Hansen-Løve resists the inherent melodrama of her material despite the nature of her protagonist’s personal problems, grief, and central love affair. Her briskly intimate film offers another wondrous piece of everyday life told through a subdued but emotional relationship drama anchored by [Léa] Seydoux’s quietly heartwrenching performance.

Character ask: Fiyero and Boq (Wicked)

I'm not really a die-hard Wicked fan, but here goes. This is for the musical only, since I haven't read the novel.

Warning: spoilers below.

Fiyero

Favorite thing about them: That despite seeming like a silly playboy at first, he proves to be a kindred sprit to Elphaba, who loves and respects her as she is, who tries to help and defend her when no one else in Oz is willing to do so, and who ultimately sacrifices everything for her, even (nearly) his life.

Least favorite thing about them: That he leads Glinda on by not breaking up with her even as he starts to fall for Elphaba, and then goes along with their engagement even though he doesn't want to marry her. He should have ended things between them long before it reached that point.

Three things I have in common with them:

*I can be snarky.

*I dislike fakeness and selling out.

*I can seem like just a fun-lover, but really I think and feel deeply.

Three things I don't have in common with them:

*I'm female.

*I'm not royalty.

*I was never a partying troublemaker in college.

Favorite line: His joke when Elphaba tells him she realizes he's not as shallow and self-absorbed as he seems:

"Excuse me, there's no pretense here: I happen to be genuinely self-absorbed and deeply shallow."

And these lines from his dialogue with Glinda at the beginning of Act II, where he calls her out on her tragic flaw of choosing fame and popularity over everything else:

"You can't leave because you can't resist this. And that is the truth."

And when she objects that no one could resist it: "You know who could. Who has."

brOTP: His horse Feldspur in the movie, and probably Boq, especially if we keep the Scarecrow and Tin Man's friendship in mind. Not to mention Dorothy, even though their interactions are kept offstage.

OTP: Elphaba.

nOTP: Glinda.

Random headcanon: Hmmm... In the movie, he really did eat grass as a child. He's not just joking when he says he did.

Unpopular opinion: I like him better than Glinda as a romantic partner for Elphaba. Of course I understand that Elphaba and Glinda's bond is more central and more fleshed out, I see the appeal of Gelphie as a ship, and I know how much Gelphie means to countless fans. But personally? Without denying Glinda's importance to Elphaba, I prefer Fiyero as her love interest. He embraces her values and comes through for her in a way that Glinda only does at the very end, and no attempts I've read by Gelphie shippers to dismiss that fact ring true for me. As a couple, Fiyeraba reminds me in many ways of Esmeralda and Phoebus in Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame (these Stephen Schwartz musicals have recurring themes!), and I don't see many fans putting down that pairing, even though they're a bit underdeveloped too, and even though Esmeralda's friendship with Quasimodo is more central to the plot. On the contrary, the fans hold up their love as the main example of healthy love in that story! Besides, if we don't think Elphaba really loves Fiyero, then "No Good Deed" loses its power. If he's just "comphet" to her, why should his apparent death break her so much that she resolves to really be wicked and kidnaps Dorothy? And the reveal that he's still alive is what snaps her out of her breakdown and lets her reconcile with Glinda in the end. I have nothing against shipping Gelphie, but I can't dismiss Fiyeraba as just "boring comphet" the way most of the fandom seems to do.

Favorite thing about them: Well, when we first meet him at least, he's a sweet, adorkable character, and if the Tin Man we know from The Wizard of Oz is a mostly accurate portrait of how he behaves on his journey with Dorothy, he never really loses those qualities.

Least favorite thing about them: First that he leads Nessarose on (a recurring flaw among the young men in this story, it seems) and lies about why he asked her out, even if his reason is to avoid hurting her. And later, of course, that he becomes such a bloodthirsty witch hunter, out to kill Elphaba for turning him into tin even though she saved his life by doing so.

Three things I have in common with them:

*I can be socially awkward.

*I'm not always good at standing up for myself.

*Sometimes I want to blame people for doing things that made me uncomfortable, when really those things were good for me.

Three things I don't have in common with them:

*I'm female.

*I've never had any romantic entanglements with witches.

*I've never been turned into tin.

Favorite line: His verse in "March of the Witch Hunters," even though it's his darkest moment:

And this is more than just a service to the Wizard I have a personal score to settle with El... With The Witch!

It's due to her I'm made of tin Her spell made this occur So for once, I'm glad I'm heartless I'll be heartless killing her!

And the Lion also has a grievance to repay If she'd let him fight his own battles When he was young He wouldn't be a coward, today!

brOTP: In the Shiz days before things go bad, Fiyero, Nessarose, Elphaba and Glinda (especially in the deleted scene from the movie that shows them all hanging out together). And after he becomes the Tin Man, Dorothy.

OTP: None.

nOTP: Nessarose or Glinda.

