I have three businesses and a 17-month-old. Some days, I don’t know how I do it, and then it’s 8pm and I sit down for the first time all day and I can’t even remember what I’ve done because I’ve done so much. I understand what it feels like to run a business and juggle a family. It’s hard. But hard doesn’t mean impossible. My tips… 1️⃣ Be structured with your time. You HAVE to be organised. Meal prep. Use a calendar. Create lists. Time management is key. 2️⃣ Have a strategy. You might be running a business but are you running it with a strategy? It seems counterintuitive because when you’re juggling a lot and you have a lot to do, it makes sense to work more, do more, push more. But it’s better to do the opposite. Take a break. Giving back to ocean conservation

Paying homage to the other natural wonder we love here at SIS, the ocean. Selected for our February Birthstone babes are all the Amethyst pieces that carry the name of Reefs of the World and a donation back to ocean conservation through the Australian Marine Conservation Society. This is Sulu named after the sea between Borneo and the Philippines, it forms a near perfect circle like these stones. Sulu meaning "sea world".  Amazing for diving. The Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park, in the Sulu Sea, is a world heritage site.

Figured out what I’m doing to do with my THREE, yes three, days off this week: vision planning for 2020. . Admittedly, I’m not good at this for my business: Long term planning. I’m great at strategy, especially for other businesses but I’m not great at setting quantitative goals for my business. Or even just taking the time to intentionally plan the upcoming months. I somewhat did this when I rebranded under Lady Tall Hair, merging my creative strategy studio + blog, but that was more of a defensive play than an offensive one. . Today, I’m using 100s of post-it’s to plan what 2020 looks like for me and Lady Tall Hair. I started with writing out what I want 2020 to feel like.
