I noticed a bit of tunnel vision when dipping my toes in that pond and that’s another reason I backed away from tgcf—but the foundation of svsss fandom was made for tossing characters on a roulette wheel and going from there. Mdzs is similar as well and seems pretty open minded towards non canonical ships (at least in the little corners I inhabit. except hardcore Wangxian shippers scare me—I know there’s a fair amount of nice ones out there and I love you, but unfortunately the scary ones usually get the limelight). But this is why I like the svsss/mdzs communities—it’s like making a massive puzzle with multiple people and you’re comparing puzzle pieces with each other and sometimes they fit and sometimes they don’t. But you’re all working towards making the puzzle whole and that’s what makes the whole process fun

I'm highkey disgusted at the hate sent towards people who ship different things in TGCF. Let those people live their lives and love their ships. I have seen cute and beautiful artwork for ships like Huayin, fenglian, mulian, and other ships and I see so much hate. Sure, Hua Cheng waited 800 years for Xie Lian, but these people aren't spreading hate. To send death threats and mean comments to people who ship HUAYIN specifically is disgusting.

If you have hated on these ships or people enjoying these ships please dni w me. You can not like a ship but what happened to fandom culture? Smh y'all would not survive SVSSS shipping.

There is one artist I enjoy specifically who gets so much hate for their Huayin and they really don't deserve it because from what I have seen they seem like a kind person and the hate is unnecessary. I will scroll on tiktok and see people being like "Huayin makes no sense and I can't stand people who ship any of the main ship with other people" and in the comments it's like "this is about that one huayin artist isn't it"

SHUT THE FUCK UP HOLY SHIT. do not hate on people for enjoying a ship that is LEGAL and can make sense. Huayin can be cute and I enjoy the fanart a lot, and I am saying this as one of the biggest Quanyin and hualian lovers.

Rarepairs also hold a special place in my heart. If you can like rarepairs in other fandoms you can ignore ones you don't like in TGCF.

I am not trying to pick a fight and am not trying to say i am a proshipper. Proshipping IS disgusting and I do not support it but will not stand on hate for people shipping LEGAL AND UNRELATED CHARACTERS.

"MXTX doesn't want people to ship-" IT WILL INEVITABLY BE SHIPPED THIS IS FANDOM WE'RE TALKING ABOUT AND THIS IS ALSO PEOPLE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT. Would you stop shipping Quanyin, Fengqing, or anything else if she said she didn't like it? Or in other fandoms authors don't want people to ship VERY POPULAR ships but those are very often ignored. Mxtx cannot control her fanbase and as an author understands that stuff will inevitably be shipped in different ways. Like I said: SVSSS. Nobody gets mad at them for shipping Liu Qingge and Shen Yuan, do they? They move past it, TGCF fandom should learn from them.

This does not get addressed enough in this fandom and it really just makes me sad seeing all the hate :/. Especially on nice people. Sorry for the more serious post than usual but it makes me super upset seeing the disgusting things thrown at artists.

Since I'm back in my teen wolf obsession after the movie I'm just gonna say it. The vitriolic hatred for both Scott McCall and Tyler Posey was just fucking racism. There was literally no reason to hate them so much and every excuse I've seen people have for hating Scott is that he didn't center himself around Stiles (his white friend) more.

Scott McCall's only flaw was that he loved his friends too much and he was too trusting and forgiving of people.

I'm all for ship and let ship but Tyler is right about Sterek being weird. Stiles was a minor and Derek was at least 20-23 and as a former Sterek shipper who has seen the light. I don't blame Tyler. Y'all got hella annoying with that ship.

My favorite fandom worlds are imploding on their own people, and it’s fucking ridiculous.

1) Lockwood and Co.

I hate to point this out, but I’m gonna anyway. There is no Locklyle WRITTEN ship in the books. There is an implied ship. The author confirmed that it was intentionally implied. But it wasn’t written. So you know what? There is NO canon ship.

You know what that means? People can ship whomever the fuck they want without “breaking canon”. If you write Locklyle, fine. But that makes you no better than people who are enjoying other ships. And even then, it’s a fandom. It’s imaginary shit. The way to keep the fandom alive and thrive is to NOT PUBLICALLY CASTIGATE AND PUT DOWN other shippers and their ideas, works, or conversations. If you do that, it’s YOU who is poisoning the fandom.

2) Stray Kids

Holy fuck, people! Can’t we all just be adults?

a) Do not attack people who interact with our boys in a professional capacity. It’s not helpful to the group to give them a reputation for having an out of control fanbase. It could cause their opportunities become limited just because others are scared that Stay may get offended by something.

b) If you don’t want to support the new song, don’t. Don’t buy it. Don’t stream it. Don’t get it off of a secondary site just because you can listen without supporting the collaboration.

DO keep your choices to yourself. Your choices are not supposed to apply to other Stay. We can make our own decisions. Other Stay are not lesser, wrong, unethical, Zionists, pro-genecide or any other thing you want to call them. They are simply supporting SKZ their own chosen way.

In closing, this is simple. Do what you want for yourself. Stop thinking your decision has any bearing on other people. Your ego is showing. You aren’t that fucking special. Check yourself.

what's going on with ghoulcy? I haven't started the show yet and seeing some stuff going on without context

My problem with the ship is the insane power dynamic they have and a huge maturity gap between them. Coop turned into a ghoul in his 40s-50s and Lucy is in her early 20s, and to Coop she comes off as having a child-like personality. He almost drowns her, he physically harms her, and sold her to organ collectors. He calls her "sweetheart" because he sees her like he does a child and looks down on her.

Not to mention, I find it a little strange that people ship them (two white characters) together, despite them both having canon black love interests. I just want to know why people would rather ship Lucy with a MUUUUCH older and abusive white man instead of shipping her with her Canon black love interest that treats her nicely and is around the same age as her. It's common for white fans in fandom spaces to view black love interests as undesirable or uninteresting, so they ship them with white characters instead.

People try to claim that I don't like the ship because it's a ghoul and a human, when that's. Literally not the case. It's based on maturity level/mental age. I myself have a ship of mean ghoul with human vault Dweller (Seoktae and Set), but the difference is that they're both at the same mental maturity level.

I just personally find the ghoulcy ship disgusting.

Have you ever wondered that if ever Zutara becomes canon, the whole ATLA fandom wil break? Maybe even the internet? Just think about it. We Zutarians never gave up on our ship even after series ended. Imagine it being trending and a hot topic on all over social media...

Oh, I predict a lot of twisted panties. A lot of antis weeping and gnashing their teeth insisting that Zutara isn't canon really because the new show didn't have Bryke on board. Instead of just being happy that now both Zutara and Kataang get to be canon in different universes, they'll probably harass the showrunners, writers and actors because they never had any home training. I just hope Zutara shippers are mentally preparing themselves to find it funny, because I think at that point, laughing at them is going to be the only defense against the frothing hoards.
