In a tale akin to "Romeo and Juliet," the friendship between two children is threatened by their parents' differences. Malú is from an upper-class family and her single mother does not want her to play with Jorgito, as she thinks his background coarse and commonplace. Jorgito's mother, a poor socialist proud of her family's social standing, places similar restrictions on her son.. When the children learn that Malú's mother is planning to leave Cuba, they decide to travel to the other side of the island to find Malú's father and persuade him against signing the forms that would allow it.  Director Juan Carlos Cremata attending.

Similar a “Romeo y Julieta”, la amistad entre dos niños es amenazada por las diferencias entre sus padres. Malú es de familia de clase alta y su madre soltera no quiere que juegue con Jorgito de clase más baja. Malú quiere evitar que su madre se la lleve de Cuba, y Jorgito la acompaña en un viaje al otro lado de la isla para que ella convenza a su padre que de no firme los documentos que permitan su viaje. In Colombia cultivating poppies (Amapolas) is a dangerous, but lucrative business. A farmer and his son are exiled from their village at the high planes. They boy befriends a girl to borrows a little dog to play with, while the father is forced to work in the illegal Amapola (poppy) filed. The two stories intertwine when one day the boy follows his father to work. 

En Colombia cultivar amapolas es un negocio peligroso pero lucrativo. Un campesino y su hijo son expulsados de su pueblo en las montañas. El niño hace amistad con una niña quien pide prestado un perrito para jugar, mientras que el padre es forzado a trabajar en el campo ilegal de amapolas. Las dos historias se unen cuando un día el niño sigue a su papá a su trabajo.

Over half a century later, Arturo and Gustavo - now in their 70s - retrace that epic path, in an exploration of memory, the cycles of life and the unavoidable passage of time.

Without wishing it, she wins a Polaroid camera in a raffle, so, she proposes her husband to take pictures of their lives in the country. But the camera roll ends up and the hunger persists!

En el mercado de domingo la abuela Paulina sin querer se gana una cámara Polaroid en una rifa. Le propone a su esposo tomar fotos de sus vidas en el campo. Pero cuando el rollo de la cámara se termina, ¡el hambre persiste!
