## You should apply these Coping Strategies when you are Upset................
1- Recognize and acknowledge the emotion: Allow yourself to feel upset without judgment. Acknowledge the emotion and its intensity.
2- Take deep breaths: Deep breathing can help calm the body's stress response and promote relaxation.
3- Talk to someone: Sharing your feelings with a trusted friend, family member, or therapist can provide emotional support and perspective.
4- Practice self-care: Engage in activities that help you relax and feel good, such as taking a warm bath, going for a walk, or listening to music.
5- Use relaxation techniques: Techniques such as meditation, yoga, or progressive muscle relaxation can help reduce stress and promote a sense of calm.
6- Write about your feelings: Keeping a journal can help you process your emotions and gain insight into what is causing your upset.
7- Engage in physical activity: Exercise can help release pent-up emotions and boost mood through the release of endorphins.
8- Limit exposure to upsetting stimuli: If possible, try to remove yourself from the source of your upset or limit your exposure to it.

Wood Engraving Wednesday
TONY DREHFAL
Wisconsin wood engraver Tony Drehfal delights in intricate, tightly-focused, textured surfaces as demonstrated in this 17.5 x 12.7 cm (6.9 x 5 in.) print entitled Dovetail, selected by my Wisconsin colleagues Tracy Honn and Jim Moran for inclusion in the Fourth Triennial Exhibition 2020-2022 of the American American wood engravers society, the Wood Engravers’ Network (WEN). This image is from the catalog for that travelling show.
Drehfal learned wood engraving from Ann Arbor wood engraver and WEN founder Jim Horton in 2002, and after a 35-year career as a college photographer, Drehfal retired in 2015 to focus exclusively on wood engraving. He has quickly become a leader in the wood engraving community, and is a member of both WEN and its venerable British counterpart, the Society of Wood Engravers. Of his process, Drehfal writes:
Landscape and the minute details of the natural world serve as the primary inspiration of my wood engravings. Photography, drawing and engraving interweave in my creative process. I take photos often during hikes . . . near my home . . . in northern Wisconsin. Over time, recurring visual themes accumulate; birch trees, decaying stumps, knots and bark textures, and reflections in woodland ephemeral pools. I then draw and expand a theme in my sketchbook, using photos as reference. There is a point when photo references are put away and the process of drawing and wood engraving take on their own natural cadence towards a resulting print.

You know, I’m happy for Max for finally being able to get her photos exhibited, and not have to undo it all because of some tornado, or be denied by some rude New Yorkers.
Now we know she truly made it as a photographer. Just like Chloe said that she would after all this time.
😁📸
Honestly, that is one thing I'm really happy to see. Max was definitely the most career-focused out of all the LiS protagonists and it's really gratifying to see her artistic career take off and her work recognized. And also actually see her work, read the exhibit placards with her professional bio, and use the camera as a player, because it was difficult to see the throughline and thought process behind her photos in LiS1.
I also find Max's photographic subjects so fascinating. The exhibition is called "Walking With Ghosts," and this is the description:
After receiving her first camera at the age of six (a Contax T2), Maxine Caulfield has sought to capture a life that evades explanation. From the recent "green hell" of the recession-era Pacific Northwest to the ancient industrial of the Rust Belt, she has restored meaning to empty places, illuminating the plights of everyday people living on the brink of change. A winner of the IPA award and a National Geographic Fellowship, she is currently Caledon University's Hannah Hellerton Artist in Residence.
In short, it looks like Max became a freelance travel photographer after the first game and has been all over the United States. I wouldn't be surprised if she did photojournalism as well, because the examples point toward raising awareness for environmentalism and poverty in the Rust Belt, and she even won a fellowship hosted by National Geographic (the prestige!!).
However, the actual photos on display are all landscapes. In the reveal livestream, Hannah Telle describes Max like, "She doesn't feel comfortable in any one place, and she's living a nomadic lifestyle, taking photographs of abandoned, lonely spaces. For some reason, anything that's desolate or stark or intense really draws her eye." Max's new artistic obsession with destroyed environments seems to be her way of processing her trauma about witnessing the storm and the people she may have lost, whether or not it destroyed Arcadia Bay. The diner photo "Order Up" is definitely inspired by The Two Whales, for example.
