said. “I’m ten–”
“–well I’m nine and a half and I can still have fun,” Y/N interrupted.
“You’re almost my age and you’re friends with Azula? What happened? Did you get held back?” Zuko taunted.
“No!” Y/N made a face. Suddenly she felt very self conscious. She didn’t know what ‘held back’ meant but it didn’t sound good, not when he was laughing at her. “This is the first time I’ve ever gone to real school. I just got put in her grade.”
Suddenly a fireball landed at Y/N’s feet; sparks flew up and singed her pants and burnt her legs. She squealed, a mix between surprise and pain.
“Azula!” Zuko snarled. He half stepped in front of Y/N, all hints of the earlier teasing gone. Zuko produced a similar fireball and threw it at Azula’s feet but she kicked it away, making it land in a nearby bush.
“You’re it, Y/N,” Azula ordered.
“It’s not fair, Azula. She’s not a bender,” Zuko argued.
“Neither are Mai and Ty Lee. And they don’t whine like babies.” The last part she directed at Y/N with a sneer.
“I’m not whining!” Y/N protested. She pushed Zuko out of the way and covered her eyes, beginning to count to twenty. She peeked at Zuko at fifteen. All the girls had already scattered but he just stood there watching her. “I’m faster than Azula anyways. I can catch her.”
She paused and looked at Zuko who stood there awkwardly. “Are you going to hide or what?” She asked. When she covered her eyes again she heard him run away, looking for a hiding place. She waited a beat before counting again, “–SIXTEEN, SEVENTEEN..”
Y/N woke to darkness. But it was always dark below deck. The only light came from candles and lanterns hung in the hallways. Her own candle was only an inch high and fading fast from the accumulation of wax. She could feel the familiar rock of the ship lulling her back to sleep… Y/N sat up quickly. She could tell that it was morning, possibly very early but she couldn’t risk going back to sleep. She tucked the covers under her neck and over her shoulders to snuggle down to ask the important questions. Why was she dreaming of Zuko?
The day they met was probably one of their most innocent and least notable moments. At least that’s what she thought. Or it was possible her brain was trying to make her feel guilty about what she and Azula were going to do today. That day wasn’t the last that Zuko had tried to protect her from his sister, it actually set the stage for years of him standing up to Azula in her place. Not that she needed it, she could hold her own plenty, but it felt nice to be protected.
Sometimes she wondered if they had more time together, if they’d have become better friends than her and Azula. Even though he was a fire-bender too, he spent a lot of training with his dual swords. Time that was spent with her on the training grounds. They sparred daily until his banishment; spirits, Y/N was sure they’d even sparred the day of the war meeting that started everything. Now she was going to find him, and lie to him, knowing that what awaited him at home was not a crown but a prison cell. Y/N shook her head to clear it and slid out of the bed and into her clothes. No use in thinking of the past when her future was all that was necessary. Honor and glory and all.
Y/N could hear Iroh and Zuko arguing a mile away. Azula and her had gotten there an hour before and broke inside the little cabin they were living in. They’d not so inconspicuously gone through all their stuff and upon not finding anything worth while, sat around just waiting.
“We don’t need any more useless things. You forget we have to carry everything for ourselves now!” Zuko lamented as Iroh dumped a bag of seashells on the table by the door, that looked suspiciously like the same seashells next to Azula on their dining table. Neither one had looked up to see them inside.
“Hello, brother,” Azula said. “Uncle.” Both of the men jumped.
“What are you doing here?” Zuko asked as he stepped his body in front of Iroh’s. He looked from Azula to where Y/N was sitting in the window sill behind Azula. Her stomach dropped. This was the first time she’d seen his scarred face. Pink and red scars circled his left eye and wrapped far back enough to cover his ear. His hair was no longer long, but shaved around his ponytail. He looked so much older even though it had only been three years. Y/N wasn’t sure what made him look so different, whether it was a scar that marred his face or the anger that seeped deep beneath his pores.
“In my country we exchange a pleasant hello before asking questions.” Azula picked up a seashell and inspected it. She glided across the room to stand in front of him. She was so much shorter than Zuko and Y/N but she carried so much power. “Have you become uncivilized so soon, Zuzu?”
“Don’t call me that!”
“To what do we owe this honor?” Iroh spoke up, breaking up the fight between the siblings before it started. Y/N moved to stand behind Azula.
“Hmm, must be a family trait. Both of you are so quick to get to the point.” Azula was still playing with the men like they were rabbit-mice. She snapped the shell she was holding in her hands. “I’ve come with a message from home. Father has changed his mind. Family is suddenly very important to him. He’s heard rumors of plans to overthrow him–treacherous plots.” Y/N looked to Zuko to gauge his reaction. His face had softened at hearing the news from his Father.
“Family are the only ones you can really trust,” Azula told him earnestly. “Father regrets your banishment. He wants you home.” Azula paused to look out the window.
When no one said anything, Azula whipped her head back around to stare at her brother. “Did you hear me? You should be happy, excited, grateful. I just gave you great news.”
“I’m sure your brother simply needs a moment–”
“Don’t interrupt, Uncle!” Her voice changed from sickeningly sweet as she plied Zuko with the words he wanted to hear to savage as she screamed at Iroh. Azula had never learned to be patient, and she wanted them on the ship now. “I still haven’t heard my thank you,” She growled at Zuko. “I’m not a messenger. I didn’t have to come all this way. I could have sent Y/N for this.”
Y/N tensed at her words. She bit her tongue so hard that she tasted blood. How dare Azula think she was her messenger hawk?
“Father regrets? He wants me back?” Zuko muttered. Y/N felt like this was a conversation with himself that they were all intruding on. Y/N had to admit that the words that Azula used to trick them were sweet as honey, but also not very believable.
Y/N touched the back of Azula’s arm. “I think that he needs time to take this in. It’s all very sudden for him.” She sent a smile in Zuko’s direction that he did not return.
“I’ll send Y/N to call on you tomorrow.” Azula concluded and she and Y/N took their leave.
“Why are you sending me tomorrow?” Y/N asked once they were out of range of the house.
“Zuko trusts you more than he does me,” Azula admitted. “I figure even if he decided he doesn’t want to come, you’ll be able to sweet talk him down the hill to our little ship.”
“Zuko and I were–”
“Oh shut up, Y/N. You two always had an eye for one another.”
Y/N felt her cheeks heat up. “I–”
“Besides that’s the reason my Father wanted you to come anyways.” They had reached the wooden dock that the ramp to their ship rested on.
Y/N stopped dead in her tracks. “What?”
Azula cocked her head. “Well, I figured you’d caught on to that already the way you were making moony eyes at my brother up there.”
“I wasn’t–How was I supposed to know I was only brought here to flirt Zuko’s ass all the way back to the Fire Nation?!”
“Just back to the ship. Once he gets here we’ll put him in a jail cell.”
“AZULA!”
“Look,” she snarled. “You’re good with a sword but what the hell is that going to do against a fire bender? It’s a fact that you being a non bender means you’re a liability in a fight.” Azula turned and marched up the ramp. That was the end of the discussion even if Y/N had more to say.
She looked down at her toes at the blue-green water between the slats. She could feel her eyes burning with unshed tears. She blinked them away and followed Azula onto the ship.
Y/N fisted her hands in her tunic and stalked to her room. Control your anger, control your anger she repeated over and over in her head. She wasn’t like Azula or Zuko, she couldn’t make something with the anger that grew and festered in her chest. She couldn’t throw a fireball at the nearest wall and hope that her anger dissipated like the sparks that fell to the floor. She shut her door and immediately balled up her fist and let it slam home against the wall. The thin metal crumpled easily under her hand. It stung, but that was good. Y/N let out a breath she thought she’d been holding since the dock. She collapsed onto her bed and pulled her knees to her chest.
It wasn’t a secret that she was a non-bender. But it’s not like it didn’t hurt to be reminded that she wasn’t as worthy because she was one.

The Nobleman’s Guide to Scandal and Shipwrecks - Montague Siblings #3, Mackenzi Lee
B+: a light, enjoyable read, though perhaps not as good as the first two books in the series.
It’s been more than fifteen years since the last book, and Monty and Felicity’s much younger brother, Adrian, has come of age. He’s writing liberal pamphlets with his girlfriend, dealing with a brutal anxiety disorder, and investigating the mysterious and possibly supernatural death of his mother. Which leads him to Monty, the brother his parents never told him he had. Which leads them to Felicity and another adventure around Europe,
I will say that Adrian is not nearly as charismatic a protagonist as Monty or Felicity. Most of this is due to his internal narrative being a constant stream of catastrophizing and insecurity. Lee doesn’t shy away from making his mental illness clear, but it often distracts from the readability of the story when every line of dialogue is then intercut with a full page of Adrian’s stream-of-consciousness. Sacrificing ease-of-reading for representation.
All in all, though, I’m impressed with this sequel. I especially liked that Lee doesn’t shy away from the flaws of her characters, especially the more beloved ones like Monty. The characters of her former stories are nearly 40 now, and it would have been understandable for Lee to make them into perfect people with perfect lives. But they’re messy, and there’s this beautiful balance between them not being perfect and still being the prickly assholes we know without their character development being ruined.
I think that without a cast of friends in the same age range for Adrian to have, the story suffers. In the Lady’s Guide, Felicity stands on her own and with her new friends for the vast majority of the book, with Monty only at the beginning and end. In this one, the siblings themselves are the focus, which means that in most scenes Adrian is the only person on the page under the age of 20. It makes for a very different reading experience.
Plot: fast-paced, campy, and the perfect blend of character development with action. Seriously, Lee writes character-driven adventure novels to perfection: while I think the Montague Siblings series ended in a good place, I’d love to see her work continue in the genre.
Characters: our old favourites shine. I think that having so many cameos from older cast members is the reason why the characters that are actual teens are pushed to the side. However, I loved the old characters so much I’m willing to let it go - especially Simmaa, the love of my whole life. I’ve already mentioned not liking Adrian, and I think his fiance Louisa was similarly uninteresting, but I liked seeing Georgie all grown up and I found Saad charming.
Setting: as usual, wonderful. I like that Lee never takes us to the same place twice, and that all of them feel remarkably different. I think the magical elements weren’t as good in this one as they were in the Lady’s Guide, though - although that might just be because I’m a bigger fan of dragons than I am of evil pirate ships.
