Soooo your post really inspired me and I made a thing. I think this reprise would fit between defying gravity and thank goodness: after Elphie escapes the Emerald City, she can finally stop to ponder everything that happened that crazy day and what led up to it. Hope you like it!
(BTW op's tags were: #and don't get me started on how actually elphie gets basically everything she wished for in that song through glinda #at the oz dust when finally no one thinks she's strange #standing hand in hand in the emerald city)
"Galinda and I"
Did that really just happen?
Have I actually understood?
That odd girl I loathed, who once was a foe
Is now a friend who gave me what I deserved
Helped me make good
So I'll make good
When I met Galinda
She showed me my worth
Once I met Galinda
Changed some views I've held since, since birth
She may not seem to have much wisdom
But by my looks she came un-blinded
Did you think my best friend is dumb?
Or like Munchkins so small-minded? No!
We learned to see the me that I truly am
A girl on whom Oz can rely
And my new life began
Galinda and I
When we were at the Ozdust
My whole life was changed
Cause we danced at the Ozdust
And no one called us strange
Though friends may be quick to leave me
Though I may be abhorred
And the Wizard he decived me
But by Galinda, I'm adored
And these gifts and these powers I have inside
Finally at last I know why
We'll save Oz hand in hand
Galinda and I
I know that you said to me "Elphie dear,
a girl who is so superior,
People don't care about what's inside;
Only see the exterior"
You may be right, though I disagree,
So you stayed back while I flew out free
I hope it's all right by you
I promise we'll make it through
Of course I know that you're you while I'm me
I know that you will get by
Still, think what we could be:
Galinda and I
Yes think what we could be:
Galinda and-
Unlimited...
(And of course I would switch over into the defying gravity refrain of Unlimited here because why try to improve perfection?)
Anyways, it's late in my time zone and I'm going to bed. If anyone wants to add on with more lyrics for the end of "Galinda and I" feel free
thinking about how the best case scenario that elphaba can imagine in the wizard and i is that finally someone will come along who will be able to change everything about her. even in her wildest dreams, she views that as her best option.
and then.
along comes galinda. who - after spending an entire night attempting to give her a makeover - settles on: ‘actually, you’re perfect just the way you are. i wouldn’t change a thing. except maybe to tuck a little piece of myself in with you, just there.’
and i just think that’s neat.

new year, new me… ㅤㅤ𖤓 · What will 2025 bring you? ㅤㅤ· 𖤓
merry christmas everybody 🤍🎄 sorry for the delay, I hope you enjoy this last reading of the year, and as always thank u for your support… it would be a pleasure for me if you let me know if the reading resonated with you so do not hesitate to send me a message, comment or reblog, it will make me immensely happy
- choose the one with which you feel most connected -
Pile 1… 2… 3…
ㅤㅤ
𖤓 Pile 1
cards: five of pentacles, six of wands, five of wands, nine of pentacles, five of coups
Independence is a great word for this year that is beginning. You are going to start facing the world on your own, so you must act with certainty. It is a year of a lot of personal growth in relation to how you want to present yourself to the world, what you offer.
“Adult life is no longer a game.” You may be a very, very young person or you may not have had the opportunity to do things on your own, but if you really want the things you want, it is important that you take action.
It is a year in which your soul is going to take very different paths in relation to the past and all of them will be good if you know how to choose them and know how to handle them. For some reason it is as if you are embarking on the path of being a CEO/ a type of boss (?)
Getting out of your comfort zone, recognizing your potential and having security and confidence will lead you to success. Use your mind but also your heart, do not let greed or ego guide you. You may want this to help your family's finances, but you are also doing it for yourself. You deserve to get everything you want and the universe is helping you get it in 2025. Be patient and don't despair. Everything comes at the best time.
Things that may resonate with you or are significant:
Happy than ever - Billie Eilish, This will be - Natalie Cole, “we don't play around”, Let me - Zayn, Whatever - Oasis, “Im freeee”, applause, decisions, “all action is reaction”, being latinx or latin descent, depend on others financially, Cuba or Miami, 565, 6, 3, 333, “I used to pray for what I have today”, Simple - Kali Uchis, Jenny from the block - Jennifer Lopez, emigrate-migrate, vision board
Thank you for your time and energy, dear pile 1 ♡
𖤓 Pile 2
cards: eight of pentacles, knight of swords, the moon, knight of cups, the dead
2025 brings you a lot of internal learning. Your guides want to communicate with you. Dive into the spiritual sea of your soul and life purpose. Dare to see what has been hidden for a long time.
You will know and recognize yourself from a deeper perception, you may need to connect with your past lives, understand where certain repetitive patterns come from, your soul needs to be healed and there is no one else who can do it but yourself.
If for a long time you have wanted to buy crystals, tarot cards, learn more about astrology, meditate... 2025 is the perfect year to carry all that out.
Do not set expectations, enter that path with a blank mind. "Reborn." You will become the most authentic version of yourself when you manage to recognize the spirituality in which you live. Do journaling, automatic writing, guided meditations... etc. And remember that healing the soul is also about eating well, surrounding yourself with people who have positive intentions, not being hard on yourself and just taking life easy.
This process will also change your style, you will want to dress differently, your observation of yourself will change completely and everything will be for your highest good. Your spiritual guides can't wait for you to take that big step... "do it, do it baby"
Things that may resonate with you or are significant:
Frailty - Violent vira, 18, 8, “save yourself”, third eye chakra, role models, Very special - Chris brown, Nobody - mitski, Conquest of Paradise- Vangelis, watch things on the laptop at 3 am, Chachachá - Josean Log, Blueprint - Tyler Jane, blue light
Thank you for your time and energy, dear pile 2 ♡
𖤓 Pile 3
cards: the chariot, the magician, knight of cups, eight of wands, the moon
“Just take it easy, baby, enjoy it”. Literally just have fun, 2025 is a year where you shouldn't think about things so much, “don't overthink it”. Act like a child, enjoy the moment, don't worry about what might happen. But just because you let yourself be guided by the universe doesn't mean you have to leave your inner voice behind, use your intuition, have faith and trust but act consciously.
DANCE, connect with your inner child. Don't care what people might say, it's your life and you decide how to live it. Dare to challenge the rules you've been forced to follow. Connect more with music, it may be a way for you to heal or simply relax.
Be your best friend, no one will know you as well as you know yourself. Take care of yourself in all aspects, physically, energetically and above all emotionally and mentally. Transform nostalgia into healing potential.
Just as you act when no one is watching, act the same way when everyone is watching; 2025 will be a year of great satisfaction for you, the universe embraces you and pats you on the shoulder so that you take the next step.
Things that may resonate with you or are significant:
BTBT - B.I, 222, False starts - Zayn, “trust me, you’re not gonna crash”, butterfly, Felling good - Nina Simone, wings, Alma mia - Natalia lafurcade, cherry, strawberry, makeup for children, 2000s, Deceptacon - Le Tigre, blue shirt with white stripes, party decoration, dancing in the kitchen, rock, music from your childhood or what your dad listened to, Rock you like a hurricane - Scorpions, As it was - Harry Styles, “be a diva”, You & Me - Jennie, Opera House - Cigarettes after sex, Modern Love - David Bowie, The breakfast club
Thank you for your time and energy, dear pile 3 ♡

Ooh - you know what I'm also seeing?
A hint of orange in those eyes.
If these colors do represent the Players who'll go on to create this frog, then I'm taking this as evidence that Davesprite will be getting recognized as a full Player, too. Skaia knows he deserves it.
?GG: it hopped over to me and i picked it up ?GG: but then, just like that…
?GG: it died
Poor thing.
I imagine that Paradox Space didn't want anyone looking too closely at this frog. Whatever secrets lie in its genes, learning them this early would create a hell of a doomed timeline.
No self-respecting First Guardian would suffer such a wrong note. Bec’s just doing his job.
With all this uranium lying around, Jade’s really lucky she lives in a setting which features magical healing.
?GG: later my grandpa made a robot for me to help me with my sleep walking ?GG: it could do all the walking while i stayed safe in bed!
Grandpa's putting his inherited Crocker brand to use, I see.
I'd have expected him to remove his mother’s name from the company, considering how badly she treated her adoptive children – but I guess the loss of brand recognition was too high a cost to pay. Our man’s a capitalist at heart.

you all loved my choso fic, so here's catboy/half-cat!choso (who'll ill refer to as just catboy) as a late christmas gift <3
sfw/nsfw:; RATED-R, masterbation, overstimulation, sub!choso, praise kink—etc.
(✷sfw≈
Catboy!choso, who is obsessed with how your soft hands touch him. He loves your touch, his ears twitching—purring loudly as you scratch in-between his ears, the pad of your thumb caressing the line over his nose, his eyes dilated close when your hand comes lower to the bottom of his chin, stroking the skin softly, he leans in, licking the side of your hand affectionately as his shifty eyes stare at you—satisfied.
Catboy!choso who's a little flirtatious here and there—his tail curling around you slightly whenever you two pass by, or how his eyes intentionally shift to show that he needed some pets—ended up giving you a sultry glare that you called him out on, he squirms—his knuckles and cheeks burn up a pink hue, blush dusting over them clearly.
catboy!choso, who doesn't want to be a burden and helps as much as he could when he sees you working or doing a chore—his polite smiles and slightly capable hands move over to finish sweeping the floor for you—or how he tries to tell you that he could help doing your work—oh well, he's learning.
catboy!choso, when needy, and clingy (and perhaps showing signs that he's in heat), climbs on your lap and whines out: "want pets. Please." ears down and his head pressing against the side of your chest, trying to indulge much of you as he can before you finally give in and give him the scratches he deserves.
nsfw under the cut >☆`
nsfw≈⊰⊹ฺ
catboy!choso, during his heat, lying on the soft and comfy sheets with you—shows signs of his clear situation, humping your side needly as he let out a string of whines, cheeks now red-hot while his face is scrunched, cock throbbing hard with need to breed you and stuff your cunt full of his cum—dripping out of your sweet pussy. His cat tail wraps around your leg letting out a couple of thrusts, trying to mimic the motion of thrusting into you, he just can't help it, you're so irresistible.
catboy!choso who's scared he'll get lectured when he hears you wake up, arms still hugging your waist as he slows down his pace, instead lightly grinding against your ass—an alarm goes off, an alarm you set for the right timing of when choso's in his heat. Poor little boy, you'll definitely punish him when he grinds on you without your permission.
Catboy!choso—who, to his surprise, you actually don't scold him, being used to his heat and the multiple times hes filled you with his seed, you didn't mind his needy behavior of wanting to breed you.
Catboy!choso, he begs—"please, please— let me breed you...p- please, baby.."
he whines, you groggily sit up in the plush bed, your pussy secretly throbbing in excitement—you tell him to sit up as well—Catboy!choso who is obedient, follows your orders, sitting up beside you as he pulls down his loose pajamas, revealing his pulsating cock, painfully needs relief—the tip angry, turning red. He whines again—"I- Im sorry- I- I just couldn't help myself-" he apologizes erratically, his hands playing with his fingers as he looked down—embaressed.
after a few call backs on telling him it's nothing to be ashamed of and its normal—getting him by saying you didn't mind and liked taking care of his 'problem', a few minutes go by and you're on your back, shirt pulled up not enough to take it off you but to reveal your soft breasts, bouncing at his every thrust as a sweaty, naked Catboy!choso, desperately shoving his large cock inside your tight hole, trying to feel all of you as his eyes threatened to drop a tear from the overwhelming pleasure.
he whimpers—"a -am I doing g-good? p- please tell me I- I'm doing good baby I-" he grunts as your squishy cunt clenches tight around veiny cock, swallowing his dick even deeper just enough so his tip overworking hard pushing out all its pre-cum hitting the cervix of your pussy, god he could cry right now from how good your cunt feels, Catboy!choso swears that your cunt is so tight that he can almost taste it.
he cums instantly when you praise him—"you're doing soooo good cho.." with that soft cock-drunk smile on your face—his creamy white seed filling every crevice of your plush, pink-pussy walls, painting your insides white as he actually lets out a stream of tears at the intense orgasm, trying to urgently catch more as he tries to shove, stuff you with more of him by fucking his cum inside you deeper, letting out blabbered confessions out his mouth that he didn't even mean to say out to you—words that would leave him shy and bashful, his eyes widened further when he felt your cum bursting all over his cock, your soft controlled moans right in his ear, the feeling too much as he cums another load into you, cock vigorously overstimulated.
≈{˘time skipミ☆
"t- thank you..thank you.. thank you.." he whispers softly, cheeks slightly tinted as he hugs your tired form from all the breeding you both had done last night, kissing the side of your neck as he tries to come even closer to you. "B- baby.."
"I think my heat's not o- over yet-"

This was pretty much my exact same thought process a week before I made this post. I do get where you're coming from, but here's a question: when does the episode explicitly condemn Danny for cheating? Does TUE actually say “cheaters deserve to watch their family die”?
Furthermore, consider this line from the end of the episode:
Remembering this line was my turning point. Clockwork is a very wise character (he was literally just established to be omniscient right before saying this), and he’s the one teaching Danny the lesson TUE wants him to learn. If the lesson is supposed to be ‘cheating is bad’, wouldn't that be completely undone by having Clockwork immediately turn around and, by his own admission, and in those exact words, “cheat”? It’s a very prominent line with a lot of attention called to it, too.
“Cheating is bad” is the kind of moral you’d expect this kind of kids cartoon to make, so I think a lot of us preemptively filled in that blank without truly listening to what the episode was actually saying. I get it, I watched my sister struggle through the public education system while getting practically no help or sympathy from it, and I'm sure a lot of viewers were in the same boat as her. Academic pressure can be a sensitive subject, especially if it looks like a character is being chastised for struggling, but that's not what’s happening here. We jumped the gun. The text doesn’t look down on Danny for wanting to cheat. He’s in a difficult position, and being forced further and further into a corner is a feature of the story, not a bug. Danny's situation feels unfair so that the audience understands why he wants to cheat:
"OK! I get it! You're brilliant, I'm stupid, and I'll never be able to get as high a score as you."
"Guys, come on. I'd love to have spent the last month studying, but I was fighting ghosts! Besides, if you two think this test is so meaningless, why do you even care if I cheat? Why shouldn't I open this up and study the answers, huh?"
TUE’s stance isn’t that “cheating is evil”, it’s “cheating isn’t worth the risk”. Despite what Danny’s been led to (erroneously) believe, he’ll have other chances and opportunities if he does badly on a test, even one this big. There are people in his corner looking out for him (Mr. Lancer gives him to come forward even when he knows Danny stole the answers, and literally offers him a make-up test. Clockwork messes with the timeline just to tell Danny that he’s a good kid who deserves more than one chance), but getting caught cheating really could screw up his future. You could still say that’s an anti-cheating message, but the writers do show more sympathy for Danny than people give them credit for.
I don't think the concepts are that abstract. Everything that happens in the present is presented directly, and the main idea you need to get out of the future stuff (bad stuff happened because Danny got caught cheating) is pretty simple and clear. Everyone I've heard talk about the episode seems to get the basic idea.
As for all these events caused by Clockwork… yeah that's 100% true. But given that Clockwork is all-knowing, the master of time, and clearly sympathetic to Danny, it can only be assumed he’s doing what he can to help Danny. Omniscient/psychic characters are kind of weird like that. They make the stories they’re in a bit messy, and you can't really judge their actions by typical standards (ie. Garnet from Steven Universe). Same with time travel, but I won't go into much into detail, because this post is long enough and discussing rules around time travel can get overly technical, but the gist of it is Clockwork is on Danny’s side, but he’s working under some very specific restraints, either from The Observants or from the natural laws of the timestream.
Danny isn’t being taught that cheating makes him bad, he’s being taught not to place such unhealthy (and unrealistic) importance on his academic performance. Sure, this lesson isn’t explicitly stated in exact words, much like the themes in Teacher of the Year, but I don’t think it’s fair to say that the writers were just trying to condemn Danny in either intent or execution.
And as was the original point of this post, the episode really speaks for itself:
"Maybe that's all anybody needs…a second chance."
"I guess the future isn't as set in stone as you think it is."
"And here we are with you, a fourteen-year-old child, risking everything to save the people you care about. You've given everyone else a second chance. Why not you?"
Me for years: I can't believe The Ultimate Enemy is telling kids they deserve something as horrible as watching your entire family die for cheating on a test!
the Ultimate Enemy:
#and I mean if we're talking about past episodes#dp has been quite critical of the education system in other instances#the most prominent example being the cramTastic machine's in Fanning the Flames#If you happen to have that essay on hand it would be real swell if you could share the link#I have some thoughts about how this fandom (and tumblr at large) uses christianity as a critical talking point#but that's for another post becasue this one is already super long and I'd rather keep it about one main subject#danny phantom#the ultimate enemy

