light leaves dark sees part 1 is one of my favourite lc! songs because it’s like. idk the significance of being such an overwhelmingly earnest and sincere love song when so much of lc’s discography is sarcastic and miserable (to be reductive). like. the band that gave us every defeat a divorce and selling rope (swan dive to estuary) also wrote the lyrics ‘a piece of paper said “write nice words about me here” well one hundred puppies would not have nothing on you they got nothing on me’. don’t even get me fucking started on we need a dog on a leash as a place to start i need a heart on a lease for you to rip apart i mean i will actually start bawling. im like a dog on my knees as i lap you up. like jesus christ gareth

I don't know why Hybe thinks this plan is gonna work when it might actually end up doing the opposite. The more Jimin gets mistreated the more his fans get angry and the angrier they get the harder they work. Notice how much Jimin's solo fandom increased in 2023 and how much we have improved since FACE era. We're seeing the results of that improvement now with MUSE doing better than FACE. If all that bullshit hadn't happened, if Jimin had a smooth ride then we wouldn't have had the need to learn and improve so we could support him. Which is why jjks are useless, because they didn't have to learn how to get shit done on their own, they just let armys and the company do everything.

And speaking of armys, what is happening with pjms is exactly what happened with them. BTS mostly didn't get much from BigHit/Hybe so armys had to learn how to do things themselves. BTS was also getting hate from everyone which made armys angry and we know armys always work harder when they're mad about something. And armys were also shunned by the rest of k-pop fans, named as 'the worst k-pop fandom' and blamed for every bad thing that happened. The same thing is happening with pjms being ostracized from the rest of the fandom, named 'the worst solo fandom' and blamed for everything. And just like all of that made armys hyper focus on BTS and work even harder, pjms are also focused entirely on Jimin and do everything we can for him. So again, I don't know why Hybe thinks doing this to pjms is a good idea considering the fact that the same thing happening to armys only made BTS bigger.

Despite what ot7 nonsense armys like spreading the truth is that most fans are very biased. Every fan has their favorite member and if that member is continuously being treated poorly by the company and the fandom then this member's fans are at a risk of becoming solos, especially if they're being scrutinize and villainized by the rest of the fandom the way that Jimin fans are. I mean, armys are practically forcing Jimin-biased out of the fandom with the way the act because if Jimin fans are gonna be accused of being solos no matter what they might as well actually become solos. So doing all of this is only gonna increased Jimin's solo fandom which, as we've seen since last year, is actually what members need since they can't depend on the group's fans when it comes to their solo work. And we know that after some time focusing on the group after their comeback the members are eventually gonna go back to focusing on their individual carrers and the group is gonna be pushed to the back more and more as the years pass. So having a well established solo fandom that already knows how to support their artist is gonna be essential for the members in the future, and Jimin is the only member that currently has that. Jungkook doesn't have to worry about that because despite jjks being useless he has armys who the company has increasingly been pushing into become only his fans, but the other members are gonna have a rude awakening when they go solo for real and realize they have no proper fandom to back them up.

And another thing is that despite Hybe's attempts Jimin remains the most popular member in the US (and in Korea, Latam and the UK too) so is very stupid of Hybe to push away the audience they've been pretty clear they want the most. We already saw the consequences of that with all other members (including their chosen one) being unable to chart a single song in the US (NP doesn't count cause that's Megan) all while Jimin has charted multiple songs, hasn't left the US charts since we recharted LC in the beginning of the year, occupies the entire top 5 of biggest streaming days and weeks in the US, is the most streamed k-soloist in the US with quite the gap and Who is soon gonna be the most streamed k-pop song in the US (which LC isn't already only because we started focusing on Who instead).

So Hybe can keep pushing Jimin fans away from the group because all that does is take away BTS biggest supporters in the west and it will only benefit Jimin by giving him a solid fandom of his own for when he goes solo.

Is it me or me or does Jimin feed ymnrs? Like what was that when Yoongi was having his op and he referred to himself as his tangerine? Or when he posed on the set of LC with a tangerine and had the cults ops foaming at the mouth? Or how every interview last year he was mentioned Yoongi and Yoongi him, or they were purposely paired together? What did Yoongi mean when he visited Jimin on set and said something about building there reputation? Or when Jimin signed Yoongis guitar littleJerry? Or the fan sign call where Yoongi gave the cult ops a new ship name? Or that weird show they both went on? The fact Jimin called Yoongi on the show? Why? There was so much?

Erhhhh anon, maybe because Jimin and yoongi are actually friends? And yes it is you.

Why would you view them mentioning each other and doing things together as them trying to feed shippers? Those are two friends who love and care about each other and evidently, spent a lot of time together in the solo era so why wouldn’t they talk about each other to their hearts’ content?

I’m sorry but the way some of you view life sometimes makes me think you don’t understand the concept of two people being friends. How does anything you have listed above point to an anyone feeding a ship? Also, how many times have the members coined unit names for themselves? Vope, Taekook, Jungji, Jijinjung, mini mini, sugacookie, Jiyoon etc? Where is the fire anon?

