I have this deep ache sometimes to help people be comfortable. Not a shallow comfort built on ignorance and self preservation, but a deeply felt safety. A desire for people to know their needs are met, a craving for people I know and don't to be secure in the knowledge that they'll be okay, whatever shape that takes.

A fitful dream of people resting with full bellies, knowing it will never be empty, clean clothes and sheets to snuggle into, a world built to love their fat, disabled bodies, a world where people don't fear interpersonal or structural violence, where they know they can face discomfort and challenges together, a rest born of security and joy and grief but the grief is held and nurtured.

I crave a world where people can rest so deeply sometimes I can almost taste it on my tongue, a juice I've never tried but my tired animal flesh remembers it's echos somewhere almost forgotten. I know I can't give this to people, not in its entirety, not alone.

but sometimes, when I see a weary face on the street my atoms shake with the desire to right the wrong that is every unfairness I see etched into their face and settled into their creaking joints. But I can't fix it. Not in its entirety. Not Alone.

anyone else see headcannons for the om! characters and think of their own for a completely different topic like seriously i was reading headcannons about how the brothers would react to MLP (by @byte-your-tongue for those curious i would recomend looking at the post it made me laugh) and i started thinking up headcannons on how they would sleep like what??

Anywayssss here some headcannons about how i think the characters would sleep (with and without mc cause i feel like some of the would change how they sleep with someone next to them)

Lucifer

w/out mc- on back stiff as a board, mans becomes a plank of wood dare i say even a brick unmoving and silent no snores no sleep talk and somehow takes up his entire bed (he's probably in his demon form) also a very light sleeper he's gotta be ready for anything and everything disaterous that could happen in the middle of the night

w/ mc- buuuuuuut when mc shows up and starts sharing his bed he starts to sleep talk like when mc first showed up in the devildom he started doing it every now and then cause of stress (i sleep talk when stressed lol) but when they started sharing a bed he started sleep talking alot more the stress probably coming from him not wanting one of his brothers (mammon, levi, asmo) to A to walk into his room and fall asleep ontop of him and mc cause they want mc cuddles to or B straight up steal mc from his grasp (he protec) oooooor lucky number C take photos of the two and use them as blackmail (mams, satan and belphie), still no snoring, 20% chance he's in his demon form especially if its winter (wings can be blanket), i also think he may switch from a brick to side sleeper everynow and then for cuddles (touch starvedddddddddd), light sleeper still but like way worse now, will wake up at the sound of a pin drop (force him to wear noise cancelling headphones everynow and then so he gets sleep 'do i have to wear these silly things dove, i'd preffer to keep you safe and the house of lamantation standing than sleep')

Mammon

w/out mc- hes sprawled out (starfish), loud snoring (can be heard across the house), also loud sleep talking (he will get flustered in his sleep and talk for everyone example 'mammon that was such a dumb idea' 'no it aint it was a genius idea' 'mammooooooon, wheres my record') sleeps with his glasses on, also kicks like alot, very deep sleeper would've slept through one of beels late night rampages when the fridge was empty many times

w/ mc- still starfish no room for mc, snoring is still loud (hope mc's got ear buds or smth) sleep talks but now flirts with himself too 'oh mammon did it hurt when you fell' 'of course it did i fell for you after all', has gotten into a better habit of taking his glasses off before sleep (feel like mc got up him for wearing them to sleep) no kicking anymore or atleast not as much mc has gotten kicked off multiple times, still a very deep sleeper but he'll somewhat wake up if mc moves to check on them (its probably just tred mumbles of something like 'ya okay treasure?' or 'you're not going anywhere treasure')

Levi

w/out mc- idk what to put here like he obviously takes up like the entirety of the bathtub he sleeps in, he probably talks to ruri-chan or his online friends in his sleep and does the poses and stuff ruri-chan does also body pillows no blankets just body pillows/hj he's a pretty normal sleeper (when he does sleep) only really waking up to any loud noises

w/ mc- still dunno but he probably wraps his tail around mc when sleeping (once again he protec) probably like the exact same as w/ out mc but without the poses, still a pretty average sleeper and still talks in his sleep ('nonononononono player two you take on the minions and i'll take on super elite demon dragon fish boss')

