Somewhere around that time "Mannequin Baby" was formed out of my recalling the Mannequins (companions) I would ride down with in the freight elevator at work. Primarily a Dennis composition, I sing with some added "Customer assistance to Sporting Goods", "Marion to the lower checkout" , "Lingerie line 2 O" overheard daily voicings over the intercom, thrown in to boot.
