Like fam the ONLY time you should ever say that is if maybe a non binary person requested it. And even then, if you looked into it for so much as a minute youd know that a non binary hyspanic would normally go by LatinE.
Like guys. Look into the gender neutral language invented by actual spanish speakers in Latam because there are efforts to make it from the actual people here and in general. We use the same rules spanish usually has but we substitute the usual A or O for an E. And even then there is some level of gendering required in nouns. For example as weird as it might sound, the term Non Binary is in itself gendered. Since “Binario” is a masculine word, but that is not relating to the individual its just how words are.
Generally speaking if gender neutral pronouns and terms are present, they are with an E as that has been basically labeled the gender neutral letter and its only really required in peoples prefered pronouns. Since the masculine is 99% of the time perfectly fine to use as gender neutral, because remember its not about actual gender. Say, the word for Masculinity is femenine (LA Masculinidad). One can make the personal choice to replace it with an E but it is an E, not an X.
This is more complicated obviously, E can also be masculine, “trabajadorEs” for example. So its better to just learn the basic more standardized rules of gendered spanish in order to the UNgender it. Which is an important point. As well as knowing what words you can and cant ungender without breaking everything.
I for example, only use these pronouns upon request, meaning refering to specific people. “Elle” is the generally agreed upon gender neutral pronoun for people. I dont know many non binary people so I dont use them often. But I hear generalizations like “Todes” often enough.
There is a way to make changes in the spanish language for further inclusivity, but those are not and will never be up to americans or non spanish speakers. In Latam Non binary is much less a fluid non comformity and more of a “gender number three” and our language is made to work with that.
This post takes the E into account, so its got that. So I dont think this is nearly as big of an issue as when they just straight up get it compleatly wrong. But still, Latinx is used way more than Latine, so its still important to say.
Also on a separate point, why are they implying the gender neutral ones and then the gendered ones as well? Like tf is the point of using the gender neutral at all then?

Ahem. Let me just, HEEL SANTOS HEEL SANTOS HEEL SANTOS HEEL SANTOS HEEL-
Thank you.
Summary: The reader returns to Smackdown after 4 months off with an injury. She is welcomed by her LWO friends. But Santos doesn't appear so happy to see her. Especially when he and the reader are hiding a secret that could bring LWO to its knees.
"I'm sorry about the loss on Saturday, too, Rey." You hug your uncle when you greet him backstage at Smackdown.
"Y/N! Gracias, Carino. And how is my favorite niece?" He asks you cheerfully, despite his loss.
You flash a smile and shrug. "I'm alright. Still nursing this dumb shoulder injury." You rub your shoulder with your good hand. "But the doc did say that I should be back to 100% soon." You assure him.
"That's wonderful news." Rey matches your smile. "Are you planning on sticking around tonight for Carlito's match against Bobby Lashley?" He asks you.
"I don't see why not?" You nod. "I haven't seen Zelina in a while. It'll be good to talk to her. And Santos as well."
Rey nods and heads backstage with you. "I'm sure that they'll all be happy to see you." He smiles.
Rey leads you through the backstage area and to the LWO locker room. You step through the door and it's almost like Zelina can sense your presence. You watch her swivel around in her chair next to the vanity and lock eyes with you.
"Y/N!" Zelina jumps to her feet and charges at you, engulfing you in a hug against her small frame when she reaches you.
"Zelina." You hug her with a laugh. "It's good to see you again."
Cruz and Joaquin both smile and wave at you while Zelina is still attempting to smother you with affection. You smile back at them in a friendly manner before your eyes travel further back into the room. Your gaze comes to a stop at Santos sitting in the corner of the room with a stoic expression. His eyes knowingly meet yours before he turns away.
"Are you back for real?" Zelina asks you after she's finally done hugging you. "Does this mean we can finally tag together again?" She eagerly pelts you with questions.
