Love @canonkiller 's oroborus art, and bought it a while back.

Now trying to have a go recreating it with laser etching. Currently have managed "not enough laser" and "too much laser", will see how I go.

ithink something interesting to consider is how out of the alan-drawn stickfigures the chosen one is the only one who doesnt really create. ive seen people paralleling tco and tdl as destruction and victim and tsc as creation which i can certainly agree with but also tdl has created things before. like the virabots and the bands and that cannon and such. its creation for the purpose of destruction but its still creation

so victim has the various tools they use that they built a whole business out of, tdl has the virabots and virabands and whatever else technology they mightve cooked up, tsc has the drawing tools and all their various creations, but tco never really Makes things beyond their innate powers. this isnt to say they arent crafty, they can certainly utilize what is around them to get an upper hand, but they never quite create anything of their own. i suppose they are powerful enough to not need it? but i still find the discrepancy intriguing. someone get this guy to a craft night stat

Fool's errand~ Art I drew as a decal for a split mechanical keyboard I'm planning on building then theming it after the webcomic Lackadaisy.

I'm really obsessed with making things smaller. next one on the chopping block is my keyboard. I already have a 70% keyboard, but that's still too big for me. I'm looking at the Corne keyboard. a small 36/42 key keyboard.

I'm theming it lackadaisy with Rocky and Mitzi art that I made adorning both of the splits. I'm planning to do a method where you put a thin layer of laser printer toner (which basically is just very fine black plastic powder) on top of the keyboard key, then slightly melt and bond the design with a laser engraver.

Still choosing and scouring out the components. but really looking forward to etching the design.

I reserved the use of the laser cutter and engraver at the local library for an hour tomorrow to make some jigs and things for my leatherworking, and I want to see how the machine handles engraving leather while I'm there, so I made this quick profile portrait of a random elf queen or something to use as a test. If it works out, I'll probably turn it into the decorative front guard of a dagger frog (a frog is the thing you hang from your belt that holds weapons)

Wanted to do a laser engraving piece inspired by Renarin and Jasnah, but I didn’t have enough time to get them in before my school closed down the machines for the semester. In the meantime at least I’ve got cool designs
