Hi I'm in love with Rathma, I've known about him for all of an hour and playing as a necromancer as my first campaign character just made that stretch of the story SO MUCH WORSE.

I mean, at this point in the story, your character is still just a nobody wanderer who's gotten mixed up in shit. Like there's no reason (for now) for them to think they're anything special. And they just got to walk through the Necropolis of the first necromancer.

And see it in ruins. And see him slain in his own sanctum.

Like even ignoring the fact that I'm absolutely reeling in simp heaven, just detaching any romantic involvement, THATS... That's such a fucking life changing moment. This awe-inspiring place, the literal birthplace of your craft, you can't tell me that a necromancer entering there wouldn't have just an inkling of hope to get to meet him... Only for that asshole angel they met to be the reason he's dead on the steps of his own sanctum... and don't get me started on having an attachment to Lilith and seeing that vision, feeling her grief for her son.