"As fun as that sounds, Zelina. No. Not yet, anyway." You shake your head. "I've still got some shoulder damage to work out. I just wanted to come by and see Tio Rey." You nod to your uncle now talking with Cruz.
Zelina flashes a frown, but quickly recovers and grabs your hand. "Come on! Let's chat while I finish my makeup. I've gotta catch you up on what you've been missing." She insists.
You nod and follow Zelina over to her vanity. You sit down next to her and listen intently as she explains everything that you've missed while you've been out on injury.
As Zelins drones on with her stories, like she often does when she's excited, your gaze wanders across the room again. Santos hasn't moved from his spot since you last looked over in his direction. His gaze picks up and meets yours, only you're the one to look away this time.
"Y/N?" Zelina nudges your arm when you don't answer her. "What's wrong?" She asks when she sees the occupied look on your face.
"Hmm? Oh, nothing." You shake your head and turn to Zelina. "Just thinking is all." You smile.
Zelina nods and goes back to her makeup. You glance at Santos one last time but he doesn't return the glance this time.
A little over an hour later, everyone is getting ready to head out to the ring so Rey can talk about his loss on Saturday. You've been chatting with Zelina about your recovery so you failed to notice that Santos wandered off a while ago.
"Well, I promised Dakota and Iyo that I'd stop by." You explain. "So, I'll be back in a bit, alright?"
"Okay." Zelina nods. "I'll see you in a bit, Y/N." She smiles at you.
You return Zelina's smile and head out of the locker room. You make your way down the hall and toward the women's locker rooms but you don't make it far when an arm reaches out from one of the unoccupied locker rooms and yanks you inside.
"What the fuck?" You curse the air as the door clicks shut behind you. "Santos? What are you doing?" You turn and find Santos ahold of your arm.
"I didn't want anyone to see us talking," Santos replies, his eyes on the door. "But I needed to see you. Alone." He explains.
You close your eyes for a second, knowing what this impromptu kidnapping is all about. Four months ago you were a full-time member of the LWO with your uncle Rey. You and Zelina were a tag team and about to challenge for the titles when you tore the ligament in your shoulder in a match against Shayna Basler and Zoey Starks.
In addition to being in the LWO because of Rey, you also had a secret fling going on with Santos. One that promptly ended when you had to leave because of your shoulder injury. You'd tried to explain to Santos that it couldn't go on. You could never do anything to hurt your uncle. Not after all the Dominik drama. But Santos fought to keep your fling going. And the break hit him hard.
"You look pretty." Santos smiles softly at you. "I've missed you these past four months." He reaches out and touches your arm cautiously.
"Santos." You look him in the eyes. "We can't...this can't happen again." You try and reason with him.
Santos blinks a couple of times at you. "Y/N, mi corzone." He looks at you with pleading eyes. "Please, don't say that. You came back before you needed to! Was it really just to see your tio?" He asks you.
You bite the inside of your lip as you fight with yourself internally about this. "Santos...I...I can't hurt Rey. After Dominik? I'm all he has left." You remind him.
"I love you," Santos replies plainly like he's not confessing to you right now. "And I know what we had wasn't just some fling. It was more than that." He insists. "Are you saying that you feel nothing for me? Because if that's true then please tell me now. Because I can't keep being led on like this."
"Santos, please." You're the one to plead with him this time. "You're asking me to choose between my heart and my family."
Santos looks at you knowingly and he raises a hand to your face. "You're right. I'm sorry, Mi corozone." His hand cups your cheek before he kisses your lips gently.
You close your eyes and savor the sweet sensation of his lips on yours before they suddenly disappear. When you open your eyes again you're alone in the empty locker room.
Later in the night, you are making your way back to the LWO locker room to find Zelins so the two of you can hang out. You pass by a TV monitor just in time to see her out in the ring with the rest of the LWO. But something is wrong. You come to a stop and watch in horror as Santos appears and promptly takes out Rey. Zelina makes a desperate attempt to stop him, but Santos is unrelenting. He beats Rey until the security staff have to pull him off of your uncle.
