Allurance Headcanons

Hrnnnh I made some Klance headcanons so now it's time for me to make Allurance headcanons:

Whenever Lance gets in trouble, Allura will grab him by the back of the neck like a cat

Zero gravity date, Lance is obsessed with the way Allura's hair floats everywhere around her

Some days Allura likes to be shorter than Lance, other days taller

They constantly compare Earth culture and Altean culture, maybe also keep a scoreboard on which aspects (like music, food, etc.) is objectively better

Lance: "So what does quiznak really mean?"

Allura: "It's a...word of profanity, I guess you could say."

Lance: "Oh, okay. On Earth we just say fuck."

Going off my last one, Lance says quiznak a lot while Allura says fuck a lot

Allura uses petnames for Lance but it's like words he's never heard before. Like "beezlin" or smth, and he just goes along with it

When Lance gets his Altean marks, Allura likes to rub her thumbs over them just cause she's so in awe at Lance getting them in the first place

Honestly, I kind of hate how Lance was given altean symbols. Unlike my other posts, however, this isn't hating on him. I mean, his relationship with Allura felt so one-sided. Allura was clearly rebounding on him and the show just didn't want to acknowledge it. She was still hung up on Lotor, even imagining Lotor's face when they kissed, which is wrong. She was basically using him at that point and it actually made me feel bad for him.

But the worst part is the altean markings. Every time he looks in the mirror, he will only be reminded of the fact that Allura is dead. If he ever decided to move on and start seeing other people, they're going to ask about the markings and bringing up your dead ex is never going to make a first date go well.

He's marked by this memory of Allura and it is wrong. I feel as though my previous posts have made it seem as though I hate lance full-stop, when this isn't exactly the case. He had some really good potential and it's mostly the writers whom I dislike for making Lance's character go down hill. Unlike other character who I despise (not really in Voltron, though Haggar comes close to that point), there are moments where I genuinely like Lance.

I liked Lance in season one and two, and I appreciated him through season five. I just find myself disliking him more than I like him which is a shame.

The markings are the cherry on top of the cake. The writers really felt like screwing everyone over in season eight. Just that last shot of Lance with the markings that will always remind him of his dead ex who rebounded on him, as he's farming like a Cuban stereotype, (probably the only Cuban thing he's done in the series which is a whole other can of worms), really sets my teeth on edge.

I promise. I will try to talk about other things, maybe Voltron related, maybe other things like... KHR, Owl House, Gravity Falls, BNHA, One Piece, ect... But I'm currently hyperfixated and it will be a while before I stop. Sorry teehee

a little allurance rant.

first off, no hate to both lance and allura (and allurance shippers). I adore them both both on their own but them being together totally makes no sense! Allura denies any of lances advances, then suddenly wabam! Their together?? I would have LOVED this ship if it had any depth. Theres potentail for both Lance AND Allura being together, them caring so much for the people they love, the passion in helping people? It. Just. Makes. Sense.

But then again it just feels forced. It almost feels like the only reason allura dated lance was because she pities him, that or because he kinda reminds her of lotor. Let me explain the lotor part, they both have sharp features, sassy attitude (in a way), and i think their almost the same height?? Idk but its pretty trashy for a main ship, side ships like shunk make so much more sense that they would be together! My point is that while i have nothing against the ship, it just doesnt make sense. Its just bad.

This is only an opinion of mine and is open for debate or discussion since i havent rewatched voltron in a long time, please be reminded that i mean no harm or hate (except to the writers of voltron) towards any people shipping Allurance!

Allura from Voltron Legendary Defender!

I have a personal headcannon that Lance and Pidge would take her to the flower fields on Earth when she misses Altea

Im'a stir the pot a bit and bring up Voltron (legendary defender) again, and talk about why the last few seasons sucked ass (in my humble and completely correct opinion).

Relationships: Now, I'm not here to debate whether Klance should be cannon or not (even tho they had more going for them than Lance and Allura), I'm going to talk about why Lance and Allura fell flat. A.) She was using him as a rebound off of Lotor. B.) There wasn't enough build up for it, in the in between season when there traveling back to earth, there should have been more build up, a genuine connection, because until after Lotor, she was repulsed by the idea of dating Lance, there just, needed to be more interaction between them, where they talk shit out.

Lotor shouldn't have died: I love redemption arcs, and like, I loved Lotor, and yes, he made a great villain, but he was going kinda crazy because of quintessence exposure, just like Zarkon and sorta like Enerva (she was already a little scrambled up there.). I also liked Allura x Lotor way more than her and Lance, they just, had more going for them.

Enerva(or however u spell her name.) shouldn't have gotten a redemption arc: I wanted Lotor to have one more, yes, but season 8 just, made no sense really, like, come on, cant we just leave it with them finally back on earth? With there peaceful lives undisturbed? And then MAYBE, JUST MAYBE Lance and Allura could have gotten more screen time?

Allura shouldn't have died: I dont think I need to explain that one.

Also, I want more space wolf.

Also, also, Allura x Romelle is way better, lets go lesbians.