What really intrigues me about Max's work is that it just toes the line between artistic and unnerving... much like her current mental state, where her intense trauma is just beneath the surface. Essentially, Max's photography captures liminal spaces, likely meant to evoke a mix of nostalgia, eeriness, and surrealness in the viewer. Max's photos most definitely include places where people have died, and where most people would be scared away, Max is instead drawn to these sites, as if seeking a big enough creative outlet for her gaping crater of grief. And who else was obsessed with capturing moments of transition between innocence and fear...? None other than Mark Jefferson.
Now, I don't know if D9 will go as far as to delve into the implications of Max's trauma on her morality, but after writing Alex as unambiguously a good person, it could be extremely weighty and nuanced if D9 used Max's art as a reflection of her mental state and show her actively resisting becoming like her disturbed, predatory teacher, which would also tie DE more strongly to LiS1. So far at least, we know she's not obsessed with the macabre like Nathan Prescott was. I don't think her art is mentally disturbed, but D9's interpretation (so far) is a really intelligent way of showing that Max's eye and mind are reflective of someone on the fringes of society. While her work has resonated with artists and critics, it's also not the healthiest way to process her trauma. I think showing the darker sides of her personality (that isn't just a nightmare sequence at the end) could make for some really thoughtful, nuanced characterization. She's already socially separated from most people because of her powers and trauma, so she brings new light to neglected spaces (and likely people, too) in her art.
Also, it's now canon that Max got her first camera when she was six years old, the same year she met Chloe 🥹 Nowadays, Contax T2's go for over $1,000 on Ebay! Even back then, Max was a little artiste who apparently knew how to scope out the most coveted analog camera 😂

hi! newish follower here so idk maybe you've already answered here haha but do you have any hobbies outside of fic/fandom that you want to yap about? :)
Ahh welcome, and thank you for asking ♥️ I haven't answered this before actually, but I suddenly feel like I've never had a hobby in my life except for writing JJK fic, haha! Let's see...
Other than making music (which sits in a complex space in my mind and can't be neatly categorised as a "hobby"), most of the things I enjoy relate to wildlife! Conserving nature and promoting biodiversity are close to my heart and my personal life, so I'm very passionate about these topics and how they intersect with social justice.
In fact, I care so much that I sought out a career in this field, despite my previous professional development becoming useless as a result! Working in this area is very different to finding enjoyment in nature for myself. However, regardless of the difficulties my job brings, I love wildlife photography, I love gardening for wildlife, and I love getting involved with citizen science projects related to wildlife — usually in conjunction with one another! Over the last couple of years:
I've planted a tiny wildlife pond in a Belfast sink and watched it become a habitat for frogs, damselflies, pollinators, and lots of other creatures;
I've painstakingly established and maintained a tiny native wildflower meadow, and seen it support grasshoppers and birds and rare solitary bees;
I've re-landscaped my small outdoor space to create a highway for wild mammals and encourage natural predators of "pests" to the places I need them;
I've taken part in countless bird and butterfly counts throughout the different seasons, and learned to read the natural environment around me more intuitively in the process; and
I've taken lots and lots of photographs throughout, capturing rare species that I never would have spotted if I hadn't been looking in the first place!
It is genuinely the most rewarding thing to see wild animals and insects enjoying the fruits of your labour. I think it's also a balm for broader climate dread, because while individuals don't have the power to make a difference on a global scale, we can make a difference in our local area. It's a slow process, and it takes a long time and a lot of hard work to see results, but it's so worth it. I'd encourage everyone to take small actions for wildlife wherever they can, because the wellbeing benefits it brings are enormous!
