In an ironic twist, here she is at a model charity event for Babesintoyland Charity with Corrie Yee, the model some people thought was her. Pics and video. 👇

Tumblr media
Here's the video 👇
youtube
From one of the Team. The identity of the mystery brunette walking hand in hand with Sam Heughan in London on May 29, 2024 has been revealed!
Remember the pics we got from Just Jared of Sam Heughan and mystery brunette from May 29, 2024. 👇
Well, I've been told by one of the Team that her name is Lauren Marie. Age 29ish. Here is her IG account. 👇
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Definite match.
Tumblr media
She's American. Some are saying she's an escort. But as we saw with other women Sam has dated, lots of models get put on x rated sites but it's only their pics used. Even Cait has had this happen to her. I showed this in my posts when Sam dated Gia. She was featured on an escort site but it wasn't her, they were just using her picture. I don't know if that's the case here. I will investigate tonight when I'm done with work. And I'll post what I find. Let's not jump to any conclusions. And let's not badmouth Sam or Lauren. If you want to do that, there are other accounts for that.
So, my peeps, go check out her IG and she's also on TikTok. 👇

I'll be back later with more...

Tumblr media
Notes:
Fantastic capture of this incredibly immersive and beautiful production. there is a bar in the bottom right corner of the screen that doesn't take away except for one moment where Gandalf and Frodo are talking on the stairs in act one, but overall I worked around it and you can always see Frodo and sometimes Gandalf. At points people are in the audience and I wasn't able to capture them but you can always hear them and I do my best to always try to make sure to capture anything in the audience that I could. Some washout and shakiness throughout.

Notes:
Beautiful Capture of Abe, Larkin and Haley's last performance with the company. My camera was having a lot of issues for Act 1, 2 minutes is missing during ready set (still has audio), And then after every song there's a short 2 second blackout. Act 2 is perfect with no issues with my camera. Also the last US stop before a month break and then Mexico! Some washout and shakiness throughout.

(about lotr musical, current production) when they said tour I didn't expect the costume would be so different :0!! I'm just, surprised
I'm surprised as well because I didn't expect the changes either! When they announced that the Watermill production would transfer to Chicago and then tour, I assumed they'd adjust the staging to fit into the bigger theatre(s), but costume design changes didn't even occur to me. The production designer remained the same (Simon Kenny), as did most of the creative team.
Personally, I liked the Watermill costumes, they fit the vibe of the small theatre, but I can't say that the changes did them a favour. I'm neutral on most changes I've seen so far, but Galadriel stands out a little:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left: Georgia Louise, Watermill Theatre; right: Lauren Zakrin, Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
The headdress, the braid and the sash are undeniably gorgeous, but they suggest an entirely different production style, more like the original Toronto and West End productions. The jumpsuit can't quite keep up. Georgia Louise's sash also recalls the West End costume, but overall, it's consistently 'simple' and matches the Hobbit-angle of the production rather than going into high fantasy.
I'm relatively neutral on Boromir's costume:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Left: Peter Dukes, Watermill Theatre; right: Matthew C. Yee, Chicago Shakespeare Theater
The embroidery looks prettier on Peter's costume, but that's a minor issue.
Not sure how different the others are, we'll have to wait for official production shots. I'm no expert on costume design, this is all very subjective anyway.

everyone is ashamed that he hired an escort and P can say Lauren isn’t an escort or at least not an escort who is hired just for sex; as apparently men can hire escorts for company at business events etc only like sureeeee 🤣🤡
but facts are facts, she’s an escort and her instagram and tiktok prove as such, she even knows adult entertainer Corrie Yee who people thought it was at first.
It’s embarrassing really but I dont really care, I just LOVE a good gossip and laugh about it with people like yourself ❤️
P won't admit it publicly, but she knows what Lauren Marie is...
She knows!!! 😜🤣

