I never noticed this flower much before I came to live in Tennessee and I was inundated with what I thought was the same flower in everyone’s yard. What I’ve come to realize (in my ignorance) is the vast astounding varieties of them and how in every season they’re absolute stunners. Still enjoying (and obsessing over) this lovely specimen coming into fall. I detect life! I bought hibiscus more than we need. Not knowing where to plant them, just stuck them on the ground at the back fence for a few years. I decided to move two of them between our house and the neighbor since they can grow big. Moved them early fall last year and they seem to be dying even after watering the heck out of it. Being a #lazygardener, I know I cut more of the roots haphazardly. lol leaves dropped and I have a feeling they are dying. Today I found life!