Satan

w/out mc- lets be real when hes does sleep its either almost exactly like lucifer (when he goes to sleep willingly) or he's sprawled out with a book on his face, snores but not as loudly as mammon or beel, probably kicks if he falls asleep angry at someone (most likely lucifer) sleeps pretty deeply normally but when pissed off he's a light sleeper almost like he's preparing to explode at the slightest sound, also if he's snuck a cat into his room he's cuddling with the cat

w/ mc- cuddles in the middle of reading a book, mc was sitting in his lap and he was reading to them when they fell asleep and a few hours later still reading the book out loud for the sleeping mc he falls asleep himself, doesn't go to sleep angry as often as before but his sleeping does lighten a little to make sure unwelcome intruders dont enter his space whilst he's with mc, will not move if he's cuddling mc (if he does move and wake them up he's apologising tellng them to go back to sleep ' 'm sorry love go back to sleep')

Asmodeus

w/out mc- kitten snores tiny little baby snores, doesn't kick unles he's having a nightmare, has a night time face mask on deep sleeper and sleeps on his back just not as stiffly as luci and satan, sleep talks on occasion but its usually just him complementing himself 'oh asmodeus you look extra fabulous today' stuff like that

w/ mc- pretty much the exact same mans wants his beauty sleep

Beelzebub

w/out mc - snores louder than mams, sleeps like a brick, human heater, midnight snacks, deeeeeeeep sleeper like an a new level not as bad as belphie but still he won't wake up unless its one of his alarms or he's hungry, if he were to sleep talk it'd probably be the recipe to his faverite food 'beat two eggs, mix the eggs in with the rest of the batter bake for 15 minutes'

w/ mc- me personally i would get him a sleep apnea machine (stops the loud snores) and install several fans for summer months, he would be very clingy too, perfect for winter not so much for summer

Belphegor

w/out mc- dead he might aswell be dead does not move or make a sound pretty boring overall and cold, no sleep talking like i said he might as well be dead

w/ mc- snuggles snuggles snuggles only time he will move is to get closer to mc for snuggles still pertty cold though like if he wakes up before mc, mc better be prepared to be woken up by a pair of cold hands / feet on their back and a very bratty smile to accompany their awakening

i feel like its way to obvious who my favorite brothers are looking at this and which brothers i struggled with lol but oh well....

i may do the dateables next, i also may expand on a few of these (the ones i didn't struggle hardcore with lol)

➳ diavolo got really interested in singing and joined a barbershop quartet. as the resident lead singer of the group, he singlehandedly grows the popularity of choral singing in the devildom to never seen before heights. he tries to get barbatos and lucifer to join, but they decline, and now he’s focused on getting luke to see how cool it is and how popular it’d make him. luke also declines, much to diavolo’s disappointment, but he doesn’t let it bring him down, performing with all of his heart at any venue that will take his group.

➳ barbatos knits. at first, it was to relieve stress and find something to keep his hands busy, but he soon developed a talent and genuine love for the craft and now is most often found with needles and a ball of yarn when he's not actively serving diavolo. he outfits the house of lamentation with scarves and hats before they visit the human world for winter and keeps up a steady supply of socks for those who visit the castle as it gets cold and drafty at night. he’s been looking at sweater patterns lately, as diavolo’s been bugging him to no end for one.

➳ simeon got in trouble in the celestial realm for taking in animals, and quickly became known ads the guy who ran an unofficial animal rehabilitation center. at first, it was a few cats and a hamster, but then it grew to dogs, a bird, and remarkably, a possum. now, simeon is also allergic to animals, so as one could imagine, he was not only constantly sniffling and sneezing, but also covered in hair and feathers. eventually, he was forced to give up all of his creatures, delegating them to loving human homes and erasing their memory of him to release back into the wild, something he did privately so no one saw his tears.

