insane that people hate mitzi may and completely misunderstand her entire character but will reduce everyone else in the show to ‘my poor meow meow’ who ‘has mental health issues’ and ‘is being taken advantage of by mitzi or some other figure so they can’t be held responsible for their actions’ … people really see a grieving woman struggling and will just villainize her huh!

Ever felt like you have banger AU ideas or crossovers for fandoms but the moment you try to draw, write or explain it, it starts fizzing down?

Either due to fearing only makes sense to you, it’s hard to explain/express or you just don’t have the time? So then you just stop and it becomes like an afterthought.

It happens to me way too much, and I don’t have to time now to work on it. So here is a list of every idea I’ve ever had for a fandom that hasn’t been put into place. I really hope to work on these eventually. Spoiler, ideas are very out there.

Warning: the ideas with Red mean there are TW.

Wild Sekai - Wild Kratts x Project Sekai crossover where the bros suddenly get transported to that one grassy sekai with the Sekai Tree. This is due to a malfunction from the time trampoline (an excuse I use too much to transport the bros to a new dimension) and they meet Hatsune Miku. It was supposed to be a fanfic series where the bros would travel into the units’ sekais briefly, meet the Sekailoids but never actually meet the units themselves. It would start from Leo/need to Nightcord - The one I actually tried to write shit and got some of it down. However, they haven’t even met Miku yet in the story so far. I just really wanted to think of what the bros reactions would be in the different sekai, especially at WxS and 25ji.

WK “Normal”/Work AU - (TW: dark themes, coma, simulation, derealisation + depersonalisation, psychological stress). This is the newest one I literally thought of 2 days ago. I actually did make small doodles of this. It’s in a universe where the bros have like normal 9-5 jobs (that somehow switch different weeks). The only thing is that they’re constantly activated in their Creature Powersuits, which changes automatically to a different creature power every new day. The bros have no choice in what their activated as and are unable to deactivate. However, they see it as “normal” and believe it’s just a part of their very “normal” life. The bros also have a personality change. However in reality, they are living in a simulation. What’s actually happening is that their conscious is trapped in a simulation in order to keep them alive due to them being in a coma-like state from a very bad creature powersuit malfunction. And Aviva, Koki and Jimmy are monitoring them in real time as they work tirelessly to try and avert it. The malfunction is either due to Zach tampering with it during the later testing phases and fucking up big time or during the early phase when the safety protocol programming fails big time. Either way, Aviva is especially blaming herself big time and working herself to death to save them. Let me know if you wanna know more about this. ^^

WK VBS, WK WxS and WK L/N - you can see the recurring theme of my ideas mainly being crossovers. I can’t help it personally. Literally just the Tortuga crew in place of PJSK units. For VBS: Aviva as Kohane, Koki as An, Chris as Akito and Martin as Toya. For WxS: Martin as Tsukasa, Aviva as Emu, Koki as Nene and Chris as Rui. For L/N, Koki as Ichika, Martin as Saki, Aviva as Honami and Chris as Shiho (l/n is the one I’m most undecided on). And Jimmy is all the Sekailoids. Yes. All of them. And there are no current ones for MMJ or 25ji because I really have no idea who would fit best.

Lacka-Kratts - (TW: Gun violence and alcohol) literally just Lackadaisy x WK crossover. Basically, Martin and Chris somehow get swapped places with Rocky and Freckle. Aviva and the tortuga crew are shocked and trying to stay sane with Rocky’s antics. Meanwhile, the bros in 1927 - also in cat form - are with Ivy during what was supposed to be a bootlegging run and are trying not to get shot by the marigolds. (Basically, the pilot plot but replace Rocky and Freckle with the very confused bros who are too nervous to aim a gun at the enemies.)

WK Gas Station/Urban/idk they have clothes- Yeah I really don’t have a better name, it’s the story that counts. Oopsie, another creature powersuit malfunction. Except this one is a 100x less horrible as the bros are just stuck in the suits. No really bad shit. However, there is still bad shit as the tortuga is being hunted down by the CIA. Or whatever government organisation there is, idk my governments. Anyways, they are being hunted down for all the wrong reasons and have been wrongfully accused by the villain. The bros are in a forest near a gas station, somehow have no communication, and basically are trying to survive and get help from people to find the Tortuga (as the Tortuga crew are on the run). However, these people don’t recognise the Wild Kratts or Creature Powersuits, and are scared as the bros can’t describe. Chris is in a coyote powersuit, Martin is in the raccoon suit. Also, they find clothes and wear it. This AU literally sparked because I wanted them to have fashion while activated in the power suits.