Since I'm yapping about it already, I'm going to take this opportunity to make a few little PSAs about some common mistakes when it comes to helping wildlife:
Save the wild bees! Honeybees are essentially managed livestock, and do not need our help. They have humans to control disease, provide food, and defend the nest. Bumblebees and solitary bees have to fend for themselves, and commercial honeybee colonies in the area often outcompete them for the scarce resources they depend on. Take some time to research your local native wild pollinators and provide food plants specific to those species!
In general, sugar water for bees does more harm than good. It's much better to provide them with natural sources of nutrition from native flowering plants! Think of sugar water as a junk food snack and a garden of diverse flowers as a balanced, healthy meal!
Similarly, bird feeders should be handled with care. Watching birds using your feeders is wonderful and we shouldn't overlook the valuable nature connection the experience provides. However, it's always better to provide resources through diverse planting that offers food throughout the seasons. If putting out bird feeders, clean them rigorously and regularly to prevent the spread of disease, and research birds' changing nutritional requirements at different times of year so you can provide accordingly!
Um. I went from saying I have no hobbies to lecturing everyone about wildlife conservation. I wasn't joking when I said I'm passionate 😭 Thanks for the question, and I hope this was interesting and/or educational to someone at least!
#let's talk about the birds and the bees! no not like that!#i had a lot of fun yapping so thank you ♥️#save the bees#conservation#biodiversity#wildlife#ask fushiglow

Sombre (ninth - part i) - (ninth - part ii) - (ninth - part iii)
//tw: miscarriage, blood, depression, dark stuff, angst
Miya Atsumu x Reader (Angst!)
Life in your village was… comforting. Mornings began with helping your father in the kitchen, resuming your morning runs, and feeding ducklings by the pond. With your neighbor, Mr. Kishimoto, you ventured into the rhythmic choreography of seaweed farming, where the ebb and flow of the ocean soothed the pain in your heart. The days were relatively busier. Yet, as dusk fell and night draped its veil, you found yourself in the quiet of your room with an unsettled mind, tears trickling slowly as you hugged your pillow tightly until morning came again.
One afternoon, while browsing the quaint local market, you spotted Mrs. Tanaka and a young, eccentric woman named Yuki with short, brightly dyed hair and a paint-splattered smock, standing in stark contrast. "Y/n-chan!" Mrs. Tanaka greeted warmly, her eyes crinkling with delight as you exchanged greetings. She grabbed a yogurt from the shelf and turned to leave, then paused with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Oh, by the way, Yuki was looking for some help painting a background tapestry for the Eisa festival. Are you free to lend her a hand?"
Your eyes narrowed as you tried to decipher her smile. Slowly, you nodded, "Sure." Yuki beamed with enthusiasm. "Let's meet on Sunday at my studio by the beach. It'll be a blast!"
On Sunday, you arrived at Yuki’s studio, where she had transformed an old fishing shack into a vibrant workspace. You were greeted by canvases splashed with bright colors and the scent of fresh paint lingering in the air. Yuki welcomed you with a wide grin. “Shall we get started?” She handed you a brush and pointed to a bucket of paint. You began painting the backdrop, mirroring her movements.
After some time, Yuki began sharing her passion. “I love expressing Okinawa's spirit through my paintings,” she explained animatedly, showing you her sketches for the tapestry. “Art allows me to capture the essence of this island—the rich culture, vibrant colors, and deep connection to nature.”
You listened intently, captivated by Yuki's fervor. Your eyes traced the intricate details of her work. “It's amazing how art can convey so much emotion and beauty,” you mused, recalling your own joy in photography. “Capturing moments in time felt like capturing a piece of the soul.”
Yuki's eyes lit up with curiosity. "Why did you stop?" she asked gently. You sighed, a hint of regret tugging at your heart. "Life happened, I suppose. Moving to Osaka, starting a career, and then... other things got in the way. I lost touch with what brought me joy.”
Yuki nodded thoughtfully. "Sometimes life distracts us from what truly matters,” she hummed, continuing, “But you're back now, and Okinawa is waiting for you to rediscover its beauty through your lens."
