Una Línea de Carbón

Bajo la consigna de explorar los formatos expositivos dentro del espacio, los últimos tres sábados del pasado mes de abril se construyó Una Línea de Carbón, proyecto llevado a cabo en colaboración con Erick Vázquez en La Cresta.

Rompiendo con la ya muy ensayada mecánica de la exposición, en la que el espectador se hunde dentro del espacio para repasar con la mirada lo que este tiene para ofrecer, se propone este proyecto basado en la anatomía humana, donde el visitante no sólo observa, sino que dibuja y traza a partir de la observación misma. Desde esta dinámica aparentemente sencilla, que es la de reproducir sobre el papel una cantidad indefinida de bocetos tomando como referencia las poses corporales de la persona que se encuentra modelando al centro del espacio, se generan una serie de cuestionamientos que le brindan peso a la consigna base del proyecto.

La amplia e indefinida línea que plantea este proyecto es una de las principales fuentes de cuestionamiento, que comienza a partir de la formulación de conexiones básicas entre el lugar y lo que acontece dentro de este. Si La Cresta luce, de cierta forma, como otro espacio expositivo, el entrar y ver los bocetos realizados dentro de estas sesiones expuestos sobre la pared nos conduciría a definir al evento como una exposición. Esto a la vez nos lleva a preguntarnos dónde empieza y dónde termina dicha exposición, cuestionar incluso si realmente se trata de una exposición, brincando así a todo tipo de posibilidades. Ahora bien, si lo definimos como una acción, ello nos lleva a otra serie de preguntas, como si la acción comienza y termina a la par con el juego de poses de parte de la modelo al centro, o si se encuentra enfrascada sólo en los movimientos corporales de los espectadores/participantes al realizar los trazos de carbón sobre el papel. Si se trata, por otro lado, de una pieza, ¿Qué tantos elementos engloba la pieza?  Si concluimos que “la pieza” va más allá de lo que se muestra colgado al muro entonces se extiende esta retórica hasta llegar a considerar al cuerpo como “pieza”, que, si de cuerpos hablamos, podríamos simplemente quedarnos con la idea de presenciar cuerpos retratando cuerpos.

Esta aparente falta de definición hacia lo que este acontecimiento de tres días se refiere es lo que le brinda a Una Línea de Carbón un peso considerable adquirido a lo largo de lo que es definido no más que como “sesiones de dibujo.” Lograr una ruptura de los formatos lineales pre establecidos del espacio expositivo resulta una tarea ambiciosa. Si bien una serie de tardes de dibujo no son la cumbre de esta búsqueda de disolver los ya mencionados formatos expositivos, está de más decir que marcan una pauta importante como resistencia hacia el deber ser de la esfera del arte; dicho esto, queda claro entonces que, a través de esta especie de formato de investigación, La Cresta nos ofrece una apertura hacia el abanico de posibilidades alcanzables y aún por explorar.