Prose: while the dialogue is still witty, the narration suffers with Adrian as a protagonist. He just isn’t as funny as Monty or Felicity, meaning that we miss out on a lot of great narrative moments that we would have had with the other two.
While I was very impressed with Lee’s portrayal of Sim in the last book, I didn’t like her portrayal of another Muslim woman, Basira Khan, in this one. In the only scene where we meet her, she’s naked in the bath and rubbing herself with oil while she’s talking to Adrian. It just felt exoticized and gross and playing into evil brown seductress tropes I’m not a huge fan of.

What if the Sound Trio survived and became Leaf ninjas?
Headcanons under the cut (bitch, it’s a lot of headcanons)
~ Chunin Exam Finals/Invasion~
Dosu was shown to be suspicious of Orochimaru because of the whole Sasuke/curse mark thing and seemed like he wasn’t wanting to be a part of Orochimaru’s shit anymore so he’s the one who realizes something is up
Rather than face Gaara he somehow finds out about sand’s allegiance with sound (overhearing Baki and Kabuto on the way to Gaara, eavesdropping on Orochimaru [because, again, sus], etc...) and that’s what pushes him to defect from sound (also how he manages to live)
Dosu, Zaku, and Kin aren’t necessarily close, but in the anime Dosu did sort of say he was gonna get revenge on behalf of Zaku for what happened to his arms so there is a sense of something there (whether it be friendship, camaraderie, or just wanting to stick together to survive... idk) and Dosu tells his teammates what’s up and convinces them that they gotta GTFO
Zaku is a little more difficult to convince because why would Orochimaru do that to him? He saved Zaku from being a street rat, he gave Zaku power
Dosu ain’t having it and is like “if you wish to stay behind then that is your decision, in the end it is better for us to not have to carry any dead weight” (obviously referring to Zaku’s inability to do anything because of his arms)
Dosu then proceeds to tell Zaku how he no longer serves a purpose without his arms and he was nice enough to still want to take Zaku with him, Orochimaru would not be so kind
Zaku is upset because he knows Dosu has a point and they all leave
They (read: Dosu) decide that their best chance of survival is staying in Konoha because, the minute they leave, the sound village/Orochimaru will be gunning for their asses and also they’d be missing-nin, so others would try to kill them too
But what can they do to assure they don’t get imprisoned or killed due to having worked under Orochimaru? Rat out the sound village and give all the information they know/found out about the invasion and sand’s involvement
Third Hokage is a cool dude and also was Orochimaru’s teacher so he knows the kind of power this bitch can have over people which is why he agrees to let the sound trio stay and have them watched by Anbu
Dosu does not participate in the chunin exam finals because witness protection, or something
The invasion still happens because Orochimaru ain’t stupid. His “pawns” are nowhere to be found so it’s likely they’re betraying him, so obviously he makes changes to the plan
Dosu, Kin, and Zaku do not participate in fighting off the invasion because, uh, super strict house arrest orders???
Third Hokage dies and this FREAKS the trio out because a) oh shit Orochimaru actually did it and b) we’re only allowed to be here because of him, so what’s going to happen to us
Council is deciding what to do with them and has them staying hidden/as they were, but what’s more important to them is finding Tsunade and having her take over as Hokage so the trio are just anxiously chilling
Tsunade is Hokage now and she decides to let them stay because they turned their backs on Orochimaru and also she trusts Sarutobi’s judgment on letting them stay initially, but they are still going to be watched by Anbu to be sure
Naruto and co. find out about the trio and they are PISSED because “not only did you try to kill Sasuke, not only are you from the village that attacked us, not only did you work for Orochimaru but you did nothing to defend Konoha during the invasion. If you want to be a part of this village then you should have helped”
Tsunade tells these bitches to simmer down. They were under Anbu house arrest. She’s Hokage and they need to respect her decision. Also Zaku, let’s fix your arms.
~Sasuke Retrieval Arc~
Everyone is immediately on the trio’s ass because “we knew you couldn’t be trusted”
Tsunade has to tell everyone to stfu again
The trio want to go (to prove themselves) and feel they can be of assistance but Tsunade is like Catherine of Aragon because she says there’s no no no no NO WAY. It’s already a dangerous mission, it might be more so for them because Orochimaru is probably after their heads for betraying him and knows all of their skills
Everything about the arc is the same until the point where Shikamaru, Kiba, and Lee need help. Instead of the Sand Siblings being the ones to arrive it’s the sound trio
Zaku saves Kiba... mainly because I imagine them being friends once the trio are accepted and I just want this to be the beginning of their friendship. How he saves him idk because I’m not creative when it comes to fights
Kin saves Shikamaru. Again idk how. Zaku’s slicing sounds waves make more sense here because they work similar to Temari’s fan but I want it to be Kin because kunoichi vs. kunoichi, genjutsu vs. genjutsu, and also the idea of Kin saving the guy who beat her in such an embarrassing way does something to me, but also is a sort of redemption? I just want this battle to show off how skilled Kin can be because she was very underutilized and kinda weak in the original story and I love her so much, she deserves to do cool shit. So let her outsmart Tayuya and, in a way, she is outsmarting Shikamaru because he had no more plans to fall back on
Dosu saves Lee. Again, idk how and, again, I think Zaku’s slicing sound waves would be better here because they can keep Kimimaro (a close range fighter) at bay but I guess seeing Dosu and Kimimaro throwing hands would be cool. And then you have that redemption moment with Lee because Dosu kicked his ass in the forest of death and now he’s saving Lee!
After the mission, despite its failure, the trio are accepted as leaf shinobi and are introduced to their new sensei: cue Anko crashing through the window with a big sign introducing herself again
Similarly to the moment when Naruto spoke out and Anko threw a kunai at him, Zaku gives a snide comment and Anko is immediately at his throat, and then she’s like “JK! But don’t say that again you little shit!”
Anko was chosen to lead the trio due to her past with Orochimaru and because of that she can better understand them
~Other Headcanons~
It took the Konoha 12 a while to accept the trio. The first ones to accept them were Kiba, Lee, and Shikamaru (duh) but also Choji and even Naruto. Choji became cool with them when he found out Shikamaru was cool with them because he trusts Shikamaru’s judgment, and despite originally trying to kill his teammate, Naruto accepts them because they came out and helped so that means they’re a-okay in his book. Neji was slightly taken aback but also accepted them pretty quickly. Basically, the retrieval team was like “yeah okay” and vouch for them.
The ones who took the longest to come around were Ino and Sakura because did y’all just forget what happened at the forest of death???
As I said, I imagine Kiba and Zaku being friends. Mainly because I feel they have similar personalities in the sense that they’re both pretty cocky, boisterous, and talk shit. I imagine them kinda being like rivals in the sense of they’re always trying to one up each other
Zaku is still not fond of Shino because of the whole bugs in arms thing so whenever Shino is around Zaku is just like “I hate your teammate” to Kiba
Kin/Shikamaru could potentially replace the Temari/Shikamaru relationship. Both Kin and Temari are very similar in the sense of being an ex-villain, being viewed as scarier/more intense compared to the Konoha girls, being older by a couple years, and they both lost (well, Temari technically won but we all know she lost) to Shikamaru. Because of this the Kin/Shikamaru relationship wouldn’t be all that different to how the Temari/Shikamaru relationship is shown
That being said I love the sand siblings and don’t want them gone and because of how similar I feel Kin and Temari are they become really good friends and Kin enjoys when Temari visits. They both make Shikamaru’s life hell though. Double Trouble™️
Also I said potentially because I like exploring the idea of Kin/Zaku or Kin/Dosu (:
Dosu and Shino actually get along really well (much to the dismay of Zaku). They’re the type of people where they can sit in silence with each other and it’s just chill. And when they have to work together they kinda have flawless teamwork and don’t even need to speak to know what the other plans on doing
Kin and Sakura actually get along now? They’re not best friends by any means but they can be civil and respect each other
Team Kurenai and Team Sand are the teams that the trio get along with the best/most easily tho
Kin cut her hair to her lower back. Cue everyone cracking jokes about Neji and Kin looking the same from behind. Kin stops tying her hair after that
The trio have really well trained ears because back in Otogakure they had to learn to pick up on the subtlest of sounds in order to spy on enemies and communicate at such a low volume that to any normal ear sounds like silence but to them the message is loud and clear
Because of this they’re all amazing singers (Dosu is the best tho because he has the best trained ear. Seriously, being able to tell what someone is writing based on the sounds of their pencil? Skills.) and everyone likes hearing them sing.
That being said, despite being from the land of sound they didn’t actually know any songs because the sound village doesn’t really do music. It was forbidden because no one is allowed joy in the land of sound. Jk. But it did have to do with depriving people of normalcy because Orochimaru was creating an army of followers
This little singing/music tidbit was discovered by Naruto and he took it upon himself to show the trio music. It wasn’t all good music, but it’s music!
Also, despite being the best singer, Dosu doesn’t really do it. Dude doesn’t even hum. He’ll only sing if Kin and Zaku start pestering or if Anko wants him to
The first (and only) time Kin and Zaku saw Dosu cry was shortly after they became leaf shinobi. Anko and Tsunade were telling the team how brave it was for them to leave Orochimaru and sound behind, and Anko especially complimented Dosu on taking him and his team out of that situation. Kin and Zaku had been trying to hold back tears and keep up their tough image but the minute they saw Dosu crying, not trying to wipe away his tears or hide them or anything they lost it
No one talks about their little crying session. It’s a secret
Despite getting his arms fixed by Tsunade, Zaku still has problems with them, especially his right one (I think that’s the one that got blown off) and needs to get them treated consistently. Partly due to the fact they he didn’t give himself all the time to heal after Tsunade fixed him because he went to help the retrieval team and, mainly, because of Orochimaru’s experiments. Like, essentially Zaku’s air tube surgery was actually kind of botched and, for lack of a better term, experimental, and is fucking with the nerves and muscles and chakra in his arms and kinda eating away at them. And the crazy damage he took from getting his arms blown off only fucked everything up more
Eventually Zaku gets a better version of his air tube in his left arm and has to completely replace the right arm with a cool prosthetic that lets him do stronger/cooler jutsus
Kin has combined singing with her genjutsu and has created a sort of mind control jutsu... I may or may not have gotten this idea while listening to Come Little Children and remembering that Sarah Sanderson would control kids with song
The trio think Sasuke is a fUCKING DUMBASS for willingly going with Orochimaru. Like, bitch we had to leave that no good asshole for the betterment of our lives and you just waltz out of Konoha and straight into his arms?! What is you doing Uchiha?!