➳ solomon keeps trying really hard to make his podcast gain traction, but it never does. despite his deep-seated belief that he’s got endless wisdom and plenty of great lessons and stories, the general public just sees him as another man with too much to say of little substance. he has four listeners, three of which are him, and the fourth is levi, who listens only out of support, not out of any actual enjoyment. to spite him, thirteen starts her own podcast, and is an instant hit, gaining thousands of listeners in the first few months. (at one point, he stops so low as to beg her to let him on, but he flatly turns him down.)

➳ luke has asthma but is incredibly embarrassed, so he tried to keep it a secret. demons didn’t need to know his weakness anyway! simeon, however, ruined that by announcing it to the whole of house of lamantation when he went over there for a sleepover, so now the brothers send him videos of wheezing chihuahuas at least weekly. he also has a penchant of losing his inhaler, so simeon makes sure to have one kept at the school, castle, and the hol just in case, something that only leads to more teasing.

UN VIAGGIO NELL'ORRORE

Tranquilli, non è il vostro viaggio ma il mio.

Io sono nato all'inizio degli anni '70, quindi mi sono fatto prima tutta la cinematografia horror di Dario Argento&co e poi tutti gli slasher americani con le icone classiche quali Jason, Freddy, Leatherface etc.

Ma c'è un problema...

Io non ho mai visto nessuno di quei film fino al 1990.

Vedete, io vivevo in una famiglia molto particolare™ dove la televisione era vista come il male assoluto, ragion per cui fino ai 14 anni io sono stato costretto ad andare a letto alle nove di sera e durante il giorno potevo guardare solo un'ora di televisione (stranamente non era conteggiato il tempo davanti al Commodore 64 e indovinate un po' chi era il mio migliore amico).

In quell'ora a disposizione io cercavo, ovviamente, di farci stare i miei cartoni animati preferiti ma non mi era possibile guardare film, tantomeno di sera.

Me li facevo raccontare.

Sì perché, evidentemente, il concetto di film non adatto ai bambini si applicava solo a me mentre tutti i miei amici, invece, rimanevano alzati fino a tardi a guardare film pazzeschi insieme ai loro genitori e il giorno dopo me li raccontavano.

A difesa dei miei genitori posso dire che in effetti ero un bambino particolarmente impressionabile ed è forse a causa dei sogni che facevo alle elementari che scelsero di non espormi a quello che in linguaggio tecnico viene definito nightmare fuel.

Non che ne avessi bisogno, intendiamoci.

Per esempio, in terza o in quarta elementare fui perseguitato da quello che io avevo soprannominato Il Burattinaio Cadavere, che si manifestava nel seguente modo: prima io mi trovavo in un qualsiasi luogo a me conosciuto (casa, scuola, parco giochi etc) poi improvvisamente tutto diventava scuro e dei fili tipo ragnatele scendevano dal cielo per toccare le decine di cadaveri che improvvisamente erano apparsi accasciati a terra, i quali si rianimavano come burattini e mi venivano barcollando incontro. Ovviamente mi svegliavo urlando come un ossesso.

E che dire della Lamante, una donna che ogni notte mi faceva vedere un buco sul braccio e mi sussurrava 'Se mi aspetti poi ti faccio vedere cosa mi hanno fatto'. E dopo tornava con le braccia amputate e due lame lunghissime innestate cercando di trafiggermi.

E poi il Buio, la Porta, il Verme Oculare, lo Sghignazzatore Maledetto...

(Beh, forse ero un qualcosa di diverso da 'impressionabile' ma vabbe'...)

Comunque, il primo film horror che vidi a casa di un amico fu Halloween di John Carpenter e al di là dell'angoscia di vedere REALMENTE un qualcosa horror, mi piacque parecchio e lì cominciò la mia collezione di problemi.