"Santos." You speak aloud in a shocked and hushed tone. "What did you do? What did I do?"

AT’s Guide to Country/Western/Blue Grass/Folk/Outlaw-
AT’s Non-Comprehensive Beginner’s Guide to “Country” Music
A handful of people were nice enough to encourage my delusions of competence, so here we! For my purposes, I’m just trying to explain a little how vast the realm of ‘country’ music is, how old it is, how most of what it actually sounds like it not your perception from the radio.
For this reason, I will not be including... any artists who you might reasonable hear on the radio station “The Highway” which tainted my youthful ear once upon a time (Chris Stapleton, I do like you).
Cool, alright, now before I begin rec-ing, a few points of clarification:
I do not claim that my word on this is comprehensive, good, or even strictly reliable, just that I’m trying to explain a few things from how I understand them; I think I have a deeper knowledge base on this subject than most in my sphere of Tumblr, but that doesn’t mean I know everything or even most things on this subject
If music, music genre, and/or music history interest you, I highly recommend looking into the subject of country music elsewhere, there’s a lot of neat info!
I’m going to be upfront with y’all and say a lot of Country artists, new and old, hold beliefs that I and probably you don’t like. You’re mileage may vary between artist to artist on what you feel comfortable with, mine certainly does. I encourage, though, not writing off a genre of music made for/by a traditionally very poor class of people in it entirety because you think all southern Americans are ‘bad’ people (as opposed to people from the north and Pacific coast, who are ‘good’ people with ‘good’ beliefs)
Similarly, there’s a lot of Jesus in this genre that sprung up from folks musics wherein all of the progenitors were Christians. Who would have guessed. Some of the Jesus is obnoxious, some of it’s genuinely moving in my opinion: you’re mileage will vary.
We’re exploring art.
Alright, more fun points of order!
Genre
The term ‘country’ music is a misnomer. Like most radio genres, the actual breadth of what exists is vast. There’s ALOT of different genres that get filed under ‘country’ for simplicities sake, but they are distinct. Here are a few notable ones-
Western - Country music from the American West. Same roots, developed differently by people moving out west in the 19th century. Think Cowboy Songs, Roy Rogers is a classic example. Incorporates aspects of Lantino sound.
Blue Grass - Very Appalachia. Fiddles and banjos, VERY acoustic. People who play Blue Grass are proud of that and like to shred on the strings, so in that vein, loves to go FAST. Blue Grass loves folk songs and and making songs that sound like folk songs
Folks - What it says on the tin, classic folk songs. Most ‘Folk Country’ that comes to mind is not actually historical folk! For example, ‘The Devil Went Down to Georgia’? Written in 1980!
Rocakbilly - Elvis, Elvis, Elvis, think Elvis and his contemporaries. Hillybilly with Country roots making Rock music.
Blues - A traditionally Black genre of music that was co-opted by white entertainers like Johnny Cash and Elvis, but you knew that. Bassy, also acoustic, but there are more horns. Blues is the basis for a lot of genres, including ‘country’, rock, and jazz (and many more). Still, has a distinct sound
(they all have distinct sounds that I can’t really explain, I’m sorry T_T)
Outlaw - emerged in the 1970s and 80s, the ‘edgy’ version of country music. This isn't your grandpappy’s Honky Tonking, we’re going to discuss poverty, drug addiction, and curse. This one’s where my heart lies, I must admit.
Southern Rock - This ones just rock music from the South, but a lot of people count it as country. Think Lynerd Skynerd and the Charlie Daniels Band.
Classic- Hank Williams looms large.
Recommendations
Now I’m actually going to recommend Country music that’s ‘good’. If you don’t like it, the genres not for you! If you do, congrats. (A lot of these are just my personal favorites, there’s so much more out there). I’m only recommending five artists per era, but there’s SOOOO much more out there. I’m also trying to pick people I think are emblematic of different strains of music in their eras, so there’s that too.
