Luffy doesn't have any father figures in his early life, not even sure what dads do with a kid that is not dump on some island and ditch.

Law as a Father is conflicted, scared, and happy at the same time. He had a loving biofather who treated them with kindness and still thinks that Cora made a great guardian despite their rough start together. So he tries to follow their example, so he would never leave his child, though he looks at how Luffy was raised and decides that he will be solely responsible for their kid.

Thats okay, he has a space on the polar tang for when it arrives, decorating with sunflowers and hearts so atleast the kiddo knows the symbols of both their parents, even if they never get the chance to meet Luffy for long.

The relationship Law and Luffy have in Law's eyes is just some fun and a distraction when they both needed it most. So they ended up with a kid in the process, its fine. Law gets used to repeating its fine through the entire process of getting things ready for the child to be part of his life.

Then they arrive, a little ball of shine that resembles them both with bright pale eyes and a brighter smile.

Law is completely taken by their baby. He will spoil them and give them world!

Luffy does that stare of his when he is serious about something, an unwavering determination focused on the kid. It unnerves Law a little as they usually share everything, and he understand what Luffy is thinking better than he did when they met, but sometimes its hard to read Luffy's focused expressions. Especially now,

Law decides its best not to ask, he doesnt want to hear that Luffy thinks they should leave the child behind for its own sake. Worry gnawing at his mind, that he will have to do something drastic to keep the baby and that it will break the relationship he built with Luffy and the strawhats

The baby has to stay on the Sunny for a few weeks, and Law decides to stay there as well. He is determined not to leave the kid. Every waking moment he is carrying the baby arround, washing, feeding, anything he can do while Luffy recovers.

Running himself ragged in the process. He wants to be the best parent ever, and sleep or food doesn't factor into the equation when Law gets hyperfocused. He is a mess. Coming into the nursery on the Sunny with a yawn, just to look at their baby.

Luffy stops him before Law can go to pick them. Instead, forcing Law to take his bed in the room next door.

Law out like a light as soon as his head hits the pillow. When he wakes up, Luffy and the baby are gone. His mind immediately jumps to the worst-case scenario. They are both pirates, and a ship is no place for a baby. That's something Luffy said before, quoting Shanks. So Law is worried he didn't even get to say goodbye.

Law is not bothering to grab his hat, his sword, or even to put on shoes, slipping on the wood. He hears Luffy laughs and runs into the kitchen of the Sunny.

Much ot his relief and surprise, the baby is still there. Luffy is wearing one of those baby slings that let him move around hands free, chattering to the kid about what food Sanji is making, getting everything wrong, much to Sanji's annoyance, as he corrects his captain, determined that the baby knows for sure that cooking is an art!

Law pulling Luffy into a hug, something he only does when nobody is watching. Yet now he doesnt care because they are still there. Luffy chuckles and hugs him back. "Duh, we're still here Traffy" He ruffles Law's hair, the baby giggles where it is pressed between them.

Law after that mini panic at losing family once again, decides to talk to Luffy and what they are doing. That he is prepared fo take care of the kid on the polar tang and while its Luffy's choice in the end and not his, he would rather have the kid in his life then leave it on some island whete it might be safe. Might not have people after it just for being born, but Law would rather be able to protect their kid all on his own.

Luffy pouts, "Who said you gotta do things alone, Traffy?" Luffy holds their kid closer. He tells Law about how even though he dont care about it anymore, he remembers how he felt about being tossed out all the time as a kid and that it hurt not having a place to belong.

He remembers how much Ace hated his dad for leaving him with old man Garp. How Uta felt when Shanks left her.

Luffy aint gonna do that. The kid stays and they are gonna raise it with their crews, with their families and make sure it knowz that its loved!