Poke-Kratts - (yes, I don’t have better names atm) POKÉMON X WK!!! TORTUGA CREW (+villains later on) GET SENT TO THE POKÉMON WORLD. THEY GET POKEMON. YAY!!!

Pokémon but there are no trainers and Pokémon work jobs - (don’t have a title for this) Also, first idea with no WK. It is what the title is. Pokémon, act like people. This is way more personal to me as it focuses on my mons from my Pokémon Sword play through. Mainly my Lucario named Rei and my Cinderace named Dasher (but in this AU, he is Damien). Rei is like an IT guy, Damien is a professional soccer player. And they are gays roommates.

Lackadaisy x Showtime - I actually did draw this one a while back. Remember when Rui made a MOTHERFUCKING TIME MACHINE in the Petit Sekai episode? Well, he made an oopsie and the machine accidentally sent WxS back in time to 1927s St Louis. And they are cats for some reason

I think it's a shame Lackadaisy never blew up the way TADC did, but on the other hand it has perfectly respectable views for its pilot and a clearly engaged fanbase given how they've funded a whole season.

And more than that, Tracy is clearly doing this for the art not the fame. She posted multiple extra comics and tutorials on her website, and her success is a result of the goodwill & respect she's built up over time.

I think it's pretty clear, disputes between individual staffers aside, why she'd refund HB's money - she has no desire to see her passion project get pulled into the same mud puddle Viv is mired in, especially because Tracy has more professionalism in her little finger than Viv does in her whole body.

I have confidence LD could fundraise as many seasons as it needs to tell the whole story (but they also have the sense to animate the story in chunks so they don't promise more than what they can deliver) and that Tracy would never quit on her story partway through, and do all that without drama, or hiring amateur animators straight out of college to exploit them. They have a solid squad and an even more solid community. It really struck me in GlitchX how idk, normal? Tracy seemed - a bit shy, but just interested in telling her story with people equally passionate about working on it, too. The way she engages with LD tells me she puts the art first, and doesn't care about her name being the most notable thing about the work. No, I agree completely. It's the story of the tortoise and the hare, except in this case the hare's a transphobic egomaniac and the tortoise has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the 1920s.

The Raifu’s of team Defy

Reacting to there S/O heroically sacrificing themselves for the sake of completing the mission

(GFL) AK-12, AN-94, AK-15, and RPK-16 react to their S/O sacrificing themselves

Thanks to rewatching the OG Mobile Suit Gundam there's a song stuck in my head as I write this.YES MY SWEET, YES MY SWEETEEEST, I WANNA GET BACK WHERE YOU WEEEEREEEE

12 remained still as she detected the life signs from S/O had stopped transmitting to her.

Her glowing pink eyes did not falter, her mask obscuring her mouth. On the outside, it looked like she didn't even react.

She turned to the rest of Task Force DEFY and simply gave a single order.

(AK-12) "S/O bought us time. We're leaving."

The moment the squad escapes the area, she takes off her mask as she closes her eyes.

Her emotional modules turn on once again, but her mouth remains completely neutral, her usual lackadaisy smile completely absent.

She says nothing the entire trip back to base. When she reports to the commander, she simply says:

(AK-12) "I hope the mission info S/O retrieved was worth it, Commander."

Not even bothering to salute, she leaves for DEFY's dorm.

If asked about S/O, 12 simply says they got unlucky in a monotone voice. However, she is usually seen visiting the memorial hall where S/O's name is written alone, her eyes opened.

94 closes her eyes when she could no longer detect S/O's life signature.

She believes it was her fault not being able to save them, seeing as she was the inferior model.

After the mission was reported a success, she looked even colder than usual, simply staring at the floor of the Black Hawk, saying absolutely nothing, even to AK-12.

When she is alone, she does not cry, but she quietly stares at S/O's quarters, her hand on the door.

(AN-94) "...If only I could have been designed better..."

She says absolutely nothing about S/O after their funeral. If anyone attempts to speak to her about them, she will excuse herself or not respond at all.

She seldom shows any interest in anything anymore, her only priority to follow the orders of AK-12 and ensure Task Force DEFY's success.

Just as her S/O would have done.

15 exhales through her nose and blankly states:

(AK-15) "...Zero readings from S/O. They're gone."

She never had a gentle expression, but somehow it grows impossibly colder and more rigid.

(AK-15) "Idiot..."

With no further comment, she departs with DEFY and enters sleep mode the moment they return.

She did not even attend their funeral, stating that it was a waste of time.

15 had not shown that much emotion until meeting S/O, where she was at least a little interested in learning more about humans and the world itself.

Now, she had zero reason in doing so. All of it was a waste of time after all, with human lives being so fragile.