Random headcanon: When he sees Elphaba "melt," he'll be unexpectedly horrified; he'll find himself remembering their days at Shiz and the girl she once was, and realize that seeing her die horribly doesn't feel as good as he thought it would. (I'm basing this on the Tin Man's close-to-tears face after the Witch melts in the 1939 Wizard of Oz: we'll see if Wicked: For Good has Ethan Slater react in a similar way or not.)

Unpopular opinion: Even though he's far from blameless, nothing justifies Nessarose stripping him and all the other Munchkins of their rights and forcing him to stay with her, then trying to magically brainwash him into loving her. He may deserve some karma for lying about his feelings for her, but he doesn't deserve all that.

This is my first time posting a fic on here, but my bio does say writer, so here's a Criminal Minds fic about if Prentiss had POTS. Cross posted on AO3. It is a casefic, but nothing is graphic.

The whole team was feeling the exhaustion that comes with getting only five hours of sleep in a hotel bed on an away case, but it was hitting Emily especially hard. They were in the police precinct building the profile of an unsub who had already killed at least four young women.

It was late October and JJ and Hotch were both worried about making it home in time to take Henry and Jack trick-or-treating at the end of the week, so everyone was putting in extra effort to make sure that would happen.

Emily pulled her blazer on at the desk, suddenly much more aware of how off her body was feeling. She was freezing, a little shaky, and really tired. She stood unsteadily, excused herself, and walked toward the bathroom, hoping that splashing some water on her face would wake her up a bit more. The further down the hallway she got, the less her legs seemed to work.

Each step felt like a marathon of effort and after a quick glance to make sure no one was around, she pressed a hand to the wall for support.

When she finally made it to the women’s room, she leaned against the counter, splashing water on her face, feeling like she could barely stand. She reached for her phone, not wanting to call JJ for help, but uncertain as to how she would get back to the conference room where they were set up without help.

“Fuck,” Emily swore, realizing her phone was still on the desk. With that realization, Emily started the long, seemingly impossible, journey back from the bathroom. She felt like she could barely walk, much less function.

When she eventually returned to the conference room, it was empty. Confused as to where her team had gone, she checked her phone hoping for an explanation. There was a message from JJ saying they were going to check out an address Garcia had found and that she should grab her FBI vest and meet them at the SUVs in the parking lot.

Emily struggled to text back that she felt really off and didn’t think she should go with. She asked JJ to come up with some excuse.

As the dizziness took over, she flipped to the camera app on her phone, terrified for what was about to happen, but certain she should document it. She propped the device up against a box of files on the desk, clicked record, and closed her eyes, hoping that would make the room stop moving around her. Everything slowed, even her thoughts.

I wonder if this is what passing out feels like…? Fuck, I’m going to pass out…

Emily blinked a few times before she could reach out and pause the video, slightly afraid to watch it back. The door beside her opened and closed and a worried JJ was by her side in an instant.

“Are you ok? What happened? I told Hotch you were sick and he told me I should stay back and check on you.”

“I… I think I passed out,” Emily whispered. “And I’m kinda scared right now.”

"Ok, shhh. It’s ok.” JJ wrapped her arms around Emily allowing her head to rest on her shoulder. “What do you mean you think you passed out?”

“I got it on video, I think. I just remember my legs not really working and feeling really cold. Then I thought that I was gonna pass out and…”

"How long were you out for?”

“I don’t know. I haven’t watched the video yet. It only just happened and…” Her thoughts still weren’t fully formed.

“That’s ok. Do you feel comfortable watching it or do you wanna give me your phone so I can see what happened.”

“I can handle it.” Emily unlocked her phone slowly and clicked play on the video that was up. She was only halfway in the frame, but it was still obvious when her eyes closed and her head tilted forward a few seconds later. About ten seconds later, the recording of Emily opened her eyes again looking around the room. Then the video ended.

“I know I closed my eyes, but I don’t remember leaning forward.”

“So, you were unconscious for at least a few seconds?”

“Yeah,” Emily sighed, tears starting to form, but she didn’t have the energy to cry.

“It was smart to record it. I’m gonna take you back to the hotel now. You look exhausted. I promise I’ll stay with you.” JJ paused to think, as she slowly helped Emily stand and lean against her. “How about I tell Hotch you have a fever? I know you don’t want him to know the truth, but I need him to know it’s serious enough you shouldn’t be in the field and that he’ll let me stay with you.”

Hi, Lea! Thanks for submitting a second request for my 100 follower celebration! We absolutely needed more fuzzy, fluffy sweet Mickey fics, and I hope you like this one! Without further ado, here is my take on "I love you doesn’t begin to express what I feel for you" with Mickey Garcia!🥰🥰🥰

Mi Reina, Mi Vida

You and your family live about three hours outside of Disney California Adventure. So, of course, you've been to the amusement park at least once a year since your children were born. The first times you went with your family were ostensibly for each of your children's first birthdays. All the remaining were for the man you married. Even the kids knew those trips were for their dad. He absolutely adored riding all the rides, happily taking each of your kids on each as many times as they wanted. And he was just the biggest, most adorable nerd, too.