pairing: lee felix x reader
genre: angst, fluff
warning(s): none
a/n: uhh idk how i feel about this one but hopefully you enjoy it!
Tumblr media
you shut your locker door, eyes locked onto your phone screen as you made your way to your first period class. you had been typing a message to your best friend, lily, when you bumped into someone, running straight into the chest of lily’s older brother, felix.
felix was in the grade above you and lily, making him a senior in high school. felix was friends with 8 other boys, age ranging from sophomores to seniors like himself. they didn’t like being referred to as the popular boys, but that’s what they were. you and lily, on the other hand, were not. the only reason everyone knew your names around school is because of lily being felix’s sister and you being her best friend. otherwise, no one payed attention to you. i mean, you were a junior in high school and you had yet to have a date to a single dance. lily had a boyfriend, but you hadn’t ever had one.
you raised your head to apologize to the person you bumped into, changing your plan when you noticed it was felix.
you smiled at him, “watch where you’re going, dumbass.”
he laughed as you began to walk away, grabbing you by the shoulders and pulling your back to his chest, “what? what did you say?”
you laughed, thrashing in his grip, “nothing! never spoke a word in my whole life!”
you broke free from his arms and ran to hide behind one of his friends, changbin.
felix laughed, “oh, come on, y/n, pick someone taller to hide behind! i can see right over changbin!”
changbin abandoned you in the open as he darted forward to playfully hit felix, but was cut off by your best friends voice.
“hey, get your own y/n! this ones mine.” lily pulled you by the arm out of the crowd of her brothers friends. felix and changbin stilled their playful fight, standing up straight to address the new voice.
felix smiled and stepped towards you and his sister, ruffling her hair, “keep telling yourself y/n likes you more than me, little sis.”
lily did not find his joke funny, huffing as she dragged you away by her grip on your arm and to your shared first period class.
she sat down in the seat beside you and looked at you with a frown on her face, “my brother and his stupid friends are so annoying, god.”
she buried her face in her hands, resting her head on the desk. you guessed it was just a sibling thing, because you actually found that entire group very entertaining and fun to be around. not to mention that they were all drop dead gorgeous. you’d never tell lily this, but you thought felix was one of the most ethereal people you’d ever seen.
as the time for class to begin came nearer, more people found their way to the classroom. with lily still having her head on the desk, probably having fallen asleep, you had nothing to do but scroll through your phone. just as you were about to pull out your headphones, you heard one of the girls entering the classroom discussing something with her friends.
“the dance is this weekend already? oh my god, i need to get a dress.”
“really? i have mine already, wanna see a picture?”
you tuned them out for a while, but didn’t put your headphones in. you had forgotten the dance was this saturday. you still weren’t sure if you were going or not, to be honest. you were sure that if lily brought her boyfriend you’d be third wheeling the entire time, and there wasn’t anyone else you really wanted to spent the dance with.
“hyunjin and felix? how do they not have dates by now?”
at the mention of familiar names, you began to listen in again. you chuckled at their confusion, hyunjin always waited until last minute to get a date. he never really went with anyone as a real date, but he always brought some girl to entertain him for the night, whatever that may include. felix though, you were a bit surprised by. although he hadn’t had an official girlfriend since his sophomore year, he nearly always had some girl stuck to his hip. he wasn’t a player or a fuckboy, though, he claimed that he had only slept with a few of the girls he had been with. either way, you were sure that both boys would have a date secured by the time saturday rolled around.
the teacher walked into the room as she greeted your class good morning, forcing you to shove the thought of the dance to the back of your mind.
school passed slowly and painfully, but eventually, just as most days, you ended up walking to lily’s house after school while listening to her complain about something her boyfriend had said.
you reached her front door before she did, testing the knob to see if it was locked. it wasn’t, so you pushed the door open and stepped inside, immediately to be greeted by a living room of 9 loud high school boys.
lily stepped in beside you, rolling her eyes, “jesus christ, can we go to your house?”
you turned to her as you shook your head, “mom has clients over.”
lily grumbled as she pushed her way past the boys and into the living room, tossing jisungs jacket off of the couch and replacing it with herself.
you sat your things down by your shoes and followed your best friend to the couch, lifting her legs off of the cushion so you could sit down beside her. not long after, the boys piled their way into the living room as well.
“seriously,” lily began, “can you guys go to like chans house or something?”
“nope,” felix popped a chip into his mouth, “we were here first.”
he chuckled as his sister rolled her eyes, making eye contact with you and sending a wink your way, “plus, what if i wanna stay and hang out with y/n?”
lily let out an audible sign of annoyance at that.
“literally felix, for two seconds, can you stop hitting on my best friend? it’s fucking gross.”
changbin piped up, “hey felix, don’t you have a spot open for your date to the formal in a few days?”
lily immediately interrupted, “oh my god, no, not happening.”
you wouldn’t be opposed to going to a dance with felix, or even going out with him in any other way. he was good looking and you enjoyed being around him. you’d always had a childish little crush on him since you and lily met back in 6th grade, but you knew lily would never okay the two of you dating, so you never tried to be anything more than friends with the boy.
“why not?” continued changbin, “neither of them have a date! it’s perfect!”
lily shook her head, “no. nope. hyunjin doesn’t have a date either, does he? why can’t she go with him?”
you let out a chuckle, “or felix and jinnie could go together.”
hyunjin leaned forward and shoved you softly as he and everyone else laughed at your joke, “i mean, i’m down if you are.”
you blushed at his words and the soft and warm smile he was sending you. it’s not that you had a crush on him, even, it’s just that one of the most attractive and popular boys in your high school was asking you to a dance and although you assumed it would be as friends, he never said it was.
jisung let out a cheer, “woah felix, you’ve got competition!”
felix laughed at jisungs words, but his eyes didn’t smile with him. you didn’t have time to think about it before hyunjin was speaking again.
“so, miss y/n, will you go to the formal with me?”
lily clapped excitedly and you looked over to her. she gestured for you to look back at hyunjin, so you did.
“um, sure?”
the boys cheered and shoved hyunjin around and you laughed at their actions.
“lily,” called chan, “didn’t think you’d be so excited about this!”
she laughed, raising her eyebrows in a teasing manner, “anything to keep felix off of her.”
felix chuckled, “who says this is gonna stop me?”
the rest of the night went normally, all 11 of you blowing off your homework to watch movies huddled together on lily and felix’s couches. lily often said the boys annoyed her, but you knew she enjoyed moments like this more than anything.
after finishing two movies, the sun had set and your curfew was approaching, as well as many of the other boys’. you all stood up, save lily and felix, and began to get ready to leave.
“hey,” chan called to you as you put your shoes on, “need a ride? it’s dark out, you shouldn’t walk.”
you were about to agree and thank him when felix spoke, “why doesn’t her new boyfriend give her a ride?”
his words were playful and his tone was light, but when you glanced over to him, his face didn’t look like he meant it to be funny. you shrugged it off, he was probably tired.
hyunjin chuckled as he sent a wink your way. you could tell he was enjoying the attention, and you couldn’t lie, you were too. you look at him as he pulled his keys from his pocket with a smile, gesturing you to follow him.
you were so wrapped up in the interaction that you barely noticed felix rise from his seat on the couch and head upstairs to his room.
you didn’t have any romantic feelings for hyunjin and you doubted he had any for you, but you felt butterflies in your stomach as he took your hand and lead you to his car. you knew he was probably just playing into the fun and enjoying the attention, but you couldn’t help but think to yourself that you could fall for him.
the ride home wasn’t very long, but hyunjin turned on some music and the two of you sang at the top of your lungs until he pulled into your driveway. you unbuckled you’re seatbelt and stepped out of the car.
“hey, wait, don’t i get a goodbye kiss?” hyunjin pouted.
you laughed as you shut the car door, slapping the hood of his car on your way inside while yelling to him.
“oh you wish, hwang!”
you could hear his laugh through the shut car doors, and you laughed to yourself as you entered your house. you found your way to your room and got yourself ready for bed, thoughts of hyunjin and felix on your mind.
you didn’t want to get yourself worked up, knowing you and hyunjin were most likely going as friends, but you couldn’t help but think that maybe he was what you needed to finally get over felix.
the news of hyunjin asking you to the dance was well known by the time you walked into the school. no one approached you and asked about it, but you heard people talking about it as you passed them. some of the comments were supportive and happy, others not so much. you also picked up on the fact that felix had found himself a date since the previous night. he had called her and asked her soon after everyone left his house the night before.
you kneeled down beside your locker as you rummaged through your backpack, trying to get everything to sit in it in a comfortable way that didn’t leave the book corners stabbing into your back.
you stood and closed your locker door just as lily and her brother and his friends were heading past you. you raised your hand and waved to them, to which felix took the opportunity to high-five you, interlocking his fingers with yours as your hands fell. you laughed, shaking his hand off of your own, smiling at hyunjin, who was on the other end of the group.
he made his way through the group and to you.