But if one were to look near her bed, she still keeps the picture of her and S/O together close by.

16's expression became somber the moment she saw S/O's vitals flatline.

(RPK-16) "...Like a moth to a flame after all. Pity."

When 16 returns to base, she looks at the arctic skies, silently contemplating to herself.

(RPK-16) "Humans are interesting creatures, aren't they? They simply think everything will be fine once they give up everything for the good of the others. Yet they don't seem to think about what happens to said others."

She doesn't change all that much after S/O's death. After all, human lives were so much more fragile than a T-Doll's.

Yet it in a way, it was tragically beautiful. They have such a short life, and try to do everything they can in that timeframe.

That fact only convinces her that she should try to speak to every human she can.

But she will never forget the one human that captured her heart the most.

And just like a human would, she would continue to live and remember those that have fallen.

Rocky: *cutely steals the Shinonome’s pancakes*

So Ena and Akito are at a cafe, arguing (as per usual) when suddenly, Rocky pops out of nowhere, grabs Ena’s pancakes and happily munches on them. Both Akito and Ena are confused and bewildered.

This is a fun crossover I did! My mind has been fixating on Lackadaisy x Project Sekai stuff for weeks now, I must draw! I even have a google document of all sorts of Lackadaisy x PJSK or Vocaloid ideas. Next might be Rocky with Mizuki and Rui, I imagine that he’d definitely get along well with the chaotic duo.

The Indie Animation Boom Continues in 2022 [part 3]

Additionally, Final Frontier, a sci-fi/dark satire webtoon may be turned into animation if there is enough support. While I would include Fruition of the Damned, the creator of that series, JrRMack, strongly supports NFTs, a morally corrupt cryptocurrency scheme which is harmful to the environment and the livelihood of artists. So, I cannot, in good conscience, support him or his series. The same applies to Roads to Rome, which is also funded by an NFT. Compare this to Whitman, who has said publicly that “NFTs are garbage as is, and you wont find my work involved in them,” as did the official account of Wild Card and the account of Faeduck Studios, which is producing Howdy Cloudboy.

[2] Century Park is said to include Indigenous characters. Christopher Wade noted his film, in development, The Will of Monsters. Jenn noted their indie animation studio, Sunflower Club, and their animatic pilot for The Figments. It is not known the progress of Dark Harvest, with the official account saying that the episode is 45% done, and the show’s creator calls himself an “expert procrastinator.”

The same can be said about Aisle99 which has an inactive YouTube channel, but semi-active Twitter, or CriTORA. The social media accounts for animated series like Harri’s World, Dirt: The Series, Romancing Roslyn Cherry, Phantom Hollow, Deranged, Zoolaplex, Cabiria Intermezzo, Here We Are, and Demonic Crepes (created by Bubblegum Cartoons, and has a pilot in 2019) are inactive.

While there is a listing of those working on the show Mayhem by Magpie V. Raven’s website, she is stepping back to pursue her own projects, like the Kina’s Adventure series while Sir Mayhem / Paul may continue the series after the animated film Mayhem Zombie Oblivion premieres. Raven is also an artist for Lackadaisy, Mystery Skulls, Ollie & Scoops, and more.

The pilot episode of Stars Align has been written, and it will “premiere when completed on YouTube,” with characters redrawn, people cast for roles, in a series with The Owl House and Infinity Train vibes. It is possible that Sara Eissa’s Astur’s Rebellion might be pitched somewhere again, as that animation is now under a company named Toon Cave, according to the updated website.

[4] The author of the webcomic based on the series, Jocelyn Samara DiDomenick, said that there was a number of reasons for the series ending, but said that “the very short answer…is that things just kinda weren’t working out” and called it “a bummer,” but is trying to look at the positive here.

[5] Cirque Du Monstro (CDM) is an additional series which fell apart, but for different reasons than Rain. The CDM Twitter account was deleted. The YouTube channel is empty. The creator, Krisis, seems to have scammed those who wanted to work with them, and sexually assaulted (and harassed) people, according to animators and storyboarders. For information on the latter, see Céline Heijnen’s thread beginning here, Bakakoujin’s tweet (and tweet thread), Antonia Pinnola’s Facebook post, and other tweets. Even a month before the tweets in December 2021, various animators promoted the show. According to a private tweet of Krisis‘s account, M0nsterParent, on December 8, 2021, the “CDM crew has been officially disbanded” and the animation is no longer being made. This is unfortunate because I felt that the project had some promise. Animators like Shou Tuzi (creating Tallyho!) stepped away from any affiliation with the show or the company producing it, 3M Productions, as did voice actor Mark Allen Jr.
