Custom Purple Coasters, Set of 8
Another request from my mom, to make coasters for her living room in her favorite colors
Everything in this set was customly designed, from the sizes of the pieces to the colors chosen and the design of the stitches.
I also added felt to the bottoms of the coasters, which is an add-on you can request (for no additional cost) but is not standard.
$20 plus shipping for a set of 4, $3 per each additional coaster
A set of 8 would be $32 plus shipping

Raise a Glass to Upcycle: Creating Beautiful Cork Coasters for Your Coffee Table
At Kavi Poetry Art, we believe in the power of upcycling to transform everyday items into beautiful and functional pieces for your home.
In this blog, we'll explore the art of repurposing glass bottles and corks to create stunning cork coasters that add charm and sustainability to your coffee table décor.
Tumblr media
Unlocking the Potential of Repurposed Materials:
When it comes to sustainable living, repurposing is key. Instead of letting glass bottles and corks end up in landfills, we're on a mission to give them a new lease on life. By harnessing our creativity and craftsmanship, we're able to transform these materials into beautiful cork coasters that not only serve a practical purpose but also make a stylish statement in your home. It's a win-win for both you and the planet.
Crafting with Care:
We take pride in our craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each square cork coaster design is carefully crafted by hand, ensuring that every piece is unique and of the highest quality. From selecting the perfect bottle to cutting and sanding the corks to precision, our skilled artisans put their heart and soul into every coaster they create. The result? A one-of-a-kind piece that adds character and warmth to your coffee table.
Embracing Sustainability:
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. By repurposing glass bottles and corks, we're able to reduce waste and minimise our environmental impact. Instead of contributing to the cycle of consumption and disposal, we're giving new life to materials that would otherwise end up in the trash. It's a small but meaningful way to make a difference and promote a more sustainable way of living by incorporating sustainable home accents.
Adding Style to Your Space:
Beyond their eco-friendly credentials, our cork coasters are also stylish additions to any home. With their rustic charm and natural textures, they complement a wide range of décor styles – from modern and minimalist to farmhouse chic. Whether you're enjoying a morning cup of coffee or hosting a gathering with friends, our square coasters are sure to impress your guests and elevate your coffee table aesthetic.
Join the Upcycling Movement:
Ready to raise a glass to upcycling? Join us in embracing the art of repurposing and discovering the beauty of sustainable living. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or new to the world of upcycling, creating cork coasters from repurposed materials is a fun and rewarding project that anyone can enjoy. With a little creativity and imagination, you can turn ordinary bottles and corks into beautiful pieces that add charm and sustainability to your home.
Conclusion:
As we raise a glass to upcycle, we invite you to join us in our mission to promote sustainability and creativity through repurposing. Whether you're crafting cork coasters for your own home or gifting them to loved ones, know that each piece you create makes a positive impact on the planet.
Together, we can turn ordinary materials into extraordinary works of art and inspire others to embrace the art of upcycling. Cheers to a brighter, more sustainable future!

Friendship with ‘trying to learn embroidery’ is over (for now, French knots are hard)
New friendship started with ‘trying to learn crochet’ (I’m buying yarn either today or tomorrow and a friend’s gonna teach me some basics via videocall)

Most garment knitting projects I make cost anywhere from like 70 to 80 dollars in materials (this fool knits with wool yarn) just in what gets used (never mind having to buy extra yarn to get the right amount of each colour in multicolour projects) so it's kind of a relief that the pattern i just finished knitting up only cost what would usually be 20 dollars of yarn. but actually i got this ball that i used on sale for just under 15 dollars when i bought it back in december (the sticker was still on the label when i peeled it open a few days ago) so that's even better. finally i've made a piece of clothing for cheaper than something like it could be bought at the store

What are the chances
If you visit the Square Enix Cafe in Akihabara or Artnia in Shinjuku, and order a drink, you get a random free character coaster. This would not be very exciting except if you had an incurable fixation with a specific character. Which I happen to have. (I know, what gave it away?)
Well, there’s a chance you can get a Vincent coaster from 4/5 until 5/10! So of course we had to try our luck…
Literally on my first try 😭❤️

Party Coasters
Check out these adorable party coasters!!
Lots to celebrate today, this is my 700th blog post and it happened to land on my 53rd birthday! 🥳🎉🎊 To commemorate, I wanted to share something a little different. Our 30-year-old water heater died this week. So, while we were moving and cleaning old dusty stuff, I found a box of unused ceramic tiles. I’ve always wanted to play with alcohol inks on tile but never had any tiles, until…