I will teach you all I know
So here's a little story about Emmrich learning that his daughter is a mage.
Here it is on ao3
“FIRE!” Manfred was yelling excitedly from the living room. While this would not be an unusual occurrence in itself, the sound that followed made Emmrich's blood freeze. Ellie was screaming in fear and Emmrich was out of his study and down the stairs in mere seconds, skidding to a stop in front of his daughter. She was standing there, crying, and he fell down on his knees to examine her for any signs of injury, but blessedly there was nothing to be seen. So what was-
Ah. There was a burnt patch on the rug, Manfred must have stamped the fire out.
“Manfred?” he half asked, half admonished. He had directly forbidden any unsupervised magic inside the house and yet here they were.
“NOT MANFRED,” came the answer. Well, that mystery could wait, Emmrich decided, directing his attention back to Ellie. She was shaking, tears were still streaming down her face and she looked so terrified that Emmrich's heart almost broke at the sight. He drew her into an embrace, holding her tightly and stroking her hair until the tremors finally stopped. She squirmed in his arms and he let her go.
“Elanora, what happened? Are you alright?”
“It was an accident!” she wailed, on the verge of more tears. “I don't know what happened, it just started burning!” And then she was sobbing again and Emmrich picked her up to comfort her. She rested her head on his shoulder and his mind went back to the time when she was a baby, when he and Rook carried her through countless nights just like this. And now she was six years old and such a happy and clever child. Though not so happy at the moment, it seemed.
Emmrich looked at Manfred with a raised eyebrow.
“Manfred, could you please tell me what happened here?”
“SHE'S LIKE MANFRED! LIKE YOU!”
What? Like him? Surely not… “What do you mean?”
“MAGIC!” Manfred was clapping his hands in glee.
Emmrich gaped at him. She was a mage? She was a mage! Oh, but how he looked forward to teaching her! But that was for later, now he had a scared little girl in his arms who deserved an explanation.
“Ellie, would you come down for a bit?”
She sniffled but nodded against his shoulder and he settled her on the sofa and sat down next to her. He handed her a handkerchief and she blew her nose with a honk, giggling at the sound she produced. He rolled his eyes fondly. All was right in the world when his daughter was amused by bodily functions.
“Do you understand what happened?” he asked softly.
“Noo? But I didn't want to do it, I was playing dragons with Freddy and I was burning down a village and it was just pretend, but then the rug caught fire!” She was getting agitated again and Emmrich ran a hand down her back to help her calm down.
“I am not angry with you, my dear. You are showing the first signs of being able to use magic, though you are not yet able to control it.”
Her eyes lit up. “I'm gonna be a mage? Like you?”
“Yes, you are. But there is much studying ahead of you, if you wish to master it.”
She nodded seriously. “I can do it, daddy, don't worry.”
“Of that I have no doubt.”
Right then the front door opened, heralding Rook's return from the market. Ellie took off after him immediately.
“Dad, dad!” she yelled, running up to him and he caught her in a hug.
“Hey, little bug, how was your day?“
“I burned a hole in the rug and I'm gonna be a mage like daddy!” she said proudly, pointing at the rug in question. They walked back to Emmrich and Ellie plopped herself on the sofa, examining her hands hopefully for signs of more fire coming out of them.
“Oh. Okay?” Rook looked at Emmrich, more than a little confused.
“Rook, it is marvelous! She managed to produce flame all by herself. And at such a young age!”
“Wow, that's great! Well, not the rug, I mean. And she's gonna have the best teacher right at home.”
Rook said the last part with such conviction that Emmrich blushed a little at the words. Then Rook turned back to Ellie.
“Are you gonna be a necromancer like your daddy?”
“Nope. I wanna be cool like Neve and make ice knives!” She was animated now, making woosh-woosh noises, pretending to cast magic at an invisible opponent.
Emmrich sputtered at her comment and Rook's shoulders were shaking with quiet laughter.
“Excuse me, young lady, is commanding the dead not ‘cool’ enough for you?” he asked, pretending to be offended. She patted his hand consolingly.
“Neve can teach you to make ice too, if you want to be cool, you know.”
Rook was still snickering, but Emmrich pretended not to see.
“I shall remember that, then, should I ever wish to become cool like Neve and yourself,” he said haughtily, but there was laughter in his voice he couldn't quite hide.
He raised his gaze back to Rook, who was now watching him with a warm smile.
“So there are gonna be three mages in the house now? I'm beginning to feel a little outnumbered,” Rook chuckled, taking a hold of Emmrich's hand. “But I guess I'll manage, they're family, after all.”
Emmrich smiled back at him, still as hopelessly in love with his husband as he was when they first got together. Rook tugged at his hand to bring him closer and then he kissed him in belated greeting. Emmrich reciprocated happily, until-
“Daaaad!”
Rook drew away and looked at their daughter with a grin.
“Yeah, El?”
“Ew. Take yourselves elsewhere please,” she said in such a good imitation of Emmrich's voice that they both burst out laughing.

Finding Independence Without Love
Musings of independence with the absence of love feat. Moominvalley
Dependency is common in some relationships and could happen in both platonic and romantic relationships. We see our partners/friends as a source of happiness every time we feel down. Our clinginess strengthens when we have a special person in our lives, thinking of them as a person without flaws or perfect. This can be an unhealthy way of how we act or think in our relationships with other people, we can’t expect they’ll satisfy our needs immediately, it’s like you are viewing them as the top of our pedestal, admiring them a lot.
I am saying this from my perspective as a young adult, I’ve experienced the first time feeling disappointed in my ex-crush when I hear he likes someone else. It hurts a lot to hear from the person you’ve admired for so long like someone other than you, I mean, it’s a universal experience, right? Getting disappointed or rejected, you start to get mad at yourself like hitting, pulling your hair, or even slapping yourself for not getting chosen, you feel like an idiot for being delusional thinking you’re the “one” for them. It’s a tragic feeling, I know—but I tried to forget about them, not as a friend but as a “crush”.
During my Christmas break, I struggled to cope with my feelings, so I doomscrolled YouTube for 10-12 hours for 3 days straight without reaching out to someone because I needed to isolate myself from what happened, trying to forget it ever happened. Then, I stumbled upon a show called “Moominvalley” on my for you page, I decided to watch the clips, and guess what? I fell in love with it quickly even though it’s been 3 days since I knew about this show. Moominvalley is a comforting show, and what intrigued me about the show is the character Snufkin, an easygoing and carefree enjoys thinking about things and always comes and goes as he pleases, going on adventures. Like Snufkin, I enjoy solo trips, I'm not a big fan of trips with my friends (depends on my mood but I prefer solo to groups) since I do treasure my alone time a lot, able to think about stuff or explore everywhere without any people around trying to drain my energy emotionally and physically. With my solo trips, I'm able to reflect on many stuff without any distractions. Just because I enjoy being alone doesn't mean I don't feel lonely… I have friends who care about me a lot—including my ex-crush but despite them being overall supportive and approachable, I can't help but try to push them away from me—isolating myself, especially what happened between my ex-crush and me, I can't face them anymore something that leads me to isolate myself from them and my friends, not wanting help or comfort from them anymore. I shut myself from them, I don't want to make things complicated. Snufkin really relates toMoninn on a deeper level, making him my kin since he does push away friends, has abandonment issues, fears getting attached, is sad on the inside, and struggles to talk/chat with someone.
Through the show Moominvalley, I’ve learned the hard way that even the people you deeply love and admire, you need to accept that you can’t control how they feel or act, because well… they are humans, right? They deserve to feel or act what they want, even having feelings for somebody they like, even if it’s not you. It’s sad because that person made you feel alive or wanted, through the physical touch, words of affirmation, and more—makes me so special to them. Maybe that’s the reason why I fell in love with them in the first place. This also relates to the relationship between Moominttoll and Snufkin, Moominroll being clingy and a bit obsessed to Snufkin makes him admire him because of his adventures but unlike Snufkin, he tries to avoid any attachment to Moomintroll, resulting him to leave everytime to get some alone time or to isolate himself in his adventures. Moomintroll is also one of the characters I've kinned too, him being so clingy towards Snufkin reminds how I acted towards my ex-crush but not as obsessive, just right. Moomintroll has longings for Snufkin, always wanting to be in his side everytime, like how I've wanted to be in my ex-crush's side whenever I have a chance too—but sadly they found someone they always want to be close with… I'm glad for them but I tend to feel lonely without them around, yearning for some message or conversation from them—nothing is the same anymore as before… but that's life, there will be changes, whether you like it or not.
Therefore, I still need time for myself and watch more Moominvalley to find my purpose in life outside heartbreaks. Even I would love to talk/chat with them, it’s time to use this vacation to take a break from them for a while, giving myself time to grow as an independent person—not needing their comfort or help and focusing on my passion for writing, like what I am doing right now. Sometimes, we need to depend on ourselves, without needing anyone to fix us. That's what I did to cope.
To end this, I would like to add a quote from Moominvalley from the character Snufkin, he once said:
“You can't ever be really free if you admire somebody too much.” - Snufkin (Moominvalley 2019)
This quote explains we can't really be free if we admire that special person too much, draining your energy mentally and emotionally. I wish I've heard this show during my childhood then I wouldn't have to deal with heartbreaks all of the sudden. But I guess things happen for a reason. Moominvalley is truly a masterpiece, especially the creator itself Tove Jansson, the one responsible for making this beautifully crafted show for us to love and enjoy, making us learn meaningful lessons.
We humans seek longing, wanting be loved by that person we admired but I know we're better than that—I’m better than that anyways! We know that those people we love are humans too, so why waste our time waiting for approval from them? We could try to look after ourselves and be a independent with or without them—needing no love from them at all! Love can wait but not with hopes and dreams, our passions in life are much more important than some hopeless romance. We don't need that person we deeply admire to take over our lives, we should move forward and never look back! It's such a shame not to take a chance to do what you're passionate about when we only live once.
With Moominvalley, It's possible for us to grow to independent individuals thriving to make the world a better place! With my strong love for writing, I could write freely, writing down my musings, feelings, and emotions. I’m grateful to be alive where the world is filled with endless possibilities, where you can be free from everything! Be who you want to be, explore everything until you find your purpose—that’s the beauty of independence without love!
“It is simply this: do not tire, never lose interest, never grow indifferent—lose your invaluable curiosity and you let yourself die. It's as simple as that.” - Tove Jansson (Fair Play 1989)

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 115 (Getting Cozy With New Friends?)
The events of this post occurred after New Year's Eve at the Salty Paw (Generation 2 Pts. 106 and 107).
After an eventful holiday season, Heather Nesbitt phoned her youngest sister on New Year's Day. Hazel checked the call display and forced a smile. "Hey Big Sis, what are you up to?"
"Hey, Little Dandelion. Just watching the Holiday Yule Log on repeat (totally autonomously) before I do some bookkeeping for the clinic. Helps me focus, and they haven't taken it off the air yet this year. How are you doing?"
"Pretty awful," Hazel admitted. "I'm sorry we just left without saying goodbye last night. We were too busy giving each other the cold shoulder all the way back to Henford."
"Don't apologize. I'm glad you got home safely, but I know things between you aren't okay. I think we all hoped things would get better after you talked on Winterfest Day."
"We didn't really talk. We skated and went home and just didn't fight for a few days."
Heather frowned. "Do you want to talk about it?"
Hazel shook her head. "Not right now. I want to have a nap and then get out of the house for the night. It's weird being here surrounded by her family all the time. I feel like her mother and brother are constantly judging me."
"They love Nicola like we love you," Heather said. "But she shouldn't talk to you like she does. You don't deserve it. I'm willing to bet that a lot of what she's going through isn't even really about you."
Hazel sighed. "I just make it all worse."
Heather loved her baby sister and would always support her, but she never would have advised Hazel's next move.
To end a New Year's Day where Hazel spent as much time avoiding Nicola and her family as possible, she found herself drinking screwdrivers at the pub that night. She was alone, again, until she met Suri Romeo and flirted over drinks until well after midnight.
When the pub closed, they continued with a stroll along the River Bagley. The place near the village green, which had earlier that day been packed with locals for the annual Polar Bear Swim, was devoid of any lamplights, but Hazel could still make out Suri's smile in the light of the moon. "Are you happily married, Hazel?"
She didn't want to answer and pulled Suri in for a kiss. It felt electric - nothing like the kisses she shared with her wife. Not now, and maybe not ever.
But she thought of Nicola back home, probably asleep and snoring a little. Her wedding vows meant she wasn't supposed to do this, and she pulled away with a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry," she said. "My wife."
Suri nodded with an understanding smile. "I'm living with my grandparents at their farm in Old New Henford. Call me when you figure out some things."
But Hazel called Suri long before she had anything "figured out," inviting her to the first Finchwick Fair of the new year. "I have to be there with Mayor Varner, but it's really a great opportunity for you to live like a true Henford local," she told Suri, and they met outside the village green on a sunny winter afternoon.
"Did your wife not want to be here?" Suri wondered.
"She's grading papers and the Finchwick Fair isn't really her thing. She loves gardening, but she hasn't done much of it lately." Nicola recalled the woman she used to know with some regret before quickly brushing it away and returning her focus to Suri. "Here, I saw this video that made me think of you. It's a cat, but he's a chef. It's called ChefCat!"
They were interrupted by friendly Mayor Varner, who was happy to meet anyone in his town at any time. "Hello there! I'd never miss a new face!"
"Mayor Varner, this is Suri Romeo. She's just moved to town to learn to be a great chef from her grandmother, Clara Bjergsen."
"Ah! The Bjergsens are wonderful citizens! And your grandmother's baked goods are the reason I'm out of shape."
Suri smiled. "Hopefully one day I'll be just as good as she is."
"You'll have a wonderful mentor. Welcome to town, Miss Romeo!" He turned to a starry-eyed Nicola. "How are those new year's reports coming, Hazel?"
"I should be done this week, sir. It's a lot of information to put together."
He frowned. They both knew he'd expected those reports on his desk last week, but the work was a drag, and he'd given her too many previous extensions. She forced a smile for her boss.
When it got a little cooler, Hazel and Suri went inside the pub to warm up. They danced to some holiday music still playing on the in-house stereo, before Hazel pulled a sprig of mistletoe from the ceiling. "Laura must've forgotten to take this down with the rest of the Winterfest decorations," she mused, but she held it playfully over her head anyway. Suri laughed, leaning in to kiss her quickly on the lips.
Hazel glanced around. The bar was mostly empty with most patrons enjoying the fair outside, but they knew they shouldn't be spotted doing what they were doing.
They continued to see one another in secret, hanging out at the community garden in Old New Henford to get to know one another. Suri told Hazel about life growing up in an apartment in San Myshuno with her parents and brothers, and about visits to Henford to see her grandparents and aunts every summer. She even told her about her mother's cousin Olivia, who was a basketball star at Foxbury Institute.
Hazel was happy to talk about her family - her parents, her sisters, her brother, all her in-laws and nieces and nephews - but not her wife. And she knew her friendship with Suri was dangerous. She wanted Suri all to herself and didn't want her wife to know anything about her.
As the snow melted beneath her jacket, Hazel would cloudgaze (even in Henford's mild, sunny winter climate) and imagine herself with Suri. Not Nicola.
She knew marriage counseling was the best course of action, but when she looked at Nicola, she didn't want to do it. When Suri entered her life, she could finally admit to herself what she'd tried to mask for years. Hazel was no longer attracted to her objectively beautiful wife, and no amount of counseling would bring her feelings back.
She grew increasingly careless in her time spent with Suri. She told Suri she wanted out, but conversations with Nicola these days always ended in tears. She didn't tell anyone what was going on because she knew they'd tell her to be better. To talk to Nicola, to end things with Suri before they went too far, to be a bigger person. She'd lost her will to care about any of it.
On Sportsball Sunday, Hazel wanted to go to the Gnome's Arms to watch the game. River had invited her to her childhood home, but Suri would be at the pub. She was getting ready to go when her girlfriend surprised her at home in the Bramblewood.
"What are you doing here? I was just leaving."
"I came to tell you my little cousin Jada heard at school that you and I are seeing each other."
Hazel froze. If kids at school were talking about Mrs. Moody-Nesbitt's wife having an affair, then... Sure enough, Nicola met them in the yard with a churlish grin.
"Oh good! You're both here, so I only need to get mad once before I forget either of you and leave while Hazel packs her things."
Hazel was quiet, letting Nicola unleash a torrent of disappointment at her affair. "It kills me Hazel. I wanted a family with you. It's all we talked about for years, but then I lost my dad and you cheated. And I found out at work, which is so embarrassing! My schedule was never the problem when it came to counseling. I worked the same schedule every day, I came home - you're the one who always had somewhere else to be."
Hazel was defeated and ready to leave, and she apologized for embarrassing her. "I shouldn't have been with Suri behind your back, but what are we really salvaging anymore, Nic? I'm sorry."
Nicola scowled. "Oh, you're done? Hazel, I already got the divorce papers from the courthouse. Sign them and get out of my house."
Though Nicola put on a confident facade while she took the initiative to end their union, they both left the marriage with regrets. They could have tried harder, if they were really meant to be. But more than anything, they could have waited to get married. Maybe then they'd never have married at all, and their differences wouldn't have been so hard to take.
And now, with the sunny weather betraying their broken hearts, Hazel Nesbitt and Nicola Moody-McMillan had shared their last cozy celebrations together.
How would each move on from here? ->
<- Previous Chapter | Gen 2 Start | Gen 2.1 Summary
Gen 1 Start | Gen 1 Summary
The answers to that question! Nicola's next chapter begins here as a contestant on Dating Deanna, a reality TV series debuting in January by @changingplumbob, where dozens of contestants will compete for the heart of beautiful bachelorette Deanna York.
Hazel lives with the Nesbitt-Gordons for now, so we'll follow her story with Heather and her crew in Sims In Bloom!
This was hardly cozy, but I've written a couple surprise bonus posts for tomorrow/my Christmas Day that are much more fun, and they finish off the reward event with a lot less angst and drama!
NOTE: For the record, I believe in working on a marriage, but Hazel and Nicola's compatibility was awful once Lovestruck patched in. They truly grew apart, not at all together, and didn't have enough desire to put in the work to save their short-lived marriage. Then Hazel met Suri and they were flirty and got along so much better, so I figured she and Nicola might both be happier without each other and they divorced.
While Hazel has a potential someone, I was trying to think about what to do with Nicola when Dating Deanna was announced. I thought this was perfect because now I don't have to plot her next chapter, and if she doesn't win Deanna's heart she'll return with new lore and backstory to write for.
I know she has few fans these days and that's fine! But when she's with the right person and not cheated on (entering a bachelorette competition could really test her), Nicola will put in the work. She's too good and family oriented not to. Hazel, on the other hand, should possibly reckon with why she chose to cheat and not leave...

