LearningToDive's "Trust In Me": Atmospheric Soundscape and Empowering Unity As the world accelerates toward an increasingly digitized era, rapidly grasping for connection in the chaos, LearningToDive presents us with a cinematic journey in the form of their latest single, "Trust In Me." The song, crafted by producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist Bravo Bonez, is a dramatic, dark yet optimistic track with a trip-hop angle that creeps under the skin and leaves a haunting resonance long after the final note. https://open.spotify.com/track/1CAmAPQwX9IHyhRnRXNpC1?si=0beb041e6d1a4563 Upon first listen, "Trust In Me" will undoubtedly pique the interest of fans across the musical spectrum - from dark wave devotees to alt-rock aficionados. The track masterfully weds the pulsating energy of Eighties synthpop with contemporary production techniques, breathing new life into a predominantly electronic-influenced sound. At its core, however, the song serves a more profound purpose: offering solidarity and solace to those enduring the silent battles against psychological torment and the manipulative tactics of gaslighting. LearningToDive's vocal delivery is nothing short of a revelation, exuding quality that conveys both vulnerability and a subliminal strength. The layered harmonies and lush melodies weave throughout the track, evoking a stirring sense of yearning and hope. Lines such as "put your trust in me, I will believe you now" sweep the listener into a world of catharsis, reminding us of the importance of compassion and empathy in the ongoing pursuit of reclaiming one's reality from a gaslighter's grasp. In a nutshell, "Trust In Me" offers a message of solace and companionship to victims of gaslighting, that there is someone out there who believes in their struggle and stands ready to offer support. Amelie Blake: Redefining Empowerment with “Rules Are Made to Be Broken” Instrumentally, the song harks back to the atmospheric stylings of iconic bands like Depeche Mode, while still remaining unequivocally fresh and original. The driving trip-hop beat serves as the perfect scaffold for the rich tapestry of synths, guitars, and vocal textures, adding a sense of dark urgency to the musical ether. It is this all-encompassing soundscape that speaks to the listener, transporting them to a universe wherein struggle meets empowerment, and unity illuminates the shadows of isolation. The emotional landscape of "Trust In Me" transcends the confines of a standard single, providing a compelling glimpse into LearningToDive's upcoming EP. As Bravo Bonez navigates the depths of the human experience through his distinct musical prowess, we as an audience can't help but be captivated by the profound empathy that permeates his work. "Trust In Me" brilliantly combines meaningful lyrics, expert production, and genuine emotion to convey a powerful message of hope and healing, making the listener crave more from this gifted artist. Learningtodive - ‘Tainted’ Single
A love letter to the dazzlingly inventive 1980’s musical scene, LearningToDive’s debut album, Norwegian Pop, is packed with the very best of the sounds of the 1980s genres of post-punk, synth-pop, New Wave and the New Romantic movement. One of a series of projects from musician, producer, vocalist and composer, Bravo Bonez, it explores personal, political and societal ideas, addressing themes of hope, betrayal, danger and age, whilst retaining a musical edge which crosses the decades to sound as vibrant and vital as ever.
LearningToDive is the new artistic identity of Bravo Bonez, a New Zealand-based composer, producer, vocalist and musician. Stylistically different from his previous musical output, LTD focuses on the more serious aspects of Bravo’s life and his perceptions of the world experienced through 1980s musical templates. The last few years has seen Bravo Bonez seriously question some of the assumptions he has made about his place in the world and his responsibilities as a husband, father and denizen of this fragile blue planet. Each of his new tracks explores a different theme using 1980’s musical templates, emphasising texture, depth and harmony. Bravo has many contemporary influences, but for this album specifically he cites 80’s artists such as Roxy Music, the Psychedelic Furs, Echo & The Bunnymen and Iva Davies(Icehouse). There are some more recent artists that have influenced the album… examples being Boards of Canada, Radiohead and The Impending Adorations.
Born in the UK, Bonez has spent the last 15 years between the cities of London and Wellington (New Zealand). Now permanently settled in the capital of NZ due to Covid-19, Bravo spends his time reconnecting with his musical passion through a variety of musical projects, as well as helping to develop and encourage local musicians through owning and running his own music studio called PureSound Studios NZ.