“so,” you began, “word spread fast.”
he chuckled, “yeah, no kidding. i don’t even know how everyone found out so quickly, i only told the guys and a few other people.”
you smiled, “lily has a big mouth.”
your conversation was cut short as the bell rang and everyone split ways to head to class.
the rest of the week went similar to that, you and hyunjin didn’t interact too much more than usual, other than when people made a point to bring it up and when you were discussing what you’d wear to the dance.
you’d noticed a few times since the night hyunjin asked you to the dance that felixs eyes didn’t crinkle every time he laughed at one of hyunjins jokes and he didn’t tease you quite as often, but you didn’t think too much of it. he had a date to the dance, and probably didn’t want to upset her by being flirty with other people, even though everyone knew they weren’t anything serious.
when saturday finally rolled around, you went to lily’s house to get ready. the boys had gathered at chans place, so felix wasn’t there to bother the two of you.
you slid the dress over your shoulders, looking at yourself in lily’s full body mirror. you and hyunjin had settled on blue, a pretty basic color for a high school dance.
lily gasped when she saw the way the dress looked on you, “you look amazing, oh my god, hyunjins not gonna know what hit him.”
you laughed, but you couldn’t help the thought at the back of your head that was asking what felix would think of your get up.
lily put on her dress and had you tie her hair into a tight braided bun before helping you with your own hairstyle. you didn’t want to wear too much makeup, settling on just concealer for a few spots, eyeliner and mascara, and lipgloss.
lily was more into makeup than you, and she took a while to do her full face of makeup, but you thought she looked stunning when she finished. some people would say she wore too much makeup, but you loved her creativity and confidence.
on perfect timing, there was a knock on the front door. lily ran downstairs, saying she’d check if it was her boyfriend or hyunjin. the four of you agreed to meet at lily’s house and carpool to the dance.
you made your way downstairs and we’re greeted by lily’s boyfriend, but weren’t given much time to introduce yourself to him before hyunjin knocked on the door.
lily let hyunjin inside and went to grab her things from her bedroom before the four of you piled into hyunjins car and headed to the school. you and hyunjin sat in front with lily and her boyfriend in the back seats.
“you look really nice, y/n.” hyunjin smiled at you from the drivers seat.
you looked him up and down as best as you could in the small car and pretended to be thinking before replying.
“you look okay, i guess.”
he took one hand off the wheel momentarily to lightly shove you, commenting on how if you kept being mean he’d kick you out of the car and make you walk to the dance in your heels.
hyunjin parked his car in the school parking lot as close to the building as he could. he took the keys out of the ignition and stepped out of his car, jogging around to open your door for you.
you took his hand as he helped you out of his car, waiting for lily and her boyfriend to walk inside. the dance had technically began a few minutes before you arrived, but none of you were too worried, it wasn’t anything even close to being as big of a deal as prom was.
the four of you entered the school and walked into the gymnasium that the dance was being held in, your arm secured around hyunjins.
the two of you matched super well considering you’d only agreed to be dates a few days prior. he had a blue tie around his neck that was nearly the same color as your dress with a white button up and black dress pants, complimenting your outfit perfectly.
lily drug her boyfriend off to introduce him to her other friends and hyunjin lead you to where he spotted his friends standing off to the side, ignoring the looks you two got as you made your way across the room.
hyunjin removed his arm from your grip to greet each of the boys with a small hug or a high five, politely introducing himself to their dates and saying hello to the ones he already knew. you did the same, greeting each of the boys and their dates.
“wow,” felix blinked, “you look really good, y/n.”
you beamed up at him, “thank you! hyunjins lucky he had a tie that matched my dress.”
you chose to ignore the way felix tensed when you mentioned the name of your date, choosing instead to grab his arm along with hyunjins and drag them into the middle of the gym where everyone was dancing. his date as well as few of the others followed and you all laughed and danced for a while.
you were in the middle of chatting with jisungs date, who he had brought from a different school, when the music changed to a slow song. you began to walk off of the dance floor and towards the side, but you didn’t get far, as hyunjin caught your hand with his and motioned for you to follow him back to the center of the floor.
he guided your hands to his shoulders before placing his gently on your hips, pulling you so there wasn’t much space between the two of you, but still enough to not make you uncomfortable.
you smiled up at him, your cheeks turning red. he chuckled when he noticed.
“what? embarrassed?”
you nodded, “little bit. no ones ever asked me to slow dance before.”
he smiled, “oh, i get the honors?”
“i suppose you do.”
you locked eyes and his smile began to slowly fall from his face, and before you knew what was happening, his lips were on yours. you tensed in his arms from surprise, letting yourself relax when you comprehended what was happening. he slowly pulled away, scanning your face for discomfort, smiling when he saw none.
the moment was short lived, however. just moments after the sweet interaction, hyunjins eyes locked with something behind you and his smile fell. he removed his hands from your body and rushed in the direction he was looking. you turned around in confusion, seeing him follow felix out of the gym.
worried something had happened, you followed after him and found him and felix talking in an empty part of the hallway. felix noticed you before hyunjin did, stopping in the middle of what he was saying and storming off.
“whatever hyunjin, thanks a lot.”
you hurried over to hyunjin, placing a hand on his arm as he ran his hands through his hair.
“fuck, i’m sorry, y/n.”
you furrowed you’re eyebrows, “hyunjin? what’s wrong?”
“i messed up- fuck.”
he saw hurt and confusion flash across your face.
“no, no, no, i don’t regret kissing you, i promise. it’s just that i figured since felix didn’t intervene when i asked you out the other night and he hadn’t said anything to me about us coming here together until now i figured he was finally over you and i could shoot my shot but apparently-“
you cut him off, “hyunjin, slow down, what’s going on?”
“i like you, y/n, i do, but i can’t do this to felix.”
you didn’t respond for a moment, taking time to process everything that had happened within the last few minutes. hyunjin kissing you was a big enough shock, but now he was saying felix had feelings for you? that he couldn’t be with you because felix wanted to date you? the same lee felix that you’d had a crush on for years and also were strictly forbidden by your best friend to date?
you pulled hyunjins hands from his face, forcing him to look at you, “where did felix go?”
“home, i think. he might still be in the parking lot.”
you grabbed hold of hyunjins hand and ran as fast as you could to the door in heels. you scanned the parking lot for felix and saw him unlocking his car.
“felix!”
his head snapped up and he watched you and hyunjin make your way to him. he unlocked his car and threw the door open, ready to get in. he locked eyed with hyunjin and scoffed.
“really, hyunjin? you couldn’t just leave it? you had to come rub it in some more?”
he moved to get into his car before you spoke again, “felix, wait.”
he clenched his jaw as his eyes went from hyunjins to yours. it was hard to believe the same annoying and cuddly felix as always was the same boy standing in front of you with anger filling his eyes.
“i like you.”
a look of confusion flashed over his face and he blinked down at you, “what?”
“i like you, felix.”
he slowly removed himself from his car and shut the door, standing in front of you and hyunjin. he looked at hyunjin with a slight frown.
“but he- you kissed him, though.”
you sighed in frustration, “felix can you stop talking about him kissing me and do it for yourself?”
you didn’t give him time to think, stepping towards him and cupping his face with your hands as you pressed a kiss to his lips. you felt him relax against you, bringing his hands to rest on your waist. he broke the kiss first, pulling away and diverting his eyes to hyunjin, who was trying as hard as possible to keep his eyes focused on anything other than the two of you in front of him.
felix let out a small laugh, “sorry for blowing up, hyunjin.”
“huh? oh, uh, yeah, it’s alright man. i should probably,” he gestured to the building, “you know, you kinda left your date alone and... yeah.”
hyunjin hurried back into the school, feeling like he had witnessed a moment that should have been saved for just you and felix.
felix turned his attention back to you, leaning forward and placing another kiss to your lips hesitantly, like he was afraid you’d change your mind and push him away. you felt him smile against your lips as you kissed him back. you walked him backwards until his back was against the side of his car, to which he immediately took you by your shoulders and swapped your positions, so you were pinned in between the car and him. he laughed at the surprised sound you made, kissing you again, rougher this time. he pulled away before getting too carried away, he didn’t want to rush things.
“you know, i was gonna ask you to this dance.”
you smiled, “why didn’t you?”
“hyunjin. and lily.”
your heart sank, you forgot about lily. what were you going to tell her? you knew how much she hated the idea of you and felix together, even when it was just innocent jokes and harmless flirting. how was she going to react to it being a real thing?
felix noticed the look on your face, bringing his hand to your chin and tilting your head up to face him.
“we’ll figure it out.” he kissed you again, “i promise.”
he released you from his arms, telling you to get into the passenger seat.
“we’re going on a date.”
you laughed, “now?”
he buckled his seatbelt and turned the car on, “when else?”
felix drove you to a cafe near the school, having you order whatever you wanted and insisting that he’d fight you if you didn’t let him pay.
you and felix sat at the cafe for the rest of the night, talking and having fun. it wasn’t uncomfortable, you and felix talked often anyway. the only difference was that you both knew of your feelings for each other. you would have stayed all night, but felixs phone rang with a text from his sister, asking why he wasn’t home an hour after the dance ended. he typed a reply that he was with the boys before driving you to your house, kissing you one more time before you went inside.
the next few weeks continued like this, late night dates and keeping your relationship from lily. you planned to tell her eventually, you just needed to figure out how. you didn’t end up figuring out a plan of how to tell her, however. she found out before you or felix were ready to tell her.
you were sat with felix in your living room, cuddled into his side as you watched the movie playing on the screen in front of you. lily was supposed to be out with some of her friends, and you had told her you were going to stay home and help your mom prepare for her next clients, even though both of your parents were out for the night.
she believed it, of course. it wasn’t uncommon for you to skip social gatherings to stay home, you liked your alone time.
somewhere a few hours into your movie night with felix, the both of you fell asleep with you cuddled into him and his arms secure around you.
you were both woken suddenly by the sound of your front door flying open and lily storming in.
“oh my god, y/n, you won’t believe what-“
she paused when she got to your living room and caught sight of you and felix huddled together under a blanket, not having had time to separate yourselves before she stormed in.
she frowned in confusion, “what’s-“
“oh my gosh, lily, i’m sorry, i didn’t know you were coming over.”
you frantically separated yourself from felix, but you knew she’d already seen enough to know what was happening.
“yeah,” her face went from confused to angry, “i texted you.”
“i’m sorry, i didn’t see it-“
“obviously not.” she turned to felix, “you’re such an asshole.”
she moved to leave the room, but felix jumped up from his seat next to you and stepped between her and the exit.
“please, lily, let us explain.”
she tried to shove past him, “explain what, felix?” you could hear her voice shaking, she was going to cry. “she’s my best friend! can’t i have one fucking thing without you needing to take it away from me?”
he grabbed her arms, holding her so she would stop trying to get past him. he expected her to fight back harder, but instead she relaxed into his arms and sunk to the floor, tears falling from her eyes.
“you have so many close friends, felix. i only have y/n.”
“you have tons of friends lily, what are you talking about?”