Aww I love that for you!! (I would so be joining him on that LOTR rewatch--extended edition 🤣) Merry Christmas, my lovely Wayne!! 💕💕 Thanks for treating me with yet another Christmas gift. 🥹
Jesus's birthday! We're jumping right into this, and a bullet flying past your head while you're bloody and running through the woods is horrifying 😳 Hoping the boys are close 🤍
Oh yeah, we're diving STRAIGHT into the action on this part. That's your worst nightmare 2X right? 😅😅
She's such a badass! Russell would be so proud of her 🥹
LOLL first of all, your Joey gif had me deaddd. She's def learned a thing or two on self-defense from Charlie, and I too think if Russell saw her he'd be really proud. 🥹
I snorted so hard 😂😂 Such an accurate Colter moment again 🤍 I loved their little bonding/teasing moment while searching too 🥹
Ahahaha I love his dry sarcasm (very much like mine). 😂 I felt like we needed that broment of levity before all the heavy action! 💜
She is so damn cute 😆💕 I'm glad it all worked out and both Charlie and her are okay. Colter watching them with his little secret smile was so adorable too. My heart is full 😭🥹❤️
Aww I'm so glad you like her nerdy heart like I do. 🥹🥹 It all worked out in the end, thanks to the Shaw bros! And I loved giving her and Russell that moment with Colter's "secret smile," him ultimately knowing where this is going and giving them their romcom beat loll.
Damn Charlie... Love yourself a little more, buddy 😅❤️🩹
Poor guy loll. His self-esteem has taken a beating. 🥲❤️🩹 I had this scene from The Hitman's Bodyguard in my head. 🤣🤣
The Ken doll... I fucking can't with you today 🤣🤣 (The rum might also be kicking in lmao)
Lmaooo I'm honestly so glad someone thinks I'm funny, even if it's due to the rum. 😂🥃
Finally! I genuinely love how long it took him to catch on 😂 Loved this part! I'm glad Charlie's getting some help and these two finally decided to take the plunge ☺️ Can't wait to see what happens in the last part. I know they still have some things to figure out, but I can't imagine Russell wouldn't be willing to work on some sort of agreement 💚
LOLL He got there eventually. 😏
Aww thank you so much, hun! I thought Charlie deserved a proper second chance to turn his life around. 💜
Part 5 is where the rest of the magic happens between these two, now that they more or less have an understanding. 😘 Hopping over to your lovely comments on the finale next!!! 💕💕

Part 4: “Mountain Man”
You were running for your life.
Blood dripped down into your line of vision, but you swept it away from your face with a haphazard hand, along with your tears as you nearly stumbled on the path.
A gunshot rang in your ears and hit a tree instead of your head.
Shit! You screamed and ducked, but you kept running…
After you tumbled down the hill, it was a small mercy that you didn’t break any bones when you eventually landed at the bottom. You’d stared up at the sky, winded, your back aching. Until you noticed Rick, one of Eddie’s men. He was sliding down the hill after you.
You didn’t know what happened to your brother after he attempted to push you out of harm’s way. That thought alone gripped your heart like a vice, but you knew you couldn’t stay here on the ground either.
You forced your body to move, whimpering at the pain and stiffness. Shakily you pushed onto your feet and slipped on dead leaves as you went. You moved your legs faster, until you were able to take off running deeper into the forest.
You gasped when your foot caught on a large rock. It sent you crashing into the ground. With your hands still bound, it made pushing yourself back up that much more difficult.
You spat out a couple of leaves. Fuck…
When Rick caught up to you, fear made you jolt into action. You wrapped your gathered hands around the rock that felled you and tossed it at him with all the strength you had. He blocked the projectile with the same hand that held his gun, like an idiot. You really couldn’t be blamed when the gun went off in his face.
He screamed, and so did you on reflex. Though his cheek and brow had been grazed by the bullet, he was lucky he still had both eyes. He blinked a bit of blood out of his left one. You scrambled back onto your feet and meant to keep running, but Rick still managed to surge forward and get a hold of your hair.
Uttering a short scream, you grabbed his shirt and kneed him as hard as you could between the legs. You hoped you crushed his dick and balls.
“Oh, f—” He went down to the ground, sinking onto his knees as he dropped his gun. He glared up at you. “You little bitch!”
You were panting for breath, but you didn’t wait for him to recover and grab his weapon again.
You ran.
You ran, even though you had no idea where you were going. You just knew that you couldn’t stay in one place. But if you couldn’t find your way around a college campus, how the hell were you supposed to navigate the damn Medicine Bow National Forest?
Along with your desperation and fear, tears kept filling your eyes whenever you thought of Charlie.
Please, please, please…
“Goddamn, they could be anywhere,” Russell groused, as he and Colter hiked through the forest. He was, admittedly, breathing a bit harder from the trek uphill. “It’s been hours already.”
“It’s barely been an hour,” Colter reminded him. And he didn’t look winded in the least.
Bastard. Russell glanced at him, but then he focused on the horizon. The sun was finally starting to come up, which was good for them. They could see the trails more clearly.
“Remember when Dad used to make us free-climb the cliffs in Sierra?” Russell asked.
“Yeah,” Colter said. “You used to beat me every time. Wonder what happened to that guy.”
His tone was teasing. Russell shot him a look, half annoyed, and half amused.
“Yeah, well, he turned 40,” Russell replied.
Colter smiled, but both of them paused when they heard a gunshot ring out, followed by two more.
“That was close,” he said.
“Yeah,” Russell agreed, drawing his own gun. Colter did the same, and they hurried up a roaming hill that had Russell briefly peering over the side. In his mind’s eye, he had to shutter away the memory of seeing a body flung over the side in the dark and the rain. Then him looking over the edge of that cliff and recognizing his father’s twisted body.
And Colter, shouting up at him with angry, tearful, accusing eyes.
A male groan broke Russell out of his thoughts as he and his brother came up on a grim scene. Two men laid dead, and another young man with dark hair was lying prone on the ground, clutching his wounded leg. He’d been shot, though a gun also was held tightly in his own hand. He aimed it at the newcomers.
“Charlie?” Colter asked. He recognized the other man from your family photos.
Charlie blinked up at him in surprise, but not without a grim set to his jaw.
“Who the hell are you?” he asked.
Russell let out a subtle breath. Colter was relieved as well.
“I’m Colter. This is my brother, Russell,” he said. “Your sister asked for our help to find you.”
Charlie’s eyes widened. All of them slowly lowered their weapons. Russell gestured at the bodies lying yards away from him.
“I’m guessing one of those guys is Eddie Mendez?” he said.
Charlie nodded, gesturing at the man closest to him with his gun. He groaned at the agony in his right thigh. Colter quickly went to his side and began to wrap a tourniquet around his leg to stem the bleeding.
“Did the bullet go through?” Colter asked.
“I think so,” Charlie replied.
“Where’s your sister?” Russell asked, his impatience evident in his stance and the way he held his gun while scanning his surroundings. His frown deepened when he didn’t see you.
“Oh, fuck!” Charlie said, and not at the pain of Colter wrapping his leg. His eyes were wide with panic. “Rick’s after her. I clipped him, but he slipped by me.”
“Where?” Russell asked. Charlie pointed down the side of the hill.
“Down there. Headed north I think, but I’m not sure,” he said quickly. “Help her, please!”
Russell didn’t need any encouragement. He started down the hill first.
After making sure Charlie was stable for now, Colter followed after his brother a few minutes later.
Russell called your name as he searched through the dense trees. Sunlight was beginning to filter through their leaves in dappled color on the trail. It gave him a better view ahead.
He stopped short when he saw a splatter of blood on the ground, painting the dirt and some dead leaves. A well of unease rose in his gut.
He headed toward the sound of running water, and he soon found another cliff. Just beyond it was a waterfall, and river below. Seeing no signs of life, he pulled back and continued to call your name, and all the while, pushing down his worry.
“Russell?!”
He turned sharply to see you coming out of your hiding place—a large fallen tree. A smile started to raise his lips, but no sooner had he taken one step in your direction, when he almost got a bullet in his head for his trouble.
“Watch out!” you yelled. Rick came out into the clearing and aimed at you next.
“Get down!” Russell shouted.
Without blinking, he shot Rick three times: once in the shoulder, twice in the chest.
The man went down. He was dead before he even met the ground.
It was then that Colter finally caught up. Russell nodded at him, but his focus was on heading for the fallen tree after he stowed his gun.
The moment he took a step over it, you popped up with a yell, ready to smack him with a tree branch. He leaned back raised up his hands in defense.
“Whoa, hey, it’s okay! It’s just me, slugger,” he said with a grin.
You let out a sharp sigh of relief. The branch fell from your loose fingers. As you caught your breath, your mouth trembled, and your eyes filled with tears at the sight of him.
Russell softened. He reached for you.
“Come ‘ere,” he said. Your hands slipped into his, and he helped you over the trunk of the tree. After using his handy pocketknife to cut through the zip ties binding your wrists together, you landed right into his waiting embrace. There, you spilled hot tears into his bulletproof vest.
“It’s okay, sweetheart. I’ve gotcha,” he said. His voice was low and soothing. “You’re okay.”
You raised your head with a desperate question in your eyes.
“Charlie?” you asked.
“Charlie’s okay too,” Russell assured. His hand soothed over your tangled hair and down your back. He could feel you trembling as you rested against him and sobbed. He held you tight, safe, as he rocked you a little from side to side. His own relief was a weight off his chest.
Colter stood by and watched with a secret smile.
With his bare hands clawing into damp soil, Colter dug up the crate Charlie buried near the base of the waterfall. True to his word, it was filled with precious artifacts.
“Just, please be careful,” you warned him again over his shoulder. “These are quite literally hundreds of years old.”
Before Colter could assure you, again, that he’d be careful, you actually set a hand on his shoulder and implored him to move back.
“Matter of fact, sorry, let me do this part,” you said. “I’m the only one who’s really trained to handle these. Plus, your hands are dirty.”
Colter raised a brow, but he obliged you. He glanced over at his brother. Russell just watched in amusement while you opened the crate.
You wished you had gloves on for this, but you supposed it couldn’t be helped. You stopped just shy of touching them—a bow and arrow, three spears, and a couple of knives. Each were crafted with wood and bone, with designs carved and accented in faded red and blue.
“Wow,” you whispered. Your historian heart was singing right now.
You made sure each artifact was intact and hadn’t sustained water damage, then you covered them back up with the lid to the crate.
“Okay, now you can take it, thank you. This thing is heavy,” you said, with a pat on Colter’s shoulder.
His lips played at a smile, but he accepted the responsibility of carrying the crate.
Russell rested a hand on the small of your back to subtly help you back up the hill. You couldn’t help walking closer with him, your arm brushing against his side. You glanced up at him with a smile. He matched you, then looked up ahead.
Charlie was waiting for you all while leaning against a tree. He still looked like utter hell—cut up, bruised, bloody, and now shot in the leg. You went to his side and gently grabbed his arm.
“God, Charlie. You sure you’re okay?” you asked. He curled an arm around your shoulders and flashed you a familiar grin.
“Oh, yeah. I’m like a cockroach. Just keep coming back,” he said.
You had to agree with that, laughing through the spark of your tears. Russell came on his other side and shouldered most of your brother's weight off his bad leg.
“Okay, here we go. One step at a time,” Russell said.
Slowly, painfully, Charlie managed to make it back to Colter’s truck with you and Russell supporting him. Colter brought up the rear with the artifacts in tow.
And behind you all, the sun broke more fully across the dewy trees in a morning swathed with orange and gold.
After Colter drove you and Charlie to the hospital, he and Russell took off again soon after to do something with the three bodies hidden under a tarp in the bed of the pickup truck. The thought made you shudder, along with the fact that the Shaw brothers knew how to hide bodies.
But you supposed it was better than the alternative.
As it was, you, Colter, and Charlie had to lie to the hospital staff about how you both had earned your injuries—in a brutal mugging, where Colter was able to scare off the men that got the jump on you and Charlie.
"I never saw their faces," as he'd later told the police, while the nurses prepped him for surgery. "I just tried to protect my sister the best I could."
You backed him up on the story, even as the lie felt bitter on your tongue and made you nervous (especially when you thought of poor Dr. Feinman).
Despite that little break-in at the museum yesterday, you'd never been good at being a rule breaker. Fortunately, Colter's calmness when he gave his corroborating statement helped you. Like Russell, he was a solid, anchoring presence...if in a different way.
For the crate of relics, Colter advised Charlie to ship them back to the museum anonymously. It would be the easiest way to encourage the police to lose steam on looking for who took them in the first place. You and your brother begrudgingly agreed, even if you had a secret thought of sending the artifacts to the NMAI. Maybe you could convince Charlie to send them there instead, or to one of the local Native American tribes here in Wyoming.
Hours later, however, you were able to finally be with your brother when he came out of surgery. In that time, your own bruises and the cut above your brow had been tended to in the Emergency Department. Now, you sat by his bedside while he slept off the anesthesia. You stroked his scuffed hand on the bed.
He really was a mess, you thought, as a tear rolled down your cheek. But he was alive. That was what mattered now.
A quiet knock at the door had you looking up, and then smiling to see Russell.
“Hey,” you said quietly, and in surprise. “Everything…went well?”
Russell’s lips quirked. “Yeah, we’re all set.”
No one would be finding those bodies anytime soon. He had a buddy in Denver, Colorado who happened to be a cremator. It was only a couple hours over from Laramie. He and Colter had just gotten back from driving the bodies there.
Before Colter drove over to Dory's apartment next, both to check on her and to fill her in on everything, he'd dropped Russell off at your house so he could get his car. He hadn’t felt right about leaving you in the hospital by yourself, even if you did have your brother.
Not without saying goodbye, at least.
“You know, I need to ask his doctor a question about his post-op care,” you said, gesturing at Charlie. “Can you stay with him for a minute while I go find a nurse?”
“Sure,” Russell agreed. You smiled gratefully and touched his arm as you passed him.
When you were gone, it left a heavy silence in your wake. Russell looked over at Charlie’s sleeping form. Russell sighed and sunk down into the chair beside the bed. He rubbed his tired face with both hands.
Shit. Now that he thought about it, he could’ve just told Colter to bring Dory here. He pulled out his phone to call his sister, when a low groan caught his attention.
Aw geez. What kinda timing, Russell thought, as he realized Charlie was waking up. His eyes slowly slid open, brows furrowing at the bright lights above him, then at the man beside him.
“Hey, man,” Russell said. “You’re okay. You’re in the hospital.”
“Yeah, I figured,” Charlie said, with another groan as he tried to stretch his body. He found he couldn’t yet move his leg. As awareness blinked back into his eyes, he settled on Russell with resignation.
“Thank you,” he said. “What you did for me, for her…I sure as hell didn’t deserve it, but thank you for saving her.”
Russell shook his head. “No need. Just get better.”
“Yeah. The doc says in a few months, I’ll be able to learn how to walk again,” Charlie said.
Russell gave him a firmer look.
“No, I mean get better,” he said. “You know you nearly got your sister killed.”
Charlie’s gaze fell. His face tightened, but really, he couldn’t even be upset at the accusation. He knew it was true, and his guilt already threatened to consume him. He also knew he should be in jail for what he’d done, and what he’d facilitated for months. After what nearly happened in the past twenty-four hours, he wasn’t sure how you could ever forgive him.
“Look, I served too. I know what you’re going through, being back here,” Russell said. “It feels wrong and right, don’t it?”
After a beat, Charlie nodded. “What branch?”
“Special Ops. I hear you were a pilot, Captain.”
“Yeah, I was,” Charlie said, his eyes lowering. “Now…now I don’t know what I am.”
“You’re her brother,” Russell said. Both his tone and his gaze all but demanded that the other man look him in the eyes. “Not her father or her son, her brother. I know you’ve been struggling. But I think you already know what you need to do, and figure out who you’re gonna be today, tomorrow, and the next.”
Charlie took in those words, and tried not to chafe at them coming from a near stranger. He knew, deep down, that all of it was right.
You came in a moment later with two cups of coffee. You brightened with a gasp when you saw that Charlie was awake.
“Hey.” He found a smile for you. You gave Russell the coffee you’d brought for him, but you quickly set yours down on the rolling tray so you could sit beside your brother.
Russell stepped out to give you two some privacy. You thanked him again and watched him go. Then, you turned back to Charlie with a tearful smile.
“How’re you feeling?” you asked.
“Have I said how much I love morphine?” Charlie remarked.
You rolled your eyes and took his hand in yours. “Yeah, how can I forget your thing for hard drugs.”
That hit sharper than a mere joke. His eyes fell away from yours. You sighed and bit your lip.
“I’m sorry,” you said. Charlie shook his head and covered your hand with his.
“No, I’m sorry. For everything I’ve put you through. And I don’t just mean today,” he said. “I’m going to make it up to you.”
“All that matters is that you’re here, and you’re going to be fine,” you said. “I’ve already put together a list of what you’re going to need when we bring you home—”
Charlie stopped you with a squeeze of your hand.
“I’m not going home just yet,” he said.
“Well, no, not until they discharge you, but—”
Again, he gently cut you off. “You were right. I need treatment, and not just for this damn leg.”
He swept a hand through his hair and sighed.
“When they let me out of here, I’m going back to rehab,” he said. “After that, we’ll see.”
Tears stung in your eyes…but you nodded in relief. You held both of his hands then.
“You’re not doing this alone,” you told him. “I’ll be with you, every step.”
Charlie let out a self-deprecating chuckle. He felt he didn’t deserve that, but he smiled at you.
“I know. You’ll be nagging me in my head, even when you’re not there,” he said. You smirked and brushed his greasy hair away from his face.
“Damn straight,” you replied. “I’ve finally become Mom.”
Charlie shook his head in amusement, but he leveled you with a pointed finger.
“But for now, you need to go home and get some rest,” he said.
You reluctantly agreed with that too. After a full twenty-four hours without sleep, you realized that you were exhausted. You leaned over and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
“I love you,” you said. “I’ll come back to see you tomorrow.”
“Good. Love you too,” said Charlie. His eyelids were starting to droop from the pain medication, but he forced himself to stay awake for a little while longer. He even helped you back onto your feet with a guiding hand on your back. “Wait, is someone staying with you tonight? I don’t want you to be alone.”
You grabbed up your purse. “Don’t worry. I think I’ve got that covered.”
Your brother quirked a suspicious smile at the look on your face. The one you tried to hide from him when you noticed his scrutiny.
“What, is it one of those guys who helped us?” he asked. “Is it the blonde one—Ken doll? Or the mountain man?”
Of course he knew their names, but he just wanted to mess with you. He could already see you getting flustered while you twisted the strap of your purse between your fingers and glanced at the door.
“What? No! Just go to sleep. Take advantage of the morphine while you’ve got it,” you said. “Don’t worry. I’ll call Dory.”
Charlie leveled you with a look. “Mhmm.”
He pulled the blanket higher on his chest and watched you leave. When the door swung open, he saw Russell leaning against the wall, waiting for you.
Charlie huffed. He should’ve known.
Okay, mountain man.
That was the last thought he had before he drifted off.
You left your brother’s room just about overwhelmed with a maelstrom of emotions. However, the moment you saw Russell waiting for you, leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets, it all distilled into one simple thing.
He met your gaze and started to smile.
You smiled back, and you went to him.
You reached up to frame his face with both hands, and you searched for something in his eyes. They were tinged with surprise, but he waited on you, wondering what you were about to do.
When you thought you found what you were looking for, you raised up on your toes and pressed your lips to his.
His hands unconsciously found your waist and held you to him. He met your lips in kind, and even deepened the connection. Your fingers slipped into his hair, lightly dragging your nails against his scalp. He hummed in pleasure.
When your lips eventually parted from his, it was still too soon, he thought. Russell stared down at you with a question in his eyes—one he couldn’t help voicing.
“What was that for?” he asked.
“Thank you,” you whispered. “Thank you for everything.”
Ah… Russell’s smile evened out and faded slightly.
So that was just a gesture of gratitude. He hoped you didn’t decide to thank Colter that way.
“You don’t need to thank me,” Russell said. “I’m glad Charlie’s all right.”
“No, I do need to. So thank you,” you said. Your hands drifted down his chest, plucking at the edge of his jacket.
“I don’t really want to be alone today, to be honest,” you admitted. “Would you…want to…keep me company for a while? You could rest up at my place.”
Russell’s brows raised. His lips curved.
“Well, sure. I could do that. Your couch seemed pretty comfortable,” he said.
“You don’t have to stay on the couch,” you replied.
And then, Russell finally read your meaning. He saw it in your eyes, staring up at him through your lashes.
Maybe that kiss was exactly what he thought it meant. His smile became more genuine.
“Well, okay,” he said eventually. He wrapped an arm around your waist. “Let’s get you home then.”
You leaned against his side and gave him a lazy salute. “Aye, aye, Captain.”
He shook his head. His smile deepened into a grin.
“You’re a little delirious, aren’t you?” he asked.
“Probably need some water,” you said with a giggle. “And God, I’m starving.”
Russell laid a gentle kiss to the side of your head that wasn’t bruised.
“All right, we’ll take care of that too,” he said.
“You know what I’m craving?” you asked. He looked down at you questioningly, and again he found your smile.
“Sriracha fries,” you said.
Russell busted out laughing at that. He fist-pumped the air with his free hand.
“Hell, yeah.”
For that, and much more, he would count today as a win.
AN: There we go! A nice fluffy finish for you. How did you like how Charlie's arc wrapped up, along with her reunion with Russell? 💜
But just wait. We're not quite done yet...
Next Time:
He took in your hesitant face, then the pretty dress you had on. The color matched your eyes. Soulful eyes.
He smiled when you let him see them again.
“Can you see the bruises? I think I covered them up well enough,” you said. You turned to look at yourself in the mirror again, touching your jaw carefully.
Russell’s hand raised to find your cheek, earning your attention with wider eyes. His thumb swept across your skin as you started to blush.
“You’re beautiful,” he said with a smile. “Don’t you worry about that.”
Your face warmed further, despite your smile.
“Yeah, the makeup helps,” you quipped.
“I didn’t say anything about makeup,” he replied. Though he grinned and made a show of looking closer at your face. “Although, have your lashes always been that damn long?”
You laughed, but he didn’t let go of you.

