Happy birthday! Could you continue the naruto daughter of the homage series?
a continuation of 1 2 3 4 5 6
Naruto doesn’t feel comfortable going back to the tower until the Suna kids have collected their scroll and arrived. Gaara had killed nine people – three teams total – in that time. None of them Konoha, thankfully, but that’s mostly due to her team and Itachi engaging in some creative luring and misdirection. The Konoha Twelve can be redirected outright by one of her clones, but the other leaf genin that she doesn’t know as well have to be lured rather than instructed. Getting their own scroll is more an afterthought than anything else.
They probably should have thinned the herd a little more. Now they’re having preliminary matches, which is just another chance for Gaara to kill one of her shinobi.
Great.
Is that Orochimaru?” Sakura hisses, looking up at the spectator box. “Isn’t he a missing nin?”
Naruto flickers her glance upward, but she’d already known he was attending. What does surprise her are the two people by his side. “Yeah, but he’s also the Otokage, and one sort of trumps the other. Dad gave up on that one a long time ago, and Sarutobi still likes him besides. That’s not the interesting part.”
Jiraiya sends intelligence back to the village frequently enough, but she’s never thought she’d seen Tsunade back in the village.
~
Orochimaru is already bored.
He barely attends chunin exams when they’re in his own village. But Kabuto had given him an interesting report, and he hasn’t seen Minato in something like fifteen years, so he figured it couldn’t hurt. Besides, Anko is proctoring a portion of the exam, and she always complains that he doesn’t visit.
Jiraiya found out, somehow, which was bad enough, but then the traitor told Tsunade, and the two idiots insisted on coming with him for some reason.
Probably because they were worried Minato might try to arrest him, which is frankly insulting. He can and will kick that kid’s ass if he has to.
Hm. Maybe that’s what they’re intending to prevent, on second thought.
Minato’s daughter has her father’s coloring and her mother’s bone structure.
“I’m surprised she’s made it this far,” Jiraiya murmurs.
Kushina throws him an irritated glance, but the white knuckled grip she has on her armrests seems to imply she agrees with him. Minato doesn’t look at either of them, not that he’s looked at Kushina at all. There’s really no point in them playing the part of happy couple in front of foreign ninja if they can’t commit to the deception.
“She’s got a solid stance,” Tsunade says. “Don’t need working chakra coils for that, I suppose.”
Minato’s lips thin, but he keeps his silence.
“Gaara of Suna versus Rock Lee!” shouts Hayate, pausing to cough halfway through.
Orochimaru leans forward now that something interesting is finally happening.
It’s not as immediate of a bloodbath as he thought it’d be. Lee holds out, demonstrating a mastery of taijutsu truly can make up for an awful lot. He fiddles with the weights on his wrist, but then he glances up. It seems as if he’s looking at his sensei, who’s shouting encouragement, but standing just to the left of them is Team Seven.
Naruto’s lips tug down at the side and she shakes her head just slightly, the movements so small thar Orochimaru wouldn’t notice them if he wasn’t focusing on her.
Lee’s shoulders droop even as he backflips to avoid another deadly arm of sand. He’s not even close to exhausted, and he’s lasted longer against Gaara than anyone else has, but he raises his arm and says, “I surrender.”
Everyone is stunned, an air of disbelief surrounding them.
Gaara acts like he hasn’t heard, more sand barreling for Lee. Hayate moves to interfere, but he’s a lot slower than that sand is.
There’s a smudge of yellow across the arena, there and gone, taking Lee with it.
Orochimaru turns, expecting to see Minato’s seat empty, but he’s still there, eyebrows raised.
He frowns, looking back down, and Naruto is back out of the arena, putting Lee back on his feet. “It seems you didn’t hear him!” she shouts, grin so wide her eyes are slits.
“I didn’t know you taught her the Flash,” Jiraiya says.
Kushina stares between her husband and her daughter, eyebrows pushed together.
“Yes,” Minato says stiffly, “well.”
Interesting.
It appears Kabuto’s report was accurate.

Troubling Travels | deer! Creator reader
Note: I’m kinda bad at writing fight scenes. Or…are there no fight scenes at all? :)
For @idkfitememate Hope you like it :D
╔⏤⏤⏤╝❀╚⏤⏤⏤╗
Cyno cursed like his life depended on it. Tighnari was going to kill him if he ever found out about this. That was, if he made it out alive, first.
It had started out like any other day. You were happily gathering leaves and sticks for your secret little hoard(that wasn’t very secret, Tighnari knew about everything) of weapons (that were not actually weapons) to be used on Dottore if he ever thought of stepping foot anywhere near Collei or Tighnari or any Sumeru character ever. Minus the sages, they were also going to be victims of your mighty stick-hoard if you ever saw them. (Yes, you were peaceful but some things could not be forgiven.)
Tighnari had given you the nickname “ورقة الشجر الصغيرة”, little leaf, a few weeks after you had persistently stuck around even after you had healed from the treasure hoarder attack. And it stuck surprisingly well. Now, as of today, you were unofficially-but officially in the hearts of all Gandharva Ville residents—“منظم الأوراق الرسمي وجامع الأوراق الرسمي”, the official leaf organizer and collector. As a sort of celebration for your “promotion” Tighnari had asked Cyno to come visit during your “first ever official leaf collecting mission” in a letter he had sent a few weeks back. Indeed, Tighnari had planned to promote you for some time now. But it was hard keeping you distracted while they secretly set up a surprise party. But they managed to succeed in the end.
The entire village was decorated with various flower garlands(all given the green light by Tighnari) and tables were filled to the brim with tasty food for both humans and deer. People chatted animatedly with one another as they ate and danced. You were content to stand on the sidelines with Collei, eating a delicious salad while the forest rangers weaved you and their friends flower crowns. Seeing others happy made you happy.
The promotion party went well into the evening, with multiple excursions led by you to gather more fruit from the forest.(Tighnari was so proud that you remembered which fruits he told you were safe to eat and which were not) And when Cyno arrived with his ever neutral looking beautiful face, you were sure you were about to faint from happiness.
You had pranced up to him with a specially made flower bracelet just for him. Okay-YOU didn’t make it, Collei weaved it for you because trying to make a flower bracelet with hooves is hard. Sometimes, you missed your hands. But this form had its perks. Like the headpats you got and the wonderfully therapeutic back rubs when Tighnari brushed your fur for you. But you certainly deserved points for somehow communicating to your dear friend Collei that you wanted to make a bracelet for someone. The purple flowers probably helped.
Cyno looked down at your happy doe-face, or as happy as a deer could look with a deer-face. You were preening so much Cyno swore he saw sparkles emanating from you. You held the flower bracelet on the top of your fluffy head between the place where your antlers were starting to grow in. It was made of purple dahila’s and anemones, he noted before picking the bracelet up and sliding it onto his wrist.
“Thank you, little one. I promise to keep it safe.” Cyno said, slowly reaching out a cautious hand. Like Tighnari had taught him to do with stray cats and dogs. Sure, you were a deer, but it still counted, right?
In reply, you let out a giddy bleat and shoved your head underneath his calloused hand with vigor. Cyno felt his lips twitch into a smile. This wasn’t your first time meeting Cyno, but he was always so busy enforcing the law as General Mahamatra that he rarely had time to visit. So time spent with the general was special. He was happy to know you were doing well. Tighnari wrote about you in his letters frequently.
You nuzzled into his touch for a moment longer before backing away and prancing off into the festivities, stopping to look back at him with an expectant look.
Come join me!
Cyno paused before following after you. He wasn’t one for large parties but you looked so happy that he couldn’t decline. Besides, Tighnari and Collei were chilling out somewhere, so he could always go find them after hanging out with you in the core of the festivities. Maybe then he could pick up on the Genius Invocation TCG match he was having with Tighnari and Collei last time he was here. Oh, and maybe he could teach you how to play? Wouldn’t that be something.
It was nightfall now. Everyone was tuckered out from the party, fast asleep in their beds. Well, all except for two people and a deer.
“You don’t have to see me off. You should go get some rest for tomorrow.” Cyno said, adjusting the strap that held his canteen to his belt. Both you and Tighnari sighed at this.
“It’s not like we’re forcing ourselves to see you off. We want to do this. And there’s nothing you can do to change our minds.” Tighnari huffed as he crossed his arms.
You stomped your hoof in agreement. You chose to see Cyno off in the middle of the night, even though you knew you had things to clean up tomorrow. You knew how rarely you had one on one Cyno bonding time, and Cyno was one of your favorite characters in Sumeru. His bravery and strength in the heat of battle was something you saw as admirable.
Besides, you never knew when you would see Cyno next, or if he would be okay on a mission. His job was dangerous, and sometimes that made you worry. If only you could go with him…
Wait a second.
You COULD go with Cyno!
While you were connecting the dots in your head, Cyno had gotten fully ready to head off. He gave Tighnari a nod before turning his attention to you, who stood at the fox-eared male’s side with the same happy expression you had on that evening. Cyno felt his heart squeeze at the sight. He would, admittedly, miss you while he was gone. This next mission was going to be a long one.
So, he kneeled down and gave you a gentle pat on the head. You let out a bleat and shoved your head under his chin(making him bite his tongue on accident) in a makeshift hug. Now would have been a nice time to have hands. But you were never one to complain much. Cyno gave a small smile and rubbed your back before starting to pull away. It was time for him to leave.
With a final delightful scratch behind your large fluffy deer ears, Cyno stood and started to walk away.
Only, he wasn’t alone.
You followed after him with a happy pep in your trot.
Cyno paused. Tighnari tried not to laugh. You shimmered like you had never shimmered before.
Cyno sighed and shook his head before pointing to the ground and stating “stay.” in his best commanding voice. Internally, Cyno knew it was futile attempting to order a deer around, when it obviously wasn’t going to understand him. You stared at him innocently. Cyno took it as a sign to start walking again. Only for you to follow(again).
This repeated multiple times. (Tighnari almost burst a lung from laughter, exhaustion was clearly getting to the usually calm and collected fox ranger)
“I think they want to go with you, Cyno.” Tighnari finally said. Cyno stared at Tighnari.
“Yes. I don’t think I noticed.” He huffed. You let out another call and ran circles around Cyno’s legs with excitement, and Cyno felt his heart soften. It wasn’t that he didn’t want you to come with him, it was just that the desert was an incredibly dangerous place. Especially since you had no natural defenses. Not to mention your fur. You would bake like an egg on the sidewalk in the middle of a heatstroke in a matter of minutes. Cyno knew this, because Tighnari had the exact same problem. And he didn’t want to see you suffer.
Yet you seemed adamant about staying with him. Both could see that. Cyno didn’t know what to do. Should he find a way to keep you with Tighnari? Or let you follow him into the lonely desert?