“no!” she began to fight against him again, “no, you don’t understand, none of them stick with me like y/n does! you have all of the boys to care for you and now you have y/n too. why couldn’t you let me have one thing that makes me happy without ruining it?”
you kneeled beside them, placing a hand on lily’s shoulder, “lily, you’ve been my best friend for years, you still are. nothing is going to change that. i’m not leaving you for felix, i promise. i would never leave you.”
she stared at you through teary eyes and a frown, “you ignored me tonight to hang out with him.”
you sighed, “i know, and i’m sorry. but this is no different than if i was with someone other than felix. no matter who it is, you’re going to have to share me with them.”
she brought a hand to her face and wiped her tears away, and felix loosened his hold on her.
“yeah, but at least if it was someone else i could hang out with you and him. i don’t want to see you eating my brothers face 24/7.”
you let out a weak laugh, “we can agree to keep the PDA on a low, okay? we hang out with the boys a lot anyway, right? it won’t be too much different.”
you smiled when you saw her lips begin to curl upwards, “i guess. just... don’t kiss in front of me.”
before you could agree to her conditions, felix leaned forward and placed a quick kiss to your lips, getting up and running out of your living room right after.
you laughed as lily hurried to her feet to chase him, “you suck, felix!”
you heard him call from somewhere around your house, “nope, y/n does that!”
“i’m going to throw up, oh my god!”

How I think Stray Kids would react when you babysit your younger Sibling/Cousin(s)
***
Disclaimer: This is totally 110% my opinion and isn’t meant to dictate the way they act in real life. Also I want to clear up that when I say younger I mean like within the 3-8 age range. This is purely based of me and my thoughts so please take this post with a grain of salt.
Tumblr media
Bang Chan
Chan is definitely the type of person who wants to make others happy so I feel like he would get along with your family well
He is definitely the type to change his voice and act sweeter when they are around
He would try hard get them to interact with them and would use a lot of baby talk and a lot of cringed dancing
I feel like he be awkward at first but persistent with the children and would rather engage in more docile activities like coloring and painting
He would and will feed the younger ones and he really enjoys giving them toys to play with
He is the type to watch movies with your family
Very sweet and kind and would buy snacks for them to get on your Sibling/Cousin(s) good side
He wore a cocky smile once when the kids all told him he was the best big brother/cousin ever
He never let you forget that he was the favorite out of you both
He is the type to be affectionate to an extent: he likes to give hugs and hold hands
Very much the kind of guy who would stay by your Sibling/cousin(s) side until they fall asleep
Is not the best with babies
Cant stand the smell of diapers but he will ask you to teach him because he wants to help
Didn’t know to carry the baby right
Overall I feel like Chan would put in effort to get along with your family because he wants you happy. He actually likes kids so I feel like calming acts like drawing and painting while listening to nice music or BGM would be a common thing with him. He would also give lots of hugs because he is just sweet like that. He flaunts his popularity with the kids in front of you a lot, but you know he would be nothing without your advice.
Tumblr media
Minho
Lee Know is a pretty reserved and emotional unavailable person at times until you get to know him so I feel like kids aren’t exactly his forte HOWEVER despite my first thoughts I actually found out he has a big soft spot for children
For babies he is really adorable his pride is also out the window he won’t spare a single glance to you because then he gets embarrassed but he loves baby talk and will interact a bit with baby toys. And he LIVES for making kids smile and laugh. I feel like when they are a certain age he would do more older “fitting” things
He would express his fondness in his own way so I feel like he would try to indirectly warm up/ get them to warm up to him by getting their favorite snacks or getting board games and things they like for them.
You would tell your cousins that Minho had gotten them and you swear you had seen a shadow of a smile grace his features when your Sibling/cousin(s) swarmed him in hugs
You caught Minho one time babbling and waiving toys around with your sibling/cousin(s). He was smiling and tickling the child and pressing small kisses to their face(s) and head(s). He didn’t notice you were there until you started laughing at this uncharacteristic side of him and he threatened you to keep quiet.
He is actually good with babies even tho he won’t admit it.
He does know how to change diapers despite being an only child
Can hold babies right he likes to pick them up and walk around with them
Very much the type who would calmly watch movies with them
WOULD 100% COOK DINNER FOR THEM or makes them snacks
He is the type of person to be considerate with smaller portions for the kids
WOULD CUTE SANDWICHES WITH COOKIE CUTTERS
Would bring his cats out and would encourage the children to play with them
He would bring out cat toys and smile as the kids run around with cat toys (plz I love this dude 😭)
WOULD 100% TAKE FILTERED SELFIES WITH THEM AND POST IT
Overall I feel like Minho is a softie for kids but just doesn’t know to approach them right. He does try and the kids do love him. He always believes in making them comfortable and he gets happy when the kids love his food. It took him a bit but he grew to love them a lot.
Tumblr media
Changbin
I am a firm believer of Changbin being a menace so I feel like he would get along with kids well in general
TOMFOOLERY
He would 100% be the one who give the children piggyback rides and would swing/spin them back and forth
Movie nights and cuddles are 100% a thing
Would literally do aegyo with the kid(s) to convince you to do things with them
Just aegyo mode in general especially when he is playing with them.
He gives me ‘ I’ll stay with you until you fall asleep vibes
Will literally buy a bunch of snacks “for the children” and then eat a bunch of them
Would and will play tag around your place at one point
Is pretty good with babies to an extent.
Doesn’t have patience for crying
But he will tire the baby out and feed them
100% a huge TICKLE MONSTER he would love to hold them and tickle them after they just played a game
Would buy a nightlight just for them
Overall I think Changbin would be really good with kids. I feel like he can be really sweet, playful, and childish on his own and it really helps him fit in well with them. The kids always like him because he is very active with them and he treats them well. He really likes them because he likes that the children match his chaotic energy.
Tumblr media
Hyunjin
A lot of STAYs say that they think Hyunjin’s dramatic ass WOULDNT have the patience to deal with children but I actually think he would be really good with them.
I feel he would match a child’s dramatic and goofy energy perfectly…a little too perfectly
Would join in any whining and begging your sibling/cousin(s) have(whether it’s about going out or wanting something specific)
“Pleaseeee babyyy we wannnt ittt”
He probably didn’t even know what they wanted he just wanted to be “cute”
Very much the type to paint with them or draw your sibling/cousin(s) and make them awestruck
Plays with them whether it’s board, mobile, or classic games because he likes to be active
He strikes me as the type of person to take random pictures of them with filters (like Minho)
Takes them to the park or on picnics
With babies I think he would play with them until they cried because he wouldn’t have that kind of patience. Or he would try his best to be cute and make them laugh by playing with them/picking them up and shushing them but if he doesn’t prevail he gives up and passes them to you.
Does not know how to hold a baby right…you had to teach him.
Overall Hyunjin would be very sweet and chaotic with your family. He wants to make you happy and he ends up becoming really fond of the children. He can be dramatic but that’s why they love him but they also love how he plays with them. He always has fun with the kids and it makes you swoon everytime.
Tumblr media
Jisung
WOULD LITERALLY START FIGHTS WITH THE KIDS 😭 FOR BEING “unfair”
Loves to play with the kids all the time. He always makes them smile on purpose. He definitely does impressions or he makes funny faces to get reactions out of them
His pride literally goes out the window there is baby talk everywhere his facial expressions show no limits and he do anything(even embarrass himself) to see kids smile
He helps you feed the little babies
You taught him how to change diapers and he’s proud to be able to change them by himself
He likes to put them to sleep. He finds it relaxing
Would literally be no help if one of them cried…(as we’ve seen) he will literally be so problematic and cry with them because he thinks he’s funny
He literally thinks they are so cute and looks at them with a huge smile on his face
Will dance randomly with them and play a lot of kids music
He strikes me as the type of guy to fall asleep with your Sibling/cousin(s) in his arms
I feel like in all honesty he would be very lovable in their eyes I also feel like they would love how sweet he is to them and he would be a favorite
Very much the type to give them forehead kisses/ shower their faces in kisses while he tickles them
Very much the type to sing kids to sleep
Will spend ours playing and just indulging them in whatever their heart desires.
Games of tag and hide and seek are a must with this man
Overall Jisung is another caring person who really likes kids. He tries his hardest to make them happy and really finds joy in comforting them. He really tries for you and it’s something he ended up really enjoying.
Tumblr media
Felix
A literal sweetheart he would get along with your family really well
I just feel like he would come off as too much to the youngest family members (like babies) but for the older family members(like 5-8) he would be more fun in their eyes
Definitely backs for and with them and they always get messy. He will buy things like frosting and sprinkles when he knows their coming so they can decorate their own sweets
He would cuddle a lot or let them lay on him while they nap
I feel like he would try a bit too hard for the kids to like him but it’s just because he cares and he gets excited.
He does engage in playing with them and can and would help feed them
He strikes me as someone who would even help with diapers on an occasion
If the children ever had nightmares I feel like Felix would get up and make sure they are alright and care for them (get them water/maybe a snack) and then tuck them back into bed
He loves babies and he will ask you to teach him how to hold one right or how to feed them and things like that
Definitely happened once when on of your Sibling/Cousin(s) had a bad nightmare and they came into your room. Felix had gotten them water and a little treat and put them in their guest room. They asked Felix to stay until they slept and he obliged happily. Now he subconsciously becomes a really light sleeper when he knows you are having kids over.
He’s honestly very supportive of having kids over and it makes him picture having some of his own one day
Overall Felix is a total darling with kids. He finds a lot of comfort in watching them and interacting with them because he often misses his own family. He likes baking and helping them decorate things because he thinks it’s adorable that your family wants to help with things like that. Your Sibling/Cousin(s) really like going over because they always know they can expect a sweet treat and a kind smile to go with it.
Tumblr media
Seungmin
To me I think seungmin would be ok with kids
He would just be kinda awkward since he never had got to experience having younger siblings
He would just stick to waving toys around and he would partake in an occasional peek a boo or party cake
I feel like he would be good at being with older children and he would play school with them. I just feel like with babies he doesn’t know how to Interact with them and with older kids they can at least understand him so it’ll be easier for him
He would play board games with them or small games because he really wants to try to make it fun for them or if he sees them playing with something he would slowly join them in an attempt to play with them.
He would literally suck up to them because he really really wants them to like him because he knows how important this is to you.
Buys them candy or sweet things to make them happy but will literally take them to the bathroom to brush their teeth after.