Law smiles with a soft expression, tension leaving his body. They will have to deal with a lot of danger and shenanigans to protect their child in the future, but at least they will do it together.

let me get this cleared up in advance; this is NOT a fandom thing, everyone in this story is male and OF COURSE an adult (M and i are similar aged but A was a very young father so he's not much older), they both knew i was polyamorous and i was free to have other partners without having to tell them everyone i was dating. this isn't a problem of ages OR cheating. also this was pretty long ago.

so a while back, i was very close with this guy M, and his dad A. i actually met A first, through work, but ended up hanging out with M more due to us being closer in age. i did and still do love them both equally. i started hooking up with each of them (separately of course) and it turned into a relationship. i loved them more than just sex.

but heres the thing, i never told them i was dating the other. again, with the solutions we worked out for my polyamory, this wasn't a case of cheating, and if it were anyone else, i wouldn't be asking this, but it feels a little more important since i was sleeping with their son/dad.

there are a few reasons i didn't tell them, though. i mean, half of it was cause of awkwardness, it would be really weird for them to know that their boyfriend was also with their son/dad. but more specifically, they had a very strained relationship. M was disabled, and cause of that, his dad was kinda too coddling and was weird about M having a sex life despite him being an adult. M didn't like A that much either because of some personal stuff, but A is not a bad person, it was just a misfortune of raising a child young and alone. my country is also not very perfect with gay laws, and while i knew they both were queer, i still didn't want to out either of them to each other anyway.

it was just a coincidence both relationships formed, also. i am very open about being bisexual, and each of them confided in me separately that they were gay too, and it developed from there cause we cared about each other alot. i wasn't trying to cause amything or be sneaky, and i loved them both equally and didn't want to have to choose.

i still care about them but due to completely unrelated circumstances im not in contact with either anymore, though things ended on a good note with both, it wasn't a messy breakup. but i was recounting this as a funny dating story to my newer friends, and some of them said that was really shady of me and even that it was indirect incest? which i dont think is a thing, but it might be.

i can't do anything about it now, but i have been thinking it over and maybe it was a shady thing to do after all. so am/was i the asshole for this?

Azul's mother and stepfather who know their son could do no wrong, so they're shocked and appalled when you start accusing him of something so disgusting. How dare you accuse him of such a horrible crime! He would never! Your parent(s) sits down with the Ashengrottos to discuss and hopefully smooth things over. Azul is so sickeningly sweet and cordial throughout the entire thing while you look scared out of your skin. You insist he's lying, that you're telling the truth, that this is what happened. But then his stepfather threatens to take the matter to court. He knows the law. In the end, you're forced to drop it because your family can't afford a trial right now.

On your way out, Azul smiles at you. Even at twenty-something, he's still their spoiled brat. So entitled! Because he got everything he could ever want from his mother when he was a child, he automatically assumes he'll have you without any problems. But you just had to reject him in elementary. You just had to make a fool out of him in front of the class. It's your fault he couldn't have the one thing he's always wanted. But now he's so much better than his past self, and this time he's not taking no for an answer.

I think it would be a similar situation with Riddle. His mother refuses to believe her son could do any wrong, and the fact that you—some slut who shouldn't be near her Riddle to begin with—have the gall to throw around such wild accusations... You must have been raised so poorly to forgo basic manners and social etiquette. Riddle apologizes profusely for causing such trouble, but his story isn't the truth. So she absolutely spoils them rotten. Those are her babies; of course she will! Papa Leech is just as adoring, I'm certain, but then I feel like his love is more of a "tough love" type. In any case, the twins won't accept the word no because they're so used to just getting things. Those sturgeon scales they proudly wear? Those were won through a fight. They want and then they take. It's simple.

So the fact that you'd tell either of them no... Unheard of. All of Floyd's smiley pretenses drop when you reject him. Thanks to Vriska, John was able to achieve the god tiers without confronting his mortality. He didn't have to grapple with any of this, and it's possible that he was robbed of some character growth as a result.

Really, the coin is just a rhetorical device. Terezi doesn't need to flip a coin, or even have a coin, because the real flip is happening in Dave's head. His Mind, if you will.

This does raise a lot of questions, though. I hope there isn't a timeline for every conceivable decision you could make. We've sort of discussed the idea before, but I don't think I've really talked about the subtle horror of a multiverse that works that way.