Tighnari took Cyno’s silence as his cue to become the voice of reason. “I am not one for old tales, but it’s been said for hundreds of years that animals have an innate sense of danger. A sixth sense, even. Or sometimes called premonition. Whatever you want to call it, having a companion that can sense danger early on could be an invaluable asset to your missions, Cyno.” Cyno didn’t seem fully convinced. So Tighnari continued with a bit more seriousness than before. “Deer have around 297 million olfactory receptors, meaning their nose is better than any human’s or dog’s. Their eyes are also better than a human’s at night—and they detect movement faster than people, too. Deer can also hear high frequency sounds, and can move both ears in different directions at the same time. These assets are perfect for helping to track down thieves and rouges. And I’m positive you already know how intelligent little leaf is. Their level of understanding is basically unheard of.”
Cyno nodded, but his face was blank. “I know. But the desert is unforgiving to all. I’m just skeptical about how they might respond to the temperatures of the desert. I wouldn’t want them getting hurt if they can’t fight back.” You were after all, a deer. Sure, you had multiple advantages over Cyno in tracking abilities but you were still considered prey. It was a reasonable thought.
After all, how could they know that you were a human isekai’ed into a deer’s body?
But you were determined to go with Cyno. You rubbed your head into his legs pleadingly. As if to send the message that you would be alright.
Cyno instinctively ran his calloused hand through the fur on your neck, making you preen at the attention. You could tell he was standing on the edge of agreement. He just needed one last nudge.
“Let’s put it this way. I put the little leaf under your care and protection while in the desert so that you can help me record their reactions and adaptability in a different environment. They are, after all, an unknown species of deer. No deer recorded has natural markings like theirs in any document ever, so it’s imperative that we find out as much as we can about them so that we can learn more.” Tighnari reasoned, pointing to your lush furry coat that Cyno was carding through at that very moment. And he was correct. You did have a unique design. (Description below is optional)
Small splotches that looked almost like stars littered your neck and spine, with two small white diamond-like teardrops touching the corner of your eyes. Your eyes were more focused, like there was an actual thought going on inside your head instead of the soul devouring gaze a deer usually had. Your ears were fluffy and faded in an ombre fashion to an almost unnatural pitch black colour, as did your fluffy tail-except it faded to a snowy white. There was even a white four pointed star like the ones you see on a compass rose in the middle of your fluffy forehead.
Safe to say, you didn’t exactly look like a normal deer. “They could very well be the last of their kind, or they lost their parcel in some kind of accident before Collei and I found them. Whatever the case, we need more information to understand how we can help little leaf in the best way possible. Like putting protective laws up to keep them from harm.” Tighnari finished. And that seemed to convince Cyno immediately.
“Alright. I’ll bring them with me. And I swear on my life to keep them safe.” Cyno promised with a solemn nod. Tighnari huffed as he crossed his arms, smile barely hidden.
“You better. Now get going before I change my mind.” Tighnari snapped, making a ‘shoo’ motion with his hand. Cyno stood and gave another nod of respect before turning around and walking out of Gandharva Ville with you at his side. Just as you both walked out of earshot, and out of Tighnari’s sight, he murmured “Stay safe…” before turning around and heading for his hut. So that he could sleep his worries away.
And also because it was past midnight.
꘎♡━━━━━♡꘎
You watched silently as Cyno set up camp behind a large rock that would block out most of the piercing grains of sand flying in the wind. It has been six days since you set off with the general mahamatra into the endless desert. And night was starting to fall. Which meant possible bandit attacks or wild animal attacks. Or maybe a mix of both. It was hard to tell these things before they happened. Minus bandit attacks. Cyno eliminated any human trouble before you could even catch a glimpse of the ruffians.
The wind howled ferociously at both you and Cyno, who seemed unfazed at the sand trying to stab into his eyes and turn him blind. And yet you almost didn’t feel the screaming wind yourself. Probably because of your wonderous coat of fur. Hopefully it wouldn’t be a headache to brush out later. It would add to Cyno’s work, which was already a hassle itself. Curse your lack of hands(once again). You watched as the sun slowly set and the sands cooled before your eyes, giving you reprieve from the sweltering heat. You were just glad you hadn’t grown your winter coat yet. That would have been a nightmare.
The night rose, eclipsing the golden sky as Cyno finished setting up the tent. Yet something felt off. Like when you glance at a picture and then leave, only to return and realize something is different about it but you can’t tell what it is. It was an unsettling feeling in the back of your head that wouldn’t go away.
Cyno seemed to feel it as well, his gaze was dead set on the hills of sand. You stared out at the vast sea, ears perked and swiveling like satellites. But there was nothing odd that you could sense, only the rising wind. You sniffed at the air next. Immediately your nose was rushed with a million different scents, all leading to something different than the last. It had greatly confused you when you first awoke to so many new smells, but over time it became easier to sort them out. Now, your nose was a valuable tool.
And right now, the air crackled with the scent of rain.
You let out a sigh of both relief and disappointment before trotting through the tarp entrance of the tent. Cyno continued to stare at the dunes with an unnerving gaze before turning to follow you inside. But not before grabbing his pike and surveying the area protectively. Just to make sure.
The wind was so angry and wild that you were almost certain your ears were going to bleed out. The rain had arrived with the sandstorm an hour after Cyno had managed to set the camp tent up, meaning you were both lucky enough to not get absolutely clobbered by the bullet-like water droplets.
You could hear nothing but the persistent rain and the raging wind of the midnight storm.
And that meant you couldn’t hear the footsteps approaching with each clap of thunder.
But Cyno knew every trick in the book. Nothing would escape his senses. Not when he had someone important to protect with him. You blearily watched as he tightened his grip on his weapon from where he sat with your fuzzy head in his lap, drowsy from exhaustion. He gently lifted your head from his legs, trading them out for the second of two blankets he had packed for the journey.
Next thing you knew, Cyno was rushing out of the tent like it had been set on fire.
Your mind was hazy from what little sleep you had mustered, so his reaction didn’t fully compute in your brain for multiple minutes before you rushed to your shaky legs. Having four legs instead of two had certainly been a challenge at first, and still was when you weren’t focused or completely energized. So you couldn’t help but berate yourself silently as you wobbled like a drunkard ready to pass out before you made it to the tent flap.
Outside, Cyno was fighting three mercenaries dressed in red in the rain at once. All had sun kissed skin and brownish-black hair, but they used different weapons, meaning Cyno had to duel three different battles all at once. One used a spear, the second had a crossbow with odd smelling arrows, while the third held a metal axe so big you were convinced it better belonged with a mitachurl.
Cyno swung his pizza paddle polearm through the air like it was an extension of himself, blocking a heavy swing coming from the axe-wielder with the shaft of his weapon that glowed amber in the dark night. A whistle sounded through the air as an arrow shot through the sky, bringing its horribly odd scent with it.
You watched, mortified at the realization that Cyno might get hit with what you now realized was an arrow tipped in poison. Time seemed to slow as Cyno turned his head at the sound of the arrow whistling while simultaneously swinging at the axe-wielder and striking him in his chest, ripping through the man’s skin like it was butter. The large man crumpled to the sand. But that wasn’t the end. Just as the arrow was about to strike Cyno’s shoulder, he let out a growl and electro crackled through the air.
“Futile!”
Cyno lunged forward and snapped the arrow into a thousand tiny pieces before leaping at the crossbow user and kicking the weapon out of his hands.
The man let out a yelp that turned into a scream as large bolts of bright purple lightning wracked his body. Cyno was holding the man’s shoulder in an iron grip, using himself like a taser. The male let out a final wail before he slumped over, either dead or unconscious.
For a single second, all was silent.
Then, there was a war cry piercing the air. The third man, the one with the spear, had jumped from the top of a rock and was plummeting down to Cyno with murderous intent.
But Cyno was not fazed.
“Your sins weigh upon your soul!”
There was a sudden explosion of light around Cyno as his vision burned bright in the endless pitch black night. His body was swathed in glowing purple binds that circled and looped into large claw-like hands sharper than any dagger or sword. Runes in an ancient unknown language were burned into the glowing cloth that snaked around his arms. The headpiece glowed with the same runes as eyes, now open and uncovered, shone with golden light. An ominous had aura surrounded Cyno as he called for the divine spirit to indwell him. Now, that aura turned into furious electricity that snapped and swatted at its enemies.
The man with the spear screamed as an elongated electro arm of Pactsworn Pathclearer reached out and grabbed him from mid air. He tried to use his spear to pierce the hand that held him, but it merely broke into minuscule shards the moment it even grazed the claws. In retaliation, it’s grip tightened significantly before it flung the man to the ground, where his head hit a rock with a sickening crack.
And just like that, the battle was over. Three bodies laid in the sand, defeated. There were no more attackers left for Cyno to defeat.
Or at least, that’s what Cyno thought in the second he had let his guard down. Electro fizzling out around him.
You knew otherwise.
Ten more figures emerged from beyond the dunes.
But you were more worried about the sniper with poison tipped arrows and a bow who was aiming right for Cyno at that very moment.
With a bleat, you rushed up the cliff side faster than you had ever run before. Rain still pelleted you like knives as thunder rumbled in the sky high above you. But you continued to run.
The sniper drew the bowstring to the tip of his mouth.
You scrambled to the top of the cliff on shaky legs, making a mad dash for the archer who was so incredibly focused on aiming he didn’t even notice the sound of your pounding hooves as they kicked up sand. Your body hidden in the blackness of night. He would never see you coming.
Cyno stood below, head whipping around as he looked for you frantically. The moon was halfway to approaching midnight but it was already almost pitch black. The rain was no help, either.
The best thing Cyno could do right now is focus on the incoming targets. Their footsteps against the sand were in no way trying to be hidden, and the sickening feeling Cyno was sensing set him on edge.
Cyno’s mind was a flurry of different emotions, but if he wanted to stay alive long enough to look for you and complete his mission, he had to focus on the fight in front of him. So he readied his spear and crouched, gathering all the energy he could into his legs as the waited for the enemies to strike.
Just like Cyno expected, they lunged for him with weapons in hand in a consecutive attack. But Cyno was more than ready. After all, what kind of general mahamatra would he be if he couldn’t defeat ten people? Admittedly, he had never fought ten on one at the same time before and in almost total darkness while it stormed heavily. But there was a first time for everything, right?
The sniper smirked, homing in on his target with horrid mirth twinkling in his eyes. His comrades had surrounded Cyno in a circle, caging him in as he jumped from one fight to another. Though many were beaten and bruised, it did not matter if they fell. For they were merely a distraction so that he may make the shot that would end the wretched general mahamatra Cyno once and for all. His heart beat giddily in his ears as his fingers started to loosen their grip on the poison tipped arrow aimed right at Cyno’s heart.
Though it will not be beating for much longer his mind purred.
Pure thrill pulsed through his veins as he his fingers slowly slip from the bowstring. His heart beat spiked just as his fingers slid from the string, only to let out a mighty howl of pain as something crashed into his shoulder, sending him teetering on the cliff face, his right hand flailing and his toes grazed air. There was a snap as the bowstring thrummed against whatever crashed into him with such force. He let out a colourful string of curses when he realized his aim had been jarred into missing Cyno’s heart.
