I'm still learning so much BL history and I was hoping you'd be willing to elaborate a little on your tag "Saint has given so much to an industry that was so cruel to him." I really only know that he worked with Perth and Zee but I don't know anything beyond that.

Whatever you are imagining, I guarantee it’s worse…

So Saint and Perth worked on Love by Chance together in 2018 and there was a lot of drama going on behind the scenes between their managers. Most of the Love by Chance cast—including Perth—was managed by the same company. I’m pretty sure Saint was the only one who wasn’t and Perth’s management did not like that. They did everything they possibly could to shun Saint from the production, including ACCUSING HIM OF BEING A SEX WORKER.

They started a bunch of rumors about how Saint’s management was selling him to rich old men and insinuated that’s how he was booking jobs. Adults said this. About a nineteen-year-old. Because they were mad he got cast in the lead role of a BL series instead of one of their actors. They eventually apologized, admitting culpability in the process, but dear lord.

It’s also important to note that Perth was a literal child at the time and had no clue what his management was doing. He and Saint have somehow managed to stay friends despite all of this, but Saint obviously refused to come back for LBC 2.

After that, Saint still agreed to do Why R U? with Zee. Their rift is a bit more run-of-the-mill—because what could possibly top accusing a teenager of being a sex worker??!—but I believe the story is that Saint pissed off some of Zee’s stans by making a joke during an interview about how Zee never texts him back. (Which is ironic coming from the FK fandom where First does this to Khaotung literally all the time.) Zee’s stans canceled him, doing the usual cyberbullying routine on social media, and he hasn’t been in a BL since.

Truly, I don’t think this industry has put anyone through more hell than Saint and although he never really talks about it, Perth has gotten a lot more open in recent years about how much the industry has damaged his mental health and I have to think a lot of that is because of this incident specifically. He was only sixteen at the time!

But despite (or maybe because of) all of that, Saint created a production company that seems to treat its actors very well and encourages them to live life to the queerest if that’s what they want to do. I doubt we’ll ever see Saint act in anything that he isn’t producing himself again, which is a shame, but I will always be thankful to him for taking a chance on GAP. He literally paid for that production out of his own pocket with no guarantee that it would be successful simply because he believed that queer women should be able to see themselves represented on screen. He’s a true ally and that’s why I try to support Idol Factory regardless of whether their shows are to my taste or not.

How the LBC Male Leads Would Be Like if They Were Drunk

Drunk Alkaid:

Alkaid can be emotional so it would be best if he didn’t drink alcohol at all, but he would most likely be much more honest about his feelings for MC if he was drunk perhaps. He is not the type to drink alcohol and he might have low tolerance and get flushed in the face, speaking cutesy gibberish and exclaiming how beautiful MC is compared to all the of stars in the night sky. Maybe Alkaid would be on a drunken rant or accidentally try to drunk text his cat Sparkles instead of MC.

Drunk Clarence:

Clarence most likely wouldn’t drink at all, but there would be alcohol served at fancy dinner parties after work with other lawyers or businessmen. He would have to attend those work functions and make business connections. Clarence would perhaps drink the very minimum just to be polite, but he is the perfect example of self-control. In fact, he would be the designated driver at parties if needed or be the one most likely to send any drunken people safely home in taxi cabs or uber pickups.

Drunk Ayn:

It’s hard to imagine drunk Ayn, but Ayn and alcohol would most definitely make a deadly combination because it would increase his appeal even more.  He drinks cola and I’m not even sure if he drinks water often enough. However, Ayn might have good tolerance and actually handle his alcohol quite well.  9 out of 10 times, Ayn would not drink alcohol at all unless if it really is for special occasions like weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and such if he wants to celebrate with some champagne.

Drunk Lars:

He is known to enjoy the occasional celebratory glass of wine (He is a wine connoisseur.) or maybe even cognac at dinners with close friends or business associates. Lars knows how to enjoy wines within reason and he is aware of his tolerance level. He wouldn’t drink to get hungover and he would still remain professional in his behavior. Like Clarence, Lars would drink to be courteous or polite with others in social events. If Lars did get drunk, he would be even funnier if he tried drunk texting Clarence some emojis in some undecipherable gibberish message.

Drunk Cael:

No way that would happen. He is a teacher/professor and he cares about his professional image around others. Maybe drunk Cael would just be more affectionate with MC and perhaps more honest too. He would probably tease Beanie with new cat toys while being drunk and laughing or do something silly and forget about it the next day.

What is activism & protest? What is interesting about activism and protest?

Before we proceed, lets understand what is activism and what is protest meaning. According to (Cambridge Dictionary, 2019), eye-catching activity and the use of direct to achieve an output, normally a political and social one. While, protest is a huge objection voicing opposition, disagreement and disapproval.

The most popular protests in United State history are in August 1963 called, March on Washington. This protest happened during Martin Luther King Jr. presented his famous speech, “I Have a Dream” and more than 200, 000 of people attended for a peaceful manifestation to call for racial equality and gathered outside the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. Because of this protest, President John F. Kennedy felt pressure to move up civil right policies. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 also succeed because of this protest. How does social media affect protest?

Obviously, social media does have a power to marshal people in protest. Through social media platforms, the wrongdoing evidence can be reported rapidly and in generally, the culprit will be responsible for their doings. For example, Black Lives Matter protests provoked worldwide when George Floyd’s murder news in May 2020 was filmed.

Sarah Everard’s murder case was used for education on gender inequality forcefully. This incident caused a protest called the Reclaim the Nights/Reclaim the Streets.

Even so, social media fast quick response to spread the news can lead to a good and bad situation. On 2011, January 25, there was a protest happened in Egypt called “day of rage” where Egyptians wants their President Hosni Mubarak who had been hold the President position for 30 years to steps down from his position on the spot.
