Cynicism for heavy scorpio/8th housers

1. Cynicism defined= Cynicism is an attitude characterized by a general distrust of the motives of "others". A cynic may have a general lack of faith or hope in people motivated by ambition, desire, greed, gratification, materialism, goals, and opinions that a cynic perceives as vain, unobtainable, or ultimately meaningless.

Rumor has it he was dropped as a baby.

Like a pair of meaty-fisted toddlers, his coked out parents allegedly lost their grasp and sent him tumbling onto the kitchen floor one night. No concussion, no foul. To Kerem, however, this is the incident which sparked it all; the first crack in his twisted, supremely distressing childhood.

His mother lost custody somewhere around his sixth birthday, give or take a month. Unsurprising to just about everyone after he'd been left to fend for himself during one of her benders and showed up to school in crumpled, unwashed clothes multiple times. Apparently his father ran out two years in, found himself some young liquor store cashier and never looked back. Kerem barely remembers either of them save for the occasional scent of Marlboros and gasoline.

Foster care was precisely what a person might imagine: a hellscape on its best day. He never made any of the placement families' lives easy, but endured for a little over a decade before skipping out on his latest one. Nobody searched for him. Shocker. What was one more kid out of the system anyway? At night he imagined their relief to be palpable, at last spared his misbehavior and profane mouth.

The streets weren't home for long when a low level gang absorbed him into the fold. He began dealing at first, more sleight of hand shit in public really, but once their leader recognized his negotiating talent Kerem moved straight into weapons procurement. Suddenly he shone like the goddamn sun, capable of producing the items they required to defend territory and ensuring the sort of price that was practically a steal–– sometimes it even was.

As his prowess grew, so did the business. Eventually Chicago became too small, the midwest too familiar, and he targeted New York for his next venture. Black market dealing was more difficult to break into there and the complexity increased tenfold, yet dominating it became the precise sort of challenge he relished in. And so he did.

Protection in the underbelly is scarce, even for arms dealers, so Kerem thought topping off by aligning himself with The Crimsons might provide ample cover. Very quid pro quo and all, but that's what most of their lifestyle is anyway, right? At least this way his customer base is consistent, evergreen, and providing an exceptional income stream. Sue him for being an entrepreneur.

It helps when you love what you do and Kerem loves guns. There isn't a single item passing through his channels that he hasn't taken apart and put back together himself at least once. In his opinion, to truly know his craft, he must understand the focal point down to a near atomic level. Easier to prevent scams this way, considering it's sort of hard to fuck a guy over when he knows the precise weight and manufacturing of said merchandise.

He's also... insane. Antagonistic is probably the best word for him, but he'll accept any and all of the above. Friends are in short supply even within The Crimsons and honestly, Kerem prefers it that way. Most people are a bore, or needy, and he simply lacks the proper neurons to form whatever semblance of empathy they crave from him. If they're ever looking for a literal shot in the dark, they know who to call though.

People really don't talk about that transition from focusing on self and independence and searching for community/ relationships. I feel like everyone is so "focus on you" oriented they forget humans are naturally social. We naturally seek out others like us. And tend to thrive in community not self.

I believe the major shift to individuality is the reason why so many people feel incomplete. I'm not saying you need a romantic relationship to be complete (and if you feel like you do, by all means seek that relationship out) or you need to be going out every week, I'm saying you can't just interact with people at the absolute lowest level of (in person, online does not give the same healthy bouts dopamine) social interaction and think you gonna have health relationships. Dopamine seeking is so common now that yeah looking at your phone is easier than talking with a stranger because that initial anxiety (everyone has anxiety, not everyone is impacted by it to harmful levels) because you can't get "embarrassed" that way.

No one talks about how soul searching and sitting with yourself can easily become isolation and lack of tolerance for different people. People don't talk about how spending so much time with yourself pushes you to believe others are not as important as you (we are all a side character in someone's story). How it increases the negative aspects of ego to the point individuality is the only thing you strive for.

The internet and social media with all its glory is something that has been slowly poisoning Millennials, gen Z and gen Alpha. Its something that has been teaching us that we can get a quicker dopamine response from likes, flashing colors and short videos. I can remember when most media was long form, when you could long into Tumblr and see multiple page essays. When people would go to the movies and actually watch it instead of posting pictures of themselves. When kids would play outside and I would see parents, teens and even random strangers helping them out. I don't see that as much.

Of course someone could chalk it up to "my algorithm" but honestly that's only an issue of the internet. People don't interact with each other nearly as much as they did pre 2018. I believe the pandemic emotionally stunned a majority of the human population. I would've never seen groups of teens robbing people pre pandemic. If they didn't have parents to correct them, they had teachers, imams, pastors, aunts, uncles, the old lady down the block... Something.

I would've never seen the straight up ableism and anti Blackness that's everywhere now. I wouldn't see people telling someone asking for help is "doing too much'.

Do people honestly believe hyper independence is the next step forward? That we step on each other instead of helping? We isolate the elderly because " they drove up the gas prices" and children because "The world is shit and I don't want any, anyways so why be nice?"