Hippies and Cowboys (50s & 60s)
Hank Williams: Big Papa is the patron saint of Country music, there’s been approximately 12 thousand songs written about him, in the words of David Allen Coe “no doubt, he was the greatest of all”. He died tragically young. I think his legacy is cooler than his music but *shurgs*
The exception to that is ‘I Saw the Light’, this song is a classic and it fucking slaps!
Elvis: Is Elvis a country singer? Hmmmm, honestly I say no, but his legacy is undeniable and he did come from country roots, both literally and musically. You know what Elvis sounds like.
Some recommendations anyway, Hound Dog is originally a Blues song originally sung by Big Mama Thorton
Can’t Help Falling in Love is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written, fuck you
Buck Owens: In my humble opinion, when I think of a Nashville star who embodies the ‘I’m on the radio and tv and your great grandma loved my show’ I think Buck Owens
I like this one, Under Your Spell Again
Johnny Cash: This is well known country lore, but did you know (my presumed reader) that he and his wife June (famous love story unto itself) spent their later years running a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program for country stars? They really helped people. His music was also really good.
I presume you know what Johnny Cash sounds like. Still- Ghost Riders In the Sky fucks, more Western
And if you want a song you’ve probably never heard from him, Daddy Sang Bass makes my dad cry
Merle Haggard: He was on the tale end of this era in my mind, he was a progenitor of Outlaw. He didn’t just sing about prison, he went to prison
His really famous song is Okie from Muskogee, but that ones eh (and he agrees, he thought it was stupid by the end of his life), so instead I’m recommending The Bottle Let me Down
And also Mama Tried, this ones really good.
*Cue Stranger Things Intro* (70s & 80s)
Waylon Jennings / Willie Nelson: They represent the same kind of thing in my mind, and also they sung SO many songs together and sang each others songs all the time, we’re consolidating. These guys MADE the era. They get four songs.
Luckenbach, Texas, beautiful, beautiful song, a great love song.
Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, a CLASSIC
The City of New Orleans, this songs about a TRAIN and I love it and it gives me Earendil feelings.
Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow up to be Cowboys, another just really solid classic. Three of these songs I’ve made Tolkien parodies of
Kris Kristofferson: One of my favorites of all time, he was more famous as a songwriter (he wrote like half of the top 100 for several years) but I like him individually too
Beat the Devil, this is my favorite song of all time
Jesus Was a Capricorn, this ones really funny, basically just saying chill and leave the hippies alone.
Sunday Morning, Coming Down, is such a bittersweet beautiful look at life.
David Allan Coe: he’s getting like four, I love his stuff. He loves to talk about the genre unto itself, it’s so great
Never Even Called Me By Name, there’s nothing like being in a bar and the whole damn place is singing this at the top of their lungs
The Ride, when I tell you this song BLEW MY MIND the first time I heard it
Longhaired Redneck, a song about being a country guy who mixes genres, I love iiiitttt
Willie, Waylon, and Me, a little bit of a country history lesson in and of itself!
Seldom Scene: They’re more bluegrassy! Really like them, it touches the soul
Wait a Minute, beautiful beautiful beautiful
West Texas Wind, this is the kind of music Elves would make if they sang country
Satan’s Choir, I cannot overemphasize how lovely they’re stuff sounds.
Glenn Campbell: Who can hate Glenn Campbell?
You heard Southern Nights in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, so I’m actually recommending Wichita Lineman
And also Rhinestone Cowboy, you’ll notice that being a ‘sellout’ Rhinestone Cowboy is a theme.