Jimin and Yoongi spent a lot of time together in the solo era so it is only natural that they would talk about each other a lot. Yoongi is someone Jimin has always looked up to and someone whom he respects a lot and we recently found out from Jimin that Yoongi played a very important role in him remaining in the group. Jimin is someone Yoongi has always favored and a donsaeng he admires and respects too. They are close, so there is absolutely nothing wrong in Jimin talking about Yoongi as much as he wants or doing things that could be associated to him. Jin got out of the military and mentioned Jk several times, even wore Jk’s merch shirt and took a picture with it, would you consider that as him feeding Jinkookers?

These boys are friends and bandmates before they are anything else so stop viewing every little things they do and say through a shipping lens. They don’t walk, talk and breathe shipping and they certainly don’t live their whole lives trying to please shippers.

LC's Link Click fic shout-outs

I worry I'm going to come off as nagging but I do feel strongly about it. Link Click has some INCREDIBLE fic, written by people who put a lot of time and energy and effort into writing, but they don't always get a ton of reader interaction. I feel like I often find a fic I enjoy, scroll down to comment, and find I'm maybe one of 2 or 3 people to comment on it.

Link Click is technically not a small fandom--on the contrary, it's so incredibly active! But it seems that unless a fic was published in the s1 era or happens to get lucky, this is the norm. Which strikes me as sad, because the fandom is popping and active on other platforms.

So here are a handful of fics (by no means exhaustive) of fics that I've thoroughly enjoyed that I had scrolled down and went, They deserve so much love! (again, not exhaustive!)

Qiao Ling and Lu Guang talk. Much is left unsaid.

It's such a subtle fic, but so effective in showing Lu Guang's emotions, Qiao Ling's worry, and the nature of their relationship in conjunction to Cheng Xiaoshi. It's truly just so soft and nice.

I just love a Qiao Ling confronts Lu Guang about Cheng Xiaoshi's death fic, and this one really captures big sister Qiao Ling and how much she cares about both of her boys. I love it!

Lu Guang rarely fumbles, rarely cracks, and rarely steps up to the sparring mat first. Nevertheless, on a random day in the middle of September, he does all three. Alternatively, Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi can't figure out why their best friend seems so *wrong* for no explicable reason.

A slice of life fic that adds such a delicious sprinkle of angst at Lu Guang's expense hehe. But it makes me feel so sad for Lu Guang, who just is so traumatized of losing Cheng Xiaoshi, and then it gives him a soft encouragement at the end. It's so sweet.

Instinct (Part One) by JordannaMorgan

Man, this fic is so CREATIVE. It is great at suspense, kept me on the edge of my seat from chapter to chapter, and the Cheng Xiaoshi angst is so delicious. And then the ENDING. gahhh, I cannot wait for Part Two and really hope that it will come!! I think about this fic so often

After three long years, for the very first time ever, Lu Guang finally gets to turn 20.

It's just ... gahhhh. Cheng Xiaoshi is my blorbo, yes, but Lu Guang being so relieved and emotional at the end because he's finally done it, and is turning another year older because he no longer has to dive back because his friend is alive??? GAHHHHH

This is a lovely case fic that is so thoughtfully, emotionally, and tenderly told. I love the compassion that the story has for the characters, and it gives me the feelings that the Earthquake arc concluded with--finding joy and kindness even within the tragedy. I really love it.

Gosh, this fic is so goooood. I love the speculation of what the first time round was like, and GOSH it's just such a gut punch of dramatic irony, of both CXS and LG being bold and idealistic and naive, and then how it tragically leads to CXS' death. It's EXCELLENT.

The salty breeze feels nice. Cheng Xiaoshi smiles as he kneels down in the sand, happy they managed to make it in time for golden hour. Cheng Xiaoshi holds up the camera to capture his shot.

I LOVE ME SOME PARALLEL SCENES THAT ARE CONNECTED AND INTERTWINED BY AN EMOTIONAL MOTIF!! The juxtaposition of two types of golden hours is done so well, and both are so full of energy of opposite kinds in such a well balanced way. I was so excited when I heard this fic was being written and I was so happy reading it.

Okay but like let's talk about their concepts in general over this solo era matching. Forewarning. Seriously, stop reading now, because I WILL be my most delusional about their matchiness in this post. Lol so you can't be mad about it now if you keep reading.

Solo projects from 2022 - 2023....

Jimin against the sun, JK against the Moon.... Those are each other's monikers.... It's like they are bringing each other into their solo work still. Istg

Seriously those me photo book projects they did?? Tell me these shots don't give off similar "vibes"

AND let's talk about those photofolios more. These were solo project works. And yet they always are complimenting each other in them. JKs card matches Jimins color themes and has the moon phases across the bottom. And Jimins matches JKs color scheme and has crowns along the bottom.

They put each other's tattoos on their photofolio cards.... Like my dudes...

AND then much later with newer solo projects, their invite cards for their live events for ARMY are totally matching and complimentary, which could just be a company thing sure, but the color schemes are perfect sun and moon color schemes..which again, is their monikers.

Like it's canon, they are the sun and moon. And they bring each other into their solo works. It really seems like they do this intentionally. Lol but again! What do I know!! They are just always so matchy and fit together like the most perfect of puzzle pieces 💜
