You knelt before him, eyes wide waiting for your instructions. He sat comfortably in the chair, a dark smirk on his lips while he lazily drew circles with his finger on the chair’s armrest. You were at Edward’s beck and call, and did he know it. 

“You look so good, Herr.” You tell him barely above a whisper. You gingerly run your hands up his legs, testing the water of what you were and weren’t allowed to do. He just continued to smile at you, enjoying your attentive touch. “May I get started now?” You ask.

“You may.” 

You had all of your tools next to you already, you even had them in order to show him how dedicated you were to the task. With a slow nod, you grabbed the brush, wrapping your hand around his heel to set his foot upon the small stood you had.

His boots were filthy, a testimony to his time in France as well as the nightmare you faced with the zombies. Clothing wise, all he had were the clothes on his back, and the boots on his feet. They were terribly worn, the soles degraded from the hundreds of kilometers he’s walked and ran. Caked with mud and blood, you were going to give them some much needed love.

You started with the rubber soles, using a pick to dig the mud out of the treads. They easily crumbled and fell on the stool. Going through each crevice of the tread was tedious, but you needed to do the best job, you weren’t going to settle on even a speck of mud on his precious boots. 

You picked up your second tool: the horsehair brush; it was perfect for the job. You used it to gently brush the remaining dried mud off the sole, working your way to the midsole. Edward chuckled as he saw the sheer concentration on your face.

“You are doing a very gut job, fraulein.” He purred, which sent shivers down your spine. “You always serve me well.” 

“I try to, sir,” 

You brushed them well, getting the clumps off to move to the next step. You took your rag and pre mixed soapy water and with small circles, began washing the stains off. Edward had many blood splatters on them, and that simply couldn’t do. 

“You have such beautiful boots,” you praised as you washed them. “Thank you for letting me clean them”

“Bitte, meine Slav.” 

Once the suds seeped into the stubborn mud and stripped it, you went in with a clean rag, removing it completely. The boot looked amazing, and you weren’t even done.

“Fraulein, I do not believe you are as devoted to this as you say.” Edward said in a low voice. The tone sent shivers down your spine, you knew he was serious. Your hand with the rag faltered as you heard this, you looked up at his with wide, worried eyes.

“I am, Herr. I crave this.” You tell him, worry obvious in your voice. 

Richtofen raised an eyebrow at you, not trusting your words. “Prove it then. Prove how devoted you are to your servitude.” He narrowed his eyes, it was not a question, it was a demand. 

You kissed the toe of his boot, not breaking eye contact once. You did it over and over, kissing to the midsole then to the leather. You caressed the leather that covered his ankle and shins as you left wet kisses all over the boot. He chuckled, pleased with your devotion. 

“Lick the leather, pet.”

You didn’t hesitate, following your master’s every request. You trailed your tongue along the welt where the seam was. You could hear Richtofen groan praises of your work, of your complete devotion. He enjoyed how you would do whatever he said. He felt powerful, so powerful.

“You’re a filthy little whore, you know that? Licking und kissing your meister’s boots.” He laughed, he leaned down and grabbed your chin, looking you in the eye “You’re mein favourite little plaything, you know that?” 

You blushed at his words, nodding as a small smile found your lips. “Dankeschön, Herr. I want to make you proud.” 

Edward let go of your chin and leaned back in his chair, placing the foot you were working on down, replacing it with the other. “Finish me up und I’ll let you know if you have made me proud, Kätzchen.”

You did the same steps as the first boot. Pick, brush, soapy water. You made sure to pay just as much attention to this one as you did the other. When the water ran clear and the boots looked clean, you brought your head down to a bow, kissing it as well. 

“Danke,” you whispered against the leather. “Dankeschön.” 

Satisfied with your work, Edward dropped that foot to stand. He was about halfway up when you grabbed two handfuls of his thighs, forcing him back down. His eyebrow cocked from how you touched him, how you used force to make him sit again. There was a fire in his eyes as he waited to hear what you obviously had to say. If it wasn’t a good enough reason, you would surely be punished.

“I have a surprise for you, Meister Richtofen.”

You reached behind your back, a small smile gracing your face as you basked in the anticipation. You loved the feeling of being on the verge of punishment. You knew Edward had it on his mind, and you toyed with the commanding aura he possessed from it. You held what you had in your hands in front of him.

It was a small container of leather conditioner. You practically buzzed with excitement as you saw a warm smile find his lips, very pleased with your item. 

“Where did you find this, kätze?” His content tone soothed your soul like a balm. You loved when you pleased him.

“In one of the abandoned desks here, seems like someone in 935 really cared about their shoes.” You laughed, twisting open the cap to show him there was a decent amount still in there.

You took a dime sized glob on a clean cloth and delicately rubbed it into the leather. You knew this stuff was going to make them look damn near brand new. Once the entire boot’s leather was coated in a thin layer of the conditioner, you did the same to the other, leaving both of them to sit for 15 minutes.