I mean, if there's a timeline for every possible decision - if everyone is capable of making any choice, at any time - then John will randomly kill his friends, for no reason. There are millions of offshoots where he does this. WV will become a monarchist. Dave will take off his shades.

It goes deeper, too. You can't even meaningfully ask why Dave wears shades, because he doesn't. He's constantly taking them off, because it is possible for him to do so. And if there's a timeline where he never takes them off, it's only because that's a decision he could potentially make.

If timelines branch at every decision, with no restrictions, then every single person in the multiverse is constantly doing things that contradict the core of who they are. In fact, there is no core. Everyone is an indistinguishable robot, constantly making every possible decision, simply because they can.

Homestuck could work like this, but I prefer the Discworld interpretation - I think it's more consistent with the comic's themes of choice. In Night Watch, protagonist Vimes is confronted with this exact question, and we get this exchange:

In short, there are some things you would never do, physical laws be damned. It is inconceivable that Vimes would murder his wife, because his current personality is incompatible with that decision. It simply cannot be made to make sense, so it can't spawn a timeline.

Note that this is only true for Vimes 'as he is now'. His moral code doesn't necessarily apply to his alt-selves - or even his younger self, whose code hasn't solidified. Hell, half the book is about making sure Young Vimes develops that code in the first place. There could be an evil John Egbert, but our John can't just arbitrarily turn evil.

So that's how I think it works. There's a timeline for every decision that you'd choose to make, and that subset of decisions will change as you grow. Your development as a person shapes the multiverse, in a very literal way.

(which is at odds w the OTHER issue she got from this event which is "deathly afraid of flying" an issue not helped if Master "traffic laws are just guidelines" Skywalker is piloting. but she tries 2 act like shes fine)

So Sayuri falls into the "one of the Jedi found them thru the force or by chance" category of students who get found. However Nymie very much falls into the second category, which is "CAN SOMEONE DEAL WITH THIS WEIRD SUPERPOWERED CHILD FOR US????"

Can we not just stop birthing men like... women have to stop giving life to men.

I'm doing my part ✌️ and I agree but collectively most women wouldn't. I remember when there was discourse over a radfem having & celebrating giving birth to a baby boy. I've seen radfems praise lesbian couples adopting baby boys.

Tbh a lot of women are sellouts, they sellout other women & even betray themselves for love or having a slightly higher social status in society. When forced to cohabit with predators that have more power & essentially want to reproduce a copy of themselves, women giving them that could elevate or secure their status in society - it's an incentive & many would go for it.

Another thing to consider is that many women birth maIes to spare their lives, there's been cases where maIes would kill their partners & daughters for the woman not having a son (even though the sperm determines the sex). Part of me considers maternal instincts of women not being able to kill their maIe offspring bc that's still their child but then I think of post partum psychosis & cultures where daughters are routinely killed when they're born. If these instincts applied to maIe & female children I dont think things would've gotten this bad. Also a lot of women treat their sons much better than their daughters.

In a patriarchial society, birthing sons lets boymoms live out their power fantasies through their sons. They 'borrow' power from their sons or use their sons as a proxy for power. Like toxic mother in-laws treating their daughter in-laws like shit bc it's through the association that this woman is married to their son, women that cover up their sons sex crimes, in some cultures; boymoms look for women who've undergone FGM for their sons.

Bear in mind so many women still have faith in maIes as a collective, they think they'll raise the "good ones". This notion is popular in feminist spaces, women think they'll magically train & raise maIe allies. There's a saying of how several boymoms have emotional incest with their sons, they see there aren't good maIes in society so they want to create their own one(s).

