I'm on the other side, it's alright, just hold me in the dark (I'm on the other side, it's alright, just hold me in the dark) No one's got to know what we do, hit me up when you're bored (No one's got to know) Nah (what we do, hit me up when you're bored) 'Cause I live down the street, so we meet when you need it, it's yours All I hear is Nothin' feels better than this Nothin' feels better Nothin' feels better than this Nothin' feels better, no, no We don't gotta hide This is what you like, I admit Nothin' feels better than this

Coachella Fashion 2024: Lauryn Hill
At the recent Coachella 2024 music festival in Palm Springs, Lauryn Hill performed as a surprise guest during her son’s, YG Marley, set. In a brilliant display of style and substance, Hill rocked an amazing outfit from Balmain's Fall/Winter '24 collection, inspired by the work of Ghanaian artist Prince Gyasi.
Tumblr media
The outfit featured a striking electric-yellow pantsuit, characterized by sharp shoulders and straight-leg slacks. The pantsuit made a significant black silhouette on a vibrant yellow background. This silhouette, decorated with a red silk loincloth, appeared as if it was in motion, with colorful ribbons flowing from a hoop it held upwards. Underneath the bold blazer, Hill chose a black button-up, cinching the pants with a belt featuring oversized, bejeweled buckles. This choice added a touch of glamour and sophistication to the outfit, balancing the bright colors with a black base. Accessories played a crucial role as well; white beads adorned her hair, and sky-blue eyeshadow gave a pop to the yellow and black of her outfit. These choices were not only stylistic but also a reinforcement of Hill's identity and presence on stage.
Tumblr media
Hill’s attire resonated deeply with the theme of the festival and her performance. The use of the Ethiopian flag’s colors and the Lion of Judah imagery during her set added layers of cultural and historical depth, connecting her visual presentation to her musical roots and heritage. These elements highlighted her connection to the Rastafarian faith, a nod to her family's legacy and the broader African diaspora.