This is probably retreading crow Yuan ground, but crow spirit Shen Yuan to transmigrated into a crow!! When SJ didn't die as expected. The system gives him a little boost to get started on cultivation as well as "mini games" that increase his cultivation and but the time LBH comes out of the abyss, SY has a golden core and can communicate with lbh though he's a long way from a human transformation.
But this point in his life, LBH knows to be wary of everything, but also that crows are intelligent and loyal so he gives SY a chance and once he discovers they can communicate easily, allows the bird to hang around.
It's good to have a spy - and not even a demonic one or one first loyal to MBJ (looking at you, shishu). Crow Yuan is very supportive of LBH's schemes and plans, but extremely critical of LBH's women. It should take more than a "you deserve better than her" and a few squawks to dissuade LBH from his conquests, but something is sharp and bright and he DOES deserve better
When LBH has a breakdown over QWY forcing herself on him by coercion, SY goes into overdrive. He'd thought that scene was sus but now he's on the war path.
He goes and retrieves a ton of magical items and precious manuscripts to help LBH handle xinmo so he's never forced again. SY keeps waiting to feel bad as some woman dies bc LBH refuses to save her with his dick, but that feeling never comes. He feels a little upset, but mostly at airplane for designing the world that way
LBH still knows sy is upset and eventually research reveals there was a non heavenly pillar cure AND the woman's village should have known it. He goes back and strongarms them into doing regular sex pollen education.
Then it happens again
And again.
SY is starting to get confused about LBH's conquest against wife plots. Shouldn't he be, you know, conquering the land?? Not that SY is complaining. LBH never seemed to enjoy his power, he just never wanted to be trampled on again. It was like that study about how money does buy happiness, but only to a certain point. Maybe power was the same?
After sy learns SQH is airplane, he whole -heartedly encourages LBH to force more and more demonic sovereignty on the North just to give airplane more work. Especially since SY, with his front row seat on LBH's shoulder, has seen tons of demonic courting live and knows MBJ wants a piece of that.
Meanwhile, SY's cultivation improves by leaps and bounds with the help of LBH's blood and various gifts from the protagonist.
SY really wants to hate all of the silver bangles and other decorations he's gifted, but his brain is still a crow's brain at the end of the day so he suffers it with dignity.
At one point he realizes maybe he should stop cultivating. After all, if he's a human, the dynamic will change. LBH might see him rejecting marriage offers as a threat rather than good advice. LBH might think sy wants more power and riches for himself rather than for LBH
#svsss#meanwhile they stumble on the lost LBH's blood parents sub plot#since he's not married to the palace mistress his ties with hhp are loose at best and he's ready to burn the place down#he and sy debate heavily whether or not to free tlj#and eventually agree to free him but they bind him with a lot of curses and spells just in case he gets out of hand#tlj takes out hhp qiong ding and Qing jing but leaves the rest of the cultivation world alone#lbh is very confused as to why sy wants him to marry lmy so bad when he hates everyone else#then he discovers lmy writes cutsleeve yellow books#and has her write them about him and his most trusted friend

The previous post of restoration! catelyn seeing her supposed revival in rheagar is so sad. A lys Nobel woman with all the grace and beauty one can imagine, she was fretting about ashara dayne the supposed most beautiful woman in westoros being Jon’s mother. ( I will stand by that very common rumour as secondary evidence that Jon was very pretty, that’s is discounting the beauty of his actual parents.)
But here comes rheagar, who supposedly takes more after his mother, and how could she compete with that!? Ned obviously loved their mother it was one thing having a affair during war and when they where strangers, she admits that it’s expected but it was bringing in Jon and not speaking of his mother that hurts. And now there are two more male bastards who are perfect and way above their age have a obvious noble upbringing can speak fluent high Valyrian. and when she dose learn of their mother She seems like the most perfect lady.
She was able to give Ned 3 sons in only their few meetings, two of which have the stark looks ( which she was trying to get a son with their fathers look) but more noble looking and the other has the beauty only equivalent to rheagar Targaryens (lol) so it going to hurt so much.
I do Hope Ned fesses up because even though I’m not Cat’s biggest fan, she doesn’t deserve to go through all that.
Yeah, I'm sure she already suspected Jon's mother was beautiful since Jon is quite pretty himself, but Jon also had enough of the Stark look to him that it was harder for Cat to picture his mother without also seeing Ned. (For all the Ashara Dayne rumors, I think Cat likely clung to the "common girl/whore" backstory since that would have been easier to stomach. Some fling/mistake rather than the beautiful, highborn Ashara who Ned was rumored to have been in love with.)
Rhaegar on the other hand, for very obvious reasons, has zero Ned to blur the lines, so he's the purest representation for Cat of what their mother must look like. And as you said, it's clear that Ned cared for their mother enough to go back to her, and it stings all the more that she gave him three sons in such a short time. (Two of them with the Stark look being the ultimate salt in the wound like you mentioned.)
I wonder if it helps at all to be told that she's definitively dead now. She was still someone that Ned loved more than his solemn vows to Cat. (Imagine if she asks Jon about her, anticipating that Ned told him more than he told her, and Jon reveals that Ned explicitly said that he loved his mother.)
All the hugs to the Raymar Redfort part of Rhaegar, because this (being the representation of a hated parent) is all going to be stirring up some old memories/hurts.

SAGAU Liyue - Holiday Special 2024
Summary: “A Christmas surprise party with a Liyuean twist — the perfect gift planned for you by the two young girls who wanted you to feel more at home. How could you NOT have fun with it?”
Word Count: ~10.4k
The pleasant fragrance of mixed herbs, similar to the bunches of purple and white ones held in your arms, hit your nose as you stepped through the doorway of Bubu Pharmacy, the figures of two small girls by your side. With the variety of medicinal herbs stored within its walls, it was no surprise that it smelled great whenever you visited, no matter whether morning, noon, or night.
“Your Grace…? Why, I certainly hope you’re not here because you require my aid?”
Your gaze rose from the herbs to see Baizhu with a smile on his face, subtle surprise etched into his expression. Changsheng matched his gaze, raising her head up to better look at you.
“Oh, I’m fine, doc. I was just helping Qiqi with her wildcrafting.” You lifted your arms up just so, showing off everything you gathered with a proud smile, as the aforementioned zombie raised her own arms up to place the batch of herbs she collected on the counter. “I had to climb along so many cliffs and mountain peaks, but I got ‘em! I didn’t let a single one I saw go unplucked!”
Baizhu seemed to get more surprised, but it quickly melted into a calmer smile. “You needn’t exert yourself like that, Your Grace, but I thank you for your assistance. It’s much appreciated.”
You handed the herbs to Herbalist Gui, who visibly jolted when your hand brushed against his during the exchange. He excused himself so quickly after that he almost tripped and dropped the bundles everywhere, but managed to get away with everything held tightly in his arms and a flustered look on his face. It wasn’t anything that you weren’t already fully used to at this point.
“Aw, there’s no need to be so formal with me. In fact, if you ever need some rare or hard-to-get ingredient, you can always ask me. It’s no trouble at all! I like helping you and Qiqu out, honest.”
“Hmm… then I’ll keep that in mind.”
“Your Grace, you worked really hard today!” Yaoyao piped up, drawing your attention to her and her bright smile. “I think you deserve a break! We can handle anything else that comes up.”
You lightly exhaled. “Huh? I know I said I did a lot, but I’m actually not that tired-”
“I insist! In fact, I’m sure my master would love to sit down and have tea with you. It’s been some time since you’ve personally visited her, right? She still talks a lot about the last time!”
“I… guess I can go see her, then?” You were still smiling, if a bit confused now, but you waved off the four as you began to leave. “I’ll see you all around. Don’t get into too much trouble, ‘kay?”
The moment you were out of sight, down the pharmacy’s stairs, Yaoyao turned to her friend.
“You got everything written down, right?”
“...mmm, yeah.”
The zombie slowly took out her notebook, flipping it open to the newest page, which was filled with scribbles. Her handwriting made it hard to make out some words, but a closer look made most of them legible enough to read; some of the words were bigger than others, emphasizing their importance, but the biggest one was centered almost in the middle — “Christmas”.
Yaoyao smiled brightly, gently taking the notebook out of Qiqi’s hands and holding it up as she looked at it. “Perfect! Now we can make sure to tell everyone about everything we learned!”
“And what’s this about?” Baizhu peered down at the girls from his spot behind the counter. “Scheming behind Their Grace’s back after getting Them to leave? That’s not very nice.”
Changsheng scoffed. “It’s downright rude!”
“It’s for a good reason! Well… sort of.” Yaoyao turned the notebook around to show the doctor its pages. “While we were gathering herbs, Their Grace started telling us about Their home, and They mentioned this one celebration… “Criss-miss”? That’s how They pronounced it. And, They seemed a bit sad when talking, so I’ve decided that we should throw Them a “Christmas party”!”
Qiqi raised her arms in the air, mimicking Yaoyao. “Party…!”
“Oooh…” There was a hint of interest in Baizhu’s smile. “That sounds quite nice.”
“Yeah, and everyone can help make it a big surprise!” Yaoyao closed the notebook and gave it back to Qiqi. “So forgive me, Dr. Baizhu, but I have to borrow Qiqi for a bit. We’ve a lot to plan!”
“Very well, but stay safe, you two!”
The doctor called out as the two girls set out, hand in hand as they took the first step towards their goal — throwing the Divine Creator a surprise “Christmas party” with the other vessels.