TBH my obsession with this musical started over ten years ago, when I started reading The Road to Middle-Earth by MushroomsPTook. (FF.net is still down, so that's a Wayback Machine link. Unfortunately the entire fic has not been archived on the Wayback Machine. I highly recommend it if you have the FF.net app, though.) The author of this fic provides a couple of "soundtracks" for each chapter, and one of these chapters had as one of its soundtracks The Cat and the Moon, one of the production's most joyful songs. I immediately fell in love and knew I had to see the musical. The Toronto and London productions had come and gone. A world tour had just been announced, which never happened (evil), and for ten years there was nothing else, until the Watermill Theatre picked it up last year. Unfortunately I had no chance of seeing it last year, but you can imagine my excitement when I heard it would be in Chicago, too, an extremely accessible location for me.
MASSIVE thanks to @pursuer-of-hope, who I met there, for making the trip possible. Hotels in Chicago are very expensive and I'm not sure I'd have scraped together the money (or the courage) without her help.
And then, the day of the show, less than two hours before it was scheduled to start, disaster: the performance was cancelled! I could have cried. I'd been waiting for this for over ten years! But the theatre box office was super helpful and obliging and were able to move our tickets to the very next evening. The reason they gave for cancelling was illness in the cast, and it seems to have been pretty serious, as Lauren Zakrin (Galadriel), Will James Jr. (Aragorn), and Matthew C. Yee (Boromir) were all replaced by understudies. The real kicker was the fact that Tommy Thurston was the understudy for both Aragorn and Boromir, so Luke Nowakowski stepped in and, I assume, learned the entire part of Boromir in one day. He seemed a little uncomfortable in the role at first but settled into it well, especially considering that Boromir has two fight scenes during which he's center stage, his altercation with Frodo and his fight against the Uruk-hai, and both of these were pulled off extremely well! And Tommy Thurston and Laura Savage (Galadriel's understudy) did an amazing job in their roles as well.
Anyway, I'm thrilled that I got to see it finally. It was awesome and I highly recommend it.

Finalists/Semifinalists Revealed For 46th Bay Area Playwrights Festival
Tumblr media
The festival received 614 applications from playwrights across the United States.

Playwrights Foundation, the West Coast's premier launchpad for exceptional new plays and playwrights, has revealed the semifinalists and finalists for the 46th Bay Area Playwrights Festival, which will be presented in a hybrid festival (both in-person and streamed attendance options) April 12-21, 2024, per Playwrights Foundation's recent announcement to shift to a biennial festival structure. BAPF continues to uphold its legacy as one of the oldest and most successful new play festivals uplifting playwrights' new works early in their career.
The festival received 614 applications from playwrights across the United States. Applicants underwent a thorough evaluation process and were reviewed by Playwrights Foundation staff in collaboration with 189 committee readers-local and national theatre professionals serving as evaluators, with 57% who identify as playwrights. From this pool of 614 applicants, 148 semifinalists were carefully chosen based on the writer's voice, skills, and the play's potential. Applicants were narrowed down further to 45 finalists encompassing unique voices, under-represented narratives, and bold theatrical forms across various levels of experiences. Ultimately, five playwrights will be selected among the finalists and announced at a later point.
"The current landscape of contemporary playwriting is so vibrant. There is an abundance of writing which blooms with strong points of view, memorable plots and characters, and risk-taking moments of stagecraft." says Literary Manager Heather Helinsky. "Our community of readers were highly engaged by a wide range of theatrically innovative styles, compelling narratives, and poignant issues and themes. The semifinalists and finalists are deserving of reaching audiences in need of catharsis-from communal grieving to a good laugh."
Bay Area Playwrights Festival is one of the oldest and most successful new play festivals for new works in their early stages. Established in 1976 by acclaimed director Robert Woodruff, the festival has built a respected reputation for uplifting original and distinctive new voices in the theater, investing in the development of their work, and launching storied careers. Among the first writers developed at the inaugural BAPF was the young Sam Shepard. Since then, more than 500 prize-winning, nationally significant playwrights have received one of their first professional experiences at the BAPF, including Pulitzer Prize winners Nilo Cruz, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Paula Vogel, and Annie Baker; and acclaimed playwrights Lauren Gunderson, Rajiv Joseph, Katori Hall, Christopher Chen, Lauren Yee, and Marcus Gardley. BAPF's ongoing success in supporting and amplifying exceptional, newly emerging writers and launching their ground-breaking new work is its enduring legacy.
"We are excited to spotlight these talented playwrights and incredible plays in this year's BAPF semifinalists and finalists," says Executive Artistic Director Jessica Bird Beza. "There are an abundance of powerful narratives included on the list that made for an incredibly difficult selection process. We want to uplift and advocate for the dynamic work of this next generation of playwrights to other theatermakers and hope to see them on stages around the country."
After listening closely to playwrights and other constituents, Playwrights Foundation recently announced that the Bay Area Playwrights Festival model will shift from an annual festival to a biennial hybrid festival in order to expand the pre-festival program from 4 to 12 months. This change will allow staff to be more intentional and responsive to each playwright's needs and increase the amount of time, care, and resources dedicated to each playwright.
"The past few years have been a time for reflection and growth at Playwrights Foundation, resulting in newly expressed purpose, vision, and values," said Beza. "We move forward with a deeper commitment to center and empower the playwrights we serve, guided by a strategic plan co-created with significant playwright representation, and the 46th Bay Area Playwrights Festival program model changes reflect this."

An incredible capture of this show for Closing! Some wandering is seen but never takes away from the action. Some shakiness from readjusting at time but never a lot. Very little washout is seen, only in major wideshots.
