serial experiments lain in my opinion has a unique aesthetic that i appreciate and honestly one good thing that could've come out of this popularity boom is more people exploring it, but mostly people just post wires etc., and there's this tendency in lain fanart for more conventionally cyberpunk visuals, which is not bad in itself but i feel like there are missed opportunities you know