There was always one thing on the top of your to-do list whenever you visited Liyue, and that was making a trip to Wanmin Restaurant. Even when the other restaurants tried to catch your attention, you usually passed them by; they weren’t bad at all, by any means, but there was just something about Wanmin that dragged you back in for a meal whenever you were in the harbor.
And Chef Mao never complained about the big boost of business he got after one of your visits.
“Chef Mao!”
You smiled at the man as you approached, the delicious scents wafting from the restaurant’s kitchen already invading your nostrils from half a street away. You were able to identify some of the restaurant’s dishes by scent alone, but there were also new ones you weren’t familiar with.
“Your Grace, it’s an honor!” Chef Mao smiled at you from his spot behind the counter. “Are you having your usual today? I always stock up on extra ingredients whenever I hear you’re around.”
You let out a long hum. “Maybe… but I’m also feeling kind of adventurous today…”
The sight of a familiar panda-esque bear poking his head out around the corner of the doorway to the kitchen cut off your train of thought, your smile reappearing as you turned towards him.
“Oh, Guoba! Hello!”
The bear flinched at being spotted, hurrying back into the kitchen and leaving you staring at the spot he had just been in. You couldn’t ignore the clanging of metal that soon followed from inside the kitchen, before hearing a familiar voice exclaim, “They’re here?! Right now?!”, which in itself was followed by the restaurant’s head chef stumbling out of the kitchen, Guoba on her heels.
Xiangling looked a bit unkempt, dusting herself off before looking at you with a smile.
“Your Grace, it’s an honor!”
Like father, like daughter.
“Xiangling, are you…” You gave her a once-over, taking note of the various splatters of colorful spices and sauces decorating her from head-to-toe, like an abstract art-piece. “...okay?”
Her smile became sheepish as she followed your gaze, looking down at herself briefly before looking back up at you. “Aha… yeah, I was just… surprised you’re here. I wasn’t expecting it.”
“Oh… sorry for the surprise. I just wanted to get some lunch.”
Xiangling nodded. “Then I’ll get right on that! The usual?”
“Actually, something smells really good in the kitchen. What’re you cooking?”
“Uh, it’s… um… I’m kind of just working something new out, I…”
Xiangling averted her eyes, her gaze looking at everything but you before it ended up on Guoba, asking him for help. The bear lightly flinched, his own eyes widening as he babbled incoherently.
“Oh, Your Grace.”
The cool tone of Shenhe’s voice cut through the air, cutting off Guoba and almost forcing your attention to shift itself over to her. Her hands held a large wooden crate that leaned against her body, the contents no doubt too heavy for any mere mortal to lift despite the ease at which the woman in front of you was handling it, and you watched as she calmly looked at Xiangling.
“Here. I gathered everything you said you might need for your secret dishes.”
That made you look at Xiangling again. “Oooh, secret dishes?”
The head chef looked ready to pass out, before she quickly shook her head and calmed down.
“W-Well, you see…” Xiangling fidgeted before she sighed, only to perk up moments later as an idea entered her head. “Actually, I could use your help. Yaoyao recently told me that you told her about this thing called “Christmas”...? And she mentioned a few dishes that are supposed to be made for it, but I’m struggling to figure them out since all I’ve got are the names of the dishes.”
“You’re… trying to make Christmas dishes?”
Xiangling nodded. “Yep! Because, you know… it’s food from another world! Your world! I’d really like to learn how to make dishes from your home, Your Grace! I’m sure they’re super tasty!”
That made perfect sense to you.
“You don’t need to be nervous asking for help, Xiangling. I’d be glad to give you a hand.”
“Thank you, Your Grace!”
You ended up sitting down at one of the nearby tables — even though it wasn’t necessarily a quiet hour for business, one table quickly became cleared up once you needed it — after your order was made with Xiangling right by your side, the chef eagerly listening as you told her all about some of the more common Christmas dishes that came to your mind between bites of your lunch. You tried your best to explain the dishes as much as you could, sparing no detail.
The variety was wide, from baked ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, candied sweet potatoes… even if you never personally had some of the dishes you listed out, you still named them and described what you had heard they were like.
“Oh, and there’s usually a roasted turkey.”
Xiangling blinked, an interested glimmer in her eyes. “Turkey?”
“Yeah, it’s… a kind of bird. I don’t think Teyvat has anything quite like them, though… oh!” You raised your utensils up, pointing at Xiangling. “There’s this one dish called a “Turducken” that some people have, where you stuff a chicken into a duck, then stuff that duck into a turkey.”
“So it’s a… three-bird roast?”
“Yep!”
“That sounds interesting… and I could do the chicken and duck part, but without a turkey…”
“I think some people use a goose instead of a turkey.” You lightly tapped your chin with your utensils. “Even in my world, turkeys are only available and easy to obtain in certain areas.”
Xiangling thought for a moment, before a smile returned to her face and she nodded.
“Alright, I think I can do that… no, I definitely can do that! I’ll make the best Christmas dishes ever! I can’t wait to try them myself! Thank you so much for all of your help, Your Grace!”
“It’s no problem.” You laid your utensils down on your empty dish, wiping your mouth off with a napkin before you stood up. “I just hope you allow me to taste-test them when you’re done.”
Xiangling let out a slight laugh, looking away nervously. “Y-Yeah, of course you’ll be able to!”
You gave Shenhe a word of thanks as she collected your empty lunch dishes, and gave Chef Mao and Xiangling a hearty wave goodbye as you left, only making it past the neighboring shop before a horde of people rushed by you. You glanced over your shoulder to see them all queuing up at the restaurant, and sighed from knowing that you were the sole reason for the lunch rush.
Xiangling loudly exhaled the moment you were out of sight, her whole body relaxing at the same time. Guoba copied her movements, before smiling up at the young girl and babbling briefly.
“Shenhe!” Xiangling’s cheeks puffed out a bit as she looked up at the tall woman. “Please be more careful! I’m lucky I was able to get some advice out of it and that Their Grace didn’t catch onto the plan, but it would’ve been super bad if They found out! It would’ve ruined the surprise!”
Shehne blinked. “...ah, my apologies, but I did state that your new dishes are a secret, didn’t I?”
“You’re not supposed to say that it’s a secret out loud!”
“Ahem, Xiangling! Shenhe! I could use a little help here!”
The two ladies — and Guoba — looked over to see Chef Mao overwhelmed at the restaurant’s counter. They could hear most of the customers asking for “what the Divine Creator ordered”.
“Sorry, dad! We’ll be right on it!”
Xiangling and Guoba hurried back into the kitchen, the clanging of metal starting up again as they began to prep food to serve, and Shenhe returned to the dining area to clean the tables so that some of the customers would have a place to sit when dining on the day’s “popular dish”.
Chef Mao sighed. “...and this is why I make sure to order extra ingredients.”
- - - - -
Even with many pairs of eyes staring at you for almost the entire time you were passing by, walking around Liyue Harbor was usually a peaceful and pleasant experience; the stares you received from the locals were mostly of awe, and they never tried to get into your actual space, instead always keeping a respectful distance that allowed your walk to go without a hindrance.
But those were just the behaviors of the normal folk.
Your vessels were of a completely different sort.
“Your Grace…!”
You had been strolling near the docks, admiring the ships out at sea, only to look in front of you to see Xinyan — who had called out to you — and Yun Jin coming to a stop before you. The two had to take a minute to catch their breath, Xinyan even having to place her hands on her knees.
“Xinyan? Yun Jin?” You looked between the two performers with a concerned frown on your lips, your eyebrows furrowed. “Are you two alright? Why were you running? Is something wrong…?”
The rocker stood up straight with a smile on her face, shaking her hands out as she shook her head. “It’s nothing bad, Your Grace. Whew, I just finished up a real blazin’ performance, so-”
“Halt!”
Your head swiveled in the direction of the shout, seeing the two girls follow suit from the corner of your eye, just to see a couple of Millelith soldiers with gazes solely focused on Xinyan. They came to a stop next to you and the performers, not having to catch their breath like the latter.
The rocker frowned. “Shoot.”
The two soldiers stared Xinyan down, one tapping his polearm on the ground. “Miss Xinyan, you have been charged with multiple fire code violations. You can’t just keep running away from us.”
“The only thing that got burned was the stage I built myself…”
“That’s not an excuse. Someone still could have gotten hurt.”
“Oh, okay… that makes sense.” You smiled at Xinyan. “You were running from the law, huh?”
The sound of your voice, your tone a bit amused, made the soldiers finally take notice of your presence, and the way they were taken aback to realize that it was you made your smile grow just a little bit more. Their eyes went wide, and they seemed to lose any and all strength in their stances — if only for a moment before they corrected themselves, their faces now a light pink.
“Ack- the Divine Creator?”
The soldiers fumbled with their weapons before bowing to you.
“Forgive us for not acknowledging you, Your Grace. It was rude of us!”
“It’s not a big deal, guys. You two are just doing your jobs, focusing on handling crime-”
Your attention briefly shifted itself back to Xinyan, who was clearly trying to tell you something through just her gaze and body posture. Her head made wide turns as she looked between you and the Millelith soldiers, the sparkle in her eyes conveying a plea as dramatic as a rock opera.
“BUT…! You can leave Xinyan to me.”
The rocker pumped a fist at your words, smiling wide once you received her signal.
“I’m sure you have more important matters that take precedence over this situation? I can make sure that Xinyan receives a punishment befitting her fire code violations. Consider it dealt with.”
The soldiers blinked a few times, before glancing at each other.
“Is… is that allowed?”
“It’s the Divine Creator. They should be able to handle it… right?”
They looked back at you after a quiet moment of deliberation amongst themselves, giving you a nod in affirmation. “Very well. We shall leave this matter in your capable hands, Your Grace.”
You continued to smile as you watched the soldiers hesitantly leave, casting glances over their shoulders at you before they disappeared out of your sight, before you looked at the performers.
“...I’m surprised that that worked. I didn’t think they’d accept that I have any authority for this.”
“But it’s a good thing it did!” Xinyan smiled. “Thanks for helping me out, Your Grace!”
Yun Jin hummed as her head tilted. “What kind of punishment would you even give Xinyan?”
You thought for a moment, putting a finger on your chin, before you smiled again.
“Eternal banishment?”
“Aw, shucks.” Xinyan continued to smile brightly, even as faux disappointment laced itself into her voice and a small chuckle escaped her lips. “Ain’t that just a bit too harsh, Your Grace?”
You snorted, rolling your eyes before focusing on the rocker again. “I suppose so. Just be more careful, okay? I doubt you’d actually end up hurting someone during a performance, but still.”
“Since you’re the one saying to, Your Grace…”
You shared another small laugh with Xinyan before noticing Yun Jin perk up, her eyes widening as if she had just had a sudden thought, and you found her red eyes looking right into your eyes.
“Oh, Your Grace, if you have the time, we actually require some of your help-”
“Well, now, what’s with all the commotion here?”
With the suddenness of a cheap indie jumpscare, a familiar figure popped up from between your little trio, springing onto her feet with her usual smile plastered on her face. The question of when she had snuck so close was wholly forgotten as Xinyan, Yun Jin, and you reacted appropriately.
“Wha- Hu Tao!” You clutched a hand to your chest. “Are you trying to give us all heart attacks?”
“Oh, no, no no! It’s far too early for you three!” The unwavering smile of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor director did little too soothe you, especially when she winked. “But… if you’re ever feeling unwell, Your Grace, I hope you’ll choose our humble business to make your exit a smooth one!”
“Director Hu, I highly doubt Their Grace will require our services anytime in the near future.”
“Hehe, you can never know~!”
The director was, of course, accompanied by the parlor’s consultant. His golden gaze moved from his boss to you, a hint of fondness softening the stoic expression displayed on his face.
“Zhongli!” You smiled at the sight of the consultant, Yun Jin and Xinyan greeting him with a bow and a wave respectively. “Am I to assume you two are currently on another advertising kick?”
“Yep, yep!” Hu Tao nodded. “New clients are always guaranteed, but we still must make sure all potential clients know exactly where all their farewell needs will be dealt with the proper respect.”
You hummed before looking at Zhongli. “And how many future clients have you two convinced?”
“The director… managed to get plenty of attention towards our business.”
Hu Tao playfully laughed. “Hey now, only time will tell how many clients take up our offer.”
You snorted and shook your head. “You… are certainly a handful, Hu Tao.”
“Mmm-hmm! But enough about me! What’s been going on with you three? While passing by, I couldn’t help but notice that you three all seemed to be having quite an interesting time together.”
“Just saving Xinyan from the Millelith, I suppose- oh!” You swiveled on your heel to face Yun Jin once more. “Right, you were asking for my help with something? What do you need from me?”
Yun Jin perked up again, seeming to remember she was about to request something before the shock of the funeral parlor’s staff arrival interrupted her, and nodded. “That’s right, Your Grace. I was just going to ask you about… I believe it’s called “Christmas” music? Yaoyao told us about it recently, and we were interested in learning more about it. We hoped that you’d help with that.”
“Huh? Oh, yeah!” Xinyan sported a brief look of confusion on her face before she also nodded, a smile appearing on her lips. “It sounds mighty interesting, Your Grace! I’d love to learn enough to perform music from your world! I’m sure there're plenty of rockin’ tunes you could tell us about.”
It took you a moment to process what they had said.
“You guys… want to learn about Christmas music?”
“Oooh!” Hu Tao leaned over your shoulder. “Music from Their Grace’s world? Count me in!”
Your gaze moved between the three ladies — the rocker, the opera singer, and the poet — who all stared back at you with interested gazes, before it flickered over to Zhongli, whose demeanor was more alert than it usually was around you… which you honestly should have expected; that he of all people would be interested in learning more about you in any capacity was no surprise.
“Uh… I guess I can teach you guys the songs I know? But don’t expect me to write down any of the melodies or anything. I have no skills in musical notation, especially if it’s just from memory.”
Xinyan waved her hand in dismissal. “You can just sing them for us, Your Grace.”
“Wha- wait, what? Me, sing?”
“To hear the Divine Creator sing…” Zhongli mused to himself, arms crossed with a finger held up to his chin. “...that would be quite the honor. It would make Glaze Lilies full-bloom, no doubt.”
You let out a weak laugh. “I-I’m not too sure about that…”
“Aw, come on, come on!” Hu Tao grabbed onto your shoulder, leaning in even closer, her face inches from your own. “Some people would find the chance to hear you sing worthy to die for!”
You took in a sharp inhale as you practically felt the hopes and expectations emitting from the four people around you, and eventually let out a long sigh, your shoulders coming to a slump.
“...fine, but how about we all go somewhere… not so public first?”
- - - - -
The two blue-haired boys in front of you each had a different expression on their face, one of which was a look of concern — though he was clearly trying to keep himself cool at the same time — while the other was fighting to hide the subtle hints of a smirk creeping onto his lips.
Your own face was a perfect display of confusion. “I… I’m sorry? What is this about?”
“Your Grace, I’ve heard rumors of a… a “Christmas” demon! But I’m unfortunately without any knowledge on what type of fiend it may be. I’m going to require your assistance to exorcise it.”
You stared at the young exorcist in front of you for a few seconds before looking to the second son of the Feiyun Commerce Guild, catching him hiding his laughter and disguising a snort that escaped as a cough with a closed fist over his mouth, and you slowly furrowed your eyebrows.
…that explains it.
“Well-” You looked at Chongyun again. “-the only Christmas “demon” I know of is “Krampus”.”
Chongyun raised a hand to his chin. “Such a sinister name… please, can you tell me everything you know about it? I must know as much as I can about the fiend in order to be able to stop it.”
“It kind of depends on who you ask, but, basically, Krampus is a demon who punishes naughty children around the time Christmas is celebrated. You know… the kind of children who cause a lot of trouble for other people, who misbehave and don’t play nice, who lie for no good reason.”
You glanced at Xingqiu, who had gone still with an almost worried smile at your expression.
“He’s covered in dark hair, has horns and hooves and fangs, and a long pointed tongue — oh, and he carries around chains, I think? Sometimes with bells. The punishments he doles out on bad children are stuff like swatting them on the butts with branches… or snatching them away in a basket to who-knows-where. To drown them or eat them… or something along those lines.”
“That… that’s horrible!” Chongyun appeared to actually get a bit heated as you spoke, his hands clenching into tight fists in front of his chest. “I must make sure to stop it before it hurts anyone!”
“Whoa there, Chongyun. Calm down and have a popsicle, ‘kay?” You let your lips curve up into a smile, and put a hand on the exorcist’s shoulder. “Krampus sure is a horrible guy and all… but he’s also fictional; just a character that parents tell their children about to make them behave, to teach them lessons about being nice and stuff. He’s not actually real — well, not that I know of, anyway — and, even if he was, he wouldn’t be anywhere in Teyvat. He’d be stuck in my world.”
Chongyun’s breathing was heavy, his face already flushed, but he managed to take one of his popsicles out and bite into it to calm himself. “Ugh, Your Grace… you could’ve started with that.”
“I know, I’m sorry. I won’t do it again.” You let go of Chongyun’s shoulder. “But how’d you even hear about Krampus? I don’t think I’ve told anyone about him before right now with you two.”
“Xingqiu told me about it.”
The guilty party put his hands up in defense as you looked at him. “H-Hey, I was just having a little fun. I honestly had no idea that there was actually a demon associated with Christmas.”
“An unlucky guess then, huh?” You paused for a moment. “...but how’d you even hear about Christmas? Did Yaoyao tell you about it too? It seems like the talk of the harbor nowadays…”
That innocent line of questioning had a greater chilling effect than his popsicle, it seemed, as Chongyun froze at the moment. Xingqiu stepped in and quickly pushed his friend aside, your hand leaving the exorcist’s shoulder to linger in the air. “She did inform us of it, yes. It sounds like a quaint holiday, so it makes sense that a child such as herself would want to tell everyone she knows about it. I admit, it has even perked my interest too, from everything I’ve been told.”
“...huh, that’s nice. I’m glad everyone seems to be enjoying the concept.”
There was something off about all this, but not in a bad way, so you brushed it off for now.
Xingqiu nodded as he continued to smile at you happily. “But now that that’s settled, we should get going. I’m sure you’ve got a busy schedule, Your Grace. We wouldn’t want to hold you up.”
Chongyun blinked, coming back to reality. “Ah, wait-”
“Tsk, Chongyun, you’re still all red. You should have another popsicle.”
The exorcist didn’t get a chance to speak again before Xingqiu stuffed another tasteless frozen treat into his mouth, the latter then hurriedly pushing his flustered friend away down the street.
“It was pleasant to speak with you, Your Grace!”
The two boys soon disappeared into the distance, leaving you standing there alone.
“Uh… bye, I guess?”
- - - - -
Another day, another surprise.
You blinked a few times, making sure that the lady you were looking at was actually there. You didn’t exactly have a history of having hallucinations, but everything had been… bizarre this last week or so, and it wouldn’t hurt you to just check that you were still all there up in your noggin.
“Lady Ningguang?”
“Your Grace, what a pleasant surprise.”
The Tianquan was calm, politely greeting you with a soft smile on her lips, a smile reserved for you and you alone. Her being was a living display of high-class status, the epitome of luxury…
…and she was currently just hanging out at the docks.
You were not someone who could criticize her for it, though; for some people, it was odd for you to be hanging around Liyue Harbor’s docks so casually, as no one really expected to see one of the gods they worshiped watching the ships or examining the goods of incoming, docked ships.
“Uh… so, what’re you doing here? Taking in the ocean breeze?”
Ningguang chuckled. “I simply have business to discuss with Beidou. It’s nothing of concern, but is important enough that I have decided to come see her myself as soon as she arrives.”
“Wait, the Alcor is docking soon?” You perked up, your gaze glancing between the water and Ninguang, who looked at the water herself. “Wow, my timing’s great! Mind if I wait with you?”
“I’d see it as an honor, Your Grace.”
You got into position beside Ningguang, leaning forward slightly as you looked out at the ships sailing across the nearby waters. The operation at the harbor was always so smooth, orderly, and satisfying — you were embarrassed to admit how much time you had spent just lingering around the docks whenever you visited Liyue, being a bystander to the comings and goings of the ships and the people working here. This time, however, you were trying to focus on spotting the Alcor among the other seacraft, assuming its distinct design would stand out among them.
The moment was quiet, aside from the waves and workers, until Ningguang spoke again.
“Your Grace, I’m planning to do a bit of decorating around the Jade Chamber.”
“Oh?”
“I was thinking about adding a tree.”
You paused for a few seconds, before slowly looking at Ningguang. “A… tree?”
“Yes, a tree. Would you have any suggestions for the type?”
Wow.
You suddenly forgot about every tree you have ever known about.
“Ah, hmm… well, it’s your Jade Chamber. You should choose whichever tree you prefer. I know you’ve got good taste, and will be able to fit anything you choose into your amazing aesthetics.”
“I should choose, you say…? Very well.”
You soon settled back into a comfortable silence, continuing to wait on the docks with subdued excitement pumping through your veins, before finally catching the sight of the Alcor making its way over to the docks. It took a while for the ship to actually dock, having to navigate around the multiple others nearby, but the moment that it had, Ningguang and you made your way over to it.
You passed by some of the crew members unloading various types of cargo, before seeing the captain of the ship walk down the gangplank, who smiled when she saw you and the Tianquan.
“The Tianquan AND Their Grace are here to greet me? Something serious must be up, huh?”
“Oh, no, nothing like that!” You smiled. “I just got lucky to be here as you got back.”
“Haha, you flatter me, Your Grace. I’d typically consider myself the lucky one.”
Ningguang shook her head just slightly, her expression more reserved than yours. “Although it’s not of any major concern, I do have something to discuss with you, Captain Beidou. Shall we?”
“Huh, alright.”
Beidou gave you a nod as she walked off with Ningguang to talk, the two women leaving you on your own. You found yourself curious about what they could be talking about, but figured it would be rude to try and eavesdrop or force yourself into the conversation; that, and your attention was finding itself quickly caught by something — or, rather, someone — else that you noticed nearby.
“Kazuha!”
The lips of the wandering samurai turned up into a smile after he heard you call out to him, your form practically bouncing over to him. His eyes followed your movements as he turned to you.
“Greetings, Your Grace.” He gave you a polite nod. “You appear to be in good spirits.”
You waved your hand to the side, before letting it fall to your side in a loose fist. “Aw, I’m always happy to see you. It’s probably impossible to not be; actually, no, it definitely is impossible.”
Kazuha let out a soft chuckle, his shoulders bouncing with the tiniest movements. “Your words today are as warm as the mid-afternoon sun, Your Grace. I’m glad. How have you been lately?”
“Mmm… normal, I guess. Though it feels like something fishy is going on around the harbor.”
“Oh…?”
You held back a snicker. “Get it? Fishy? But, really, I feel like something’s up.”
“That’s troubling. I can lend you my assistance if you desire?”
“Huh? Oh, no!” You waved your hands in front of yourself, your eyes widening just a bit as you continued to smile. “I’m sure it’s nothing big, and, besides, I wouldn’t want to bog down our time together with worries. I don’t see you often enough since you’re always on the road, traveling.”
“Ah, of course. If you’d like to hear it, I’ve come up with some new poetry since we last met.”
“Oooh! Then go ahead and bless my ears, Kazuha.”
The hustle and bustle of the docks faded away as you chatted with Kazuha, intently listening to each and every one of the poetic words falling from his mouth. You even tried coming up with a few poems yourself, but it was difficult to do it on the fly; the praise Kazuha gave your attempts kept you from being discouraged, though some of the metaphors you tried to use felt a lot more poetic in your mind than when you said them out loud. You were in the middle of thinking up how to describe a certain line in your next masterpiece when you realized a lot of time had passed.
You felt a presence approach from the side, and looked up to see Beidou standing there.
Ningguang was nowhere to be found when you gave your surroundings a quick once-over, her elegant presence absent from the nearby crowds, and that meant she must have left long ago.
The captain looked between you and Kazuha, her smile apologetic when her gaze stopped on you. “Sorry, Your Grace, but I have something to talk about with Kazuha. Hope you don’t mind.”
“Hmm? Oh, well… that’s fine. I should probably be going anyhow. See you around!”
You bid the two farewell, seeing them respond in kind, and started walking away from them.
Beidou kept her eye on you until you were completely gone, and she turned to Kazuha.
“Okay, so, there’s this thing called “Christmas”...”
- - - - -
“Please accept my offering, o’ great adeptus, and bless me with your presence this quiet night.”
“...you don’t have to do that, Your Grace.”
The evening air was cool, gentle breezes rolling in from the distance and brushing against you where you stood on the highest balcony in Wangshu Inn. The lanterns from inside and hanging by the doorway cast a warm glow outwards, giving the balcony a cozy atmosphere despite how it faced the dark landscapes of Bishui Plain, the warm hues of the land hidden within shadows.
Your hands held tightly onto a plate of Almond Tofu — expertly and lovingly crafted by your own hands, you were proud to admit — as you smiled at the familiar figure that appeared before you, the sight of the inn’s resident adeptus never failing to bring you joy. The dim lighting made it hard to tell, as well as his usual distant demeanor, but you swore that he was looking a little flustered.
“Aww, why not? Everyone else does it.”
Xiao crossed his arms over his chest. “But you’re not “everyone else”.”
“Hmph.” You pouted, extending your arms out to present the Almond Tofu to him. “Here, you can at least take this. I made it special, just for you. I worked hard to learn the recipe, from the best.”
He stared down at the plate in your hands for a few seconds, before he slowly uncrossed his arms and carefully took it from you. The adeptus continued to stare at the food you prepared while you stared at him, the faintest hint of a blush on his cheeks — you internally cursed to yourself about the lack of decent lighting in this moment — before he finally took the first bite.
You spent just a moment watching Xiao carefully savor your expert culinary craftsmanship, and then looked out at the water and shadowed silhouettes of the nearby mountains, leaning yourself against the wooden railing of the balcony. The wood was cold and rough within your tight grip.
“...you know, everyone’s been acting really strange lately. Not in a bad way, but still.”
Your lips parted as you sighed, adjusting your arms to have your elbows on the railing.
“Even the other adepti are being weird. I tried to visit Cloud Retainer in Liyue Harbor, but Shuyu told me that she was really busy, even though she’s normally willing to take a break to chat with me whenever I drop by. Don’t even ask me how the other two are doing, I spent a good amount of time looking around their domains but wasn’t able to find them. It just feels like… like I’m being left out of something; like everyone is hiding something from me. Something that feels… major.”
You turned your head to look at Xiao. “Would you have any idea why?”
The adeptus briefly paused, his gaze meeting yours after having seemingly moved to you while you were talking, before wiping off the almond tofu around his mouth with the back of his hand.
“I…”
He hesitated, his eyes shifting away from you.