So when he looked down at the perpetrator:
he saw a deer.
His rage increased tenfold and he let out a furious yowl, gripping onto the creature’s neck as it rushed at him once again. It cried out as they both went careening off the edge of a tall cliff. But the man only smiled manically.
If he could not kill his target, he would take with him the life that tried to protect it. Even if it meant meeting his end.
“NO!”
There was a cry, but it was swept into the whistling wind.
There was a sharp pain in the back of his head.
Then, everything went dark.
Cyno huffed, glaring at the mercenaries with cold eyes as he tightened his grip on his polearm once again. Rain had somehow made it past his visor and onto his face, but he couldn’t care less.
He readied himself to fight once again when there was a loud scream echoing through the desert.
Only seconds after, an arrow shot through the air.
Slicing off Cyno’s bracelet of flowers.
There was another cry. But it was inhuman. Cyno whipped around, heart racing as his eyes caught sight of a man dragging you off of a cliff so high he knew there was likely no chance you were going to survive the fall alive.
“NO!” He screamed, rushing forward. Maybe he could catch you before you hit the ground. But it was futile. The ring of mercenaries would not let him leave.
His wrist felt horribly bare without the bracelet there to occupy it.
Cyno cursed like his life depended on it. Tighnari was going to kill him if he ever found out about this. That was, if he made it out alive, first.
You closed your teary eyes tight as you and the man’s body tumbled through the air. The wind screamed and thunder wailed, and for a split second you could hear nothing. Everything around you was surely passing in a blur.
This was going to hurt. A lot. If you even made it out alive. But what could you do to stay alive and keep the man from getting killed? You didn’t mean to push him off the cliff!
Time seemed to slow as your mind rushed to think of any possible solution. But only scraps of a plan formed.
Whatever!
There isn’t enough time to plan!
Do something before you both die!
So you opened your eyes and winged it.
You bunched your limbs close to your chest and then kicked them straight into the insane man’s chest, making him wheeze but also sending him crashing into a miraculously small ledge head first.
You were accidentally sent flying into the open mouth of a large cave from the force you had put into the kick. A searing pain ripped into your shoulder as you started to loose altitude and fall to the cave floor. A rock had sliced your shoulder open, leaving a blood stain on the rock and a small waterfall of blood trickling down your fur. You let out a cry of pain as you tumbled into the ground blanketed by a thin layer of sand.
You were beaten, but you were alive! Hooray!
The world outside of the cave raged with almost killer intent as the storm grew worse and lightning started to strike as the wind screamed. It was best to stay in the cave until it cooled over, you wisely decided.
You lifted your head at the sound of rumbling from further within the cave, making your ears swivel and your nose twitch. If there was something dangerous deeper in the cave you would rather take your chances with the storm outside.
But all you could smell was the faint scent of dried herbs and burnt fire wood. Which wasn’t very normal for a cave at all. You knew it would be a better idea to stay near the mouth of the cave, but you were injured and your fur was uncomfortably wet and all you wanted at the moment was something to warm yourself up while you waited for the storm to end so that you could look for Cyno.
So with a great heave, you lifted yourself onto your four wobbly legs and adventured deeper into the cave. Your shoulder throbbed with spite as you moved, but you ignored it and continued on.
You limped through a long tunnel filled with iron ore and an unlit stove ,as well as crystals of all colours, making you silently awe at the sight as you passed into a wide cavern filled with luscious green trees and red vultures that hopped branch to branch. Rocks mysteriously started to float in the air the further you walked into the great cavern. As did a bright white light.
By the time you had reached the far end of the cavern, the light was almost blinding. You squinted to make out anything but the tunnel branching deeper into the earth would not yet reveal its secrets to you.
There was another rumble.
The scent of dried herbs grew stronger the longer you stood in front of the glowing tunnel, too nervous to move. A distant feeling of familiarity tickled the back of your mind as your eyes darted around the area nervously. The vultures seemed ignorant as the ground shook, so surely there was no danger nearby. You took a shaky hoof-step back as the walls started to tremble as well. Your ears went flat as you glanced back to the tunnel from whence you came.
Should you leave?
But you could still hear the roar of thunder outside, meaning the storm had yet to stop. No. You could end up getting killed in the storm if you weren’t careful. And your wound still throbbed. It was best to stay in the cave. Though maybe you should just stay near the entrance. Yes, that sounded like a good idea.
You turned your head back around only to be greeted with a long snout sniffing at your fur where the tunnel should have been.
You let out a bleat of surprise and jumped several feet in the air, heart racing.
Then, it hit you.
This was the tunnel to Apep’s den.
And right before you was Apep. Or—it’s head, at least. The tunnel was much too small for its large serpentine-like body to fully fit through.
Oh. So Apep was the one giving off the dried herb smell. That…made sense, actually.
Apep stared down at you with its large glowing eyes that lit up the earth in a gentle glow.
“It has been quite a long time since I have last seen you, Mother. I am overjoyed to know that you are alive and well after all this time.” Apep said, voice gentle and lulling. A stark contrast to what you had heard from behind a screen.
You could only stand shocked, unable to think.
Apep stared at your frozen form with a sad gaze, sighing through it’s nose sadly(if that was even possible). “Ah, I see you do not remember. But that is to be expected after all that happened back then.” Apep paused to lower it’s head to the ground and nudge your furry cheek gently with it’s own. “You are the Creator of Teyvat. So you are Divine Mother of all. Though how I see it, only the mighty dragons like myself should be allowed to call you Mother. For we were the first. But perhaps your tastes have changed over the time you were gone. Shall I call you Divine One, one of your many titles?”
Apep’s words barely made sense to you right now. But one thing you knew very well.
Apep had called you the divine creator of Teyvat.
But truly, you wanted nothing more than to just be called by your name. No tittle needed. Maybe it was because Apep’s words had yet to sink in or you didn’t wish to be put upon a pedestal. Or maybe because you were a truly kind being to all. (This was really starting to feel like one of the SAGAU! fanfictions you liked to read in your free time) (and also because you didn’t want Arlechino to come after you)
But how were you going to get that across to Apep?
You let out a bleat.
The lights all along Apep’s sides glowed in recognition as it’s eyes somehow grew kinder and happier.
“I understand. That is a lovely name. May I truly be allowed to call you by it?” Apep said. You nodded. You would like nothing more than for Apep to call your by name. “Very well. Now, how is it that we have come to meet after all this time?”
And so, you told Apep everything that happened in the past week.
And it had some very strong words to say about some things. But Apep promised that once the storm passed it would make sure you reunited with Cyno.
And you did. Cyno did not physically show the worry on his face but he never let you out of his sight for the rest of the mission. Even as he dragged an unconscious rouge researcher behind him with an iron grip.
It was also safe to say, Cyno got a good scolding from Tighnari when you returned to Gandharva Ville.

i just wanted an excuse to draw shen yuan hitting shang qinghua on the head with a net lmao
but like sy would for sure try to recreate qing jing peak on his island if he played acnh
✦ TWITTER VERSION
some thoughts i have on the au:
LBH is just a little sheep that isn't even a proper villager. he lives in a rundown woodshed beside SY's house, so SY took him in.
SY would be really into bug finding. LQG would see this and just gift him a cool bug in the mailbox every day.
of course, being into bug finding is different from bug collecting; still, SY keeps all the gifts and has an entire room of his house dedicated to stacks and stacks of the bugs that he caught. LBH is secretly letting them free when his shizun isn't looking.
SY wears the exact same outfit every single day, but has a new and different fan each time. His closets and inventory are all just fans.
SY first found LBH by saving him from the holes that bully villagers dug around him. LBH was surrounded by all the holes and was stuck in place. SY shoveled the soil back into every hole so LBH can get out.
i dont actually play acnh, but i used to play new leaf as a kid so forgive me if i got anything wrong eee

https://pin.it/1dI84VVUB
As the fire crackles and the rain continues to fall outside, you close your eyes, allowing yourself to drift into a restful sleep, your heart filled with hope and determination. The journey to uncover your past and discover your true identity has only just begun, and you are ready to embrace it, one step at a time.
The journey through the forest was both arduous and enlightening. Days melded into one another as Tighnari led you through the vast, dense woodland. The sun filtered through the towering trees, casting dappled patterns on the forest floor, while the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves provided a serene backdrop. Along the way, Tighnari shared his knowledge of the flora and fauna, teaching you about the medicinal properties of various plants and the habits of the forest's creatures.
One morning, as the first rays of sunlight pierced through the leafs above, Tighnari turned to you, his eyes filled with a mix of anticipation and relief. "We're nearing Gandharva Village. It's a place of respite and learning for the Forest Rangers, often referred to as 'The City Above the Forest.' It's an important outpost, frequented by travelers, merchants, and adventurers."
Your heart quickened at the prospect of finally reaching a place of relative civilization. The forest had been beautiful, but the constant uncertainty of your situation had left you yearning for some stability.
"City Above the Forest?" you echoed, curiosity piqued.
Tighnari nodded. "Yes. Gandharva Village is built on a series of platforms and walkways suspended above the forest floor. It's designed to blend harmoniously with the natural environment, minimizing our footprint and maintaining the delicate balance of the ecosystem."
As you walked, the forest began to change subtly. The trees grew even taller, their trunks thicker and more ancient. The air felt different, fresher somehow, as if you were ascending into a different realm. You passed by shimmering waterfalls and crossed crystal-clear streams, each sight more breathtaking than the last.
Tighnari paused occasionally to point out interesting plants or animal tracks, his passion for the natural world evident in every word. "This is a varuna tree," he explained at one point, gesturing to an enormous tree with roots that seemed to span across the forest. "Its sap is highly prized for its healing properties. The rangers often collect it for medical use."
You nodded, absorbing the information. "It's incredible how everything in the forest seems to have a purpose."
"Indeed," Tighnari agreed. "Nature is a masterful teacher, if only we take the time to listen."
As the sun climbed higher, you finally caught sight of Gandharva Village. True to Tighnari's description, it was a marvel of engineering and nature. Wooden platforms connected by rope bridges and ladders formed a network high above the ground, blending seamlessly with the surrounding trees. Lush greenery draped over the structures, and colorful flowers added vibrant splashes of color.
"Welcome to Gandharva Village," Tighnari said with a smile. "Let's head to my house. I want to conduct a thorough medical checkup to ensure you're alright."
You followed him across the swaying bridges, marveling at the ingenuity of the village's design. The air was filled with the scents of blooming flowers and the earthy aroma of the forest. Villagers greeted Tighnari warmly as you passed, their smiles reflecting the close-knit community spirit.
Arriving at Tighnari's house, you found it to be a cozy, well-kept dwelling, filled with books, herbs, and various scientific instruments. He gestured for you to sit on a comfortable chair by a large window that offered a stunning view of the forest canopy.
"Let's see," Tighnari began, retrieving a medical kit. "I'll check your vitals first."