"Yeah... maybe," you hummed along with Yuki's song, stroking the brush against the canvas. You started thinking about your old camera, making a mental note to ask your dad about it. Mrs. Tanaka entered, marveling at the progress you both had made.
Suddenly, a mischievous grin spread across Yuki's face. "You know, yn-chan, we should capture Mrs. Tanaka doing the Eisa dance! That would be a sight to behold!"
You chuckled, picturing the usually composed Mrs. Tanaka in the midst of the dance. "That would be quite a photo! Mrs. Tanaka, are you up for it?"
Mrs. Tanaka chuckled softly, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Oh, my dear, you might need a faster camera for that!" The three of you burst into laughter.
Inspired by Yuki's encouragement and lighthearted humor, you returned home that evening with renewed determination. Rummaging through your belongings, you unearthed your old camera, its familiar weight comforting. Alongside it, you found a few photographs from your early days.
Standing by the window, you gazed out at the tranquil Okinawan landscape bathed in twilight's soft glow. The rhythmic lull of the ocean waves echoed a gentle reassurance, prompting a realization to bloom within your soul.
In the quiet solitude of your thoughts, you recalled Yuki's words, “Those who find contentment within themselves will be truly rich.” This resonated deeply, reminding you that true wealth lay not in material possessions but in finding peace and fulfillment within oneself.
You understood that amidst life's tumultuous journey, finding solace in passions and embracing self-love were the foundations of happiness. Each click of the shutter would capture not only Okinawa's beauty but also your journey—of healing, rediscovery, and the profound wisdom gained through embracing solitude.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting hues of gold and lavender across the sky, a serene calm settled within your heart. With a peaceful smile, you whispered a silent promise to yourself—to never lose this part of yourself again.
You realized that true happiness begins within oneself before it can be shared with others.
I know the three parts of the ninth chapter are boring. Bear with me. :)

Part 2
"Steve, that Byers boy is here for you.”
Steve was in the middle of clearing the dishes from breakfast when he heard. “Okay.”
“We’ll be back late tonight. Money for the landscapers is by the door.”
Jonathan came in just as the man walked out, brow furrowed. “Who the heck was that?”
“Uh, my dad?”
“Is you say so. Look, we gotta hash this thing out. No one else but Dustin was supposed to know.”
Steve leaned back against his sink. “Yeah but if we tell everyone we were lying, then we’re back to square one.”
“You’re back to square one. As I recall, this was a Steve problem.”
“Here’s the thing about problems, they can spread to other people. Like if Dustin continues to pester me about dating, maybe I stop being so generous with my car. Maybe those kids will have to hound someone else for rides.” Steve raised his eyebrows at Jonathan.
Jonathan rubbed at his face. “Everyone else is gonna know by now.”
“I know, I’m sorry. I’ll make it up to you.”
“Yeah you will.”
---------------------------------
Eddie was in the middle of walking down the street, ignoring the dirty looks when who should he see, sipping milkshakes but the new set of lovebirds. He knew most people thought of him as shady so he had no shame ducking behind a mailbox to watch them from across the street.
To most, it definitely looked like just a couple of guys being pals. And before, Eddie would have seen it like that too. But now that he knew the truth about their relationship, he couldn’t help but read more into Steve’s smile.
And Jonathan seemed relaxed in a way that he only got when he was high. Just what in the world did they talk about when they were alone?
“I wanna go. And I wanna study photography. But like, how do I explain that to my mom?”
“You think she’s gonna fight you or something?”, Steve asked.
“No, not really. If anything, she’ll be mostly supportive. But unless you’re a big name, you can’t make a lot of money. And I know that’s gonna be her first thought. ‘How are you gonna pay your bills? Or tuition?’ That kind of thing.”
“I mean, personally, I wasn’t always a fan of your work. But if you have a dream, you should go for it. Even if you failed, at least you tried. I don’t even have...” Steve trailed off and swirled his shake around.
“Have, what?”
“Even if I could get into college, what would I even do?”