However I think the biggest issue is that women are never going to be sociopathic or apathetic enough to moids. It would take a high level of apathy to abort maIe fetuses & refuse to birth another xy solely on the basis of their sex, to get to this point you'd need to have this feeling towards maIes generally and most women dont have this. MaIe survival is contentigent on female subjugation, women dont need to subjugate maIes to survive, we carry life, we can also provide for ourselves & maIes know it which is why they've set up societies the way they are and they're brutal about it because they and their bloodlines would be dead anyways if they dont have a system forcing women to rely on them to survive. That said; In the end despite everything, many women still want to partner with maIes, many women still love & believe in maIes. Most women wont disassociate with maIes collectively, catherine mckinnon goes into this in her book "the second sex" where she speaks about how women are scattered everywhere & identify with the tribes maIes put them into as opposed to seeing themselves as a sovereign group.

I personally dont think birthing another oppressor is worth it but people are different. Of course this can (& does) backfire against women but by the time the damage is realised it's too late. Ultimately for a shift in gender ratio & for women to refuse to birth maIes at any cost, they need to think bigger than themselves individually. Think of womankind instead of maIe supremacy & its structures but this will never happen & I wont kid myself otherwise.

There's this weird thing going on Reddit right now where people are claiming that legally, Rhaenyra children are not bastards. And I was wondering if you agree or disagree. I think that people are just making up their own canon lore at this point.

Well. Okay I think I’m about to give an answer that is a little spicy but when I get around to my ultimate point I think everyone is going to go "yeah it makes sense that's how you feel, that tracks." Let me start with a personal story to be extra annoying-

My mom, after separating from my dad, swore of marriage. Marriage derailed her life, it had derailed my grandma's life, so she decided that even if she truly fell in love again, she would stay unmarried because clearly marriage jinxes love. She met my stepdad and as he had been divorced three times (and bitterly each time too) he agreed. He proposed to her but it was really just a commitment thing - I promise I am all in on this relationship, and by wearing this ring, you promise too. He moved in. They had one of my siblings, K, and still remained unmarried despite pushback from a few relatives and friends.

And then my stepdad needed knee surgery. And my mom couldn't put a domestic partner on her insurance. So a week before my second sibling, B, was born, after my aunt finished teaching summer school for the day, on what was a random Thursday afternoon, we all put on some nice clothes, piled into the van, and went down to city hall where they got hitched and I cried while everyone made fun of me because their toddler was literally running around the waiting room, it was not a big deal! My parents were both wearing jeans!!! We went to Baker's Square after, not even a nice restaurant! Do you know how this marriage has affected K and B? Not even a little! Do you know why?

BECAUSE NONE OF THIS MATTERS.

There is no moral or biological difference between a child born in wedlock and a child born outside of it. If you put K and B's blood under a microscope and I didn't tell you the ages would you be able to tell the difference between them? Would you be able to figure out which one of my siblings is a bastard and which one is trueborn? No, you would not because the difference doesn't exist biologically, ontologicaly, ecologically, anthropologically, whatever ology you want to bring up, and I think what this fandom finds most frustrating is that there is also no legal difference because LAWS ARE MADE UP. THEY DONT FUCKING MATTER. THEY ARE MAN MADE. I need this fandom to kill the prosecutor that lives in their head and stop arguing over whether Rhaenyra’s oldest boys are ~really~ bastards or not. The “truth” of this is just as it is for my family - it’s completely emotional, situational, and dependent on the feelings of the people involved in it!

Alicent & Otto & Criston, in both the books and the show, have an ulterior motive to insist that legally Rhaenyra’s boys are bastards. They can talk about propriety and legality all they want, but not only were those boys raised and loved by Laenor & Corlys, the concepts of marriage & wedlock & legitimacy are merely tools used to keep people in their place, something those three are very aware of because Otto manipulates the law in order to cut Daemon out of the line of succession which is exactly what kicks off this conflict in the first place! Corlys & Laenor & Rhaenyra have completely different but still existent ulterior motives to insist that legally the boys are true born. They can talk about “well technically” and cite whatever law or precedent they want but again, this same insistence on their legitimacy is a cover for the fact that if they ARE admitted to be not Laenor’s, they all lose access to power.

Not only that, but both Rhaenyra and Alicent become insistent on these competing legalities because they are worried the other will kill their children. Alicent all but confirms that she would have killed them if Rhaenyra had accepted terms with her nasty comment about their deaths when Rhaenyra takes the capital, but Rhaenyra throws her own insistence that she won’t hurt her siblings out the window with b&c.