Richtofen’s comfort and enjoyment was your top priority as you waited. You massaged his thighs and kissed them, next grabbing his hand to kiss his knuckles. He stayed silent but you could feel his heart racing, see his breathing become labored. He was loving this, you were doing a great job. You cooed your praises, giving his inner thigh a quick kiss once the 15 minutes were up. 

“Last step, sir. I promise.”

You took the last rag you had and began buffing the boots. You looked into his eyes as you ran the cloth back and forth, buffing the boots until they shined. And shine they did. 

You were right, they looked brand new, not only that, the look that Edward gave you confirmed what you believed.

“You have truly made me proud, Hausterin.” Edward stood once more, this time without barrier. He looked down in awe, seeing how the leather gleamed, he didn’t realize how rich the colour still was. A mischievous grin found his lips as he lifted one foot, placing it on your shoulder. He stepped with enough pressure to cause mild pain. 

“Mh… I’m here to please, Herr.” You grit through the erotic pain. You wanted him to step on you, to hurt you with the boots you just cleaned. 

He laughed, stepping down and around you. “Clean this up. I expect you to be waiting in mein lab for me when you are done.” 

“Jawohl.” You quickly began gathering your supplies and cleaning the mess up.

You were his obedient little slave right now, and you were to make sure you did a damn good job… a good job for your meister.

i love a good ritual. today, i take my favorite pair of black boots into my hands. my father gifted them to me, somewhat reluctantly, for my 25th birthday. (has it really been that long?)

he later told me he wasn’t convinced that they were something i would truly utilize, concerned that they would end up in the back of the closet, accumulating a layer of dust. but he obliged.

they are my favorite pair of shoes. i wear them several times a week, every day some weeks. they have carried me across the thresholds of three different apartments i have called home. they accompany me any time i fly. they keep me warm and dry when the winter chill bites at my skin, piercing through my clothes, but not the leather of my boots. 

today, i take them into my hands. i have a damp rag, once a light pink hand towel but now bleached closer to white with muddy stains that stay no matter how many times it’s washed. 

today is cleaning day. tomorrow i will oil them.

today, i cradle them in my hands, one at a time as i pass the damp cloth over their surface. i wipe away dirt that has accumulated, not from lack of use, but from tramping along day after day. as i wet the leather, i notice spots that are shiny, scattered across the top of the right boot. beer someone spilled, not that i remember where or when. i just remember telling someone it was okay and trying to pat them off with a paper towel. gently, i rub in circles until the traces of alcohol un-stick themselves from my boots. 

i am gratified as i work. they have served me well. i complete the ritual to show i am grateful, to keep them appeased and prolong their life.

i run the cloth over the seams, the stitching, to try to loosen any grime that has settled there. i pull the towel taut over the tip of my pointer finger, running my nail along the trough between the base of the leather and the midsole of the shoe. they are always dirtiest there. closest to the ground, hidden away, unable to be brushed off by grass, or by my cat rubbing up against them. it is my task. 

i trace around the crown of the sole, shifting the cloth as i work and it dirties. as i continue and the cloth no longer accumulates grime, i stop and hold the boot into the sunbeam i sit in. i examine it, especially the toe and the heel, to look for anything i missed. i am satisfied. 

i rise and take the rag to the bathroom, wetting the other half of it with warm water and wringing it out. i return, and seat myself with the other boot. i cradle it in my hands, and work until it is clean. 

now, i wait. the boots must dry before i can oil them. that is a task for tomorrow. for today, they sit on carpet and rest in the sun, clean, while i depart to run errands in a pair of vans instead.

hey, i’m thinking about getting blundstones for work/woods traipsing. i know i want a waterproof pair, but is there anything else i should look for/do you have a specific type of blundstone you might recommend?

Hmm. Im not sure I can be super helpful, I dont have any Blundstones, theyre not really my aesthetic or the kind of construction im into personally but from what I hear they are super comfortable and i know people who love them a lot!

Personally i love a brown boot so my advice is always buy brown unless you wear a lot of black pants. I like the look of the tobacco suede color or the saddle brown, but again i am admittedly biased (for some reason I feel like chelsea boots especially look good in rusty colors, i dont know why!)

they do look super comfy though. i just watched a video of one cut in half and the outsole is like an inch and a half of foam under your foot so yeah. whichever you buy is probably gonna be very comfortable! looks like theyre all made with "water resistant" leather, which either means there's something tanned into it to make it extra water resistant or maybe they just finish them with a leather protector of some kind. leather is never really "water proof" just by nature of being a porous natural material but these boots should keep your feet dry unless youre going out of your way to get them wet.

basically if youre looking for a comfy boot that's easy to slip on and off you can't really go wrong with a blundstone from what i can tell.

sorry im not more helpful im just like the opposite boot demographic, im all about a heavy leather insole and midsole that make you suffer to break them in lol.

i also have never owned a chelsea boot in my life! what kind of boot guy am i even???

(if i WERE going to buy a chelsea though i would probably get the thursday cavalier in the dark brown suede (if they ever release this boot in a more rusty looking suede i will 100% buy it tbh). very different aesthetic than a blundstone, and the leather sole is obviously not really suitable for stomping around in the woods. but for my use case i uh mostly stomp around breweries. so.)