If you wanna be astrology in to it, half the chart is simply about socialization. Thats the signs Libra-Pisces, the 7th-12th house. Yet if you look through most astrology interpretations since the middle of te pandemic, they've gone from the "social" to "me" signs. We are all part of society, you can't seperate yourself out then complain about the rest. Libra is about your relationships with other, regardless if it's the romantic ones or not, you can't change that fundamental part of it. Scorpio is about the shared resources of people, not just what an individual gets out of something. Sagittarius are teachers and pillars of the community, not just wanderlust sages with no regard of their impact on others. Capricorns are the work parts of a society, not the lone CEO or rich aunt who spends the holidays alone. Aquarius is the stored knowledge of a community, not the most outlandish, self centered individuality most push. And Pisces shouldn't even surprise anyone with it being the care for society and the collective consciousness/unconscious of us all, not the mystic lost in their mind scared to interact with others.

Those signs have always been about "the people (s)", not the individual. I can say this with most of my planets being in the 7-12th and Libra-Pisces axis, people ain't just suffering because late stage capitalism. We suffering because we forgot that we don't live by ourselves, can't function by ourselves, or thrive by ourselves. Late stage capitalism wouldn't have gotten to this point if we actually stood by each other. Especially because capitalism is a man made concept, we have always been selling and trading items, it's nothing new in fact as soon as we started living in towns instead of being hunter gathers, the first cases of capitalism occurred. Now do we modern humans call it that, but does that mean it's a new concept no. Humanity loves to recycle old ideas until they can't be recycled anymore. All of the -isms we have were bound to pop up in some point of our long existence. Racism didn't magically appear, it's the result of ethnocentricism (which can be helpful when your groups is always fighting another group, but not when interacting with completely new groups are interacting for the first time), colorism (which surprise, surprise also appeared when people transitioned from hunter gather to stationary- and it's directly tied into capitalism {darker skin = working in field therefore you did not have a ton of resources just laying around) and of course capitalism (this was more of a "you have something I want and instead of trading like I might do with someone who is more similar to me, I'll come up with a justification for why I should be able to just take your stuff rather than a fair bargain being made).

I say all that because boy oh boy do I see us (humanity) slipping closer and closer to inventing a whole new "ism", we already have ageism (the point about the elderly and children) as a rampant part of a lot of Western and people impacted by Westernization cultures. Never in my life did I think I would see people disrespect and even go out of their way to harm the two most vulnerable populations, but here we are. At this point I truly think if we don't course correct and hope, pray, manifest, idgaf what you believe in just do something this path we traveling down, things will not get better. We have to take responsibility for us not being the best we can be and not blame someone else anymore. Trauma, as shit as it is, ain't no excuse to be a living dickhead. A lot of people have it, and at the end of the day they keep it pushing because taking our hurts out on others is exactly how we get dictators. It's not good on the individual level and individuals make up society.

So when I watched his documentary on Netflix and sadness and painies felt most of his life I wasn't surprised to find out he is is a scorpio moon, the emotion the lack of emotion the trying to constantly out smart yourself and feeling you have to push other people away when they get close to you the addiction problems and the constants sadness that lives within him, I'm so happy that he's in a good place now the price hounded him his whole career, and basically made him a punchline and made fun of his weight, is ego and his attitude. In the documentary it goes through his career from his beginning in "take that", addiction nearly killed him comma his relationship with the press especially the sun, another interesting part of the documentary with his relationship with Jerry Halliwell ginger spice, in the documentary you see them together on holiday and their chemistry and them talking and how he felt really close and that he could tell at anything and that she was someone he found really easy to go on with, he said the breakdown of the relationship the sad part of this that whatever they went together he said that the price would be there so there's many pictures of them together and he got told by a couple paparazzi that he was Jerry who was doing it, this isn't hard to believe considering is happens with a lot of celebrity couples and I've got a lot of the times that in on it together to make them be talked about to make more money and to give them more attention for their egos that they say desperately need especially when they've been told they're great they're entire life it's hard for them to live that down, and I do have compassion for fame because Fame seemed some kind of trauma, do have to say it makes me jealous though because for the last five years I have literally sat on my arse and done nothing with my depression I kind of wish I had someone telling me get on stage do this and I'd be proud I haven't had anything to keep me going apart from my addiction and all the people who have been a part of that I can't stand I think they're really evil people.