Plot: the end of things.. maybe

You wake up hungover and feeling low, everything nikki said the day before still on your mind as you watch him getting changed at the bottom of the bed, you watch the back of his head till he turns round, when his eyes focus of your face he smiles and crawls in beside you “morning angel” he cuddles you close, kissing your neck gently “nikki.. stop, we arent together” you squirm. He pulls away and smiles “not yet.. im going to speak to the guys today and tell them that i really do like you” he sits up, feeling sure about this decision “no.. dont, its for the best if we arent anyway” nikki laughs nervously “dont be silly darlin, ive told them to come to the room-“ “why?! So you can call me fat to my face?!” You snap, jumping up “no baby, listen.. i had to say that so they didnt catch on-“ “oh shut up, i dont give a shit.. look, we should go back to hating eachother.. its what we do best.” You brush your hair quickly, nikki sitting speechless on the bed as he watches you leave.

You pack your stuff and head to the airport, sitting silently in the cab that your whole band sat in, mel watching you like a disappointment mother. After the wait in the airport you get on the plane and thank god.. nikkis a few seats across from you but tommy sits beside you, smiling in amusement when he sees you “fatty! Hey!” He laughs “tommy..” you give a small, un-genuine smile. During the flight tommy eats half the planes stock and runs around like a child, shouting over to nikki who sits next to mel. When tommy goes to the bathroom mel sits beside you and scans your face “just spoke to nikki” she says, her expression unreadable “yeah?” You ask nervously and she nods.

“Youve ended things then?” You glance over to nikki who looks over at you both, looking more tired than usual “yup.. for the best” mel pats your shoulder “good girl, i knew youd grow to hate him again”

When you get to the hotel rooms nikkis not in the one beside yours but across, walking the same way and its silent, you miss having fun with him but after everything he done you couldnt bring yourself to look at him. That night the bands go out but all you want is to avoid nikki so you stay inside, having a bottle of wine to yourself but it doesnt give you the buzz you wanted, it makes you want to be held by nikki again so you spend the night crying in your room, missing his warm, soft body.

You wake up in the morning, disappointed you didnt get woken up to him knocking your door and begging for forgiveness, pushing past it all you get up and get dressed, going out for a walk. Although you get stopped every 5 minutes for an autograph you continue to walk, being away from it all really clearing your head before the show. You walk to the arena since it wasnt far, getting there before everyone else to do your makeup and get your stage gear on, wanting a few drinks.

When mötley crüe arrive with whitesnake (who were also touring with you both) they walk by you “hey fatty” vince smiles, winking “fuck off barbie” you spit back and they just continue walking. You wait at the side of the stage to watch whitesnake and get shoved out the way, nikki pushing you aggressively to get by. “What the fuck what that for!” He turns round “couldnt get by you” he narrows his eyes and keeps walking. Mel spots you shaking with rage after it just happened “hey, whats up?” You turn round, only seeing red “we need to fuck their set up” she laughs and moves in closer “easy there tiger, we dont want a law suit or whatever.. they can do that you know?” You shake your head “i dont care.. ive got the perfect plan”

Your on before the crüe but this time you dont pull nikki on the stage, after you wait unpatiently for your rival band to start, hiding behind the curtain that bunches at the corners of the backstage. Three songs in and your plan begins, you have scissors and find the cord for nikkis bass, counting to five you cut it and sprint to your dressing room, hearing the bass cut out if the live set.

You soon hear nikkis voice booming in the hall way, youve never heard him this mad so you pull out a magazine to act natural and hide the scissors. Not long untill nikkis bursting into your dressing room “you little bitch!” He screams “w-what? What are you talking about?” nikki stalks towards you and towers above you “dont act stupid! Why the fuck are you trying to sabotage me!?” He grabs you and pins you against the wall “im not! But im sure if i was it would be perfectly reasonable!” His grip on your shoulders tighten “you know, i never liked you but im just starting to realise how much of alittle cunt you really are!” You swing for him but miss, his eyes filling with rage as he grasps your fist, pinning your hands above your head. His manager runs around, frantically looking for him.