“Sorry man, I’m not a career counselor”, Jonathan said.
“You’re supposed to offer solutions and ways to help solve my problems. Some boyfriend you are.”
“Bring it up with the Better Business Bureau.”
Eddie bit his fist as he watched them. And things just went downhill after that. Whenever Steve and Jonathan were around, and they were surrounded only by their closest friends, they were holding hands. Or they were standing really close together, or sitting really close. And Eddie couldn’t stand it. It sort of felt like Jonathan had stolen his spot. But could he really claim something that he’d never had?
Meanwhile, Steve was putting up an impressive front but only because he was avoiding alone time with Robin like the plague. Which she could tell he was doing so she had no choice but to corner him. Her plan involved going into his room, stealing some of his hair products, and waiting.
And like clockwork, he realized he was out, went to the store, and Robin trapped him in aisle 6.
“Spill the beans, Harrington.”
Steve looked down at his basket of products, then Robin, and realized he’d been played.
“Robin, seriously? You know better than to mess with my hair.”
“And you know better than to keep secrets from me. Especially secrets like this.”
“Please tell me you still have my stuff and didn’t just dump it.”
“Of course I do. I’m not an evil witch.”
“Good.” Steve began to put the products back on the shelf. She may have been conniving, but at least she didn’t make him spend extra money. It was only when they were back in his car that she started the conversation again.
“You and Jonathan....makes zero sense. Especially since you’re straight.”
“Who said I’m straight? I’m allowed to appreciate guys.”
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner then? Hm?”
“Because!”, Steve shouted with fake indignation as he tried to stall for an explanation. “Because, I called one of your crushes a Muppet and I didn’t want you to tease me about Jonathan, okay?”
“Steven, I’m not a child. I don’t hold grudges like that. And Jonathan’s fine. Isn’t it weird though? To date the ex of your ex?”
“We’ve seen our fair share of weird stuff. Me and Jonathan don’t even make the top ten.”
“Point taken. So like...what do you like about him, I guess?”
Steve smiled at her attempt. “Are you trying to do guy talk?”
“Yes! I thought it might be doable since you’re gay but it’s still talking about dudes and I feel like I’m horribly out of my depth. How can you do girl talk so easy?”
“Well, I like both, so...”
“Bullshit.”
“How is that bullshit? I’ve dated girls and guys. Do you only like one kind of sandwich?”
Robin was quiet for a moment. “Just when I think I’m done discovering you, you get a little bit deeper.”
“I’m a man of many talents.”

I've also been thinking a lot about closeted pop stars (including Harry) in the time of Chappel Roan. Mostly unformed thoughts but very eager to see what's next for all of them
You sent this a while back anon - and I keep thinking of answering it and each time what 'in the time of Chappell Roan' has shifted slightly and so my answer has got more complicated and the fundamental differences between Chappell Roan and Harry have become more obvious.
I think there's an emotional landscape question about what it means to be a closeted pop star in this moment. I don't know if we can imagine the complexity of this answer - and when we try it's important to include the push back against the fan gaze that is coming from queer artists.
The other side of this question is what it means for his career. And here I think it's worth asking what does it mean that Harry is going to be making pop music in this moment. It's been a time of these massive, interesting, female pop acts. All of whom in their own particular ways say something about themselves and something about pop with their art. It's been a time that Taylor Swift, who has baked cookies for her fans in the past, has told fans to fuck off in songs.
None of this is very Harry Styles. One of the things that has been really interesting to me watching the pop landscape shift this year - is that has really made me define what Harry does. These are I think the key elements to his proposition:
With each album he has had a very big song that spoke to the moment we're in
His aesthetic is striking, interesting and playful (thanks Harry L - but also thanks to hiring strong artists with a point of view for key tasks such as album photography)
In his music there's a lot of space for people to project onto, with particular space for fantasies
The core of the fantasy is the live show and its place of joy
And certainly there's a huge gap between that - and what we've been seeing from other artists recently.