You nodded, feeling a mix of gratitude and nervousness. As he worked, his touch was gentle but precise, his eyes focused and attentive. The sense of care he exuded was reassuring.
As he examined you, Tighnari continued to share more about the village. "Gandharva Village serves as the main hub for the Forest Rangers. We monitor the forest, ensuring its health and safety. It's also a place where travelers can rest and resupply. The community here is diverse, with people from all walks of life coming together to protect and learn from the forest."
You listened intently, feeling a growing sense of connection to this place. "It sounds like a wonderful community. I can see why you love it here."
Tighnari smiled warmly. "It is. The forest is our lifeblood, and we do our best to live in harmony with it. Speaking of which, your readings are normal, but you need to stay warm and dry to avoid falling ill."
Before you could respond, the door to the house burst open, and a young girl with green hair and a sturdy looking bow rushed in. "Master Tighnari! You're back!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with relief. "I was so worried..."
Tighnari looked up, a mixture of surprise and warmth in his eyes. He fixes his clothing and walked over to her "Collei, it's good to see you. I didn't mean to worry you. We had an unexpected journey."
Collei's gaze shifted to you, her curiosity evident. "Who's this? Are you alright?"
You offered a small smile. "I'm fine, thank you. Tighnari has been taking good care of me."
Tighnari placed a reassuring hand on Collei's shoulder. "This is our guest. They've had a rough time but are safe now. Collei, can you help prepare some hot tea? It'll help them warm up."
Collei nodded eagerly. "Of course, Master." She hurried to the kitchen area, her movements quick and efficient.
As you sat there, enveloped in the warmth of the blanket and the kindness of your new companions, a sense of belonging began to take root. The journey ahead was still uncertain, but for the first time since you woke up in the forest, you felt a glimmer of hope.
Tighnari's house, with its mix of natural elements and scientific tools, seemed to reflect his dual nature as both a guardian of the forest and a seeker of knowledge. The walls were adorned with botanical drawings, and shelves were lined with jars of herbs and curious specimens.
"Tighnari," you began, feeling a need to understand more, "It must be incredible to live in a world where such beings as gods and elements exist."
"It is," Tighnari agreed. "But it's also a responsibility. Those who receive visions often feel a duty to use their powers for the greater good."
Before you could ask more, Collei returned with a steaming pot of tea and cups. She poured the tea with practiced ease, and the fragrant steam filled the room, adding to the cozy atmosphere.
"Here you go," she said, handing you a cup. "This should help warm you up."
You took the cup gratefully, feeling the warmth spread through your hands. "Thank you, Collei."
As you sipped the tea, its soothing warmth spreading through you, you realized that despite the mysteries surrounding your past, you had found a place where you could begin to seek answers. Gandharva Village, with its unique blend of nature and community, felt like a stepping stone on your journey of self-discovery.
Tighnari leaned back, his gaze thoughtful. "Rest for now. We can talk more in the morning. There’s much for you to learn about Teyvat, and perhaps we can uncover more about your past as we go."
You nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude and anticipation. "Thank you, Tighnari. And you too, Collei. I don't know what lies ahead, but I'm glad to have met you both."
With that, you settled into the warmth of the blanket, the fire crackling softly nearby, and the gentle murmur of the forest outside. The rain continued to fall, but within Tighnari's home, you felt safe and hopeful. The journey to uncover your true identity had begun in earnest, and with the support of your new friends, you felt ready to face whatever lay ahead.
As you drift into a deep, much-needed sleep, Tighnari and Collei moved to a corner of the room, their voices hushed but urgent. Tighnari’s sharp ears twitched slightly, always alert even in the safety of his home. He glanced over at the sleeping figure, then turned his attention back to Collei.
"Master, what happened out there? Who is this person?" Collei asked, her green eyes wide with curiosity and concern.
Tighnari sighed, running a hand through his dark green hair, his fennec ears flicking with agitation. "It's a long story, Collei. I found them wandering in the forest, disoriented and with no memory of who they are or how they got there. But there's more to it than just amnesia."
Collei tilted her head, her fox-like ears twitching in interest. "More? Like what?"
Tighnari leaned in closer, his voice lowering to a whisper. "The forest itself seemed to react to them. Flowers bloomed in their presence, and the trees seemed to bend to offer protection. It's as if the forest was… welcoming them."
Collei's eyes widened even further. "Welcoming them? But that's… I've never heard of such a thing happening."
"Neither have I," Tighnari admitted. "But that's not all. They don't smell like a normal human. In fact, they don't have any scent at all, which is highly unusual. Every living being has a scent, but they don't. It's like they exist outside the natural order of things."
Collei frowned, trying to process the information. "Do you think they could be… a god? Or some other non-human creature?"
Tighnari sighed again, his expression thoughtful. "It's possible. Their presence feels different, almost otherworldly. There's a calmness and a sense of belonging that I can't quite explain. It's like they are part of the forest in a way that goes beyond mere human understanding."
Collei hesitated, then spoke up. "I remember an old tale I heard as a child, a legend about the Creator. It was said that the Creator would one day return to Teyvat, bringing harmony and balance to the world. Could it be possible that…"
Tighnari's eyes widened slightly. "The Creator? It's a tale I've heard too, but always dismissed as myth. Yet, the signs… they can't be ignored."
Collei nodded slowly, her mind racing. "If they truly are the Creator, or even something close to that, it could explain why the forest reacted the way it did. The forest, the plants, even the animals – they all recognized them."
Tighnari looked back at the sleeping figure, his expression softening. "If that's true, then their presence here could have far-reaching implications. We need to keep them safe and help them recover their memories. Only then can we understand their true purpose and what it means for Teyvat."
Collei agreed, her determination matching Tighnari's. "We'll do everything we can to protect them and help them find out who they are. This could be the start of something incredible."
Tighnari smiled, careful not to touch her, knowing how much she disliked physical contact. "Thank you, Collei. Your support means a lot. For now, let's focus on keeping them safe and comfortable. We'll figure out the rest as we go."
They both turned their attention back to the sleeping figure, their minds filled with questions and possibilities. The journey ahead was uncertain, but with the bond they shared and the resolve they held, they felt ready to face whatever challenges lay in wait.
Tighnari then spoke again, a new idea forming in his mind. "Collei, there is someone who might be able to help us. The Dendro Archon, the God of Wisdom. She has knowledge beyond our understanding. If anyone can provide answers, it's her."
Collei's eyes lit up with hope. "The Dendro Archon? Yes, she would surely know what to do. We should take them to her."
Tighnari nodded. "It's settled then. Tomorrow, we'll prepare for the journey to meet the Dendro Archon. Let's hope she can shed some light on this mystery."
---
The sun rose gently over Gandharva Village, casting a warm glow over the intricate network of platforms and bridges. The village was already bustling with activity as Forest Rangers went about their duties, preparing for another day of safeguarding the forest.
Inside Tighnari's home the air was filled with the scent of fresh herbs and flowers. You stirred from your sleep, blinking slowly as you adjusted to the morning light streaming through the windows.
Tighnari and Collei were already up, speaking quietly near the door. They turned as the reader awoke, their expressions softening with concern.
"Good morning," Tighnari greeted with a warm smile. "How are you feeling?"
"A bit better," you reply, still feeling the lingering warmth of the blankets. "Thank you for everything."
"You're welcome," Collei said, her voice gentle. "We're here to help you."
As they prepared for the day, you couldn't shake the feeling of being part of something much larger. The forest, the village, and the people around them all seemed to resonate with a sense of purpose and connection.
Tighnari's words from the previous night echoed in your mind. The journey to uncover your true identity was just beginning, and with the support of your new friends, they felt ready to face whatever lay ahead. The path forward was uncertain, but it was also filled with hope and the promise of discovery.

Thinking about...
Orochimaru
“Lord Orochimaru?”
Peaking into the room you searched for the man,
“Sir?”
There was an echo of an object hitting the floor. Throwing caution to the wind, you pushed open the door. Rushing in, you tried to find the source of the sound. Nothing out of place was in his room, so you leaned your head against the door listening for any hint that you might be in the right place.
Gently tapping the door, you announced your presence once again. Just in case the young lord hadn’t heard you before.
“Lord Orochimaru, is everything okay?”
An aggravated huff sounded behind the door. The Sannin panted behind the closed latch.
“Is…is there anything I could do to help?”
Humming, Orochimaru pondered your request.
“Enter. I need assistance with something.”
The door unlocked, slowly propping open. Seeing this as his explicit permission, you opened the door further.
Slowly stepping in, you closed the door behind you. Turning, you faced him. Bowing your head in respect, you tilted your head in question.
The sight in front of you was not one you expected.
Bare, Orochimaru was underneath the shower head, water falling against his pale skin. His arms were held against the wall, pants escaping his parted lips in pain. Orochimaru wished the old bastard was still alive, even if only he could prolong his death longer. The pain he was enduring now was excruciating, not able to contain himself.
-
He had brought you back from the Leaf Village during the Chunin Exams. Constantly by your side as soon as he saw you. You were one of the ninjas in charge of discovering his abandoned bases and scavenging for his notes. Any research or test subjects were to be brought back to the Hokage himself. The Third was definitely not your favorite of the quartet. He was a drunken pervert, one who never took care of the Foruth’s child like he promised. You were close enough to his executives to have known about the promise and it had left a rotten taste in your mouth. Since then, you had been going through Orochimaru’s belongings and sabotaging the others. Even if only to make his job harder.
Whatever you found you hid away from sight, stashing them so that you could study them later.
After days of skimming through his research, you found yourself enchanted by his notes. He was a mastermind in every way. His tactics may have been brutal, but the results spoke for themselves.
You grew to admire him.
And then he found you, stashed away in the base under the Hokage Summit. You had been searching for a missing notebook out of the collection you had acquired.
He had appeared so abruptly, his chakra clouding your senses the moment he entered the room. He had made no move to conceal himself, not expecting someone to be there in the first place. He was only there to pick through the remaining research he had abandoned. Too distracted to notice the lone chakra source lingering in the halls.Noticing you, he had made to dispose of your body. Only to find you hungrily sifting through one of his old bookshelves. He noticed that many were displaced or gone, and the way you seemed so guilty had told him all he needed to know.
So, without thinking through all of the possibilities, Orochimaru scooped you into his arms. In shock, you gaped at the man you had been told was a danger your entire life. He was holding you so sweetly, a questioning look lingering.
“And what do we have here? An admirer perhaps?”
His voice melodic and saccharine.
Stuttering, you attempted to reason with him.
“I-uhm! I’ve been going through your work! I adore your research and all the studies you’ve completed! Even if your methods seem cruel to some people, none of them realize the extent of your work, or the results you’ve managed to accumulate!”
Eyes shining, you ranted about his work.
“There is so much I wish to ask and learn from you!”
Orochimaru looked down at you, a smug smile stretching ear to ear. One of his hands came up to your face, flinching, you tried to protect yourself from harm. Instead, you were met with him fingering a strand of hair behind your ear. Cupping your face, the snake studied your features.