Weirdly enough he likes feeding babies. He doesn’t know why but he finds it oddly calming
When he does play with the children he can get a bit competitive but he has to remind himself he is the adult.
He would 100% ask you how to take care of kids or tips and pointers when he is unsure because he really likes kids he just is awkward with them.
Not good with babies
I just feel like the patience Is not there for him and he would give up and ask you for help
Overall Seungmin really tries to be good for you. He does but he is more of an introvert so letting go of himself is harder for him and it makes it difficult for him to interact with carefree children as a result. But when he has his moments of confidence he will play with your family to the best of his abilities because he wants you to know that even if he can’t make them howl with laughter he enjoys being with them.
Tumblr media
Jeongin
He is the maknae and he has a younger brother so I feel like he himself has this child like behavior so he knows how to entertain little ones because in a way he is one himself
Loves to impress kids EX: magic tricks, peek a boo, hide and seek
He is very interactive and he adores playing with the kids.
He freaks out a bit when they start crying so he’ll often run to you holding them asking you to “Fix them please” (he is so cute 😭)
Another One that loves feeding babies.
He likes being able to help you babysit and take care of the kids because it makes him feel responsible and it makes him feel like an adult.
I feel like he would be good at cradling babies to sleep and comforting them
He would 100% have a nightlight for your Sibling/Cousin(s) after hearing they are scared of the dark and would make sure they are absolutely ok before they go to sleep
I feel like he would get matching Pjs with some of your older cousins (ages 5-8)
He is good with babies: he can feed, change, and put them to sleep
Overall Jeongin really likes kids. He will go to lengths to make them smile simply because he finds them utterly adorable and he has no problems shedding his pride (even if he is a bit embarrassed when you’re watching) to let himself go and play with the kids. You always laugh at him but deep down you are happy to have someone like him to help you.
***
Authors Note: Hello! I just wanted to say thank you for making it this far this was something on my mind for a while. I had meant for it to be like five bullet points each but uh…I got carried away🤡. Sorry if it’s not entirely accurate I mostly based it on my own personal opinion as well as the video where they interact with children. But yes please feel free to give me constructive criticism or send me asks if you want more things like this!!!! Ok have a great day/night wherever you are<3

Fallen Angel : Tied to the Devil's Daughter (demon au Lee Donghyuk / Haechan ) ♛ CH2♛
Tumblr media
Seraphina was beyond livid.
She'd come to the dance studio to let off steam but it felt like the complete opposite. Putting on some music, she decided to let loose and see if dancing would at least loosen her temper a little bit.
Stretching to warm up, she slowly began to let her body flow with the rhythm, eventually flowing into the choreography she'd been practicing for the last week. Flawlessly, she completed every step, finishing with a grande jete and her final pose. Once the music stopped she collapsed to the floor, sweating but feeling more alive from the buzz of the dance. Prying herself from the floor, she heard distant clapping from the door way making her whip her head round fast to see who had interrupted her alone time.
Phina was definitely not impressed to see the boy she had glared at previously before for taking over her time slot.
"Wow princess didn't know you were quite the ballet dancer. I must say, doesn't really fit your temper like but you got some moves." His voice was almost teasing-like and this irritated Seraphina a lot. Getting annoyed by his presence, she scowled at him, waiting for his explanation as to why he was even there. Not getting an answer she took matters into her own hands.
"So you gonna tell me why the fuck you're here or am I gonna have to slap some sense in to you?"
He chuckled at her tone, she sounded pissed and it only amused him.
"Now now, sunshine, that's no way to speak to people is it?" He made sure to drag out the word sunshine just to piss her off even more.
"You call me that again and I'll snap your fucking neck!" She'd moved to grab her phone, getting angrier the more she was in his presence.
"Feisty one aren't you? Princess, as much as I'd love to break your neck too, don't think it would go down to well with the police now would it?" His condescending tone irritated her and she stormed out, barging past his tall ass to find her next class.
"By the way, I came to take over my time slot, not that I didn't mind you staring at me Sunshine," he shouted from behind her.
'Staring? Fucking idiot, he's obviously blind to not see I was trying to burn him with my eyes' she thought to herself as she slowed down once entering her classroom.
Tumblr media
Maths was Seraphina's most hated class. It wasn't because she wasn't good at it, if anything she was top of the class. However, she unfortunately had to share this class with the demons in the year above. Three of them being the dicktrio who thought they ran the school. Their dumbasses had dropped a grade and now she had to have this class with them. Not only that, her teacher was a demon too, favouring them more amongst the humans within the class, no matter how dumb they were. Phina often wondered to herself if there was many more teachers who were also demons, and they just kept to their human form?
Waiting for the teacher to come, she glanced around, trying to not make contact with the black orbs that almost laughed at her from across the room. The demons giggled to themselves, knowing how much humans hated eye contact with them, believing they would die from a single look. However this wasn't the case for Phina, she was introverted, and this was why she hated eye contact. She didn't give one shit if this girl was a demon, she just knew the moment they shared eye contact, she wouldn't hear the end of it.
"How's my favourite person!" Phina heard the angelic voice of her friend, before being engulfed by a pair of arms.
"Cheonie, you're strangling me!" Phina managed to choke out before her best friend finally sat in the seat next to her.
"Can I not be happy to see my best friend? Have you calmed down yet?"
Before Phina could reply, she heard the high pitch voice shout out from the other side of the room.
"Shut up Chansa, you might as well be an Angel you're that fucking annoying!"
Hurt flashed across her friends face and Seraphina saw red. How dare she insult her best friend.
"First of all her name is CHEONSA, get it right bitch! Maybe mind your own fucking god damn business before insulting my friend. At least she has a heart unlike you whores."
She glared straight into the black pits of hell, and everyone around them muted. All shocked that not only had she stuck up to the three dicktrio demons, but also because she actually looked them straight in the eye.
Shock was evident on the demons’ faces, but was gone as quick as it came.
"Did you just call us whores?"
"Yes and what the fuck are you going to do about it?"
"You're dead human bitch-"
Just as the girl was about the pounce at Phina, the door swung open to reveal both the teacher and the person she hated just as much as the dicktrio. Lee Haechan.
"What are you doing Seraphina! Get in your seat right this instant and don't utter a single word for the rest of class." Black orbs glowed from the door way at her, stopping the demon in her tracks.
Seraphina was beyond mad. Not only had she been humiliated by the teacher, but that the demons always got their own way. The smirk on their faces showing everyone who had the higher ground.
"Utter bullshit" she mumbled to herself, Cheonsa gave her a reassuring smile.
"Right class we have a new student joining us, Lee Haechan. Make him feel welcome and please, no funny business. Haechan please take a seat next to Seraphina."
Could Phina's day get any worse? Banging her head on her desk, she heard a low chuckle followed by, "You really are a badass aren't you Sunshine? Going against a demon you're definitely asking for a death wish."
Oh how she wished she was dead.
Tumblr media
The bell rang signally the end of the day, and nobody was more exciting to be leaving school that Seraphina. The ringing of the bell actually made her smile for the first time that day, as she skipped down the stairs to go meet her best friend outside.
Finding Cheonsa under the school's apple tree, they linked arms before heading off the their usual cafe down the road.
"Why don't you ask Mark if he wants to join us, you said he's been stressed out with exams recently he'll need a break." Cheonsa looked at her friend for an answer, watching as she frowned at the mention of her brother.
"I know, he really stresses himself out too much, mums had to put a lock on the fridge because he's been stress eating."
Mark was Seraphina's older brother, who never let her forget that he was the older ones. He was doing his finally exams to get himself into college, and the boy literally stressed himself out so much over it, he would lash out at anybody who distracted him.
"Do you think he'll be calm enough to even talk to me on the phone?"
Cheonsa hesitated,
"He should be done with them soon, he'd probably appreciate his sister inviting him out."
With that said, Phina brought the phone to her ear to call her brother, entering the all too familiar cafe.
"Yah what do you want I'm busy Phi!"
Phina closed her eyes at the loudness of his voice, knowing her brother would react this way she sighed.
"Never mind. I was going to ask if you'd like to come hang out with us at the cafe but if you're busy just leave it." She snapped at him down the phone, her temper getting the better of her.
"No wait!" the voice on the other side made her jump. He really needed to stop shouting.
"I'll come, I'm sorry for shouting I need a break these exams are driving me fucking insane." His voice was more softer this time, regretting the way he'd spoke to his sister. After all, she was just trying to be nice.
"I'll see you in 5."
Just as the phone line went dead, Cheonsa was walking over with two cups in her hand.
"You know me to well Cheonsie, a peppermint hot chocolate is always the way to my heart."
They both chuckled and sat in their usual spot, before Phia decided to fill her friend in on the new kid.
Tumblr media
"Honestly you should've seen him Cheonsa, he thought he was fucking amazing, interrupting my dance slot-"
"Hello to my favourite sibling!" Her brother practically screamed from across the cafe, interrupting her rant.
"Mark I'm your only sibling."
"I know that but still... anyway I brought Renjun because he was with me when you called." Renjun stuck his head out from behind Mark, waving at the two girls.
"Hey Rejun, how've you been?" Cheonsa beamed up at the blonde, eyes never leaving the male.
"I've been good thank you, just trying to finish my portfolio for art."
Phina almost gagged at the way her friend was making heart eyes at the man. She pulled Mark into the booth they were sat at, earning a glare from her friend at their chosen seating arrangement.
"I like your new hair Renjun, have you dyed it?" Cheonsa's attention was back onto the male, swooning at the way he blushed that she'd noticed his hair.
"Yeah I just fancied a change. Do you think it looks okay-"
He was about the finish his sentence when the sudden buzz of his phone interrupted him. Confused, he put the phone to his ear, quizzing the caller.
"What's wrong? Are they being bad again?- Well I don't know....I can ask wait a sec-"
"Hey Cheonsa is it okay if my friend joins us?"
His eyes were pleading at her to let his friend come, and Phina wondered why he would even be pleading when he knew fair well that Cheonsa would agree to anything he said.
"Of course, anything for you." Cheonsa giggled, causing Phina to fake gag, and earning a chuckle from her brother and death glare from her friend.
After getting off the phone, Renjun announced his friend was round the corner and would go and grab him a drink from the counter, asking if anybody else wanting one too.
As he neared the counter, her friend sighed, love evident on her face.
