Some drawings I made of the run that got my friend to floor 20 for pebble mastery. We were originally doing an odd/even distractor set and we got scraps and goobs on an even floor, i distracted them best I could but I was the one with the clown horn and ultimately died a little over halfway to 20. The others managed to get to 20 without me but id like to think my sacrifice helped. ANYWAYS VERY PROUD OF THEM

i think what is super cute in modern fandom expression that I've seen is that in terms of making OCs or AUs is that sound seems to have a bigger role now than from what I remember when I was young. which I'm thinking has a lot to do with being able to clip audio easily or being able to make multi-track playlists whenever. y'all out here with reels of your art with voice claims and some of the most thoughtfully and artfully crafted soundtracks-- not even playlists, some of that shit is a straight up soundtrack level be real

89% tempted to try one of those shady "free" video/audio editing programs to make a LoFi chill beats study girl visualizer playlist with my iteration's boys ...

so real quick, my iteration is literally just them chilling, hanging out, being together in their mid 30s- early 40s, and then sometimes flashing back to their child/teen years in the 90s because tl;dr i have miiiiiinor beef my childhood turtles weren't quite as "90s" as they "could have been" (nvm I'm cackling at the milennial pop culture refs in Mutant Mayhem drop kicking me back into my adolescence)

but mehehehehe, keeping that they listened to Public Enemy and The Jungle Brothers

and aside from Top 40 musicians of the time... I feel like being outsiders themselves, having to sneak around to explore and learn about people and what's above the sewers had them eavesdropping into a lot of nighttime venues and getting into the underground and various niche subculture scenes that daytime Top 40 didn't play.

cannot tell me the lights, thumping and noise from bands playing hardcore or house or hosting cyphers or raves didn't attract these curious and funky little green dudes like moths to a flame

... Leo definitely fell in deep with the gregorian chant phase, soothing sounds of nature fads , a big fan of Orbital and he fell into that electronic, house, trance, eurodance rabbit hole right after. he also got into Celtic folk music but when his brothers caught his ass studying Michael Flatley to incorporate Riverdance footwork into his ninjutsu he got teased so mercilessly that he took great care to hide listening to it... which just made his stealth better so joke's on them heehoo

Not to mention they're from New York City, the underground music scene is always bangin' no matter the decade; feel like rap and punk got a lot of tracks on their mix tapes back in the day

Raph getting into the metal scene in his own exploring the city trips, and then progressed to music with that boom bap sound (cuz baby boy needs a way to come down off those high intensity moods idk ijs)

Donnie... just the amalgamation of his brothers, he needs that background noise while he's chewing on schematics and protoype development, he would definitely have been the mixtape maker/recording bootlegger (along with Mikey)

Mikey absolutely tagged along with his brothers sometimes whenever they went to their spots for music, though he himself backflipped into ska 'cuz Mikey is always for the people

I worked on the first map for my current low-fantasy TTRPG campaign as a sort of in-universe copy of an old map of the Empire. The second came when I had the idea of merging that world with one I'd used previously for a Souls-inspired dark-fantasy campaign.

The Empire of Anyria was the nation that sent its navy southwards, in order to find and colonise new land for a new world, Nouever. It thus became retroactively known as Senever, the old world.

Though few years into the colonial efforts, a massive rift was opened in the ocean, physically separating Senever and Nouever. Disconnected from the Empire, the Noueverian colonies began evolving and developing in their own unique ways, mainly by the loss of knowledge of high-magics (as those stayed behind in Senever) and by adopting far more rural lifestyles, barring specific urbanised nations.

While Nouever adapted and grew... Senever stagnated. The Empire faced several crises, the harshest of which dealt with the disappearance of Imos the Immortal, ruler of Anyria for several centuries. Political turmoil led to the Empire's eventual fall, with several nations rising into prominence after a bloody civil war.

And following that, as the Old World began to stabilise, came the apocalypse. The sun turned black during the First Eclipse, and a gateway to Abyss was formed. From it sprang a legion of demons that scoured Senever and destroyed the land, forcing humanity to retreat underground. As the years passed, the lands began coalescing, being pulled into the ever-expanding pit at the centre of the once proud empire.

And this doomed land, they called Halicassia.

now, i KNOW people are sooo horny for prince sidon. and i *guess* i get it? but my standout interactions with him were

him repeatedly interrupting me as i'm sneaking & battling desperately upstream through the rain towards zora's domain, to remind me that he's there, watching, not helping me, being unceasingly chipper

him giving me inadequate instructions to prepare for the attack on vah ruta, leading to me having no idea what the deal with the giant ice cubes is or how to handle them, resulting in me immediately getting hit by said cubes. at which point he contemptuously shouted "GET A GRIP, LINK" at me.

My story of the week is how I went outside to touch grass, bc I felt let down by not being able to watch Sam Claflin's new film bc it's not showing anywhere in UK, so much so that I considered ending my fan-ship, only to be, while outside touching grass, faced with a street sign that said Dimples Lane. (It's in Haworth, West Yorkshire, if anyone wants to check it out on a map.) As @jesstasticvoyage privately told me, I just cannot escape him. Maybe not just a humble street sign, but a sign from the universe?

But anyway.

Ken, Phayu & Hin and Chayeon & Sai arrive at a flower garden. This is where Lue's map led them to. But instead of Lue they meet... Maengpong.

You know what, I don't even have a picture of Maengpong. He's one of Phayu's men in black. If I tell you he's Safe's boyfriend you won't know, either. It's complicated, ok (I really need to get on to that relationship/actor chart). Just know that Maengpong is one of the (many, many) boyfriends. He's the same age as Ken and Phayu. I think he's from the south and/or beach, and he knows how to fight. His name means 'scorpion'.

Anyway, Maengpong doesn't even seem surprised. He's holding another cloth bag that Lue gave him not 15 minutes ago (and during the flashback he seemed really unsurprised and calm about it all. He even called Lue "Ai Lue"). As for what he's doing in a flower garden/in Uttaradit in general? Apparently he's here for holiday snaps.

Inside the bag there's another map and a puzzle piece. There's also another message: ชีวิตก็เช่นกัน - which translates to "Life's also like this." So basically "That's life", I guess.

Lue, why are you doing this? Seek therapy. Consult a monk. Touch some trees. Stop this.

Ken is understandably upset, but he now wants to meet Lue more than ever (to punch him in the face, right? Right?). Everyone's sympathising. Hin is still hungry. Phayu is still annoyed with him.
