I am Very Much Interested in the ABO fic where Johnny and Daniel are together, but Robby is Kreese’s kid with Daniel and Johnny doesn’t know hehe 👀🔥 ❤️

So am I, lol. It's an idea that has been plaguing me ever since I made the Lakreese babies in faceapp.

I don't have very much so far, just a few pages of notes, but it keeps popping into my head. I found a bit that makes sense though.

(I am realizing that I am perhaps stuck on this idea dually because I am stuck on the idea of Daniel and John in my abo verse accidentally bonding and having to deal with the aftermath. )

John Kreese was a name not unlike the devil in the lawrence-larusso household.

He walks the halls every day, hidden within the prodigal son.

Daniel loves his son more than anything. He loves Johnny. Usually. He thinks about Kreese more than he should.

I SWEAR I'm writing endgame lawrusso wips as well, lol. I just have the need to whump Johnny lately I guess.

Johnny had told Daniel he didn’t want to talk about it, but Daniel pressed the issue anyway. His dark eyes searched Johnny’s face, then his body, as he carefully bandaged his wounds (minor, thank God) and applied antibiotic cream to his cuts.

“Talk to me, Johnny. What happened?”

“Nothing,” was the mumbled reply. Daniel rolled his eyes and grabbed another Band-Aid, ripping the paper off with his teeth.

“You’re bleeding on my kitchen floor; I don’t think that qualifies as nothing.”

What was Johnny supposed to say? I fought your arch-nemesis and got my ass kicked?

“I settled a score.”

Tbh it wasn't in my plans only because previous attempts to color past seasons ended in tragic fails I couldn't even post lol, but the s5 trailer clips were so much fun to work with plus the full time additions of Terry and Chozen to the cast (and spending so much time with Daniel!) are kind of irresistible 😅

Just got back from a trip and haven't had time to watch but missed giffing a ton so here's to queuing some eps up as we speak and maybe getting a quick set done for you!

This is also going to be tough, and I bet by tomorrow I'll be like "Nooooooo you should have picked THIS!" 🤣

Anyway, here goes...

1: Season 3 episode 2

I can't pick a single part from this episode, so I'm going to pick the entire thing as my favourite Johnny Lawrence moment. Like the WHOLE thing lol.

This episode influenced SO many of my fics. Good Cop, Bad Cop Situation was totally based on this episode. North had elements of it too with them stopping at a gas station for food.

I love this episode because of the whump, because of how angry Johnny is, the chop shop fight, the look on his face when Daniel says maybe Robby has a little too much of him in him, and most of all, when Miguel asks him why this happened and he says "I don't know." The look on his face make me 😭

2: HAM?

I have family in LA. Last time I went to stay with them in 2019 they had ham in their fridge, and I thought "Oh, ham. I'll make a sandwich!" and I picked up the packet and water ran out of it onto the floor.

In the USA Ham is awful and filled with water and the bread also isn't that good 😉

I still also see this as Daniel thinking "Oh no, I'm in love with this idiot" lol

3: "You know all these years you weren't there, I blamed myself. Sensei Kreese is right. I can't be my own worst enemy. But you can be!"

Johnny just defending and trying not to fight Robby. That single frame where he grabs him by the neck and says, "I won't fight you." holy shit. That moment, the music, the emotions! That scene was incredible! One of my fave scenes in the whole show!

4: The Karate Kid Beach Fight

That moment where Daniel punches Johnny in the nose and he just kinda stands there for a few seconds...

I have so many fics where Johnny is basically realising he is love in that moment lol

5: THE BOW in season 4

It was an amazing moment on it's own for all of us Lawrusso fans

But then we got the ALMOST KISS 🤣

I used to paint with acrylics. This scene made me paint again for a brief time, but I never finished it lol

Maybe I should finish it one day.

Give me all the hurt Johnny and Daniel worried about him and taking care of him headcsnons and fics please!!!

I had to take time to think about this because I love me some good Johnny whump.

On the "oh shit you could have died" end of the spectrum-imagine with me for a moment, a Johnny freshly released from the hospital after (insert awful trauma here- anything from the previously mentioned stabbing, to alcohol withdrawal syndrome, which can be deadly in certain cases). He's furious and snapping at everyone; Daniel, Carmen, the kids- refusing to let anyone help(WickedJade on ao3 is doing this really well with If It Wasn't For Bad Luck) insisting he's fine, even if he'd just been on his death bed. This scenario almost always ends up going for one of my top five angst tropes which is the "love confession in the middle of furiously screaming about how dumb the person is". 30 years of pent up frustration plus Daniel Jersey temper is a perfect cocktail for this scenario, and then we get to see Johnny's "oh right, people actually care about me" revelation which is always just *chef's kiss*.

On a lighter note- some of my favorite fic are some good ol fashioned sick fics. One of my favorite things about Johnny as a character is that I feel like we can all definitely agree that he's the kinda man who could get stabbed and then proceed to tell everyone else that he's completely fine. But one thing I've never seen touched on is the opposite- Johnny blowing off actually major injuries/illnesses, but being a huge goddamn baby about like, the flu.

Like he'll have a cold and just stay in bed for three days and just bitch and complain about it the whole time, really play it up, be real overdramatic about it. And then we add very obvious helicopter parent Daniel to this equation and it's all over folks. This man would probably take off work to baby him and hover constantly. Now don't get me wrong, Johnny will still bitch about getting taken care of, but he's not gonna try and stop him from doing it. Daniel would also definitely poke fun at him the whole time but in that old married couple kinda way.

