I had to look up the schönbrunn 2022 recording to grab one of those screenshots in my previous post and truly the only redeemng quality of schatten in that garbage fire is lukas' big sad eyes and everpresent ">:[". without him we're lost,,,,,

#i've seen a brief clip of moritz mausser in 2023 and he's NICE and sings nicely but he's not GIVING ANYTHING #so many of the previous rudolves ate. like rent was due so they went for it. gay4pay and sad4pay #ajshdhgjgjjdfjdjfgj (some of them are actual real life gay but theres also many examples of ppl playing it well regardless of irl sexuality #like even where blocking isnt necessarily requiring it some ppl went crazy (well one specific person) (2011 tour)#i think the current production design dictated by the vbw just is 'no gay people or gnc onstage otherwise smth might awaken in the audience #like even the productions that stray from leather mark are quite mild in how they stray if at all (ie brussels; czechia; hungary)#i'm not going to be happy with any production of the show until we bring back the queer energy. like general audiences better not feel #comfortable watching schatten 2 i want tod and rudolf to be absolute freaks about it