"He's just so charming isn't he?" She sighed again, looking towards the boy she had a huge crush on.
"Yeh he's alright I guess-"
"Oh hey Sunshine, didn't know I'd be seeing you here."
Phina's eyes nearly popped out their sockets at the high pitched voice she could recognise anywhere.
Why did her day just keep getting worse.

A HPHM character profile - Naomi Kinnley
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Naomi has been being developed for a good while now, and I know that my version of events will clash with that of others (over love interest, profession, interests, family etc) so I really hope that won't be a problem. It's taken a long time for me to post this because I'm extremely nervous but hopefully Naomi and I can fit into the community!
(This wonderful profile template is by @hogwartsmysterystory and made introducing Naomi so much easier than it could have been, so thank you!)
Also the artwork is by me. Still practicing humans.
Identity:
Name: Naomi Justine kinnley
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (in game currently, I guess her age technically changes with each scenario as necessary)
Date of Birth: 27th April 1973
Species: Human
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Sexuality: straight (or heterosexual, they both mean the same thing right?)
Ethnicity: English, Welsh, French
Nationality: English
Residence: The Kinnley Household, #.17 Turley Avenue, Norwich, Norfolk, England
MBPT: ISFP - the adventurer
The Mage:
1st wand: cedar, dragon heartstring core, slightly springy, 11 ½ inches
“...‘you will never fool the cedar carrier,’ and I agree: the cedar wand finds its perfect home where there is perspicacity and perception. I would go further than my father, however, in saying that I have never yet met the owner of a cedar wand whom I would care to cross, especially if harm is done to those of whom they are fond. The witch or wizard who is well-matched with cedar carries the potential to be a frightening adversary, which often comes as a shock to those who have thoughtlessly challenged them”
“As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner.”
2nd wand: willow, phoenix feather core, reasonably supple, 12 ¼ inch
“Willow is an uncommon wand wood with healing power, and I have noted that the ideal owner for a willow wand often has some (usually unwarranted) insecurity, however well they may try and hide it. While many confident customers insist on trying a willow wand (attracted by their handsome appearance and well-founded reputation for enabling advanced, non-verbal magic) my willow wands have consistently selected those of greatest potential, rather than those who feel they have little to learn...”
“This is the rarest core type. Phoenix feathers are capable of the greatest range of magic, though they may take longer than either unicorn or dragon cores to reveal this. They show the most initiative, sometimes acting of their own accord, a quality that many witches and wizards dislike.”
Animagus: N/A
Misc magical abilities: Apparition and Disapparition
Boggart form: missing a chance to save somebody special to her (usually Rowan, her brother or Murphy) because she was preoccupied with something novel and insignificant. Knowing she should have and could have been there and would have been able to help - but wasn’t. (Shows up as herself with her back to the incident, not noticing when her loved one calls out for help)
Riddikulus form: in being preoccupied with said novel activity, she misses her loved one(s) not being murdered, but instead making silly faces 0r acting clownish behind her back, a bit like in a pantomime.
Amortentia (their smell): home baked bread, a wildflower field, crisp new parchment, baled hay, plums from her grandparents’ orchard and vanilla.
Amortentia (what they smell): mown grass, cinnamon, old books, home baked cookies, polished leather, lavender laundry detergent and the sea.
Patronus: leopardess
Strong
Graceful
Quiet
Independent
Protective
Patronus memory: sitting at the attic window with her brother early on christmas morning as a child, drinking hot chocolate with those tiny muggle marshmallows and munching on their mother’s cookies that they weren't supposed to have until the afternoon. Talking and playing wizards chess, exploding snap and their dad's old Muggle board games, watching the sunrise and being together.
Mirror of erised:
during hogwarts - reliving her patronus memory every christmas as tradition goes. Still having Jacob shake her awake at ridiculous o’clock and take her upstairs to the window where he’d set up their blanket instead of waking up of her own accord and sitting alone until the sunrise.
As an adult - hosting dinner at the house she shares with her husband and children for all her close friends and family. All of them. Those who are gone would be there too for a night of good food and good company where the children would run around playing and Naomi would get a warm feeling of belonging in her heart.
specialized/favourite spell:
Pretego - she never wants anyone she loves to come to harm, especially after rowans passing.
Expecto Patronum - beautiful, peaceful and protective. Useful and stunning all at the same time. A thing of comfort and joy.
Avis - she’s calmed around animals and birds. Just for fun.
Ferula & episkey - similar to protego, to help those who come to harm and keep them from pain as much as possible.
Lumos - simple and useful. It was one of the first things she learnt at Hogwarts and feels nostalgic.
Appearance:
Faceclaim: Willa Holland (just imagine she has freckles.)
Tumblr media
Game appearance:
Tumblr media
Height: 5’6” (170.7cm)
Weight: 151lbs (68.5kg)
Physique: Slim
Eye colour: hazel, quite green in places
Hair colour: dark brown, looks ginger in the sun, loosely curly
Skin tone: medium, somewhere in between olive and pale.
Body modifications: she has one piercing in each earlobe that she got aged 10. She mainly just wears studs.
Scarring: nothing major, she has a few little scars from mundane accidents like cutting her knee on a rock but that's about it.
Inventory: wand, quill, ink, chapstick, hair ties, a hairbrush, prefect badge, scrap parchment, glasses, glasses case, half finished bag of sherbet lemons, unopened packet of every flavour beans and a leather notebook with unlimited pages for notes on everything
Fashion: Naomi likes to pair denim bottoms (jeans or shorts or sometimes a skirt if she's in the mood) with a t-shirt - she likes the ones with different coloured sleeves and also ones with words on the front. She'll also wear denim jackets and leggings and knitted sweaters and sometimes summer dresses and skirts. She mostly likes comfortable stuff. If it feels good on her body and she's comfortable in it she'll wear it.

Background / history:
Pre-Hogwarts:
Naomi was born at 7:13am on the 27th of April 1973 (a week late) as the third and youngest child to Eleanor and Anthony Kinnley.
Her childhood is happy. She gets along with both parents and both siblings (though she and Cindy clash more than her and Jacob) and has a pretty normal home life - save for the magic part.
Jacob began attending Hogwarts when Naomi was only 3 years old, And Cynthia when she was 6, making for a good amount of quiet time which Naomi was very fond of.
As soon as Naomi was able to read and write fluently - about aged 6 - she would exchange letters with both her siblings. She and Jacob wrote to each other more often, as they were the closest of the siblings.
She attended a Muggle primary school like her siblings, though only ever made a couple of friends and wasn't too upset to lose contact with them when she left for hogwarts.
Though the first wizarding war was taking place throughout her childhood, Naomi's family had never been a large target or very involved in the war effort - her parents had decided to put safety above all else, therefore neglecting to join the order of the phoenix and keeping themselves to themselves as much as possible.
Naomi was 8, nearing 9, when Jacob went missing in 1981. Old enough to understand and make her own judgements of the situation. She was immediately distraught though found it hard to accept that her beloved big brother would just leave her and spent over a year writing to him to find out where he had gone, without a single reply. In the end, just before she left for Hogwarts, Naomi decided that she'd do whatever it took to find her brother, her stubbornness taking over.
In Hogwarts:
Of course, the events of Hogwarts mystery happen during this time, though other points include the following
After being sorted into Ravenclaw house, Naomi quickly becomes very close friends with Rowan Khanna. After their initial meeting in Diagon alley, Naomi feels comfortable enough to talk freely with the girl and by the time Christmas rolls around she can firmly say that Rowan is her best friend.
Naomi is obviously a competent and talented student in many areas. A lot of teachers take a shine to her as she's focused and a hard worker. Therefore, she's often asked to perform demonstrations and to assist other students.
In her second year, Naomi became the newest chaser on the Ravenclaw quidditch team. To this day, she is grateful to Penny for pushing her to try out because quidditch helped her become the person she is today and introduced her to some of her closest friends and, of course, her now-husband.
Naomi spends a lot of time at the quidditch pitch, In the quidditch stands, in the three broomsticks, by the black lake and, after accidentally stumbling upon it in her 6th year with Tonks, Tulip and Charlie, the room of requirement. After Christmas of 5th year, Naomi also spends a good amount of time in the kitchens, practicing her new hobby of baking.
She and her dorm-mates often stock up on sweets from honeydukes and chose a night to stay up talking and eating until the morning. At some point, they started inviting other girl friends into the dorm for the night (starting after tonks unsuccessfully tried to sneak in behind tulip.)
Post Hogwarts:
Having been unsure about what her career would be all throughout school, Naomi decided to join Tonks in the auror training programme. She deduces that this job would be a good fit for her, and ends up really enjoying it.
Murphy proposes to her 3 years after the initial start of their relationship
They're married not long after, with Penny as Maid of Honour and Orion as best man. Naomi had both her father and brother give her away.
She and Murphy end up living near his mother in a previously abandoned house just outside his home town. It's pretty secluded so they can practice magic without worrying.
By 1995, Naomi and Murphy had had their first two children - Marigold and Cathleen - just as the second wizarding war was beginning.
The second wizarding war:
Both Naomi and Murphy join the order of the phoenix, her auror training coming in handy and him being focused on strategies (what else?). She has many missions, including surveillance and combat.
In joining the order of the phoenix, Naomi gets a chance to meet the golden trio. Harry, Ron and Hermione immediately seem more than capable, and Naomi makes sure she takes the time to let them know she's willing to help them out however she can.
In early 1998, Naomi falls pregnant for a third time, though decides that she won't tell anyone until she has to, trying not to add stress to the already scary times.
During the battle of Hogwarts, Naomi had very close encounters with Bellatrix LeStrange and Augustus Rookwood - both of whom came rather close to finishing her off. Fortunately, her auror training, dueling club experience and protect-don't-harm nature came through, and she managed to stun both death eaters before they took her life.
Naomi was there to witness Tonks' death. That moment was haunting and still shows up in her nightmares from time to time. She was also in the vicinity when Fred Weasley was killed.
Throughout the entire war, Naomi did not use an unforgivable curse once - something she's proud of as she often wanted to murder those death eaters who took her friends.
Post second wizarding war:
Murphy and Naomi both Survive the war, and Naomi took a break from work after the war to recover from the trauma and focus on herself and her family.