“I never liked you nikki! I never did!” You shout as he corners you completely, his face inches from yours “you sure liked me when i was 7inches deep in your cu-“

“Nikki! Get back on stage!” Doc shouts from beside you both, nikki throwing you across the dressing room and storming back onto stage to continue. Doc death stares you as he leaves your room and you leave the arena earlier than everyone else, before nikki can finish his set.

personally, this feels somewhat as a loss. i am of the belief that a baby is always a blessing (meant non-religously, somewhat spiritually, but up to interpretation). and if i had the resources to bless this child back as a parent, i would with immense joy. i have never intended to have a child; however several of my siblings, as well as myself, were unplanned and i have seen the miracle of a child firsthand. to have the chance to welcome one into the world would be a beautiful and well-worth experience to me.

however, i am an addict. before and after discovering my pregnancy, i have smoked weed, used MDMA, and drank alcohol. i have left myself dehydrated, malnourished, and extremely stressed out due to a current abusive relationship. not to mention, i live with currently unmanaged chronic and mental illnesses and can barely take care of myself. i do not have a job, and have an extremely hard time getting hired due to my circumstances. i am off to residential rehab soon. i am not in a place to raise a child, and it would be entirely unfair to both them and to myself at this point in my life. i am making the best educated and kindest decision i possibly can for both myself and this life inside of me.

i am extremely sure of my decision. but this oppourtunity for love and life being lost does mean something to me. and i think it is strange and unfair the way that so much pro-abortion activism is done so aggressively and with no compassion or consideration to the people who's abortions bring on sad and complicated feelings. painting it as a procedure with absolutely no possibility of emotional/physical short or longterm effects. refering to the fetus as a "parasite" even, and with no consideration to it as a possibility for human life. i dont mean this in any pro-life sort of way, i firmly believe it is a personal choice whether or not you go through with the pregnancy. i just think it is unfair to pregnant people to paint this wonderful biological phenomenom as a scary harmful inhuman thing. even some of the support ive recieved from those close to me has referened this idea of a "parasitic" baby i need to "kill". i dont know if its just my pregnancy horomones, or perhaps my sense of humanity, but that verbage and imagery was just sickening to hear.

i have recieved an incredible amount of support, however, that many do not recieve. i am extremely grateful for both the family and friends who are supportive of my right to abortion, and to have been born and raised in a state with access to this right (before 15 weeks at least). my stepmother has had an abortion, shared her experience and support, and she is paying for mine. my father drove me to my initial consultation (as my state's law requires a ridiculously lengthy consultation 24 hours prior to the actual procedure), and even yelled at the protestors outside of the clinic. my partner, despite our relationship's hostility, is aware of this procedure and fully supportive. i am aware of my luck and privilege, and my heart truly does go out to anyone going through this on their own or with less support. as well as anyone living without access to this right.

the process of abortion is very trans-unfriendly in my experience, and ive opted to act as female and accept being misgendered. of course the pregnancy and this process has been dysphoria inducing, but sometimes it's just easier to do certain things like this. my trans homies know what i mean.

it is also very unfriendly overall, as my state's process attempts to coerce or scare you into changing your mind many times before the procedure takes place. not to mention the protestors standing at the sidewalk calling you a murderer and lecturing you about your sins. however, the clinic i went to had volunteers who very kindly escorted me from the car to the door and attempted to shield me from any harrassment. the staff inside was very kind and respectful, as were the patients going through this alongside me. it seemed everyone was attempting to counteract the heavy nature of the procedure and overall unfriendly and anti-feminist process. seeing the humanity and compassion from the people around me has been a pleasant silver-lining.

dont let anyone fool you, abortion is a pretty common thing. i couldnt find an open appointment at any clinic near me. my father drove me an hour and a half to a 5:30 appointment in a clinic (that exclusively did abortion), that was packed full of people in need of abortion services.

this experience has taught me things about myself, and the people around me, and the world. i do not regret my choice and dont think that will change. but even if it does that will be my own journey, which should never take away from anyone's basic human rights. it is appauling, disgusting, and terrifying to me that access to abortions is so limited. it is even at high risk in my state of becoming more limited, or even criminalized. i will always advocate and vote to the best of my ability for everyone's access to abortion. and i hope anyone reading this intends to do the same.