But neither of you have ever attempted to go without the kids. So when it came time to plan your fifth anniversary present to your husband, you thought immediately of the place that gave him so much joy. You honestly couldn't think of a more fun trip for him and his friends. You love Disney. Let's not get you wrong. It's just that after yearly trips with the kids, it takes a bit to make you as excited as Mickey was. You figured that you could definitely convince Reuben, Jake, and Bradley to join him.

But while that's what the men will be doing the weekend after your anniversary, you have special kid-free plans of your own with your husband. And that starts with you making reservations at the restaurant where Mickey had proposed to you. That sorted, you usher all your kids into their Uncle Reuben's tender loving care and walk right into the shower. Mickey gets home as you're shaving your legs while your conditioner soaks into your hair.

"Reina, are you here?" His voice never fails to make you smile.

"I'm in the shower, Miguel!" Your own voice is sweet even while you're using his full name. You hear his heavy footsteps as he tramps through your bedroom to stand in the bathroom door.

"Reina, look at you!" His voice is a purring growl even as his eyes rake hungrily over your bare form.

"Mickey! I'm just shaving my legs. You've seen it a million times before. And it was how we made Maria if I remember correctly." You're giggling at the hungry look on his face as you sit back down on the edge of the tub and rinse your legs off. The clink of his belt buckle as he sheds his uniform is the only warning you have before he joins you under the shower.

You can't help melting into the strong arms that have held you and each of your children with so much love and care. You can't afford to stay there for very long, though, so you turn in his arms, pressing a kiss into Mickey's collarbone while he massages the conditioner out of your hair. You press a kiss to his mouth before pulling away and wrapping a towel around yourself.

"Reina, where are you going?" He sounds so petulant at losing the feeling of your skin on his.

"We have dinner reservations, Miguel!" You're not even trying to hide your smile at his tone, a tone which your youngest two, his mini-mes, copy with impunity.

"We can't miss the reservation?" You finish towel drying your hair as you hear the clatter of the soap bottles in the shower as he starts to suds up.

"No, darling, we can't. Unless you want me to cancel the reservation at Marisco's for no reason." His answering groan makes you giggle. "Alicia promised to reserve a good table for us."

"I'll be out in five, mi vida." You love your husband. Have you mentioned that yet?

Sure enough, he's out of the shower before you've even finished curling your hair. He presses a kiss against your shoulder before walking over to the bed and roughly drying off. You grin at Mickey in the mirror while he dresses, trying not to get sidetracked by his ass, thighs, arms or abs as he covers each in fabric.

He takes his time, ensuring each garment lays just right against his skin. He's going to look perfectly delicious in the Navy blue suit and bright white shirt you'd laid out. And those clothes will look even better on the floor once you both get home.

You finish getting dressed while avoiding Mickey's wandering hands. Mickey is why you've never felt self-conscious about your changing body after giving birth to three children. He's always looked at you like you are the most beautiful woman in the world. And you feel like it right now, too, wearing a navy dress to match Mickey's suit. You keep your jewelry simple, accessorizing with the diamond earrings and necklace set he bought you for your first anniversary and your wedding and engagement rings. The final part of your outfit is your heels, which Mickey does the straps for before he twirls you around for a kiss that you don't have to stand on tip-toes for.

You slip your phone and your present into your clutch and grin when Mickey helps you into the car. Marisco's is just as you remember it, beautiful and quiet. This is decidedly not a restaurant where one would bring a 4 year old and 14 month old twins. Everything is delicious as well. You wait to pull your gift out until after you've eaten your entrées.

"Happy Anniversary, Miguel Garcia. I love you. Thank you for every day where you've made me incandescently happy and thank you for the three babies you gave me."

His eyes are glistening in the candlelight as he carefully slits the envelope open. You can see his mouth part as he looks at the four tickets and all the special passes you'd bundled together for the day.

"Reina," You're surprised to hear the hitch in his voice as he starts to speak. "I love you doesn’t begin to express what I feel for you. How did you plan all of this? And what about the babies? I can't leave you alone with them."

"Mickey, who said I was going to be alone? Tasha and Abby are coming over. And I'm sure if I beg, Soph will join us too. This is just for you, Jake, Reuben and Bradley. You deserve the chance to run around the park and have fun, too." Your smile is fond as you take your husband's hand, playing with his wedding band. "Run free and be a fanboy, my love."

Just as Mickey presses a kiss to your knuckles, the band begins to play and you find yourself whisked out onto the dance floor. Dancing with Mickey is what made you fall in love with him. He'd pulled you out of your head and kept you laughing until you forgot to feel self conscious about how your body looked as you did the moves. Tonight is no different. You have a blast pulling out your rusty salsa moves, and you have just as much fun laying your head against his broad chest as you sway to a slower beat. The two of you dance for about an hour before Mickey pays and takes you home.

It's odd hearing the house so silent and to not have the baby monitor on as you both get ready for bed. But all those feelings fade the minute you're curled up to your husband and getting the breath kissed from your lungs. Tonight's going to be a Happy Anniversary, indeed. You're just glad you got a birth control implant after the twins. Otherwise, you're sure baby Garcia number four would have been in the making.