She Gets Her Own Category
You Know Who Dolly Parton Is, here are the must-listens
Jolene
Coat of Many Colors
9 to 5
And also all of it, go listen to Dolly Parton
Still Old, But My Dad Calls it the New Fangled Country (90s & 00s)
Billy Don Burns
Tired and Troubled Soldiers, is such an impactful song about drug abuse and empathy for addicts. and Full Blown Addict, is a FUN song about drug abuse, lol
Haggard and Hank, more genre discussion!!
Alison Kraus: This woman has one of the most beautiful voices of all time, and also she is MONEY on the fiddle, GIVE HER HER DUE!
She’s covered every folk song on earth and she was the go-to female accompaniment vocalist in country for years, I’m dead serious when I say JUST LOOK HER UP
The Boy Who Wouldn’t Hoe Corn
Whiskey Lullaby, forgive the Brad Paisely, they duetted this song
Man of Constant Sorrow (thats her on the fiddle)
Drive-by Truckers
Carl Perkin’s Cadillac, even more discussion of country history. I almost put Carl Perkins on this list, he was the guy who lost out to Elvis mania
Let There be Rock, and now discussion of ROCK history, but it’s so good.
Robert Earl Keen: I’ve seen him in concert twice, such a good show. He’s more Western! Very underrated.
Ride, my second favorite song of all time.
Front Porch Song, just... I can’t describe what this makes me feel, but it feels like home.
I can’t think of a fifth artist, I was a wee child and my parents weren’t paying as close attention, I”M SORRY!
More Contemporary (If any of these people have been cancelled, I live under a rock, I’m sorry)
Turnpike Troubadours: I love these guys sound, I’m so glad they’re touring again. They’re GREAT, the best stuff coming out rn in my opinion.
Gin, Smoke, Lies, break up song but it’s her fault
Good Lord Lorrie, break up song but it’s his fault
7&7, a bad boyfriend reflects on being his first gf bad first bf, i enjoy this concept a lot
Tyler Childers: Lovely voice, please forgive the song titles
Feathered Indians, I’m begging you to look past the title of this song and give it a listen, it’s not what you think, it’s really good T_T I swear, I swear, Tyler Childers why have you done this to me
Whitehouse Road, just a classic theme executed really well
Blackberry Smoke
One Horse Town, just a good classic theme executed really well
Let Me Down Easy, this one tugs at my heart, it’s so damn sad and sweet
Cody Jinks
Hippies and Cowboys, I stole a section title from him! This is a good song about not fitting int between subcultures and yeah!
Loud and Heavy, this sounds so good
Miranda Lambert: I was originally going to leave her off as too mainstream and then I realized I couldn’t think of any other female country stars I liked well enough, *long sigh*
I like all her albums, but if I’m picking-
Me and Your Cigarettes
Bathroom Sink
Anyway her band, the Pistol Annies, is also really good
Anyway, that’s it! I hope this was instructive and musically helpful, instead of rage inducing. I feel compelled to promote myself here and say I’ve written a Middle Earth Country/Western Album that’s on Ao3, which I think is funny. I parody a lot of the songs mentioned on here. That’s all.
In conclusion-
Country music is good, the haters just- quite literally- don’t know what they’re talking about.
#tribble post#forgive me for any and all inacurracies I'm sure there are many#also I'm not interested in anyone coming in and reading this in bad faith#so if you think it's going to make you made to see someone genuinly enjoying country music and talking about country artists-#maybe just don't

As much as I find this hilarious

I absolutely agree with this person
Okay seriously I haven't seen anyone talk about this so I guess I have to. Did Husk straight up forget Valentino's name???
Like now I'm imagining this whole time Husk has just been referring to Valentino in his mind as "that fuckhead" or something and he just completely blanked on what his actual name was again.

Damian who? Santos is my only valid Lantino papi <3
Summary: After defecting from the LWO and reuniting with his Legado family, Santos finds himself faced with a decision regarding the reader and Elektra who are both vying for his affection.

You arrive to the LFI lockeroom early so you've got plenty of time to get ready for the show. Angel and Humberto are already there hanging out when you arrive, but Santos and Elektra haven't shown up just yet.