“You wish to learn from me, to stay by my side, hm?”
You nodded frantically, eager to work for or with him.
“Then you will be coming with me.”
-
You had learned that the man had managed to kill the Third. A feat you praised him for once you saw him again. You threw yourself at him, wrapping him in your arms and shouting in glee. The snake had been surprised, not expecting the thrill in response to his deeds. At the very least he had been ready for some screaming or hitting.
The fact you had met him with such happiness…
Orochimaru was delighted.
Which was why you managed to get away with as much as you did. He allowed you to do as you wished, as long as you informed him beforehand.
–
He had allowed you to come in during his time of weakness. Eager for any kind of relief or help you wanted to offer. Not paying any attention to the blood pooling in the floor.
Seeing Lord Orochimaru in such a state wasn’t ideal, but you wanted to help him anyway you could.
His head gestured for you to come closer.
“Come. I need assistance with washing my hair.”
“Of course!”
You had gone to step near him, hands reaching out to wet his hair. The snake’s hand grabbed your wrist, stopping you. Confused, you were going to question him. Only for the Sannin to answer instead.
“Who’s ever heard of showering with your clothes on? Strip. Join me.”
He had made it sound so obvious, as if you were the one in the wrong to even think about only assisting. You didn’t want to overstep, to cross the boundary between associates and something else. But it seemed as if the man could care less about such trivial details.
You did as told. Clothes peeling away from your skin, graciously allowing Orochimaru the honor of admiring you.
Fully bare, you steppin in the low shower, water soaking you as soon as you placed your foot in. What you weren’t expecting was the crimson red building up there. But it didn’t look as if he was bothered by it..so you ignored it as well.
Orochimaru tried to contain himself. Shivering under the water, trying to appear calm. But your delicate skin accidentally pressing against his body was almost too much to handle. Pouring shampoo into your palm, you lathered the soap before combing through his hair. It was long, softer than you thought it was going to be. Too caught up in the surprise of the silkiness of it, you missed the way the Sannin was beginning to shake harder.
Finished playing with his hair, you admonished yourself for getting distracted.
You washed the shampoo from Orochimaru’s hair. Making sure every sud was gone before deeming him finished. Stepping away, you made to exit so that he could finish in peace.
He stopped you from doing so, speaking to you since he could not move his arms as he wished.
“So quick to leave. You haven’t even spoken to me.”
He teased.
“Sir-!”
You stayed.
Not possessing the ability to deny him.

NeteyamxAvatar!Female!ReaderxAo’nung
Summary: Ever since you were gifted with an avatar body, two of your friends have been acting really weird.
Okay, this was getting ridiculous.
“Neteyam,” you said. “What the fuck?”
“What, you don’t like it?” He frowned, bringing the string of decorative beads closer to his face for further inspection.
You barely restrained yourself from taking it from him and smacking him with it. How could someone possibly be this dense? “Look,” you started in a pained voice. “It’s not that I don’t like it. It’s just that this is the twentieth hair ornament you’ve given me in a week. What am I going to do with twenty hair ornaments?”
You had even started secretly giving some away to the young Metkayina girls when he wasn’t paying attention. They would at least find better use for it.
Neteyam’s ears drooped dejectedly as you scolded him. “But,” he protested in confusion. “I thought you liked hair ornaments?”
Eywa give you strength.
You stepped closer to him and poked him harshly in the chest. A slight flush broke out over his cheeks at your proximity.
“I do like hair ornaments,” you hissed at him, your right under-eye twitching from the strain of keeping your composure. “It was sweet like, the first three times. But I’m afraid if you give me anymore, my head will snap off from the weight of carrying an entire tree’s worth of wood!”
With that you pushed past him, stalking back to the village with a huff and leaving Neteyam staring at your retreating figure in shock.
“Shit, that was rough!” Lo’ak snickered, elbowing his brother in the side.
“Shut up, skxawng,” Neteyam glared, sulking deeply. It seemed he would have to step up his game.
From a distance, another boy with lighter skin and a topknot scowled as he watched the situation unfold, the spear he was carving suddenly snapping in his hands.
****
You were sitting on the shore, collecting materials to weave into clothing.
Someone cleared their throat above you, causing you to look up.
“Ao’nung?” You said questioningly, raising a brow. “What’s up?”
“You hunt?” He demanded, not looking you in the eye. He was hiding something behind his back.
“Uh, yes?” You furrowed your brows, looking up at him in confusion. Usually Ao’nung wasn’t like this, if he had something to say to you, he would just come out it say it. But now it looked like there was something holding him back, making him fidget uncomfortably.
A handcrafted spear was abruptly shoved in your face. You reeled back at the sudden movement, falling back on your hands.
“What—?” You startled.
“For you,” he said lowly, clearing his throat.
You blinked in shock, taking the spear from him and inspecting it. It was beautiful, with a sleek wooden staff and a polished bone tip. Designs specific to the Metkayina clan were carved into the staff and the idents were painted black to stand out. The bone tip was expertly sharpened and secured tightly with the strongest twine on the island.
“Woah,” you breathed in amazement, but feeling a sudden confusion take root. “Why would you give this to me?”
He scowled, crossing his arms defensively. “It’s an old one I don’t use anymore, and I figured you could use all the help you could get.”
A pang of annoyance shot through you, but it was soon overrun by disbelief. There was no way this was his ‘old spear’. The spear had zero scuff marks, as if it had never drawn its first blood.
You glanced back up to call him out, but stopped yourself when you noticed the slight flush on his cheeks.
Okay. What the fuck was going on?
“Get down!” Neteyam hissed from behind a bush not too far away, pulling Lo’ak down by his ear. “They’re going to see us!”
“The hell bro?” Lo’ak complained, rubbing the side of his head with a scowl.
Neteyam glowered under the shade of a tree leaf, yellow eyes flashing with jealousy. Who the hell did fish lips think he was, stealing his girl? He had obviously made it very clear that he was courting you.
He watched with increasing irritation as Ao’nung ogled you like a piece of meat, a dark flush spreading across his face.
Neteyam growled, his tail swishing dangerously behind him. Oh, it was on.
Thwack.
“Fuck!” Lo’ak yelped, holding his face as he fell over. “Are you serious bro?”
****
“Y/n!”
The hairs on the back of your neck stood up in dread as the wool slipped out of your hands.
“Quick, hide me!” You hissed suddenly, startling Kiri enough to drop the basket she was weaving.
“What?” She spluttered as you lunged under some woven tarps, curling yourself into a ball to hide yourself completely.
“Y/n!” Neteyam burst into the marui not a second later. He paused in confusion, having thought he saw you here a second ago with Kiri, but now you were nowhere to be found. “Kiri, have you seen Y/n?”
A bead of sweat trickled slowly down your forehead. Come on Kiri, you pleaded. Get the hint.
Kiri blinked as the puzzle pieces started coming together in her mind. “Uh, no, it’s just me in here.”
Neteyam frowned skeptically. “Really? Because I thought I saw at least someone else in here.”
Kiri raised a brow. “You must have hit your head hunting or something, brother. There’s no one else here.”
With one last dubious look, he turned and trudged slowly out of the marui, tail swishing in irritation behind him.
Once you couldn’t hear his footsteps anymore, you carefully peaked your head back out from under the tarps. “Is he gone?” You whispered cautiously, eyes still wide and on edge.
“Yeah,” Kiri looked at you strangely. “Wanna tell me what that was all about?”
You sighed, crawling out tiredly from under the tarps and slumping against the wall. You slung an exasperated arm over your eyes. “Ever since I got my avatar, Neteyam and Ao’nung have been acting so weird.”
Kiri shuffled closer, her curiosity piqued. “Really, how?” She raised a questioning brow.
“I don’t know, like,” you huffed in frustration. “All of a sudden, they started giving me so many things I didn’t need. At first it was nice of them, since I thought it was their way of welcoming me officially into the Na’vi culture, but now it’s getting ridiculous. I now have like twenty hair ornaments, an accessorized dagger and a crossbow from Neteyam, and a spear, two necklaces and assorted handpicked Metkayina sweets from Ao’nung. I have no idea why—hey,” you paused as Kiri started to snicker, and soon enough she was bent over as full belly laughs shook her collapsed body. “What—why are you laughing?”
“Oh my Eywa,” she snorted, wiping a stray tear away as she picked herself back up. “This is too good. Y/n, you can’t possibly be this oblivious.”
You stared at her in confusion and slight irritation. This was a serious issue that had been bothering and worrying you for weeks, and now she was laughing? “Want to tell me what I’m missing here?”
Kiri grabbed your shoulders, shaking you lightly with a gleeful smile. “Y/n, they’re courting you!”
They’re courting you.
As soon as the words sunk in, your jaw dropped. “No,” you shook your head, rejecting the idea immediately. “There’s no way.”
“Oh but there is,” Kiri giggled, a touch too deviously for your liking. “Oh this is great! We can have so much fun with this.”
“What? No! What are you even saying Kiri?” You scowled, looking at your friend in disbelief. “How could you think that?”
“Y/n,” she said seriously, raising an unimpressed brow. “Think about it. A bunch of sudden attention? Showering you with gifts?” She leaned closer, wiggling her brows suggestively. “Your bangin’ new bod?”
“Ewww,” you shoved her face away, gagging. “You’re crazy, there’s no way they’d like me. We’re just friends.”
“That’s how you see them,” she smirked knowingly. “But I guarantee you that they don’t. Trust me, next time they try to approach you, tease them a little, and watch how they react. If they get flustered, well you know I’m right. If they’re friendly like usual, then you’re right.”
****
It had been bothering you, what Kiri said. In fact, you couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Tease them a little, and watch how they react.
A dark flush creeped over your face, warming your cheeks. “No,” you shook your head aggressively. “That’s stupid. I’m not going to do that.”
But what if she was right?
What were you even going to do with that information if she was?
It was at that precise moment when you heard something that sounded suspiciously like a punch.
“Ow! Let go!”
“No, you let go!”
Splash.
Feeling a thick dread pooling at the pit of your stomach, you hurriedly followed the grunting and splashing sounds until you pushed aside some foliage, greeted with a view of the two culprits trying to viciously drown each other.
“What are you doing?!” You shrieked in horror, dropping whatever you were carrying and running towards them as fast as you could.
At the sight of you, the two of them abruptly let go of each other, standing up as stiff as poles.
You stopped right by the shore, shoulders heaving as you glared at them. An embroidered headpiece floated innocently towards you, brushing up against your ankles.
“It’s for you,” Neteyam cleared his throat, wiping the water from his face. “I was going to find you to give it to you, until this skxawng attacked me.”
“What?” Ao’nung exclaimed in outrage, turning towards Neteyam angrily. “You threw the first punch, idiot!”
“Only because you slapped Y/n’s gift out of my hand!” He growled back.
“Enough!” You hissed, shutting them both up. “This has gone on for long enough. I don’t know what your goals were, if this was supposed to impress me or something, but all it did was make the two of you look like the biggest idiots on the island.”