Oh man, I dont think I’ve heard about them using that term, but just hearing the term "love child" gives me a cringey feeling. I actually wasn't sure what it meant so I looked it up, and apparently it means "a child conceived through lust (usually a one-night thing). The parents never marry and sometimes never see each other again". In other words, it means "the illegitimate offspring of unmarried parents".

What we must note here is "illegitimate" and "unmarried".

Let me preface this by saying that I don't think people have been thinking that deeply about this, and I'm sure most people who make fanon ship children don't mean any harm.

However, there are some criticisms to be made.

Moving on, now, I have no clue if this is an unpopular opinion, and feel free to disagree with me, but I think kids should be born within wedlock because it statistically tends to be a more stable home (though of course it doesn't guarantee anything). It at least shows that the parents can be in a committed relationship recognized by law, which hopefully means they'll both stick around more since they're legally obligated to.

That's where the illegitimate comes in. A legitimate kid in the eyes of the law means that the child comes from a married couple, and that allows the child to be entitled to child support in case of a divorce and to receive an inheritance. If the couple is not married, that makes the kid illegitimate, and that means the father is not obligated at all to take care of the kid.

All that to say, it's super gross if people call the made-up kids of gr///via "love children" because, if they know what the term means, they're basically saying they just want Gray and juvia to have kids and don't care if the kid's life has the added stability that would come with having married parents. They clearly just want it to be canon that Gray and juvia have had sex.

That would just show that they don't really care if Gray and juvia have a solid foundation for a relationship (though, let's face it, even if they were married, they already lack a solid foundation because of juvia's abuse), which is essential for bringing children into this world and raising them. Whether they mean this or not, this is just another instance of certain Pros promoting unhealthy dynamics for these two, only this time it's almost worse since it includes another human being, a child, as well.

They would rather focus on the "lust" aspect of what a love child entails, which totally throws the kid by the wayside.

That means they only conjured up the kid just because it helps to "validate" gr///via. You put it perfectly, saying that the child's sole reason for existing is to prove the "love" between Gray and juvia, which literally reduces the character to being an object, a plot device, a ship device. The kid becomes a mere product of "doing the nasty" that's "evidence" for a ship and nothing more.

And yes, before anyone goes thinking I'm just saying all this to be a stick in the mud (though I admit I am one x_x) I understand people not caring that much about fanon children of ships, because they're made up and just for fun mostly. I'd say most of it is harmless probably.

However, still, I agree with Anon, that it's icky to throw insensitive terms around, and doing so exposes these fans' intentions of just trying to find even more (uncanonical) avenues to bind Gray and juvia together, as if they didn't already have years of abuse and shoehorning and character assassination doing that job for these two. It's less malicious and more thoughtless of these fans.

All in all, I'm not saying, "don't ever create fanart or fanfics of children from your favorite ships!", I'm just saying let's not reduce them to being ship devices. It would be great if thoughtfulness could be given to them, because I don't think treating children, even fictional ones, flippantly is a great thing to promote.

Law is immediately smitten with the child, it has all the DQ genes, blonde hair, a soft face and Shank's eyes. He cant believe that bastard produced such a cutie, how dare he. Law getting a case of cuteness aggression lol, wants to squish those cheeks.

Luffy laughs at how Law melts, and they make this baby kidnapping thing a constant even though Law refuses to interact with Doffy, even when Shanks isnt around to pass the kid, Law is still around to come take it and Luffy is always the one giving it back before Beck has to come fetch them xd.