The release of High & Dryon the 20thof November was LearningToDive’s first release under this musical identity. His debut album will be ready for release on the 2nd of April 2021. LTD has now released 4 singles under this identity (High & Dry, Falling Leaves, Rainbow Falland Tainted), with his monthly listeners consistently sitting around 3200 per month.

Dance Vision App Review
Dance Vision App Review
I’ve been learning to dance for a few months now and with my busy work schedule. It gets hard to drive 45 minutes to go to a dance class. Something that has made my learning to dance so much easier is the Dance Vision app. It contains so many tutorial and body exercise videos to help you better yourself as a dancer. The app follows the DVIDA syllabi which many dance instructors use in their…

Love Letter to the Soul: Lili Joy's Gentle Release, "She" In a sea of high-energy and bustling tunes, Lili Joy's "She" surfaces as a soothing oasis for weary listeners. The 20-year-old LA singer-songwriter skillfully fuses soft rock and alt-pop, offering a soothing retreat from daily life. With her debut album titled "She" set to arrive in July, Lili invites us to dive into the calming depths of her music through this heartwarming single, showcasing her undeniable talent and promising a bright future. https://open.spotify.com/track/17Ed2ieBvRZku5FFINPlre As one presses play, the atmosphere transforms into a haven of easy listening enveloped with graceful female vocals, providing the ultimate relaxation experience. With her soothing tones and pitch-perfect delivery, Lili Joy creates an ambiance that beckons comparisons to the likes of Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles, making her an artist to watch. Exuding a sense of sincerity and relatability, the lyrics in "She" unravel a deeply personal narrative. As Lili Joy puts it herself, the song serves as "a love letter to my past, present, and future self. Showing empathy for my past self, giving thanks for my present existence, and holding hope for the future." From the beautifully crafted melody to the emotionally charged lyrics, "She" digs into the heartstrings of its listeners. LearningToDive’s “Trust In Me”: Atmospheric Soundscape and Empowering Unity What distinguishes this song is its sincerity and vulnerability. By openly discussing her experiences as a young artist and her journey into adulthood, Lili Joy promotes the powerful message of self-love and self-discovery. The feeling that permeates this track is unmistakable – it holds something incredibly personal yet simultaneously universal. Blending elements of alt rock-pop and soft rock, the instrumentation deserves praise in and of itself. The delicate acoustic guitar strums and tender piano chords are masterfully combined, forging a sound that compliments her sublime vocals. The subtle yet well-balanced production further enhances this enchanting track, with just the right amount of polish to ensure the authentic essence of Lili Joy’s music remains unobscured. Eagerly anticipating the full "She" album release, it's safe to say Lili Joy has a bright future ahead. If she continues to deliver heartfelt tunes, amalgamating profound lyrics, and stirring vocals, there's little doubt that she'll find a special place among her contemporaries. "She" isn't just for Lili Joy devotees but for anyone seeking a retreat from the cacophony of life or in need of a mellow, relaxing soundtrack for the soul. At the beginning of my journey with mental health
Tumblr media
I lived with my mental illness for years before it was diagnosed, it felt like I was crazy. I had no idea what was going on with my mind or body. I thought I was crazy, but I wasn't. I’m not. I am just me and thats okay. It felt like I had no control over anything and after years of dealing with these mental illnesses I have learned a lot. Having these mental illnesses isn't dangerous, not knowing is. To be 100% honest, I am grateful for all that it has taught me. I am stronger because of it. I have also learned that it is okay to not be okay.
Theres a lot that people don't know about anxiety, depression and all of the little things in between. There are hundreds of thousands of research articles, papers, and studies done on anxiety, depression, bio-polar disorder, schizophrenia, etc... but because it effects everybody differently (though a lot of the time the main symptoms are the same for everybody) nobody will ever truly be able to understand what its like to live with it. For me personally, thats a terrifying thought, nobody truly understands what goes on inside your head. It’s an incredibly lonely thought.