Neteyam lowered his gaze in shame as Ao’nung averted his eyes with a scowl.
“I don’t know how you could be so dense,” he grumbled. “I was obviously courting you.”
Neteyam whipped his head up, an angry snarl pulling at his lips. “What are you saying? I was courting her first! You were just interfering.”
“What?” Ao’nung snapped in indignation. “Who said—”
“It doesn’t matter who was courting me first!” You bared your teeth. “I choose no one! You’re both morons!”
“What—”
“But—”
Holding your hand up, you silenced the protests, glaring at both of them heatedly. “Don’t talk to me until you’ve both started acting like adults.”
You turned on your heel, angrily stomping away from the water and leaving the two boys shocked to silence as they floated in the water beside each other.
Neteyam was the first to blink out of it, giving Ao’nung a grimacing stink eye.
“The hell are you looking at, forest bitch?” Ao’nung snapped back.
Neteyam rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “Obviously nothing impressive.”
“You piece of s—”

Feel free to download this artwork here. I'm trying to get the ball rolling on my art shops, so downloads would help me a lot!
today, I observed the vine creatures once more. It's becoming clear that the creature is really only the vines, the wooden claws and faces aren't actually part of them. These wooden parts are passed down from the tribe's elders through some kind of ceremonial exchange. I'm not certain where these wooden pieces originally came from, but I have reason to believe they are from an extinct tree species that once formed symbiotic bonds with the vines
they are most visible in the mornings. I've seen them sprawled above the tree canopies, their vines sprouting leaves to collect sunlight. The process appears efficient—every leaf turned towards the sun as if performing a slow dance. They hide their leaves at night, presumably to make them more aerodynamic and quieter. I've tracked their movement down to predator-infested lakes where they gather water. It's fascinating—they hide their leaves during this time, likely as a stealth measure to avoid detection from predators. When cornered or threatened, they leave their wooden pieces and camouflage amidst the dense foliage
their social dynamics are strange. Unlike other species, size and brute strength do not determine status within their groups. Here, speed and stealth seem to be valued most. The leaders are often the ones with the smallest vines. The larger ones handle the manual tasks around their villages
there is not much to gain in hunting these creatures; they are rather peaceful and keep forests alive. When basking in the sunlight, they attach their roots to the trees beneath them, sharing any excess nutrients they gather. I've also seen the younger ones engaging in what looks like play—they toss around large tree nuts, inadvertently aiding in seed dispersal when these nuts break open
despite the creature's importance to the forests, some human nobles have taken to wearing their wooden faces as masks. These masks have become a symbol of status and power, a statement that the wearer has claimed a piece of the forest. To provoke the creatures into attacking, hunters wear these wooden masks themselves, taunting the creatures into attacking them
End of entry.

Your stories are wonderful ♥️♥️
I couldn't stop reading ✨✨
I was thinking about a fantasy AU, where we have the big dragon bakugou and his tiny fairy friend a Tinkerbelk vibe lol
And what would their routine be like, perhaps scaring away some treasure hunters?
I love your stories ♥️✨
dragonking!katsuki was the most feared king in all the lands. he was strong, wielding a sword he welded with his own flames, magic stronger than a clan of witches, and unforeseen knowledge that always gave him an edge.
how did he get this knowledge you ask? it was a secret to most, however.. only his most trusted dragonknight knew it was because of his pocket-sized fairy, you.
you wore a flower dress of your favorite color, always glowing and shimmery because of the fairy dust you used to keep yourself healthy and flying. you'd found katsuki when he was a prince, he was teary eyed as he sat out in the gardens, upset that his childhood rival had been revealed to have royal blood.
you were lost, still in a white, orchid gown as you slowly flew around, eventually landing on his knee. he eyed you oddly, jumping slightly when you landed on him. though, as he examined you further, he realized that he was being touched by a real fairy. something he'd only heard about in tales he'd hear at night. you spoke to him, though at first he could only hear a bell sound.
he saw you looked frustrated, until smacking your forehead with a "duh!" and flying up to sprinkle him with some fairy dust. after a bit of confusion, he kept his red eyes locked onto you as you cleared your throat. "can you hear me now?" you said, making him speechless. he managed a nod and you continued.
"i don't really know how to get back to my hollow so.. can i stay with you?" you asked, shyly putting one leg behind the other at your request. he sputtered, before managing a, "t-that's cool, fairy girl."
"it's actually [name] random guy!"
"okay [name], uh-- katsuki's fine."
he soon realized not everyone could hear you, and you explained that the fairy dust you used was too valuable to let just everyone use it. he smirked though, happy that he'd be special to you.
you were there as he was sent off on his crowning journey, telling him where to find the best loot, the best resting places you'd remember, and even how to scavenge for food. you'd keep him company through the uncomfortable nights, and he'd carry you in his gloved hands during winter, since your wing's would freeze over.
he'd make you tiny leaf beds and let you sleep a safe distance from his head, he'd make sure you ate and would take you to collect pixie dust from the various trees you'd remember.
with your help, he was the first successful one of all the heirs to help awaken the crimson dragon, officially crowning him king.
he celebrated with you, treating you to maple syrup and finding you the best flowers to finally make you a new dress, topping it all of with a baby's breath crown.
you were always on his shoulder, always hidden by the fur coat he'd adorn. people would find the king randomly smiling as he heard your jokes or comments, but when questioned he'd slam his fist.
the casual day for you two would usually be hunting for treasure. for some reason, fairies were hardwired with amazing intuition that was always correct, so you were like his own metal detector. he'd hold you close to him, a habit he formed after you were snatched out of the sky once by a hawk, and you'd point in the direction you'd need to go.
when he arrived, seeing the pirates already in process of looting the place, he'd ready his magic, whispering to you to get under his coat. he fought off the 20 some men alone, leaving with not only the treasure in the cave, but on the pirates ship too.
as he called his village people to come get their share of the fair amount of treasure, he smiled softly at you, who was now eating some more maple candy he'd got for you on top of his thumb.
he owed it all to you, his fairy.

Naruto Deco CC Collection (DL below)
Decals are BGC, the rest require SE. See in-game pics here
🍜🍥ICHIRAKU RAMEN SET🍥🍜 (requires SE and CCMESH)
Only the decals are base game compatible, found with the rest of the naruto wall decals. The light and curtains require SE pack. The curtains ALSO require this @channel4sims mesh (called curtain 1), which you can also find in requirements section. I needed at least five squares to spell 4 "Ramen" katakanas and the Ichiraku kanji, so I used their addon 6 square curtain, for the last square i just put different ramen pictures.
🍥Noren Curtains Sets (requires SE)
Get plain coloured curtains with no symbols in the Addon section. I don't remember the price but I left it the same as the snowy escape ones.😅💜There is a large four square and a small two square curtain of everything.
🍥Misc Naruto Symbols
In order: Naruto bijuu seal, Naruto 6 paths sage mode, Sakura's crest (uchiha ones are with uzumaki package), ANBU, Land of Fire, Akatsuki, Gaara's love tattoo, Sage of 6 paths, sealed orochimaru curse mark. 🍥Konoha Clan Symbols
Uzumaki + Uchiha (including police force symbol and the blue and white ones above 🍥Ino-Shika-Cho / Nara-Akimichi-Yamanaka clan symbols. There were 2 for Akimichi 🍥Sarutobi Clan, Senju Clan 🍥Hyuuga Clan Symbols 🍥Inuzuka (Kiba) I don't know if this is actually the clan symbol 🍥Aburame Clan
🍥Otsutsuki Clan Symbols
Again I found so many that I just made them all, I don't remember the lore about the main or branch family and found many symbols online. I think the one with all the circles is their earth clan symbol and the moon and sun (2 versions) are the two branches)
🍥Hidden Villages Symbols
Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf)🍥Amegakure (Hidden Rain)🍥 Otogakure (Hidden Sound)🍥Sunagakure (Hidden Sand)🍥Iwagakure (Hidden Stone)🍥Kumogakure (Hidden Cloud)🍥Kirigakure (Hidden Mist)
🍥Naruto Wall Decals (Base game compatible)
The decals include the ramen ones to match the Ichiraku set. The Uchiha decals are in their own separate package from all others, included bright, muted, worn/dirty swatches. All resizable, only minor issue is if they are thin black lines or sized down too much then when you zoom out they disappear a bit. They cost 0 simoleons and can be found in wall deco category. 🍥FILES INFO: Uchiha curtain symbols are with uzumaki clan symbols in separate package not in the misc or clan ones, the curtains had too many swatches so I divided them up; Otsutsuki also separate package; the names of the files are self explanatory if you wish to pick and choose, if you want the entire collection there is a merged file with everything, don't forget the mesh, don't install merged with anything else or you'll get duplicates) 🍥REQUIREMENTS ❗❗❗ Decals require nothing. All Noren Curtains require Snowy Escape. Ichiraku Set also requires SE, but apart from that requires this MESH by @channel4sims-cc (I mentioned above but forgot here, it is in the set called curtain 1)
🍥ABOUT THE SYMBOLS/DESIGNS: I included: misc symbols (Akatsuki, Gaara's love tattoo, ANBU, orochimaru curse mark with and without seal, Naruto's bijuu seal, all main konoha clan symbols (Sarutobi, Senju, Nara, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Aburame, Hyuuga, Inuzuka, Haruno, Uzumaki, Uchiha), Land of Fire symbol, the main hidden villages (Konoha/Leaf, Kumo/Cloud, Kiri/Mist, Oto/Sound, Suna/Sand, Ame/Rain, Iwa/Stone), Otsutsuki and 6 paths symbols. In cases where there was more than one online or I wasn't sure which was the main symbol I just made various different ones, sorry if I got anything wrong, all images were found online. I tried to use colours that matched the colour schemes used in the anime for characters clans and villages. (Also didn't mention but the curtains further to the top are only brighter because of the lighting, they are all the same though, sorry I suck at the photos)
🍥ADDON: PLAIN CURTAINS
If you want MATCHING PLAIN CURTAINS in the same colours with no symbols, you can download them HERE.
🍥DOWNLOAD (Google Drive) 🍥ALT (PATREON)
🍥Please respect my TOU and do not:
❌ REUPLOAD -❌ PUT BEHIND PAYWALL OF ANY KIND -❌ INCLUDE CC IN YOUR DOWNLOADS ❌CLAIM AS YOURS HOWEVER I'm including the photoshop texture files for personal edits, please don't reupload mine (if you make a sort of original set, or some other item and wanna use the logos that's fine). You can use the plain colour curtains texture files from the addon download too if you wish as a background for your own creations as long as they are your own creation and aren't the same as my download. If you do use them or use my stuff for screenshots or something please credit and tag me, I would love to see! If you have any inquiries about anything please ask! If requests are still open may I request how lee would act with a very affections S/O? Like always trying to hold hands, pda is 100% something they like, and they’re always looking for a way to touch/hold him? Sorry if requests are closed! Thank you for taking the time to look at this and I hope you have a wonderful day/night!