I was listening to a recent episode of Every Single Album and Nora and Nathan were talking about Harry Styles for a while (I can't remember which one and would welcome pointers, because it's not clear from the episode description). And Nathan in particular was suggesting that Harry would need to think carefully about how he presented himself in this space and it wouldn't be enough to be projected onto - he needed to share something of himself. Here Dua Lipa is used as sort of a cautionary tale of what happens if you don't have enough Lore.
It's not that I entirely disagree. I think there's a lot that Harry address in his music that would be thrilling, if he was interested in sharing. When you think of songs like 'But Daddy I love him' or the 'Girl, So Confusing' remix - and imagine what would happen if Harry was interested in playing even near that playground - that's something I'd look forward to. I also think the most effective way to address the way people do and don't talk about his sexuality - would be a song that had an element of fuck you in it.
But I think there are multiple dangers here - and not having enough lore is only one of them. I also think there's a worry of losing what people want from you, by trying to be what people love in other people. (I think this, far more than anything, has been Katy Perry's problem. She's trying and failing to be a more relevant version of herself - but she'd be far more relevant if she'd kept doing what people love from her.
I really think the 'if he's interested in sharing' is the key point. If he has any interest in writing any music that comments on his life in a way that is intelligible to listeners - then I think there's real potential. But I think nothing could be more fatal than doing it for the lore.
To come back to Chappell Roan - I just listened to the popcast episode about touring, and read Jon Caramanica's review of Chappell Roan's show in Tennessee. In that he compares the show with the on-line discourse - and basically argues that the way forward, the way to build a career that matters - is to ignore the people who want to talk about you and focus on those who want to be part of the collective experience when you make music.
I hope that this, more than anything else, is the message that Harry takes forward. If he has anything to say, then I'm all for him saying it (although I think the response to Chappell clearly shows that people don't really want popstars to say things). But I think the most important thing for his career will be him continuing to do what he does well.
#I think there are two important determinants of this next stage of Harry's career#One is the next tour#There's every reason to be confident that people still want what Harry is offering#And the other is whether he has a song that speaks to this moment#It seems incredible if he could do it#(and I wouldn't bet against it)#but if he's more of a touring artist#than a centre of the conversation artist#It's not necessarily a bad thing#The other Every Single Album bit I was fascinated by#was there description of Tate McCrae's career#Which begins with mentioning that she's managed by Jeffery Azoff#There are certainly similarities#and the difference seems to be the lack of the big songs

Catch the Scene
Summary: Roman asked for photos he thought magical as a kid and soon found photography as a hobby. A hobby that can become a job if acting has a spell of failed auditions.
Author's note: I wish I had more energy to write more of this. The manager, I think, could be Logan, but it felt clunky to add in an introduction line, then weird to just have the name thrown into it.
My idea prompt for today: Photographer Roman, starts as wanting to capture fairytale settings to try describing later. The starts photographing pretty boys he sees and sometimes gets dates when he admits to it. Trying to go professional comes during an acting dry spell.

Roman loved fairytales and that was as true when he was a child as it was now. When he was younger and his parents controlled the camera he’d beg and beg for pictures to be taken of places or scenes he insisted were out of fairytales. Remus did the same but for bins, dumps and roadkill so the times they’d agreed to the pictures Roman wanted were often followed with far less pleasant pictures in the family albums.
Then they were given disposable cameras and Roman could seek out the different areas he believed magic happened in freely. He’d run off on family trips to explore the wilderness and try to find the best pictures. Remus usually ran in the opposite direction and came back thrilled over animal droppings and bugs, some he’d taken a picture of then squashed in a notebook to ensure he could show them off as soon as possible.
Their parents were definitely amused at how trying to treat their sons equally somehow played into both kids interests as they grew up. Roman kept his photography up, sometimes claiming he had to go to a specific location or place he’d previously photographed in order to take more photos and properly imagine the scene now happening there in his mind. He got into theatre, and volunteered to help design the backdrops the school could afford, using his photos as inspiration often.
