HE’S TAKING HIS TIME. It’s in his nature to be cautious even when he appears to be anything but , and it’s his responsibility to ensure that any place or dwelling his pack inhabits , for any amount of time , is secure. So yes , he takes his time , inspects every inch of the estate they have been placed upon for the time being. Tom’s idea , a way to acclimate , to blend into this - group of misfits and bloodhounds he called an army. They hadn’t needed it. Fenrir could have taken his wolves anywhere in the country , anywhere in the world , but he had been promised blood. 

All he had to do was play nice with the hosts. 

The gardens were expansive in the same way the manor was expansive , so much so that practicality had been long lost and left to hubris. Hubris , Fenrir could understand. The need for it to manifest like this however ? It was not a concept he planned to even attempt to grasp. It is this thought that follows him through the hedges , a maze of magical misdirections that Cygnus had warned him of. The man had been rather generic with his guidelines , as generic as a generic man can be really. As in , he had given none. Maybe he knew Fenrir didn’t need them. Or maybe he knew Fenrir wouldn’t care. 

Either way , as he at last comes across the youngest of Cygnus’s children , so famed to him that Fenrir had begun to believe she did not exist at all —and certainly not upon the same branch as Bellatrix— , he found that he had no etiquette in place for first impressions. Those , apparently , were important to their society. Ah , he never cared much for their society.

Evan seemed a little taken aback by her words, his cheeks coloring a bit. “I think just your name would do,” he said, though a bit shyly as he drew closer. “And sadly, I don’t think you are the one I’m serving..”

Standing off a little to the side, silently watching the group of Death eaters mingling about with one another, assessing and picking through the crowd to make a choice about where to start. Antonin might not be classified as a great conversationalist since he never spoke much, and some seemed to put him in the same category as Bellatrix and Walden Macnair, making them a bit uncomfortable, and he enjoyed that people kept their distance from him, but in times like these, there was a need or a bit of conversation and socializing or he would be too much of the odd one out and he would miss out on a lot. So, where to begin? What he really needed was a drink and headed for the drinks to pour some of the pricey fire whiskey, the good kind.

However, when he reached the table he didn’t even have to pour it himself, it was served to him by none other than the hostess herself. He didn’t let the surprise show on his face and when she held it out for him he nodded in gratitude and then there was a touch. A lingering of fingers, a small brush and it was enough of a surprise that he actually lifted his eyes from the drink and looked at her. A silent question in his eyes as he pulled his hand and his drink back so he could take a sip. He trusted Narcissa far more than he trusted her sister, there would be no poison in this one. “How are you doing this evening Mrs. Malfoy?” he was a little bit curious and he wanted to poke a tiny bit at it, using her lastname rather than just calling her Narcissa.

There were roses and bubbles that looked closely like hearts floating everywhere around the Great Hall. As much as Regulus loved a good love story (not really), he did appreciate the effort the school made for all the “in love” couples, even if he did want to gag slightly. But who was he to deny his fellow students this fun day, especially with how much more fun tomorrow would be after all the love had died down. It was humorous, but to each their own. Not to say Regulus didn’t have his fair share of witches (and the occasional wizard or two) that tried to woo him over for today. A select snog here and there with a beauty was one thing, but today, his attention was for one person, and one person only.

Why don’t you go see where Draco is, hm?”  she suggested, turning back to her sister with an easy smile as the little pink haired girl scampered off. 

“I swear, it’s easier to get her to behave here than anywhere else, and I just don’t understand it. How are you, Cissy? Any nasty tantrums this week, or is the little dragon back to being a perfect angel?”

genuine curiosity colors his tone , and it feels foreign on his tongue. few could entice such concern from him , for few had the effect upon him she does. surprising , he knows. everyone assumed he’d simply wanted a newer model , that he’d only finally agreed to settle down because narcissa black was a sight for the sorest eyes and he was accustomed to the finest things. and while , in part , that may be true . . . okay , it’s entirely true , but abraxas’s heart is attached to his lust , and that will never change. she happens to stimulate both. 

her father isn’t happy , but why would he be ? the point is that there is nothing he can do about it. the ceremony is past , and the bond is secured , and as he strips himself of his coat in the center of their honeymoon suite , he knows he can relax now. it is only the two of them and no further tongues to combat. at least , no more than one another’s. 

❛ did you have a plan for this as well ? how we are to spend our first evening together ? ❜ he has ideas. he’s had ideas since first laying eyes upon her a year ago , when she’d bloomed into the woman who stood before him now. he holds his breath , eyeing the curve of her frame as he loosens his tie. ❛ or were you hoping to find inspiration once we arrived ? ❜

Help. I’ve no idea what to wear to the Malfoy thing. I threatened to steal robes from Lucius and he has offered to buy me something for the occasion, but I worry if I give him the go ahead I’ll find myself swathed in peacock feathers and gold fasteners.

   Oh? I haven’t had much contact with any of them, and the three sort of scare me. I’d marry Narcissa because she seems like the nicest out of them, but it’s still weird since we’ve never talked. Uhm, be adopted by Andromeda and adopt Bellatrix. Just random picking, they truly scare me.