When she finally goes back to work, she is able to get to know Harry Potter and Ron Weasley a lot better and they end up becoming good family friends (along with the rest of the weasley family.)
She remains an Auror until the age of 46 (become head auror during this time) before resigning and taking over from her mother in law at the bakery. It's a very much welcomed change of pace (although Naomi is always willing to lend a hand on the odd auror mission at the request of Harry.)
Naomi often invites a large gathering of friends and family over for celebrations - notable occasions include New year's, her children's birthdays and the anniversary of both Rowan's death and the battle of Hogwarts. There's always a lot of food (usually prepared with the help of Cathy and Molly Weasley) and good times.
Home life is wonderful, She and Murphy have a very happy marriage and spend their lives together with their children, and then later their grandchildren.
Personality:
Protective - Naomi is very keen on the defensive way of doing things. She doesn't like to cause harm to anybody unless she can't see any alternative way out of a situation. Along with this, although she is usually pretty quiet and reserved, Naomi will never stand by whilst somebody (especially a friend) is struggling or in trouble. It's one of the few circumstances where Naomi will actually put herself into the action voluntarily.
Creative - Naomi is good at thinking on the spot. She can come up with solutions to a problem when all other possible solutions fall through by thinking outside the box.
Loyal - Naomi hasn't always found it easy to make friends, she's shy and gets very nervous talking to new people, but once she's made friends with somebody Naomi is always going to be there. She's always willing to take on their problems and help in whatever way she can, and makes sure that her friends know how grateful she is to have them and that she's always there when they need her.
Empathetic - Naomi is very good at understanding the feelings of others and knowing exactly what to say to make people calm down and feel better. She can put herself in people's shoes and also acts as the peacekeeper in many arguments as she can .
Easily Stressed - Naomi is an overthinker, she starts to panic when things start to go wrong and gets very stressed. The smallest thing can make her frustrated or worried, and though she can usually hide these feelings in the day, they always come out at night or at any time if they're strong enough. She finds it very hard to let go and let bad things happen.
Stubborn - Naomi isn't likely to back down from many things without a fight. She doesn't like to be wrong, accept too much help or admit she's made a mistake, just as she hates to lose an argument. She always makes sure to be as calm and polite as possible if she has different feelings, but sometimes she can't help but raise her voice.
Naomi is also pretty patient, indecisive, quiet, a good listener, generous and naturally intelligent among other things.
Miscellaneous:
As a baby, Naomi has thick, long, curly hair and was rather chubby, though by the time she reached 7, her curls loosened and her baby fat was no longer a problem. She still had very long hair though.
She goes by Mia to her friends, and Nomi, love and Mia to Murphy. She's also the only person other than his mother who's allowed to call Murphy by his first name or Murph, and also calls him darling, McNully and button (the nickname button has a backstory that I may or may not disclose at some point. She only calls him that when she's teasing him though.)
She was very nearly a hatstall between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff - and she ended up dictating the final decision. Naomi knows she would have been fine in either house now, but at the time, Ravenclaw seemed like the only option because Rowan had just been sorted into it, and it had been the house of her brother.
Although Naomi has glasses, she can usually see just fine without them, and doesn't bother wearing them outside of class.
She's a fiddler a doodler and a nail biter. All happen when she's nervous and/or bored. She'll work her nails down as much as she can and will pick up and play around with just about anything. She's also very prone to drawing and writinh all over her wrists - lists, memos, ideas, harmless pictures of golden snitches and nifflers and Murphy.
Naomi can both ride and drive horses and enjoys it rather a lot. She learnt on her Muggle grandparents' farm where she spent most of her summer holidays as a child and Hogwarts student.
Naomi and Murphy's mother Cathleen, or Cathy, are very good friends. They get along incredibly well and Naomi now comes to Cathy more than her own mother for advice. They spend a lot of time discussing Murphy and other things - often baking in the meantime (Cathy introduced her to baking and Naomi even ends up taking over her bakery business.)
Naomi was one of the few people allowed to attend Tonks and Remus' Wedding, and likes to keep in touch with Teddy Lupin after his parents death (relatively easy as he's good friends with her son Anthony and her Daughter Eleanor.)
She can't decide if her favourite colour is Yellow or blue. They've been her top two since forever but she's never been quite sure which is better.

Azula Week Day 3: Friendship
Summary: Old lady Azula invites Old lady Katara over for tea, and the former speaks her mind. @azulaweek
It was strange, being old.  Azula had thought of herself as “late middle age” for as long as she possibly could, but now that she was seventy, there could be no more putting off the inevitable. The process of aging was readily apparent externally, of course.  Whenever she looked in the mirror, she saw her nearly-white hair, the wrinkles that marred her once flawless complexion, and the prominent veins and arthritic joints in her hands.  What she felt on the inside, however, was more complicated.  In many ways, she still felt fourteen, just with fifty-six years’ experience.
One by one, the companions of her youth had met their own destinies.  Mai had been dead for nearly ten years now, felled by an assassin’s blade while walking in the garden.  Although Azula had not been there to witness it personally, the rumor was that the Fire Lady’s last words had been, “Well, that’s ironic.”  Ty Lee, on the other hand, was very much alive. After her groundbreaking work in trauma therapy, many books and papers published, and countless accolades, she had moved to Ember Island for her retirement.
Many of her half-siblings had had distinguished careers as well.  Ruanyu had been living in Republic City for decades, and for a time had served as the Fire Nation’s representative in the United Republic Council. Chun, true to Azula’s initial insticts, was the incumbent Minister of Education.  Kiyi, however, preferred a more private life with her six children and numerous grandchildren.
Life at the palace was quite staid these days.  Zuko, in his widowerhood, liked his books and meditation and tea.  He had even mentioned that he might abdicate at some point in the future.  Azula had difficulty finding things to keep herself occupied, since her body could no longer endure the hours of grueling firebending practice that had filled her days in her youth. Sometimes, things got so boring that Talent Night was the highlight of her week.
So when Azula heard that her old nemesis Katara was going to visit the Caldera to attend a seminar on healing firebending, she invited her to tea.  That was what old ladies did, after all, even if they didn’t particularly like each other.  Currently, they were sitting in the tea room decked out in all the proper regalia, appraising each other as servants whisked the tea and laid out the sweets.
Once everyone else had slipped out of the room, Azula leaned forward in her chair (since there was no way their old bones would tolerate kneeling on a tatami mat for extended periods of time), and said, “So.  How are things?”
“Quiet,” Katara replied.  “I moved back South to be with my daughter after Aang died.  It’s harder to find things to do now that he’s gone.  I’m still practicing as a midwife and healer, though; that helps fill my days.  And we have neighbors, cute young couple, who hire me to babysit their little girl sometimes. It’s strange, because I could swear…”
She broke off abruptly.  Azula waited for a few seconds before prompting, “Yes?”
“It’s…it’s nothing. Just a weird feeling,” Katara said before taking a sip of her own tea.  Age-related memory hiccup, perhaps?  Azula had plenty of experience with those.  Or something else..?  At any rate, it was clear that Katara would say no more on this subject.
“My days are similarly quiet,” Azula ultimately offered.  “My husband has become quite the distinguished elder diplomat.  Kazuo looks to follow in his footsteps. His wife is Botan; she’s from a lesser noble family.  And they have three daughters: Emi is almost six, Taeko is three, and the baby is Zula.  My namesake.” She smirked.
“I don’t have any grandchildren yet myself,” Katara admitted.  “There have been…obstacles.  But I’m still hopeful.”
They managed to sustain a discussion of harmless topics such as these for much longer than Azula had thought possible.  All the while, Azula observed this woman who she hadn’t seen in decades.  The waterbender appeared happy enough with this chat; nevertheless, there did seem something...off about her.
Finally, as they were getting around to concluding their get-together, Azula decided to speak up.
“You’ve changed,” she declared as she popped the last daifuku into her mouth.
Katara seemed perplexed.  “Haven’t we all?”
Azula was quiet for a few moments, pondering how to phrase her next words while making sure to chew thoroughly so as not to choke on the sticky rice.
“You seem defeated,” she eventually stated.  “You’re not the proud, passionate girl who…who bested me in combat all those years ago.  Nor even the woman who held her own against me in a different sort of way while I was in labor.  It seems as if…you have no idea how to function now that your husband had died.”
“I loved him!” Katara protested.  So the girl she had been hadn’t been completely erased after all.
Azula waved a hand and replied, “I’m sure you did.  And I’m sure that he reciprocated.  But just because you love someone, doesn’t mean that you can’t maintain an identity of your own.  Now that I’m thinking about it, I saw warning signs of this as far back as the search for my mother.  Almost everything you said was ‘Aang this,” or ‘Sweetie that.’  And the times the Avatar came visiting, he brought only his youngest son, never the older two.  You let your husband play favorites with the children when you’ve seen first-hand what that can do?  You were powerful, you were independent, and you threw it all away.”
Katara was dumbstruck for several seconds.  Nevertheless, she was able to regather her wits and retort, “Wow, I didn’t know that you cared so much about my wellbeing, Azula.”
“Yes!  Keep that up!” Azula exclaimed, the edge of her flowing sleeve coming dangerously close to knocking her teacup off the table. “Don’t let anyone make you feel small…not even me!  You are not only Katara-the-wife, or Katara-the-mother.  You are Katara!” After this, she had to pause to catch her breath.
“I’ve always been the mothering type,” Katara pointed out.  “Just ask Toph.”
“But that’s not all you were.”
“I suppose…I…Well, I want to just say you’re wrong, but it’s not…not entirely, at least.  There were times where I felt—” She shook her head. “I can’t quite put it into words yet. Where did you learn how to do all that anyway?”
“One of the perks of having a best friend who’s arguably the most famous psychologist on the planet,” Azula said airily.  “And she would have told you the same thing.  Probably would have been nicer about it, though.”
“At least you gave me something to think about.  So…thank you?” Katara ventured as she rose from her chair.  Azula rang for a servant to escort her out.
“Perhaps we should do this again someday,” she stated. “That was the most excitement I’ve had since that mongoose lizard got loose in the palace last year.”  Upon seeing Katara’s confused expression, she added, “I guess you had to be there.”
“Right.  Well…I think I’d like that.  Doing this again, I mean.”  At that moment, the servant arrived, and Katara left.  And now everything was boring again.