Remus meanwhile kept looking for bugs and animal waste. He took an interest in zoology and somehow made that a career and nobody was quite sure how that happened. Their parents claimed it was because of a camera and notebook of squashed bugs but most people never believed that.
/\
Both boys befriended people, often completely different people since their interests were so removed nowadays, but once or twice the same person befriended each of them. Virgil was one of those people, even if he refused to let Roman take him exploring.
“What’s with the cameras, Princey? I thought your space was on stage or in front of them, not the tech side of things.” He asked, looking around Roman’s dorm. Virgil was on the tech team of the current production and had come over after a practise to relax for a while. “If Remus’s dorm wasn’t 3 buildings away I’d ask if he was storing his stuff here.”
“Excuse you.” Roman span from where he’d been checking his hair hadn’t been messed up, “The lenses are utterly different, mine are specialised for wide shots and broad focus. Remus for some ungodly reason thinks a narrow focus is best and couldn’t even get a decent full body photo of a person if he wanted to with them.”
“Not sure you know how camera lenses work, but chill. I was just asking.” Virgil stepped back, looking at the cameras again. “So you take pictures of people a lot?”
Roman shook his head, “They’re for landscapes where magic and romance is waiting to happen, and occasionally pretty men that need their beauty to be recorded. Please remain in that spot for a moment, the lighting is perfect. I hope you don’t mind me taking your picture since you’ve mentioned my photography equipment so much.”
“Fine, but don’t show anyone. I cannot have the pressure of matching a photo for the rest of our friendship.” Virgil grumbled, but remained mostly still as Roman found the right view.
/\
There had been no successful auditions for a while and Roman needed something to earn money from; That was the main inspiration behind his application as a photographer being sent to various publications and agencies.
“I’ll admit when I saw the initials R. Pompadour I believed it was Remus applying for the position. It’s widely known that his papers are all backed with evidence he photographed himself as well as that he’s changed focuses based on whims before now.” The manager said, leading him through to the interview room.
Roman chuckled a little, “Yes, we were both given disposable cameras as young boys and got better cameras often as we grew up. If you look through my portfolio you’ll see the types of pictures I specialised in is quite different to Remus’s however.”
“Clearly. You are comfortable including people in your photos?” They asked, picking out a few which did. As a wildlife magazine, Roman could guess they’d heard of Remus’s refusal to, in his words, ‘photograph such a dull subject matter when the interesting bits are always so covered.’
“Yes, although areas of natural beauty are my most frequent subject.” He agreed.
The manager smiled, “I believe you would be good for the role then. We do have other applicants to interview but you should be hearing within a few weeks if you are successful.”

More Modern AU stuff because I’m too jazzed from getting off work an hour ago Anywhoozle -
Thinking about their styles? Like personal styles and their like careers/lifestyles.
Sky would be all soft hoodies worn under like a bomber style jacket (Sun totally got him that, it’s brown leather with the Hyrulian shield emblem on the back, patches on the front and sleeves of like a Loftwing, a cloud, a copy his pilot wings pin, etc). Baggy pants with lots of pockets, sweatpants, yoga pants, or anything very comfy. Combat boots. Sometimes a beanie, sometimes no. Always looks super soft and comfy, very unintimidating, and squishy. (Misnomer, Skyboi will throw down if you burn through his patience fast enough).
Sky is NOT an active pilot, but he did earn his wings. Skyloft is home to the only Military school that’s solely focused on one branch, it’s their Air Force. So by graduating from Skyloft Academy, he earned his wings. He is considering going to college for a Mechanical Engineering degree. Maybe. He hasn’t decided.
Hyrule is all things that are good to move in. Loose jeans, yoga pants, good hiking boots, loose graphic tees, windbreaker type rain coat. It’s all practical things. He likes the colors red, brown, and green for his clothes. Occasionally orange, if he’s feeling spicy. All his socks are patterned and are in general very silly.
Hyrule is a landscape photographer, but currently in a non professional capacity (to himself). He’s enrolled in online courses for Photography and Photoshop Editing, so he can better himself at his craft.