"Hey, Berto, Angel." You wave at the pair as you come through the door.
"Hey, YN." Humberto waves back at you, looking up from his phone.
Angel nods at you as well, but doesn't say anything. You shut the locker room door and head over to the vanity sitting in the corner. You set your duffel bag down and fish your makeup bag out of it so you can get started on dolling up your face.
"Who are you getting all prettied up for, YN?" Angel saunters over to you after a few minutes.
"Not you, Angel, that's for sure." You tease him.
Angel chuckles and rolls his eyes playfully. "You hear that, cousin?" He turns back to Humberto. "YN here's got a thing for our fearless leader."
"Mhm." You hum while applying your mascara carefully. "Jealous?" You continue to joke around with Angel.
"Maybe a little." Angel grins at you. "Any man would be lucky to have your attention, Mi Amore." He winks at you.
You giggle and Angel finally leaves you alone for the time being. You finish up your makeup and are putting things away when Elektra and Santos finally arrive. You watch the pair in the mirror as they come through the door. Your jaw clenches in jealousy when you spot the way Elektra hangs on Santos as they come inside the locker room.
"Afternoon, Santos." You swivel around in your chair and greet Santos, also making a point to ignore Elektra.
"YN! Punctual as always, I see, Mi Corazon." Santos walks over to you. "How long have you been here?" He asks you.
You shrug like your earliness is no big deal. "Oh around half an hour is all." You assure him. "Angel and Humberto were already here when I arrived." You add.
"Well, those two don't have anything special going on anyway." Santos replies. "But you, Mi Corazon. I's expect you to have plenty going on." He smirks at you.
You drop your head and smile to yourself for replying. "Oh? And what kinds of things do you expect me to be doing in my free time, Santos?" You ask him.
"Well, I imagine that you've got droves of men dying to meet you in whatever city we're in." Santos explains. "I know I'd pay a high price to get a photo with such a beautiful woman." He adds with a wink.
"Santos!" You giggle playfully.
A few feet away, Elektra scoffs quietly to herself before making her way over to the two of you. "Santos! You're going to come out with me for my match against Tiffany Straton, right?" She asks him, batting her eyelashes gently.
"Yes, I said I would come out with you earlier." Santos reminds Elektra, turning away from you.
"Thank you, Santos." Elektra cooes. "It's nice to have support from our fearless leader." She grins and bats her eyelashes again.
You roll your eyes, regonizing the game that Elektra is attempting to play with you. "I've got that match against Zelina as well, tonight." You get Santos' attention back on you. "But since you're going out with Elektra, I think that I'll go it alone tonight."
"Nonsense." Santos protests. "You should take Humberto and Angel with you." He insists. "Joaquin and Cruz will most likely be out there, and I don't want you to be alone."
"I can handle myself, Santos." You remind him. "I don't need a man looking out for me." You add, making sure to glance over at Elektra at the same time.
Santos nods, a small smile playing on his lips. "I know, Mi Amore." He assures you. "But please, take Angel and Humberto with you." He asks you. "It'd put my mind at ease knowing that you weren't left all alone out there."
"Okay." You nod. "But only because you asked, Santos." You touch his arm gently.
"Thank you, YN." Santos smiles in releif.
You step off into the other room to get changed into your ring gear. While you're in the middle of changing, Elektra comes into the room to do the same.
"YN." Elektra looks at you with a stoic expression.
"Elektra." You greet her with the same dry tone and look on your face.
Silence falls over the room as the two of you get changed. But Elektra can't help but speak up after a while of the rwo of you ignoring one another.
"This little game you're playing with Santos isn't funny, puta." Elektra turns toward you with fire in her eyes and a sour tone.
"Oh?" You reply with a sly smile. "And what game is that?" You dare ask her.