“As one of the Divine Creator’s vessels, you HAVE to come.” Hu Tao had a wide smile on her lips, her hands clenched together into tight fists in front of her chest. “Besides, it’ll be totally fun!”
The adeptus looked uncertain, his gaze shifting to the man accompanying the funeral director.
Zhongli met Xiao’s eyes with a soft smile, giving him a nod as well. “Indeed. Their Grace seems to also be quite fond of this “Christmas” business. It would be a shame if you did not participate.”
“Yeah, yeah!” Hu Tao nodded frantically, bouncing into the space between the adeptus and her consultant to direct the attention back to herself. “Come on…! It’ll only be the other vessels and adepti there. There’s no need to be all cautious and standoffish about it, so what do you say…?”
Xiao still looked conflicted, his eyebrows furrowed, before soon letting out a sigh.
“...very well. For the Divine Creator’s sake.”
Hu Tao clapped her hands. “Yay!”
“Just make sure to keep it a secret from Their Grace, if you end up encountering Them before then.” Zhongli looked pleased with Xiao’s answer, although he was much calmer than his boss was. “It’s supposed to be a “surprise party”, so try to avoid spoiling its existence at all costs.”
The adeptus nodded, crossing his arms.
“Got it.”
- - -
You couldn’t say for sure what exactly was going on inside Xiao’s head, but the expression on his face made it look like he was having some kind of internal war with himself, a struggle with the proverbial “rock and a hard place” that left him not looking forward to picking either option he was presented with. This was probably the most readable his feelings had ever been to anyone.
“Uh… hey, you don’t have to answer, Xiao.”
The adeptus appeared to snap back to reality, blinking as he looked at you.
You slightly smiled as you pushed yourself off of the railing. “I can kind of assume what’s going on. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going crazy and seeing something out of nothing.”
Xiao’s lips parted, the softest exhale leaving them. “...I can’t lie to you, Your Grace.”
“Then just don’t say anything.”
You winked at him, your tongue sticking out from your lips. “And you should be busy eating the Almond Tofu I made you, anyways. It’s rude to speak while your mouth’s full, don’tcha know?”
Xiao briefly glanced back down at the plate in his hands, before he nodded.
“...okay.”
- - - - -
“Your presence is requested at the Jade Chamber.”
That was what you were told, but you weren’t able to think of any important reason of why that might be. You had always made sure to greatly distance yourself to the extreme from anything major regarding Liyue’s leadership — no political decision-making or “ruling with an iron fist” for you, even if some folks acted like your word was the single most important thing in all of Teyvat.
The Yuheng and the general secretary both knew that about you very well.
“Is… it for something important? Or does Ningguang just want to, like… play chess with me?”
Ganyu and Keqing shared a brief look with each other, before the former looked back at you, a bit of a nervous frown now on her lips. “It’s… nothing bad, but you should go see for yourself.”
“Here.” Keqing gestured for you to follow after her. “We can escort you.”
You looked down at Keqing’s hand for just a moment, before everything clicked.
The stranger-than-usual behavior of everyone lately… the random-but-very-frequent mentions of Christmas… and now you being requested to such a place as the Jade Chamber practically out of the blue. You even thought about how you couldn’t find a single one of the vessels around the harbor today, despite how you walked through the entire city front-to-back and back-to-front and side-to-side, checking each and every nook and cranny with the hope of finding someone.
You smiled.
“Oh, no, that’s okay. I can get us there quicker.”
You grabbed Keqing’s outstretched hand, the warm hue of her face matching Ganyu’s after you had grabbed the half-qilin’s hand too. Your grip was gentle but firm as you stood between them.
“You- Your Grace…”
“H-Hey, wait-!”
Within seconds, you heard the familiar teleporting sound resonate inside your head before you and your two current companions were warped up onto the platform of the Jade Chamber…
…only to hear a muffled thud accompanying a sudden cold, wet sensation that landed on you.
It felt like a worse version of getting an ice cube put down the back of your shirt.
The powdery substance slid off of the upper-half of your face after you blinked your eyes a few times, which revealed to you that what had just covered you was a thick blanket of snow, and it had also trapped Keqing and Ganyu, turning you three into vaguely self-shaped snow mounds.
You were completely befuddled at this situation.
Snow? At this time of year, in this part of Liyue, localized entirely within the Jade Chamber?
You attempted to shift around, eventually managing to catch sight of the cause of the surprise snowfall. There was a strange machine that almost resembled a snowblower from your world, water being poured into one end and snow coming out of an upwards-chute-like exit located on the other end. The snow coming out now fell softly to the ground, unlike what had just hit you.
The one who created the device crossed her arms, pushing her glasses up slightly.
“Hmph. If the Divine Creator wishes for it to snow, then one shall make it snow.”
“Wow, Aunty Cloud Retainer! You’re amazing!”
Yaoyao looked up at the adeptus with awe, clapping her hands with a bright smile.
You continued to look around — as much as you could in your new form as a snowman — and saw several others lingering about the area, all of which had been mysteriously missing today.
The musicians and performers were all gathered near a small stage that had been set up, doing last-minute checks and practice from what you could tell. You took a few moments to take in the sight of it before you snapped out of your thoughts and focused to hear them through the snow.
Gaming shook his hands out, Man Chai following his lead and shaking his whole body out. “Aha, I’ve been practicing for days and everything, but I’m still getting so nervous all of a sudden…”
“Pre-show jitters, huh?” Xinyan stood on the stage, fiddling with her guitar as she looked down at the Wushou dancer with a slight, unsure smile. “Can’t help but have them myself right now too.”
Yun Jin walked across the stage, her head tilted up to check the decorations hanging up. “Their Grace is so kind, there shouldn’t be any reason to worry… but I can understand the feeling.”
“Hey, hey, just don’t get so nervous you have a heart attack.” Hu Tao had the only smile near the stage free of hesitation. “The business would be nice, but it would be way too inconvenient now.”
There was another section where a buffet had been laid out, Xiangling hovering over the spread with her gaze flickering around to all the various dishes, almost like she was looking for anything that needed any last-minute adjustments made. Guoba stood on a chair next to the chef, putting his paws on the edge of the table as he looked between the dishes and at her with a happy aura.
“I had to make a few guesses here and there about the recipes, even with the advice from Their Grace…” Xiangling furrowed her brows before letting out a sigh. “I hope They like everything.”
“I’m sure They will.” Madame Ping had a gentle smile on her face as she glanced at the food the young chef had prepared. “It all looks and smells absolutely wonderful, there’s no doubt about it.”
Beidou nodded and chuckled. “Now, this is what I call a feast! You outdid yourself, Xiangling!”
“It all sure looks… interesting.”
Yanfei tilted her head, her eyes moving down along the long buffet table as she spoke.
“I… I’m having trouble making out what some of these dishes are, though.”
Xiangling smiled at the reassurances. “Oh, don’t worry. I can explain everything, if you’d like.”
Your attention, however, was soon captured by the main centerpiece of the whole occasion: a beautiful Sandbearer tree decorated with lanterns of all colors, all organized to create the most breathtaking sight you had seen all day. There were actually a lot of lanterns hanging around all over, now that you were conscious of their presence; it almost resembled Lantern Rite, in a way.
Well, a Lantern Rite that was being held on a very miniature scale.
“This is very pleasant.” Kazuha looked up at the tree, his hand over his chest. “I never imagined that a “Christmas tree” would look like this. It brings to the mind a kaleidoscope of Crystalflies.”
Ningguang had her arms crossed, also standing nearby to admire the tree she had put up and decorated to a degree befitting her luxurious aesthetics. “I was informed that the tree was to be decorated in lights and ornaments. I believe Their Grace will be quite pleased with the result.”
“Their Grace has some intriguing traditions from Their world.” Zhongli placed a hand to his chin in thought, his eyes briefly breaking away from the tree. “No wonder They spoke of it so highly.”
By this point, you were getting cold. Way too cold. So cold you felt stiff.
You shook the snow off as you took in a deep breath.
“Okay, that was an experience…”
“Your Grace?!”
You felt two dozen pairs of eyes land on your form as everyone’s head snapped towards your direction, the sound of your voice might as well having been a siren to their ears — your arrival had been expected to be normal, after taking the long route instead of the shortcut you chose to take instead, with some semblance of warning. You smiled bashfully, pulling a now-unconscious Ganyu and Kequing out of their snow piles since you were still holding their hands all this time.
“Hehe… guess I’m not the only one surprised at this surprise party, then?”
- - - - -
Today was the day you discovered how good Guoba and Man Chai made for living Warmies, your once-shivering and soaked body able to warm up and dry off after only a short but sweet cuddle session with them. The party couldn’t start until you were comfortable, after all… as well as until Keqing and Ganyu finally regained consciousness and also got themselves warmed up.
…and the start was unforgettable.
“Behold, Your Grace-”
Truly unforgettable.
“-for one has donned the appearance of a Christmas hero spoken of in tales from your home.”
There, standing in front of you, were some of the adepti, and although the three ladies and Xiao were in their human forms at the party, the other two men were not. That included Moon Carver, the one who had spoken to you first when they approached, who proudly stood in front of you in his stag form… with a glowing red nose — likely made possible by adepti magic, you assumed.
You briefly recalled telling Yaoyao and Qiqi about some stories related to Christmas, which, of course, included “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”. Turning slightly away for a moment, you raised a hand to cover the smile slowly growing on your lips as you tried to calm yourself down.
“Yeaaah…” Your voice wavered, you being unable to stop your eyes glancing to and from Moon Carver. “Christmas would’ve been cancelled if not for Rudolph. He’s a… a true hero, alright…”
The snort that slipped from your lips went unnoticed by Moon Carver, the adeptus preening at your approval. The planned festivities luckily continued on before you actually started laughing.
- - - - -
They had only had about a week to prepare, but the musical performance was probably one of the, if not the, best thing you had ever witnessed in your life; most everyone had gathered into a crowd in front of the stage as Xinyan, Hu Tao, and Gaming took their places in the spotlight. You were almost too enamoured with the show to notice how Yun Jin occasionally snuck a couple of glances at you from her spot in the crowd next to you, a smile growing on her lips at your own.
The musicians had taken the songs that you told — or, rather, sang to — them and used them as inspiration to come up with a brand-new Christmas song, complete with Xinyan’s rock guitar and Hu Tao’s iconic rapping. Gaming had even created a special routine to go along with all of it.
“Bravo!” You clapped your hands frantically after the performance finished, a whoop escaping your lips as you cheered. “That was… incredible! I loved it! I’ve never seen anything like it!”
The sense of relief that left the performers’ bodies was noticeable, their forms relaxing as your praise finally casted away all of the tension that had plagued them from their pre-show nerves.
“I’m glad, Your Grace.” Yun Jin smiled. “We only had so much time, but we worked really hard.”
“I can tell.” Your cheeks hurt a little from how much you were smiling, and you tilted your head. “I hope I get to see it again someday. That was way too good to be just a one-time performance.”
Gaming let out a chuckle, a sense of weariness in his tone. “I’d be happy to dance for you again, Your Grace. Just… I still need a moment to calm down from the excitement of the first time.”
“Oh-ho! But I’m ready for round two right now!” Hu Tao pumped her fists as she snickered. “I knew Their Grace couldn’t resist my excellent rhyming skills! I could do this all day, any day!”
Xinyan adjusted her grip on her guitar as she looked back at the stage they performed on. “Uh, I think we may have gone a little overboard with the pyrotechnics, though… even for me, heh…”
You followed the rocker’s gaze to the stage, seeing that it… kind of didn’t exist anymore, with all that remained being a stage-shaped pile of charred wood. Given that three Pyro users had used it for their performance, where they had turned up the heat to give you the show of a lifetime, you should have expected this, especially considering Xinyan’s track record with this sort of thing.
You couldn’t help but let out a small laugh.
“Yeah, okay, I think one performance is enough for today, then.”
- - - - -
“Wow, I didn’t know you had such an appetite, Your Grace.”
Xiangling’s eyes were wide as she looked at your plate, which was piled high with servings from the buffet. There was a little of everything, as you wanted to try all of the different dishes that had been prepared by the chef; some looked traditional, and very close to what you had described to her about, while others clearly had creative choices made during their creation. There were also some traditional Liyue dishes being offered — considering how many people were present at the party, Xiangling really made sure that there would be enough food for everyone to have their fill.
You held your plate carefully in front of you. “I can’t help it. Everything looks so good.”
It appeared that many others also held the same opinion, almost everyone filling up their plates with various dishes from the buffet. There were plenty of options; everyone could eat something.
“What is this…?” Ganyu observed a red jam-like substance in one of the bowls, tapping it gently with the small spoon that was provided for folks to scoop it. “It smells like some kind of fruit…?”
“Ah, that’s Valberry sauce!” Xiangling piped up and moved over to the half-qilin. “Their Grace mentioned a dish made with this type of berry called a “Cranberry”, so I had to find a similar substitute. You should be able to eat it, Miss Ganyu. It doesn’t contain any animal products.”
“What I’m more interested in is that!” Beidou pointed to what-could-be-considered the main dish of the whole spread, her eye and smile both wide. “Now that looks like something real special.”
Xiangling smiled as she made her way over to the captain. “That’s a three-bird roast called a “gooducken”. It’s a chicken inside of a duck inside of a goose. I had to do a lot to get it right.”
Beidou let out a long hum. “Oooh, that sounds impressive! I’ll have a big portion, then!”
“I should try something new too…” Keqing looked between her plate and the buffet, a small frown coming to her face. “...but all that I’ve got on my plate is Golden Shrimp Balls so far…”
“Ah! Chongyun! Qiqi! The cold dishes are over here.” Xiangling directed the two over to one side of the buffet table, waving them over while gesturing to the dishes. “There’s plenty for you to try.”
“Here, I’ll help!” Yaoyao scooped food onto Qiqi’s plate. “This looks good. Make sure to eat it all!”
“Okay.”
Chongyun held his plate away from Xingqiu, his eyes shifting between his friend and the food he was putting onto his plate. “Please don’t try to sneak anything spicy onto my plate this time.”
“Why, I would never.” Xingqiu chuckled, a hand held up in defense. “What a random accusation.”
“Your Grace…” Baizhu eyed your plate as you took a seat next to him, his gaze scanning all of the generous portions you served yourself. “I’m not entirely knowledgeable on how much a god can eat, but make sure not to overstuff yourself. I can’t imagine it’d be good for your stomach.”
“I’ll try, but I can’t make any promises!”
And after stuffing yourself full of Xiangling’s cooking, it felt like a happy mistake in the end.