Wild is that one guy who everyone knows has a lot of clothes, who wears said clothes, but is always seen in the same outfit. He’s a cryptid and loves it. Generally seen in a blue graphic tee, brown pants, and brown hiking boots. I will not go into the contents of his closet at this time, it’s too vast. No.
That said, Wild currently works as a tour guide for the local Dueling Peaks National Park. He takes tourists to the top of the Peaks safely and back down again. He’s currently deciding between a degree of sorts (undecided) or culinary school.
Twilight is (in public) generally in some combination of work clothes. A plain t shirt with either overalls or jean work pants. Everything is stained, ripped, and patched to all hell. He doesn’t care, just rolls with it. When he knows he’s going to be going somewhere with friends, he’ll clean up nice with some good, unblemished by work jeans and a nice shirt (especially if they’re going out dancing). When at home he’s in the few comfy clothes he owns, sweatpants and loose tees, a pair of overalls that Uli gave him once that are soft and patched with cutesy patterns for aesthetic purposes (he knows she gave it to him as a gag, he doesn’t care it’s soft) and Ordon wool sweater. Things like that.
Twilight is in Veterinary school and currently works for the local farm in Hateno. So he’s usually going to school and coming home in his work clothes, doing that school and work grind. It’s not sustainable how he does it, but hell if he’ll stop yet.
Wind is graphic tees with jokes on them, layering shirts on shirts, and cargo shorts. He absolutely wears socks with sandals and crocs unapologetically. If he could wear swim trunks to school, he would.
Wind is still in middle school, so nothing really affects his sense of personal style other than maybe girls.
Four is going wear whatever is most practical for working in the smithy. Other than that PJs. Not in between unless he has to be plussed to find one. It’s very rare when it happens though. I’ll be honest, I definitely have to do more research on smithing and all that.
Time, being retired, tends to wear whatever is comfy and doesn’t require him to keep it clean. He helps out around the ranch and often just wears work jeans and plain shirts. Malon has gotten him a couple of sweaters and when the boys are around, they’ll get him some silly graphic tees.
Time is a retired Ambassador. He mainly is around the Ranch and enjoys making the “trophy husband/wife” comments about himself.
Warriors and Legend both are very into their looks and I’ve only combined them here because I’m still looking into WHAT I want them in. Like Warriors is an Ambassador, he has to look semi presentable all the time and I need to figure that style out. Legend on the other hand just likes to look good all the time but it needs to be practical. He’s a travel blogger, so he needs clothes that hold up to both his standards and what he’s putting them through.
#lu modern au#linked universe#wandering thoughts#Lu chain#currently the first four are SPEAKING to me#I’ve got so much on them#the others are a bit of a struggle

The first complete monograph on Olivier Theyskens surveys his twenty-year career and documents the highly anticipated return of his eponymous label. Olivier Theyskens’s refined sensibilities earned him international acclaim as the dark prince of late 1990s couture. From his first saturnine collections, to his new vision for Rochas, to his patterns and textiles at Nina Ricci, to his years designing for Theyskens’ Theory, the designer has proved himself a master of couture, semi-couture, and prêt-à-porter. Celebrated for his fine tailoring, romantic silhouettes, and gothic palette, Theyskens transforms each house he helms. This distinctive volume charts the twenty-year development of an extraordinary aesthetic vision, rendered across countries, cultures, and the shifting sands of the fashion landscape. Newly commissioned texts connect the threads of the Belgian-born artist’s diverse practice. Drawings created for the publication accompany photography from each period of his career. At both Rochas and Nina Ricci, the designer crafted ethereal garments with unorthodox silhouettes, mixing sheer fabrics and old-world bustles with subtly subversive punk elements. Theyskens then broke ground in 2011 with his trailblazing partnership, Theyskens’ Theory. With a special focus on the designer’s return to the runway at the head of his own line, this is the definitive work on a fashion visionary who, like the girls he designs for, changes form, but walks in beauty wherever he goes.