AN: Hi, I know I haven't posted in Ages, don't worry nothing bad happened I just didn't have the energy to write, but I'm back now and I'm gonna try and get all the requests in my inbox done as soon as possible Xx.
Gender Neutral reader.
Warnings: None.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To be honest, Lee LOVES how affectionate you are.
You will NEVER feel like you're clingy or annoying him because this boy will accept your affection without hesitation.
you put you're hand on his face? He's grabbed your wrist and nuzzling his face in your palm.
You've opened your arms for a hug? He's dive booming at you.
You two are cuddling in bed and you're massaging his scalp? The boys acting like a cat who's getting a GOOD scratch.
It doesn't matter where or when you want to hold him because he will fully embrace it.
This boy will combine you and his training together, for example...
When he's doing pull-ups, you're hugging his front like a Kuala Bear.
Lee's doing push-ups, you're either underneath him giving him a kiss every time he comes down OR on his back cloud gazing and telling him what you see.
At some point in the relationship, he starts to put you on his back when he goes for his morning run, like Lee loves his morning cuddles but he HAS to go for his run so he figured why not just sling you on his back and take you with him while you sleep.
Shikamaru stood on his balcony having his first cigarette of the day, as he watched Lee run past with a sleeping Y/N on his back for the fifth day in a row: Mother fuckers doing it again.
I’m just gonna tell you now, that everyone is disgusted by how affectionate you two are, like everyone in The Hidden Leaf is somewhat jaded so when they see you two being all loving and cuddly towards each other it makes them physically sick.
(But don't take it to heart because this is the same village that collectively hated on a child.)
Don't worry tho because there's a small fan club that supports you and Lee, that being Guy, Tenten and Sakura.
Both of yous LOVE bedtime because it means you two can cuddle for 8 uninterrupted hours.
If there's ever a time that you're late to bed, Lee will hunt you down and drag you to bed, it doesn't matter what you were doing before, put it down, it's bedtime.
Rock Lee: Walking to the bedroom with Y/N over his shoulder, like a sack of potatoes.
Y/N: Put me down I have to finish my work!
Rock Lee: No 😇
It's okay tho because you do the same to Lee when he tries to do late-night training.
All in all, you and Rock Lee are a match made in heaven.
By now we've all heard about those funny pictures of knights bravely fighting fearsome snails in the margins of medieval manuscripts. But so far, I haven't found any mention of those occurences in folklore. Until now.
I've read through some Italian folk tales from Christian Schneller's "Märchen und Sagen aus Wälschtirol" when I found this funny story about the inhabitants of an unnamed village that has a similar feel to the tales about "Schildbürger" (or, as Wikipedia tells me, "Wise Men of Gotham" for English speakers).
In this story, the inhabitants of the village have never seen a snail when a woman found one of these animals on a mountain. When the snail stretched out its "horns", she ran away in fear and told it to the village mayor, who immediately sent a man to Trento to buy a saber and also set out watchposts around the village day and night.
When the man returned with the saber, the mayor put out a large bounty for whoever had the courage to face the snail. Two of the bravest men of the village went up the mountain and found the snail sitting on a leaf. When they tried to hit it with the saber, it fell to the ground, but the men thought it was coming at them and ran away in blind fear, soon falling of a cliff and dying.
I have no idea if there are more stories of this kind and if any of them go back to the middle ages, as Schneller, like most folklorists, collected his tales in the late 19th and early 20th century, long after the funny manuscript pictures we all know and love. But it's an interesting connection nonetheless.
My interpretation of Itachi's character is fairly contrasting with yours. I pose my arguments against your analysis. I hope I would get a lead unto having an unbiased opinion.
Itachi's position in here between was a rock and a hard place. Having witnessed horrors of wars he chose to the stop war. It wasn't the best decision but even still he accomplished many things.
A new Forth Great Ninja war was prevented. Uchihas plan wasn't to reform the government it was to take control of them. Their desires were clearly reflected in their demands. While half of them was about freedom, the rest was only to control village. This, along with Obito's plan for revenge and war, will definitely start a war.
Madara, with the pact, was foiled for more than seven years long enough for the strong Shinobis like Naruto and Sasuke to grow up and defeat him.
Sasuke's life was saved. Itachi would go at all lengths to protect his brother. Afterall, its only obvious he would be over-protective of Sasuke since both loved each other a lot(as siblings).
The Uchiha's reputation were saved. Imagine what would have happened to the Uchihas after the war. The people were already suspicious of the Uchihas and now we will have never ending persecution and would be branded as traitors, doesn't matter if the coup won or lost. The coup wasn't about reforming anyway.
People in the village got to be safe too.
And despite all these he still regretted a lot enough that he wanted the person he adored the most to kill him. Also, no one here is trying to justify his action. A justification and a reason has a clear distinction. Just because there was a reason it doesn't make the acts were justified. He himself acknowledged that. The writer didn't try to justify nor did Itachi himself. People like, Hashirama and Naruto, appreciated the role he played and praised him as a Shinobi.(being seen as a villan while protecting the people isn't easy, btw). They weren't justifying or glorifying his actions in any instance.
He wasn't an absolute nationalist. He he was an idealist. His motivations most cases(especially while making big decisions)were to 'not beget war' and 'maintain peace'. Doesn't matter if Uchihas managed to control the village it still starts war, death, destruction and countless losses which is exactly what Itachi hated from when he was 4. He also wanted to reform the village by becoming a Hokage. He wanted to wiped out the entire ninja system since ninjas were the ones who were used as a weapon for the Diamoyo start constant wars. The Leaf was sort of obnoxious in the time of Tobirama and Hiruzen's regime. But even still, the Hokages were good and passionate and also the people were innocent.
A new Forth Great Ninja war was prevented. Uchihas plan wasn't to reform the government it was to take control of them. Their desires were clearly reflected in their demands. While half of them was about freedom, the rest was only to control village. This, along with Obito's plan for revenge and war, will definitely start a war.
How do you even know it was prevented? Shisui stating that hidden villages will take advantage of Konoha’s civil war to invade was just a fear that was actually constantly proven wrong throughout the series; when Suna invaded and Konoha was destroyed (forcing it to send their most powerful shinobi out of the village to collect money) no other village took advantage of the situation, not even Kumo or Iwa, two of the big five that were not struggling politically or militarily as Suna, Kiri and Konoha were. Kumogakure even tried to kidnap Hinata while in the middle of signing a peace treaty, yet they did nothing against the Hyüga clan nor the village during one of their most vulnerable state.
Furthermore, you mean to tell me that a civil war (I am using that notion generously because Konoha is a military state with a non-civilian population, specifically trained for combat) destabilizes the military and economic power of a city, yet the complete disappearance overnight of one of the village's founding and most powerful clans does nothing to its structure? Other villages wouldn’t see the absence of Sharingan-wielders as an enticing opportunity to strike? Do you mean to tell me that a village was left without police to control it overnight (and their job is considered super important by detractors), yet the city did not succumb to chaos?
Their desires were clearly reflected in their demands.
What were their demands? Enlighten me.
While half of them was about freedom, the rest was only to control village.
Where do you get this information from? There’s nothing of the sort stated in the manga.
This, along with Obito's plan for revenge and war, will definitely start a war.
Obito’s plan needed the annihilation of the Sharingan-wielders as he didn’t want anyone capable of obtaining the Mangekyou to jeopardize his plan to control the ten-tails, Itachi killing the Uchiha literally allowed Obito to start the war!!
Madara, with the pact, was foiled for more than seven years long enough for the strong Shinobis like Naruto and Sasuke to grow up and defeat him.
… what? This doesn’t make any sense and has nothing to do with Itachi… you mean to tell me that Itachi killing his clan made Sasuke as powerful as he is? Because Sasuke has always been powerful and has always been Indra’s transmigrant, and as I’ve said, Obito wouldn’t have been able to initiate the war (or at least would’ve been incredibly difficult for him) with the Uchiha clan still alive!
Sasuke's life was saved. Itachi would go at all lengths to protect his brother. Afterall, its only obvious he would be over-protective of Sasuke since both loved each other a lot(as siblings).
An eight-year-old was tortured mentally by his brother through Tsukuyomi by watching his clan and parents get killed over and over again, was left to live alone in a compound destroyed by his brother’s actions, having to clean his parents’ own blood and fend for himself –but at least he’s alive… the circumstances and solitude in which he grew is abysmal, traumatic, negligent and inhumane, but we don’t care as much about children’s safety as we do children being just alive.
There were other children in that compound, children that knew nothing of and participated not in the coup to which Itachi didn’t extend the same kindness he did his brother.
The Uchiha's reputation were saved. Imagine what would have happened to the Uchihas after the war. The people were already suspicious of the Uchihas and now we will have never ending persecution and would be branded as traitors, doesn't matter if the coup won or lost. The coup wasn't about reforming anyway.
What “reputation”? The Uchiha were always constructed under a negative light within Tobirama’s system, you lot keep saying they were saved from being seen as detractors when there’s not a single panel that states they were planning to change the system as a whole (rather take down the current government, which is not the same).
Furthermore, to think that they cared about the rest of the population's mindset regarding them is so incredibly simplistic I have to laugh at it –they’re the strongest clan in the village, without Uchiha, there’d have been no village in the first place, and they were already aware of the unfavorable perspective in which they were regarded by others, nothing in itself would’ve changed.
The Uchiha being seen as loyal to the village helped no one but the current system as it is, as they’re seen as a government without opposition, it wasn’t about maintaining the Uchiha’s honor, but keeping the fragile credit of the structure and those in power -if Uchiha died in their own terms, then other clans will know about the clan’s discomfort with the current mindset, and those that feel uncomfortable with it might find a group that validates such sentiments:
Kakashi admits to being uncomfortable with the way he's viewed by the system, he even uses plural when referring to ninja ("we ninja") -meaning there's a communal uneasiness with the whole situation.
The fact that the government silenced detractors (Uchiha) by killing them will only deepen further the general shinobi population's discomfort, which is why is imperative to silence the truth.
[On another note, why do you keep using "honor" as an excuse to execute an entire compound of people? The entire clan was decimated and the whole "honor" of the family rested as another responsibility Sasuke had to endure all by himself thanks to "Itachi's love" -they were left with no honor as Sasuke was forced to restore it! Furthermore, they're all dead! What is "honor" gonna do for them? For the massacred innocents at least? They did nothing wrong and were killed regardless, their honorable nature wasn't even being questioned!]
People in the village got to be safe too.
Safe of what? When was it stated they were going to fight against those who weren’t in power? The problem is they rebelling against those they deem their oppressors but not the government refusing to renounce their power in order to keep the “population they hold so dear” safe? They are both willing to kill innocents (so I guess some people in the village weren’t safe, but in your book, they don’t matter as much), and use the rest of the military population to strike against Uchiha (which is also, never actually stated!). The idea of a “within war” was never confirmed as the Uchiha had no chance to strike, no one is to say they weren’t trying to take power through force yet quietly, no one is to know what was their actual plan as that was never brought to light!