Elektra scoffs and moves toward you. "He's never going to be into you." She sneers. "Not when he can have me. So you'd be smart to end the game right here and now." Elektra glares at you.
You laugh and pull on your cropped jacket. "See, the thing is, Elektra." You grin, not giving her the satisfaction of stopping what you're doing. "You claim that this is a game. But it's not. See, a game implies that more than one person is playing." You laugh to yourself. "But the truth is, there was only ever one. Because you were never a player to begin with, Elektra." You wink at her and step toward the door.
"Excuse me!" Elektra fumes, but you swing open the door and step back into the main locker room before she can get a word out.
Your match with Zelina is scheduled first, so you pick up Angel and Humberto and head out with them. Your match with Zelina is around 10 minutes long, and you manage to pick up the win against her before heading backstage again.
Elektra's match against Tiffany is right after yours, so she and Santos are waiting behind the curtain when you get backstage.
"YN! Wonderful job out there!" Santos praises you. "You looked fantastic."
"Thanks, boss." You match his grin. "And, hey, I told you that I didn't need the pretty boy squad." You add and nod to Angel and Humberto. "Joaquin and Cruz were hardly any trouble."
Santos nods, aknoledging that you were right. "Of course." He smiles at you. "I should have listened to you." He jokes.
You and Santos linger near each other for a moment before Elektra drags him off for her match. You head back to the locker room with Angel and Humberto so you can change again.
Once you're back in your normal clothes, you head back out to the main locker room just as Elektra and Santos are returning from the ring.
"Hey, guys." You wave at them both. "How'd the match go?" You ask casually.
"Ugh!" Elektra groans and stomps past you.
You watch Elektra slam the door before you turn back to Santos. "She lost. Escobar explains.
"Oh." You nod. "Too bad. Tiffany is really good, though." You shrug.
Santos nods in agreement, and the two of you chat for a few minutes before Elektra comes back from her tantrum.
"Santos!" Elektra whines and walks up to him. "Buy me drinks after the show?" She asks him. "To make me feel better about losing?" She frowns.
"Elektra, come on." Santos shakes his head, putting a few inches of distance between the two of them. "What has been going on with you these past few weeks?" He confronts her.
Elektra's frown deepens. "What do you mean?" She asks him.
"You've been clinging to me like some desperate teenage girl." Santos explains. "And I'm getting tired of it." He admits.
"Are you kidding me?" Elektra scoffs. "YN's been dropping hints to you same as me!" She points a finger at you. "What's the difference?"
Santos scoffs and glances at you. "There's a big difference, Elektra." He insists. "YN hasn't been acting like childish. She flirts with me, yes. But she hasn't been acting desperate. Which is exactly what you're doing."
"Ugh! Whatever!" Elektra sneers and turns to you. "You can have him, YN!" She scoffs before storming off.
You watch Elektra slam the door once again and laugh once she's gone. "Well, that was dramatic." You giggle.
"Got that right." Angel chimes in. "So, drinks for everyone after the show?" He suggests.
"I'm game." You nod. "As long as Santos is buying the first round." You tease Esobar.
Santos chuckles and walks back over to you. "Happy to buy if it's for you, Mi Corazon." He grins at you.

I was just gonna reblog this without saying anything but I will be 100% if you get called any of these (with the exception of cis, and I suppose Latinx if you want it over Lantino/a) these are not insults or slurs. These are descriptions of your behavior. If you hear "you sound a bit racist" or "you're being a Nazi" irl you probably are. Better yet, if someone online calls you one, you need to rethink what you said or did- or that person is just trolling.

This is a manipulative abuse tactic called Leveling. In which the abusive individual equates their behavior to that of their victim.
A common form of Leveling is claiming that calling out abuse is the same or as bad as being abusive. This is exactly what Musk is doing here by equating the calling out of bigotry with bigotry.
Edit: This isn't Musk's doing, though it is similar to things he said in the past. Still an example of Leveling tho.