Its awfully domestic as then tension between Doffy and Law stays but gets put on the backburner when the baby is concerned

I have been thinking about the way he brings up Issachar to Flynn a lot recently and I think it's like... It is ultimately manipulative right. Like he is at the end of the day bringing up Flynn's dead friend whenever he's trying to get Flynn on his side like yeah he's using that tragedy to appeal to his emotions and especially in the YPR scene he's just flat out saying "If my worldview is fulfilled, what happened to Issachar will never happen to anyone else". But I don't think it's just like "Oh I'm just going to say whatever I have to in order to get this guy on my side" I think he really does believe it like he always has this sense of camaraderie with Flynn because they're both casualries throughout the whole game and I think he probably saw himself in Issachar in his last moments which is why this one at shen duque has been sticking with me because he's directly repeating Issachar's last words about "changing this rotten world". Like I think that did genuinely affect him and him invoking Issachar and his fate the way he does is his way of being like, his way of trying to get Flynn to understand what he believes to be true, that his world will never result in that kind of injustice again. so two of my irl friends are being targeted and harassed online, theyre some important players/figures in this gaming scene and recently the drama surrounding them has gone public (online) and fucking nuclear

the gist of it is that theyre dating, theres a significant age gap, and the younger one is turning 19 in a couple months. my husband is another important figure in this scene and had to ban a couple of shitheads that have been bothering the two of them for MONTHS at this point from his discord server and future events he helps host, they made response posts essentially calling the older friend a pedophile/groomer and yeah so he and them are dealing with the fallout of that now

so i wanted to address some of the comments my husbands response post is getting because its driving me fucking nuts, but i dont want to respond directly to the post because i dont want to deal with the piranhas

the shitheads did not get banned for coming forward with their discomfort about this relationship, this has been being discussed for SIX MONTHS before the ban was decided. and the ban was decided on the basis that the two friends dont like being around the shitheads because they have been harassing them for that long and they make them uncomfortable. keep in mind this is a ban from a discord server and some game events, which they are not inherently entitled to. (also fun fact the discord was created because a few other trans women approached my husband and said his community is the only one that makes them feel safe and welcomed)

the 18 year old is 18 years old, which is where in australia we consider someone an adult. i think that although the law is not always a reflection of moral truth in this case its a perfectly fine line to draw (ive been 18 before and i can pretty reasonably say i did feel like i stopped being a child at that point). she can vote, drink, drive, own a house, go to war, why can she not have sex with other adults if thats what she wants to do. if shes not mentally mature enough to do that is she also not mature enough to do those other things? should we be stopping her from doing those things too since the law is irrelevant?

you can raise your concerns, the shitheads did and the organizers, the older person, and the younger person all heard them out, they all talked about this multiple times. everyones feelings have been made clear, the situation has been made clear, repeatedly. its not your job to break up adult relationships you think are bad, even if youre their friend and youre trying to help them (which theyre not, this has only ever been about their feelings but thats beside the point)

shes not a cis man though, cis men have more social power than she does. both the people involved in this relationship are trans women, obviously trans women are capable of harm and abuse just as any other type of person on the planet but that doesnt mean she IS doing harm. and in fact i honestly feel like if she were a cis man thered be less people going after her, shes an acceptable target, shes an easy target, because shes a vulnerable type of person who has a LOT to lose in this situation.

theres a massive transmisogyny aspect to this situation that a lot of people, including other transfems are trying very hard to act like they dont see. many people are calling this woman a PEDOPHILE for engaging in a relationship with an ADULT WOMAN, seeking to ostracize her from her community and her friends and leave her with nothing. what is the end conclusion to that? dont you think that could be potentially dangerous for her?

even if this were a large community that affected other communities (we are talking about a 30ish people discord server) IT CLEARLY ISNT WORKING??? shes been banned from ALL the major gaming events in the country, for dating AN ADULT WOMAN. if anything this sets a precedent that you can get rid of and endanger the life of any trans woman you dont like by saying ANYTHING about them, even if it is factually, provably, with real life evidence, incorrect.