The party was going well so far; after the performance and initial serving of food, it was nice to see everyone mingling together and having fun. You scanned the area, taking in the groups that the characters formed amongst themselves, before refocusing your attention back on what you were doing: being busy at the “Winter Weather Device” Cloud Retainer built for the occasion.
And snow was actually a lot more pleasant when you weren’t buried under a heavy blanket of it.
“Shenhe, if I ever get into a snowball fight, I’m recruiting you to my team.”
The woman stared at you, seriously. “I would slay all your foes if need be, Your Grace.”
“Aha… snowball fights aren’t that serious, but thanks.”
You continued to pat down the snow you held into a snowball, the cold flakes a higher-quality than what nature ever made. The water used to make them apparently came from the adepti abodes, which, of course, was why the snow was so soft and powdery, like from a fairytale.
“I’m…” Yanfei stood by you, also crafting a snowball in her hands — which shook slightly from the cold steeping into her fingers — at your insistence. “...not sure I see the appeal in this.”
“The appeal is the glory of victory over your foes.”
“...right.”
Yanfei left the snowball she had made in the growing pile by your feet. You watched the younger partygoers play in the snow, stomping around and making vaguely snowman-like structures out of the cold flakes, before you felt someone approach you from behind, and turned to face them.
“Yelan! Hey! I didn’t notice you were here, are you having fun?”
Yelan let out a soft exhale, the warm light of the nearby stone lanterns illuminating her face from below as she faintly smiled. “It’s hard not to have a good time when you’re around, Your Grace.”
“D’aw, you’re just flattering me. I know how you work.”
You snorted as Yelan chuckled at your comment, before a thought struck you.
“Oh! I just realized I haven’t seen you around for a while! Where’ve you been this entire time?”
“Places.”
“Doing what?”
“Things.”
You stared at Yelan for a few seconds, her gaze amused as she stared back.
“...okay, then. Keep your secrets.”
You played with the snowball in your hands, rolling it back and forth between your palms as you briefly pondered all of the mysterious — and probably legally-dubious — things Yelan must have been up to this past week and a half, before you were snapped out of your thoughts by the sight of a wrapped box being held in front of your face. The hand holding it was Yelan’s, the shiny bow adorning the tiny rectangular container bending in the gentle evening breeze that was blowing by.
The box was pushed into one of your hands, the snowball now held in the other.
“Here. For you. I hear giving gifts is a custom for this little holiday we’re celebrating, hm?”
“Where’d you hear about… no, wait, never mind. I’m not gonna get an answer, am I?”
“You know me too well, Your Grace.” Yelan chuckled again, her eyes narrowing ever so slightly as she smiled at you. “If you were anyone else, that’d be a problem. But if it’s you, it’s just fine.”
You had never felt so lucky to be yourself as you did right now.
“I suppose I’ll let you rejoin the rest of the party now. Everyone worked so very hard to put this whole thing together just for you, I shouldn’t keep you from rewarding them with your attention.”
Yelan turned away from you, glancing over her shoulder as she walked away.
“I’ll be watching. May we meet again soon, Your Grace.”
- - - - -
Despite all of the fun you were having, the party sadly couldn’t go on forever.
The daylight soon blended into night, and with it, the guests started to take their leave. The first to go were the youngest of the characters — Qiqi left with Baizhu and Changsheng, Yaoyao with Cloud Retainer, Madame Ping and most of the other adepti. Yaoyao had even started to doze off at that point, requiring her to be carried by Cloud Retainer. Shenhe also left with the latter group.
Then went the next youngest: Xingqiu, Chongyun, Xiangling, Hu Tao, Yun Jin, Gaming… before they left, you made sure to give both Guoba and Man Chai another extra tight hug for the road.
Those who had work the next day soon followed. Yanfei, Keqing, and Ganyu all gave you polite goodbyes as they left, and Yelan vanished into the dark as easily as she had appeared to you.
Beidou left after saying goodbye to you and Ningguang, who simply headed inside of the Jade Chamber after bidding you a good night. Kazhua left with the pirate caption, his farewell another one of his poems that you were unfortunately too tired to think of one of your own in response to.
The harbor seemed to glow below the Jade Chamber as the city’s lanterns lit up in the absence of the sun. You fiddled with the gift from Yelan in your hands, still wrapped up and unopened.
“Your Grace, would I be correct in saying the surprise party was a success?”
You brought your gaze back up from Liyue Harbor and turned to see Zhongli approaching to stand beside you, his arms politely folded behind his back and his eyes focused on your face.
You smiled, giving him a nod. “Oh, yeah! It was so much fun! And I’m definitely going to figure out how to thank everyone for it, especially Yaoyao and Qiqi since they planned the whole thing!”
His lips turned up into a soft smile. “I’m very pleased to hear you say that, Your Grace.”
Your gaze shifted from the man standing next to you to the roof of the Jade Chamber, and you waved at Xiao to come join you and Zhongli. The legendary boy-adeptus had kept his distance from most others during the party, opting to watch from the rooftops as an onlooker rather than an active participant in it, though you were just happy that he was near all the festive energy.
With a sudden burst of green and black wisps, Xiao was at your side.
You looked at the adeptus with an enthused smile. “Sooo… did you enjoy yourself, Xiao?”
“...as long as the party made you happy, then I’m happy, Your Grace.”
You clutched a hand over your heart. “Xiao… you’re too sweet.”
This felt like the perfect ending to a perfect celebration, and as you looked between the adeptus and the Archon, you only felt all warm and fuzzy — it was almost too much for you. Almost.
“Hey, I don’t feel like sleeping just yet. Let’s go for a walk around the harbor together.”
“We’d be honored to, Your Grace.”