Come qualsiasi manuale di pedagogia insegna fin dai primi capitoli, la lunga privazione di un qualcosa di proibito che ero l'unico a non possedere mi spinse a fare binge watching di ogni film horror, di ogni libro di Stephen King, Clive Barker, Lovecraft e persino a scegliere come gioco di ruolo preferito Call of Cthulhu invece del più innocuo Dungeons&Dragons.

Andai fuori di testa.

Ogni notte un Geteit Chemosit che indossava la faccia strappata di mia madre cercava di entrare in camera mia e di giorno giravo sempre armato perché non si sa mai.

Mandai quasi in ospedale la mia povera mamma che ebbe la pessima idea di entrare in camera mia perché mi lamentavo nel sonno (non avevo capito che la faccia era attaccata alla persona giusta) e a distanza di anni ancora ridiamo con i miei amici di quando in campeggio tenni sollevato per il collo lo sventurato che fece un verso sospetto quando, uscendo per pisciare ancora mezzo addormentato, calpestai per sbaglio il suo sacco a pelo.

Per me valeva il motto 'L'uomo che dorme con un machete sotto al cuscino è un pazzo tutte le notti tranne una' e infatti la routine serale dei miei amici era aspettare che mi addormentassi e poi nascondere tutte le mie armi (grazie Francesca perché quella notte particolare avrei senza dubbio ucciso tutti con la mia Katana).

La notte, insomma, non mi è stata mai amica perché forte in me era la convinzione, per non dire la certezza, che il sonno rendesse possibile la venuta di orrori innominabili che si arrampicavano lungo la parte sbagliata della luce.

Verso i diciannove anni facemmo una festa per la fine della Maturità in un'enorme casa di campagna di non mi ricordo chi e dopo aver bevuto l'impossibile ognuno si appropriò di una stanza a casa, chi per trombare (non io) chi per collassare (io).

Solo che non collassai.

Come in un racconto breve di Stephen King mi misi a sedere su un vecchio letto col materasso di lana e tenendo i piedi nudi su un pavimento di cotto dalle piastrelle tutte storte (assurdo come certi particolari rimangano impressi) cominciai a fissare la porta chiusa.

Faceva caldo ma l'avevo chiusa.

Improvvisamente sento una sensazione strana sulla schiena, come di brividi, e i capelli mi si rizzano sulla nuca.

Un pensiero mi si insinua nelle tempie come un ago nel polistirolo...

'Sta arrivando'.

E poi abbasso lo sguardo e vedo che sto tenendo in mano un lungo coltello da macellaio, che evidentemente non ricordavo di aver preso giù in cucina.

Non ricordavo di averlo preso o forse in quel momento avevo capito qualcosa?

Sta arrivando

STA ARRIVANDO

Mi alzo e stringo più forte il coltello

STA ARRIV...

Ma io mi muovo per primo e scatto verso la porta con un fendente dal basso verso l'alto che avrebbe aperto in due la pancia dell'essere non appena avesse spalancato la porta.

TUNC!

Guardo la lama affondata a metà nel pannello della porta chiusa, assolutamente chiusa ma così chiusa che pareva l'emblema della possibilità che io quella sera trombassi.

Allora scendo in cucina, rimetto il coltello nel cassetto e tra i gorgoglii dei conati di vomito di chi aveva ecceduto e l'assoluto silenzio di chi non stava minimamente trombando, mi sdraio sul letto e mi addormento di un sonno senza sogni.

La parte più nobile e metafisica di me vuole pensare che con quell'ultimo fendente dato al vuoto in realtà uccisi definitivamente l'oscurità in me ma in realtà credo di aver semplicemente realizzato che chiunque fosse entrato in quel particolare momento si sarebbe visto rovesciare gli intestini sul pavimento e questo non rientrava tra le cose che avrei voluto fare da grande.

Plot located next to the center of the area - the Puerto Lamante market. There is a large hall with a bar counter, tables and chairs, a separate room for stand-up, a terrace with a chess table and chairs, and a toilet. There is a staircase leading to the second floor from outside the house, but there is nothing there except an open terrace. There is also a backyard, terrace with fireplace.