Just sitting here thinking about how much I love protective!Johnny and all those Johnny protects Daniel from Terry Silver/Kreese/Mike Barnes KK3 AUs. Narratively it’s so satisfying to explore given their TKK history. Johnny’s guilt about the past combined with his present love for Daniel makes for such a complex kaleidoscope of emotions he has to deal with in order to not only give everything he has to save Daniel but also to come to terms with his own previous actions in a new light now that he sees someone else harming him. It’s just....chef’s kiss <3 Love to see it!

I like how you self-identify as a filthy multi-shipper... because so am I. What are some of your ships? (Feel free to give as comprehensive an answer as you'd like.)

I'm gonna guess this is for tkk/CK. (If I went into my ships from other fandoms this would be a book. )

Hmmm. So. When I joined the fandom upon the release of S3, I was drawn in specifically by lawrusso. I had just started petering out of the IT fandom and they reminded a fair amount of Reddie. The angst with the possibility of slow burn with a happy ending got me.

But at the time there were some very good silverusso fanfics that I had read out of curiosity.

Once I watched the movies (after I watched seasons 1-3) I gained like 38366262 ships because Daniel is my fandom bicycle and I want everyone to get a ride.

I can and have shipped him with most tkk/CK characters because I find each ship to offer something interesting.

I started out a lawrusso stan. I still ship them. It's a ship with good bones. Unfortunately some negative sides of fandom (Daniel haters) ruined it for me for a while. But they're still one of my main ships and I have 2 wips for them currently. My favorite flavor of them is angry teen lawrusso.

My relationship with the ship changed a lot between the before and after of watching the original trilogy.

Obviously, I'm silverusso trash. Everything about them fascinates me. Plus it's highly aesthetic and lends well to a large number of my kinks. I also prefer them on the angsty side (I mean, it is canon. Plus the toxicity of messed up ships is like. The explicit appeal. ) but have been known to indulge in some fluff au's. It's the ship I've written the most for and get asked about the most. It's full of delicious horror romance tropes tbh. Or, if you want. You can go full angst and whump Daniel hard.

I also really ship danzen, even though I should write more for them and finish my wips of them. Chozen has one of the most interesting character arcs of any of the "karate rivals." It's a true enemies to lovers ship. Only Chozen is also like a night in shining armor now. His character development relies heavily on themes of shame, acceptance, and forgiveness. Daniel literally changed Chozen's life in a way that CANNOT be understated.

I also shipped LaBarnes before it was cool (I say as it has like... 6 shippers lol. ) Out of pure curiosity. Mike doesn't have a lot going on in the movie and that made him a fun character to play with. Especially the angle of "I'm in it for the money." Plus he keeps calling Daniel things like sweetheart and saying he owns his ass so...

And then his redemption in CK s5 gives us a lot to play with as well.

Daniel and Ali I ship as cute goofy teenagers figuring things out.

KUMIKO IS Daniel's FIRST TRUE LOVE. And I will fight people on that. It's love that was meant to be then wasn't. Two ships passing in the night. They changed each other forever in their short time together, and obviously never really "got over" each other. It's sweet and pure and heartbreaking.

Daniel and Amanda I ship because they give so many bi4bi #gender goals vibes. Amanda is just as unhinged as Daniel, and I think he needs that. I think they balance each other out in a way that really works. They subvert the typical tropes of a male/female romance with their character types. Also the height difference is hot.

Daniel and Kreese is something I never thought I would ship, but eventually the brain worms got to me. I just find Kreese's mind so morbidly fascinating. He was truly obsessed with Daniel. Why? There is so much to play with. Plus, it's also aesthetically pleasing and anons have tricked me into writing domestic au's for my hate-fucking ship.

I ship Daniel with all the Cobras. Usually as a group although I do think Dutch had something Going On given how he acts in the locker room scene. Incredibly feral.

There's probably more that I'm forgetting, and I'm not gonna get into the ot3's or I'll be here all day. Lol.

(whatever the fuck is going on between Kreese/Silver/Daniel has bewitched me though. )

Edit: I forgot I also wrote samtory and cobra husbands. Samtory are feral angry girls and I love that for them. I ship cobra husbands only in the most heartbreaking way.

Had another Daniel LaRusso whump thought.

What if: during a sparring match with Sam, she stops seeing her father and goes back to fighting with Tory. Daniel tried to get through to her, but she doesn’t seem to hear him. She kicks him in the face (jaw or forehead - bc, let’s be honest, she’s a fracking badass) which stuns him long enough for her to take out his legs (somehow) and get him on his back where she stands on his chest to keep him from moving.

It’s about this time that the trauma from the fight ebbs, and she sees her father once again. She’s horrified at what she’s done, immediately getting off him and kneeling next to him. “Dad?” she calls, unable to believe what she just did.

Daniel, who is just as stunned as Sam, doesn’t know what the heck just happened, but he does know that his daughter needs him. So, he slowly sits up, reassuring her that everything’s okay, that he’s okay.

Enter Johnny (always at the wrong moment, right?). He and Daniel are besties now and he’s there to pick Daniel up for some training or something. When he comes in, Sam flees to her room. Johnny then kneels next to Daniel, asking what happened and if he’s okay. Not two minutes later, Amanda comes in with the same questions. Daniel says he’s fine (he’s hurting, but fine) and Amanda goes inside to call Carmen, asking her to check on Daniel (she doesn’t want to deal with the questions the doctors would/might ask) and asks her to bring Miguel since she knows Sam needs a friend.

When Abuela is told where the other two are going, she insists on joining too. (This is gonna be fluffy, possibly with some Poly relationships going round with them all.) so, the three of them come, just as Johnny gets Daniel into the house and sitting on the couch. While Carmen checks on Daniel, Abuela fusses in Spanish over all of them, complaining they were all too thin, and goes and makes them a big meal (with Amanda, who in my mind can speak Spanish, helping.).

And...that’s all I got so far. Came up with the idea while trying to fall asleep so I didn’t get too far into it.