When I first started experiencing anxiety, I had no idea what it was. I was scared out of my mind. I was to scared to talk to anyone about it because I didn't understand the feelings myself, let alone understand them enough to tell someone else about them. I thought I was crazy and that if I told anyone else about what I was feeling they would think I was crazy too. Everybody says that anxiety is the feeling of panic that overwhelms your entire body, but thats the thing, anxiety is not always as it seems. It’s not always uncontrollable sobbing, shaking and hyperventilating. I didn’t know that. So, I obviously had no idea what was going on, because I thought that anxiety was all of the things above. I experienced it differently. My entire body would be frozen with fear, I would be stuck in one spot, I’d be zoned out of the world completely. Other times it would be the complete opposite, some days I would go completely OCD where I would clean the entire house until it smelt like a hospital or I would do thing repeatedly because I couldn't get it right. Having not understood what was going on with my mind and body was terrifying because I had absolutely no control over what was happening, it was controlling me.
Thats just the anxiety part, the depression was equally as terrifying. It caused major insomnia or the complete opposite. There were days where I wouldn't sleep or days where thats all I could do. When the depression got bad so did everything else, I couldn't clean, cook, work or anything else. That just made it so much worse, I felt ashamed of everything, I couldn't have people over because of the condition of the house, or the fact I knew my parents would comment on the fact that I either lost weight or gained it. Thats what depression does to a person. It will kick you to your knees, and If you let it, it will be the hardest thing a person can go through.
This all started around grade nine, I didn't know what to do or why this was happening. I spent most of my high school career feeling these things that I didn't understand, and to be completely honest, I still don't understand these feelings completely but I'll get into that in another post.

LearningToDive - ‘Promenade (feat Bravo Bonez)
Ambient pop classic in the making, LearningToDive return with a brand new video for ‘Promenade’, Norwegian pop single beautifully crafted by Bravo Bonez with a wealth of additional musicians including out very own Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers)  who know resides at Pro Sound Studios NZ.
Taking its cue from the heady days of 80s New Wave and Art Pop, LearningToDive’s new single, Promenade is packed with dreamy synths and strings and focuses on LTD’s serious thoughts on society, the planet and life. Quite distinct from his usual upbeat, retro, lo-fi focused tones, Promenade explores alternative themes using darker more complex layers, blending genres of post-punk, 80’s-pop and new-wave. A return to the craft of creating songs which are as richly orchestral and emotional as they are technologically advanced and synthetic, this is final single release before their forthcoming debut album and is accompanied by a stunning video shot in Hyde Park and Kensington Palace Gardens   “Promenade tells the story of two people who live in London and work close to Hyde Park. They often see each other from afar while walking in the park and naturally feel drawn to each other. They start going on their lunch time walks together and eventually see each other more regularly, only to find the relationship is doomed.
Promenade explores the age-old problem of two people that love each other but cannot be together. Although in unsatisfied relationships, our protagonists cannot lie to their partners and their guilt weighs on their relationship, causing it to fall apart. The song is a sad reflection on the truth, that as humans we can love more than one person at once, but in most relationships, you can really only be with one and choices have to be made”.  A love letter to the dazzlingly inventive 1980’s musical scene, LearningToDive’s debut album, Norwegian Pop, is packed with the very best of the sounds of the 1980s genres of post-punk, synth-pop, New Wave and the New Romantic movement. Find A Song about two people that love each other but cannot be together
LearningToDive - Promenade
Promenade tells the story of two imaginary people who live in London and work close to Hyde Park. They often see each other from afar while walking in the park and naturally feel drawn to each other. They start going on their lunch time walks together, and eventually see each other more regularly. But the relationship is doomed. Promenade explores the age-old problem of two people that love each other but cannot be together. Although in unsatisfied relationships, our protagonists cannot lie to their partners and their guilt weighs on their relationship, causing it to fall apart.. Even though they have chosen to be apart, deep down they still love each other. The song is a sad reflection on the truth, that as humans we can love more than one person at once, but in most relationships, you can really only be with one. And choices have to be made.