heyyy congratulations on you 400 mark, deserved
i think you'd write this well so, id add to my previous ask +
joshua office sex, but a lil bit of power dynamics, like he's suited up and op's bare?
I decided to make Joshua our boss in this one with a bit of power dynamic hope you enjoy :D
You sit at your desk, trying to focus on your work as the tension in the air becomes almost unbearable. Joshua, your boss, sits across from you, his eyes fixed on you with a look of disapproval.
"You're behind on your work again," he says coldly, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife.
You can't help but wonder why he's sitting at his desk instead of in his office. It's not like him to be this close to you, especially when he's been in a bad mood all day. He leans back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest as he continues to scrutinize you.
"You're not paying attention," he snaps, his eyes narrowing. "Do I need to spell everything out for you?"
You flinch at his harsh tone, feeling a mix of irritation and anxiety.
"I'm trying to pay attention," you reply, trying to keep your voice steady. "But it's hard when you're breathing down my neck like this."
Joshua raises an eyebrow at your comment, clearly not amused.
"You're getting mouthy," he says, his voice low and dangerous. "I don't appreciate your attitude."
He stands up from his chair and walks over to your desk, towering over you as he looks down at you with a smirk. You feel your heartbeat quicken as he looms over you, his presence intimidating and domineering.
"I've had enough of your insolence," he growls, leaning in closer to you. "You need to learn your place."
He reaches out and grabs your chin, forcing you to look up at him.
"You're just a little employee," he says, his grip tightening as he speaks. "And I'm your boss. You do as I say, and you do it without question."
In a moment of anger and defiance, you slap his hand away from your face, glaring up at him.
"I'm not some puppet for you to control," you snap, your voice trembling with a mix of anger and fear.
Joshua's eyes flash with anger as you slap his hand away, and for a moment, you think he's going to hit you back. But instead, he grabs your wrists and pins them against the desk, leaning in close to your face.
"You just made a big mistake," he hisses, his face inches from yours.
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it?" you retort, trying to keep your voice from wavering.
You can feel the adrenaline coursing through your veins as you struggle against his grip, your body pressed against the desk beneath him. Joshua smirks at your defiant words, his eyes gleaming with a mix of anger and excitement.
"You're really pushing my buttons, aren't you?" he says, his grip on your wrists tightening. "You have no idea what I'm capable of when I'm angry."
"I don't care," you spit out, your words laced with defiance. "You can't intimidate me into submission."
With a snarl, Joshua pulls you up from your chair and drags you into his office, slamming the door shut behind him.
He shoves you against the wall, pinning you there with his body as he towers over you. With a click, Joshua locks the door, ensuring that no one will interrupt them. He leans in close to you, his breath hot against your ear as he whispers in a low voice.
"You're all mine now, little one."
"And I'm going to make you pay for your insolence," he continues, his hands trailing down your body as he speaks.
He grabs your hips and pins you more firmly against the wall, his body pressed against yours as he looks down at you with a dangerous glint in his eyes.
"You think you can just punish me whenever you feel like it?" you say, trying to sound defiant despite the heat pooling in your core.
Joshua chuckles darkly, his hands moving up to cup your face as he forces you to look at him.
"Oh, I know I can," he says, his voice low and commanding. "And you're going to take it like the good girl you are."
"Say it," he growls, his fingers digging into your skin. "Say 'stop' and I'll let you go."
He takes your silence as a challenge, and with a possessive growl, he crashes his lips against yours in a rough, demanding kiss. In your mind, you're screaming at yourself for kissing him back. It's crazy, it's wrong, but there's something about the way he dominates you that makes your body respond in ways you can't control.
As you kiss him back, your mind is a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. You're angry at him, furious at his arrogance and his domineering behavior. But there's also a part of you that craves his touch, that revels in the way he makes you feel small and powerless.
His hands roam over your body, exploring every inch of you as he deepens the kiss, his tongue invading your mouth as he claims you as his own. You moan into the kiss, your body betraying your anger as it melts into his touch. He pulls back for a moment, a smirk on his face as he sees the desire in your eyes.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" he says, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "Despite your protests, you can't resist me."
"Shut up," you manage to gasp out, your voice barely above a whisper.
Despite your words, you can feel your body arching into his touch, craving more of his dominance and control.
With a rough movement, Joshua lifts you up into his arms and carries you over to his desk. He swipes everything off the surface in one swift motion, sending papers and pens scattering across the floor. He sets you down on the desk, positioning you so that you're sitting on the edge, facing him. As you grab onto his tie, pulling him closer to you, he grins, his eyes dark with desire.
"Oh, you're a feisty one, aren't you?" he says, his hands resting on your thighs as he stands between your legs.
"I hate you," you whisper, even as your body betrays you and presses closer to his.
Joshua laughs at your words, his hands tightening on your thighs as he leans in closer.
"I know you do," he says, his voice low and seductive. "But your body doesn't seem to agree."
He runs his hands up your thighs, his touch sending shivers through your body.
"Your body is practically begging for me," he continues, his fingers trailing higher and higher until they're teasing the edge of your panties.
"Do you want me to take you here, right now?" he asks, his voice rough with desire. "Right on my desk, where anyone could walk in and see us?"
"Yes," you say, the word tumbling out of your mouth before you can stop it.
You feel a mix of shame and excitement at the thought of being taken so publicly, so wantonly. A wicked grin spreads across Joshua's face as he hears your answer.
"Good girl," he says, his fingers tracing the outline of your panties. "You're learning to be honest with yourself, at least."
He leans in, his lips trailing down your neck as he whispers in your ear.
"I'm going to make you mine, right here and now. And you're going to beg for it."
With a swift motion, Joshua bends you over the desk, your chest pressed against the cool surface as he positions you exactly how he wants you. The sound of his belt buckle being undone sends a shiver down your spine, anticipation building within you. You can feel his hands on your hips, his touch rough and possessive as he pulls your panties down your legs.
"You're mine," he growls, his breath hot against your skin. "And I'm going to make sure you remember that."
You hear the sound of a condom wrapper being torn open, and a moment later, you feel him press against your entrance.
"You're going to take all of me," he says, his voice filled with raw need. "And you're going to scream my name."
Joshua takes his time, teasing you mercilessly as he rubs himself against you. He knows exactly how to make you desperate, how to push your limits until you're begging for him to take you.
"Please," you gasp out, your body aching with need. "Please, just take me already."
"Beg for it," he says, his voice firm. "Beg for me like a good girl, to take you, to make you mine."
"Please, Joshua," you whimper, your body trembling with desire. "I need you. I need you inside me. Please, take me. I'll do anything."
Joshua finally gives in to your pleas, sliding into you in one smooth motion. He groans as he feels your tightness around him, his hands gripping your hips tightly as he begins to move.
Joshua sets a brutal pace, his thrusts hard and fast as he claims you on his desk. He grunts with each movement, his hands leaving bruises on your hips as he pounds into you relentlessly. Yes, he's being deliberately loud, his moans and grunts echoing through the room as he makes sure everyone outside can hear what's happening.
He wants them to know that you're his, that he's claiming you right here and now. With each thrust, he hits that sweet spot inside you, sending waves of pleasure coursing through your body. He leans over you, his chest pressed against your back as he whispers filthy words in your ear.
"You feel so good," he growls, his hot breath on your neck. "So tight and perfect around me. You were made for me."
Joshua's moans grow louder and more desperate, his body trembling with pleasure as he nears his release.
"I'm going to come," he grunts, his fingers digging into your hips as he drives into you harder and faster. "I'm going to fill you up and make you mine, forever."
With a final, powerful thrust, Joshua reaches his peak, his body tensing as he spills into the condom. He lets out a low groan, his face buried in your shoulder as he rides out the waves of pleasure. For a moment, he just holds you there, his body still pressed against yours as he catches his breath.
Then, he slowly pulls out of you, discarding the condom in a nearby trash can. As he straightens up, Joshua can see the unsatisfied look on your face. He smirks, running a hand through his messy hair.
"Looks like I still have some work to do," he says, his eyes glinting with mischief.
Joshua spins you around and lifts you up onto the desk, your legs spread wide for him.
He drops to his knees in front of you, his eyes dark with hunger as he takes in the sight of you.
"I'm going to make you cum so hard you forget your own name," he growls, before diving in between your legs.
His tongue laps at your sensitive flesh, tracing every inch of you with skillful precision.
He knows exactly what you like, exactly where to touch and how hard to press. He alternates between teasing your clit and plunging his tongue deep inside you, driving you closer and closer to the edge with each passing moment. As he works you closer to your climax, he slides a finger into you, curling it just right to hit that sweet spot.
He can feel your body trembling beneath him, your moans growing louder and more desperate as he brings you closer and closer to your release. Joshua adds another finger, scissoring them inside you as he continues to work your clit with his tongue. He can feel you getting close, your walls fluttering around his fingers as your body starts to tense up.
"That's it, baby," he murmurs against your skin. "Let go for me. I want to taste you."
He redoubles his efforts, his fingers pumping in and out of you relentlessly as he sucks hard on your clit.
Your body shudders and convulses as you finally reach your peak, waves of pleasure crashing over you as you come undone. Joshua doesn't stop, continuing to work you through your orgasm with his mouth and fingers until you're a trembling, boneless mess on his desk. As you come down from your high, Joshua slowly pulls back, licking his lips and grinning up at you.
"Delicious," he says, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
He stands up and hands you your pants, helping you to slide them back on as your legs are still a bit shaky.
"You okay, baby?" he asks, his tone softer now as he tucks a strand of hair behind your ear.
You take a deep breath, still feeling dazed and floaty from your orgasm.
"Yeah," you manage to croak out, your voice hoarse. "I'm good."
"Good," Joshua says, a smirk on his face. "Now, get back to work. I have a lot of paperwork to do, and you're distracting me."

Begging For It
Your werewolf boyfriend completely loses his mind at the peak of his rut. He needs to be restrained to keep from hurting his soft human mate. That means he's on his back on the bed in his shifted form, with his hands bound and pressed underneath him. Moaning your name because you're a tease and you just can't help it. You love hearing all the things he says when he's desperate, telling you how much he loves you and will never leave you and will you please let him cum inside you?
Squirming and whining as his cock throbs and leaks all over his stomach. Whimpering when you finally straddle him and guide his cock to your pussy. If he thrusts too hard and gets too mean then you pull away and let his cock slide out, much to his frustration. You hover there and let him do all the work. Without his hands, he can't even guide himself back into you and he has to settle for pathetically humping his cock against your thighs until you decide to humor him.
Seeing him like this turns you on even more and the scent of your sweet arousal drives him crazy, making him buck with frustration. It's torment to smell how wet you are, for you to be right there and yet just out of reach. He knows not to snap at you, though. His sharp teeth grind down on each other instead, locking the growl in his throat.
When in a rut he can't cum unless he knots you, and only you get to decide if and when he has deserved it. You sit on his face and let him lick you. He's sloppy and uncoordinated, using only half his brain, but his desperation makes up for it. You've learned from experience that he'll lick your pussy for hours if that's what it takes. He bites the inside of your thigh and you scold him with a little swat. He growls dangerously at you. There's only so much he can take after all.
Finally, you scoot back down and take him inside you. You still can't get over how much precum there is. It gets everywhere and makes taking him so much easier, dripping out as your walls clamp around his cock. Still, he's almost too thick. The force of his thrusts nearly knocks you off balance and you have put your focus on staying on top of him. Both of you are taken by surprise when one of the handcuffs breaks. That's never happened before. Those things are made to contain werewolves. You look at your boyfriend, and his eyes are growing wild and dark.
"Shit. Wait—"
But there's not a chance he's listening. You've had your fun, making him so hard he can barely stand it. Now he's going to use you. It's easy for him to rip the other cuff away and fall on you like you're the last piece of meat in a desolate world. He'd like to make you beg for him the same way, but he can barely string two thoughts together. All he knows is that you're not leaving this bed till the sun comes up.

Ok, so expanding on this post for @heartofmortis, meet my newest oc, Nymeria Targaryen
- youngest daughter of Rhaegar Targaryen and Elia Martell, born in 283 AC, like a month or so before the sack of KL
- conceived as soon as possible after Aegon, just before the maesters declared Elia unable to have more children and Rhaegar subsequently ran off with Lyanna
- named Nymeria because Elia knew Rhaegar would’ve wanted her named Visenya, but Rhaegar ran off to have a third child with the Northern girl before he could even be informed of this pregnancy, so Elia decided to name her daughter after the legendary warrior Princess of Dorne (call it rebellion if you will — this pregnancy so soon after Aegon’s nearly killed her, and he decides he needs a daughter with the Stark girl? Fine. Elia will name her daughter from her culture, not his. Let him get his Visenya elsewhere.)
- Smuggled by her wetnurse through siege tunnels out to where Rhaella and Viserys were evacuating to Dragonstone. in the chaos after Rhaella’s death, only Viserys and Daenerys are smuggled off of Dragonstone. Stannis arrives to find a terrified nursemaid and a screaming infant less than a year old.
- Raised by Stannis Baratheon, who heard how his brother laughed at the two dead children of Elia, and refused to hand over Nymeria — Stannis is many things, but he isn’t a child-murderer yet
- She’s his ward, and technically also a hostage to keep Dorne from rising up over Elia and her children’s death — Nymeria is the last link to Elia Dorne has.
- Uses Martell name when introducing herself. Tries to distance herself from her Targaryen lineage — was raised on stories of all of the bad parts of the Targaryens as her bedtime stories and history lessons, and doesn’t like them at all.
- Oberyn and Doran work it out with Stannis so that Nymeria can be visited — under supervision, and mostly Oberyn as Doran is busier ruling Dorne — on Dragonstone by her mother’s family, and when she’s a bit older, she often spends a few months each year in Dorne. (You can pry reluctant friends Oberyn and Stannis out of my cold dead hands.)
- Robert tries HARD to get Nym betrothed to Jon — in his mind, Ned’s bastard son is more than deserving of a former princess, and what better way to keep the Targaryen spawn from rising against him than marrying her off to the son of his best friend? To his endless frustration, this goes nowhere — both Stannis and the Martells (who are actually responsible for Nym’s marriage prospects) refuse the idea — Stannis because Jon’s a bastard, the Martells because they very much do not like Robert — and Ned also refuses with no real explanation (“Jon is free to choose his own wife, Robert” when really it’s because Jon is Nym’s half brother through Rhaegar)
- Likes to help out Stannis’ maester and takes an interest in healing — both Stannis and Oberyn agree that this is a useful skill, and let her learn all she can.
- Rides out with Stannis when he goes to war; Melisandre keeps trying to convince Stannis to sacrifice her, and after Renly dies, Davos convinces Nymeria to leave, for her own safety.
- She originally intends to go south to Dorne, but comes across Catelyn and Brienne first. Upon hearing how Renly died and recognizing the account of Melisandre’s work, she realizes Dorne would be the first place Stannis would look for her — whatever Melisandre so desperately wanted Nym sacrificed for cannot be good — and she decides to go with Catelyn and Brienne to Robb’s camp instead. You can never have too many medics in a war.
- Our boy is WEAK to the pretty healers, weak I tell you, and this one is Westerosi, highborn (a princess, technically— rightful heir to the Iron Throne) and she’s a politically advantageous (the princes of Dorne would surely be on his side if he married their niece) match to boot??? He doesn’t stand a chance.

I went into this movie completely blind apart from some YT shorts and boy HOWDY it has been a while since I have bawled so hard at a movie.
As it is, I think the movie is great! The worldbuilding was incredibly creative imo, the obstacles Ellian and her parents had to face were some of the coolest concepts I've seen. And after realizing that the theme of broken family trauma was the backdrop to the entire movie made each obstacle so much cooler.
The tunnel where the intention/emotion of their message changes whether the soundwave will help or harm them? The quicksand that only occurs in darkness?? The metaphors are metaphoring and I am gladly eating it UP
And the songs were pretty decent, hit or miss for a lot of them, but nothing wholly terrible for the most part (except that One Song, I agree with you there. I made it 10 seconds before I fastforwarded). What I loved in particular was "What About Me?" All throughout the movie I was hoping and praying that Ellian got to have an emotional breakdown because she deserved it!! And the song that accompanied it was pretty good too! The lyrics and the composition of the song really did it for me, and Rachel Zegler's delivery of it was pretty good imo. Defo will be listening to it in the future.
Honestly what really got me was Ellian's line "If you could fall out of love with each other, then you could fall out of love with me!" That plus the parents actively apologizing really did me in (though I would have preferred that scene to have been fully dialogue, but I digress)
Before I learned about the gripes people have with some of the VAs or one of the producers (ahem) most of the complaints I heard was about how the parents didn't get back together at the end, like a perfect happily ever after was in the cards for them?? After all that was in the movie?? I thought it was made pretty clear that the relationship Solon and Ellsmere had wasn't the healthiest (Ellian saying "You two are always like this!" during the quicksand scene was the real kicker for me), and the point of the movie is to show that unhealthy family dynamics have an incredibly negative impact on the children in said family, so doing whatever you can to alleviate those impacts will always be the best course of impact, even if that does mean separation or divorce, which is a good thing to show in children's media imo
I probably have more thoughts knocking up here in my noggin but it is almost 3am and I am Tired :")
Spellbound is NOT a bad movie, y'all just mean 😒
I hate John Lasseter as much as the next person but he just helped produce the movie, he didn't MAKE it himself. Also, this is a creative movie with an original idea, unlike Toy Story which is a Raggedy Ann knock off. Quit calling Spellbound a knock off of Disney musicals, just because it's an animated musical! It's NOT a knock off and it's not bad either. It's a beautiful story about how broken families can cause trauma for children and I can't expect so much heart and beauty from Disney nowadays. Disney went downhill after Elemental...
The songs were pretty cute, the one song was a little stupid but the majority of the songs were good. It wasn't as amazing as The Wild Robot, but it was still pretty cute. Like, not everything has to be amazing to be good! It had a beautiful story with a lot of symbolism to family trauma and growing up, plus the designs were really creative as well. It took place in a fantasy world and the designs they did for the creatures were really cute and creative. I also love that they tried their best to show diversity, despite it being a fantasy world (like different skin colors and everything, and no characters are stereotyped). I also like how they showed different body types and none of the characters are sexualized in any way. Apparently Princess Ellian, the main character, was supposed to be 15, and I thought she was 11 or 12 at first. To be honest, I like that they made her look younger for her age, it makes me feel better about myself (I'm an early bloomer who stopped aging LOL). It's not unrealistic expectations like how Disney designs some of the princesses.
The story is great, the music is okay, and I think this movie deserves a little better. Also, I don't wanna completely hate on Rachel Zegler either. Yeah, she seems stuck up and even though I agree with some things she said about that old Snow white movie, I also think she went to far and was disrespectful. I don't think she's ugly or talentless like a lot of other people say about her, she just doesn't fit for the role of Snow White. Even if you're outraged over her disrespecting an outdated Disney movie from your childhood or whatever, she is talented and pretty. Don't be too mean! I'm not really a fan of Rachel Zegler, I'm just saying that she did very good in this movie!
Anyway, tell me what you think! If you disagree, please let me know! If you're gonna hate on it before watching Spellbound, watch it and then tell me what you think!
#overall 8/10 movie#i enjoyed it#i cried to it#which is always a good sign in my book#so yeah this movie is now in my list of comfort movies#spellbound#spellbound netflix#spellbound 2024