The Uchiha are wrong for wanting to take the power but the government isn't wrong for wanting to keep it, the Uchiha are wrong for their methods to seek authority but not the government for defending the status quo. Uchiha having power would mean annihilation, somehow, despite them being against just their oppressors, not Konoha as a whole; while the government seeks to protect the village despite massacring an entire and most important portion of their militia and one of the founders' clans.
And despite all these he still regretted a lot enough that he wanted the person he adored the most to kill him.
He regretted nothing, he wanted Sasuke to kill him in order to both give him an objective and to distract him from finding out Konoha’s involvement in the Uchiha Massacre, shouldering the entire responsibility of their demisse.
Also, no one here is trying to justify his action.
But you are, you wrote point after point why he had to kill his clan.
A justification and a reason has a clear distinction.
What distinction? You need to expand on the notions you think are relevant to you own argument.
Just because there was a reason it doesn't make the acts were justified. He himself acknowledged that. The writer didn't try to justify nor did Itachi himself. People like, Hashirama and Naruto, appreciated the role he played and praised him as a Shinobi.(being seen as a villan while protecting the people isn't easy, btw). They weren't justifying or glorifying his actions in any instance.
What are you even writing? I’m being honest with that question, claiming to have a reason to kill his clan is used as a justification for his actions! I can’t believe I have to explain that to you. He never said he had no justification (their coup was treated as such over and over, everyone took advantage of them wanting to coup in order to both order the massacre and carry it out!!).
How on earth can you write “People like Hashirama and Naruto appreciated the role he played and praised him as a shinobi but they never justified him”, so are they praising him or not? Them positively reinforcing Itachi and praising him for “his sacrifice” (you see, not only he is perceived as a villain, he is a villain, he killed an entire kin -again, innocents included, in order to maintain specific people in power) is justifying his actions under the notion of the “greater good for the village”.
He wasn't an absolute nationalist.
He did everything for Konoha! He even claimed himself to be “Itachi of the Leaf!” What are you even talking about?
He he was an idealist. His motivations most cases(especially while making big decisions)were to 'not beget war' and 'maintain peace'.
Yet his actions concluded in Obito being able to control the Ten Tails with almost no real opposition as the only other Sharingan-wielder was Sasuke.
Doesn't matter if Uchihas managed to control the village it still starts war, death, destruction and countless losses which is exactly what Itachi hated from when he was 4.
How do you know? Do you have an entirely new manga written by Kishimoto about what would’ve happened had the Uchiha taken over the village? Itachi hated Uchiha since he was four because they brought “war, death and destruction” but not Konoha that actually provoked such wars, deaths, and destruction, what an intelligent boy!
You have to be a troll because, man, “unbiased opinion” my ass. Also, did you just come to my blog with arguments coming from Itachi Shinden? The story not written by Kishimoto?
He also wanted to reform the village by becoming a Hokage. He wanted to wiped out the entire ninja system since ninjas were the ones who were used as a weapon for the Diamoyo start constant wars.
Funny, under Hiruzen’s regime he would’ve never become Hokage, furthermore, when did he even hinted to want to become Hokage?? Never in the entire manga. Also, the Daimyo did little to nothing when it came to wars, those were all the Kage’s responsibilities! Dear Lord, did you at least read Team 10’s Arc? Asuma’s background literally explains how the Shugonin Jūnishi fought each other because six of them wanted the entire military power of the Land of Fire to be managed by the Daimyo alone while the rest, Asuma included, defended the Hokage’s existence.
The Leaf was sort of obnoxious in the time of Tobirama and Hiruzen's regime. But even still, the Hokages were good and passionate and also the people were innocent.
Which people were innocent? The children and non-Sharingan wielders that knew nothing of the coup and were massacred regardless? How can you write “the Hokages were good” while they literally ordered the mass killing of people they swore to protect? How can you use “obnoxious” and “good” to describe the same two people?!
Gosh, the fact that you lot (Itachi stans) don’t comprehend that his involvement in the massacre of his own people alongside the protagonist’s endorsement of state-sanctioned genocide, makes the annihilation of an entire portion of a village a plausible option to handle internal disagreements is disastrous.
Committing genocide against the village’s own people sets a dangerous precedent where future governments can see and use such slaughter as a conceivable, even necessary, tool at their disposal whenever they feel threatened, making any clan vulnerable to the decisions of its government and guaranteeing the silence of possible detractors or even the censorship of constructive criticism of the political, military, economic and cultural system.
Jesus.
Meeting Aisling (CYOA) 3
hiiiii ough this took forever :( don’t feel like it’s super good but new character! yay!!! he’s normal guys i promise (fingers crossed behind my back)
contains: captivity, faerie carewhumper, dryad guy of unknown whumperee status, references to past abduction(s), fantasy whump, fantasy setting, manhandling.
—————————————————
You decide to look for anything that could help you escape— or at the very least tell you where you are. The window is the obvious thing to look at, considering it’s the only other possible way out of the room. The gaps in the vines are big enough for you to stick your hands through, but you probably couldn’t get much further.
From the holes, you can see a village beneath the structure you’re in. People. There are people here. If you made enough noise, maybe someone would come and save you.
The trees around the village are thicker than most of the houses. Massive structures that you can’t even see the tops of. Branches as big as trains.
Even if the window wasn’t obscured, it’d be too high to jump from. You’re not going to have much luck with it.
You walk over to the vanity in one of the other parts of the room. The mirror greets you with your disgruntled state, twigs and flowers sticking out of tangled hair.
The table is covered with all kinds of trinkets. Bells, flower circlets, crystals, little animals made of glass. It may have been a charming collection under different circumstances, but unfortunately you don’t have time to focus on something so small.
Besides the vanity, there’s also a desk filled to the brim with papers and books. Bottles of ink line the shelf above it. Great, the weirdo that kidnapped you is a writer. You can definitely use that to escape. Maybe threaten to set some of his manuscripts on fire or give him a bad review. That’ll show him.
You groan and go back over to the bed, flopping onto the soft mattress. Despite your amazing investigative skills, you’d somehow neglected the plate of fresh berries on the bedside table. Just looking at them makes your mouth water.
If you’re going to escape, you have to have some fuel in you, right?
As you reach out to grab one of the fruits, something snaps around your wrist and yanks it away.
“Don’t eat that.”
The roots around your arm squeeze it tightly. After you recover from the shock, you turn to face the source of the voice.
The tree.
The fucking tree.
Or what was a tree five seconds ago, at least. Of course. Why not? Magical bug men, talking trees, sure. Just throw in a dancing bear at this point.
The tree— or man, you’re not sure what to describe it as— is giving you a hard glare. It’s entirely made of wood, save for its flowering hair and a few rogue blossoms. If looks could kill, you have a feeling that they wouldn’t be able to put your corpse back together.
It slowly retracts its branches from your wrist, forming them back into a more hand-like structure.
He inspects you for a moment.
“…His standards get lower by the hour. Goodness, where did he even find you? A dog park?” The— whatever he is, scoffs.
Your cheeks flush with embarrassment. He wasn’t wrong, you did look like a mess, but that doesn’t mean his words don’t hurt.
He plucks a leaf from your hair and grins. “I mean, this is just sad. And I thought the last one was bad… No, you take the cake. Anyways, how long were you planning on staying here? Come up with any daring escape plans yet? Please, do tell.”
Even if you had, telling this thing seemed like a bad idea. He definitely doesn’t have your best interests in mind.
“What?” The man(?) frowns. “Too harsh? Alright, fine. I should have just started with names. Have you given yours to him yet?”
You shake your head.
“Good. Don’t. Anyways, since you won’t have much of a use for it anyways, mine is Oleander. You don’t have to give me yours if you don’t want to. I’d like to keep this interaction as quick as possible. Feel free to ask questions though. Better to hear it than learn from experience in this case.”
Well, you sure had a lot of questions. Why are you here? Where is here? What is he? What snatched you away to begin with?
“Ohh, you’re one of the panicky ones. Alright, well, for starters, you’re in a tree. Or a palace. Whatever you’d like to imagine it as, honestly. I don’t know the exact reason you were brought here, but I have a few guesses. Let’s just say none of them are situations anyone would want to be in.” He keeps up with your rapid-fire, only taking a moment in between questions.
“I’m what’s called a dryad. Essentially, a plant with a consciousness and a body created by magic— You do know what magic is, right? Yes? Alright, that saves some explaining. I don’t really want to get into detail about what a faerie is, but that’s what the other man was. Anyways, I’ll be brief, I don’t want you here, and I’m assuming you don’t want to be here either, right?”
You nod.
“Good. That saves me some trouble. I’m going to help you escape. Now, he’s probably going to be back within the next ten or so minutes. You’re not going to mention me to him, understand? He doesn’t know I exist, and I want to keep it that way.”
After you give another nod, he sighs in relief. You watch as Oleander moves back towards the center of the room, his wood skin slowly morphing, bending, and reshaping until you’re left “alone” again.
Your chest feels lighter. There’s still a chance to escape. While you’re still not entirely sure you can trust your new companion, he’s still a failsafe if you can’t find another way out of here.
Just a few minutes later, the door swings open and a familiar person enters the room.
Person? Was that right?
Ai smiles at you, slit pupils you hadn’t noticed previously practically glistening when he spots you at the far end of the room.
“Oh— Hi! You’re awake now? Is everything alright? You look a little shaken up…” He flutters over to you.
Flutters. Right. Wings.
You can’t help but stare. Whatever you’d met in the woods hardly resembled him now. The fae in front of you dawned a long, fairly intricate cloak. His skin— or fur, it’s honestly hard to tell, is a soft pink. He’s not unpleasant looking in any sense, just… Unusual. If it weren’t for the sharp teeth, he’d almost look approachable.
He’s acting like he’s actually concerned about you. Like he didn’t just take you to an entire new dimension. Like there’s any other reason that you’d be upset. You just continue to stare, unable to create a response with the knot in your throat.
Ai sets a hand on your shoulder reassuringly. “Upset? That’s okay. I know it’s a lot for you to take in. I hope you don’t feel like I was trying to deceive you before in the woods… I just thought you seemed interesting! I wanted to get to know you a bit before… Well, before all of this. I didn’t mean to rush you.” You’re hardly paying attention to what he’s saying. He kidnapped you. Of course you’re upset!
“You probably feel scared, don’t you? I… I want to say that I won’t hurt you. Those aren’t my intentions with you. Why don’t we get to know each other a bit better? I want to understand you, and I want you to be able to understand me, too. I know this isn’t the best first impression… But I really didn’t want to have to mess with your memories again. I want to do it right this time.”
This is insane. You can’t read him. What does he want from you? He said he doesn’t want to hurt you, but none of his actions so far have even slightly supported that. He abducted you. He chased you through the fucking woods. What other reason could he possibly have for keeping you here?
“Go ahead, ask me anything.”