I wanted to talk about this as well because I think it's something that isn't talked about at all and maybe it's just my opinion and maybe it isn't that deep but I have noticed, that women obviously a much more compassionate creatures than men so when a man falls down with addiction that is often a woman to pick him up, basically turn the life ramp because put it this way if the woman is a non-addict then they can have children and it won't be as effective she won't be using while she's pregnant that kind of thing when a woman falls down with addictions you feel the lot faster, and obviously this is about Robbie but it's just something I wanted to add in, men or a lot more judging in this way they're very shallow I know this is my observation I've seen Pete docketing turn his overound Robbies obviously turned his life around a lot of celebrity men have and then they get with women and they have babies for the women they have to obviously be perfect and they have their kids taken off them EG Courtney Love I get it there's much more risk and they don't want the child have any problems. But it's still made me happy to see him have lots of children I didn't realize he had four children and a lovely wife because at the time when he got with her he was asleep in with his drug dealer and a lot of different prescription drugs and a legal drugs which he was very honest about made him feel very horrible especially co-game which isn't talked about and I really respect him for that. I grew up with a mum absolutely love Robbie and with obsessed with him she literally had all of his records and CDs and we'd listen to him all the time and she'd know everything about him he actually has a very similar look to men in my family and my sister is who don't like my dad because obviously he's their step dad think he's like him and they don't like Robbie because of, must get a really distorted self-image from the Press this because a lot of the time being told stuff about yourself that isn't true at all so you can resort to all these things from Addiction, eating disorders, body dysmorphia, health issues and trauma I do still believe that there's a lot of rituals that go on in these Industries, been said since the beginning of time, part of this thing that I find really interesting is Gary and Robbie they both looked at similar in the sense that they could put on way easily and work bullied because of it and they both felt lonely in the world Robbie is a natural Born entertainer, and Gary is very talented in the fact that he can put songs together right music and very professional and was always told this from a young age so he's ego he said got really big because , They were going to get somewhere because they were Trying so hard and this is just him on his own he's talking about he knew they were going to get some way even though they were in such a small percentile, the battle with things like this.

The sad part of Fame is it can be very lonely and Gary talks in his interview but he was getting honored or getting some kind of award in New York City and he was like being honored by Clive David and all the people in the music industry who are very high up and he was being celebrated, but then when he came off stage he was completely alone he was walking home to his hotel in the freezing cold in the rain all on his own even they just been celebrated in such a way he felt very lonely and sad I've grown up with a dad who's a musician and there are very sensitive ego driven kind of people and my dad is put a lot of hard working a lot of his adult life and he's very talented and can sing amazingly and it's even better on the guitar and I think he's always tried so hard and being the kind that if you pick dedication and things will come back it's only being in the later part of his life the last say 12 years he's become Big on YouTube for doing guitar lessons and I admire that and my brother who never fought would play the guitar is now playing it too it makes me very envious in a way because I know my addiction is stopped me I may be a good with astrology but at the moment I've even gone off that I thank God I found Tumble because it's really saved my life in a lot of ways like my dog because I like writing so much in it lets out a part of me and is able to relate with other sensitive types of people and I thank everyone who's been supported with my page. It had always been pretty obvious that Luke wasn't very happy with growing up in Halloweentown. He hated being a goblin, he hated his parents, and he hated his hometown. His parents were never really around much, anyway. They were there, fighting constantly and making up without giving Luke a second thought, but when he needed them most they never really pulled through. He learned at a young age that there was no point in relying on them. This only further built on his insecurities, despite that his parents were goblins too. He couldn't help but think of himself as hideous, unlovable, blaming that for the lack of attention he received from his parents rather than their own selfish actions. Ever the outcast, it made sense that Luke eventually found himself hanging with the wrong crowd while growing up in Halloweentown, even willing to work for sketchy people for his own personal gain. It was how he got wrapped up working for Kalabar initially, easily persuaded with the magical promise to make himself look human. From there, his association with bad crowds only continued.

Marnie Piper was a good influence on Luke, but he only really got to see her when she'd come visit Halloweentown, which wasn't enough to keep Luke completely out of trouble. Eventually, the redhead's local friends got him involved in local drug dealing. Halloweentown's drug business was a lot more intense than in the mortal world, with magical drugs that were far stronger and more dangerous than any regular drug. It was never something that Luke wanted to get deeply involved in, but once he was part of the business, it was pretty difficult to get back out.

When he eventually began to express more desire to leave Halloweentown for good and move to the mortal world, Luke had initially hoped it would be an easy escape from his current drug affairs, but instead it made things more complicated — suddenly, he was smuggling magical drugs through the portal to the mortal world, and now he had to adjust to human life and blend in, all while selling magical drugs behind the scenes. It isn't something Luke is proud of, especially now that he's spending more time with Marnie again, but so far he isn't sure he has any better options. In the meantime, he's found a local bus driving job that he works during the day, feeling more like himself now that he's in his human form and able to embrace what he's always wanted to be. Despite the bumps in the road with his current job, Luke can't help but feel it's a small price to pay to live in the mortal world.

Headcanons

There were a lot of reasons he decided to move to the mortal world. For one, he really has no connection to Halloweentown, no family ties or close friends to make him feel like he should stay. He also wanted to be closer to Marnie, missing her more after each time she visited. With his ever growing fascination of the mortal world though, no one ever really questioned his decision. Besides, who wouldn't want to live in the place where they were more attractive and more comfortable in their own skin?

Luke never has bad intentions at the end of the day, but that doesn't always mean he makes the best choices. He always proves his good intentions are there eventually, of course, which was exactly what he did for Marnie. The moment he met the witch from the mortal world, Luke became more and more facinated with human life, wishing he could always look as handsome as he did as a human (even if Marnie liked him better his natural way). Marnie is the one who used magic to make him appear human again once he was ready to leave Halloweentown, and he appreciates her for it!!

In his human form, Luke is the opposite of his usual, insecure self. He grows super cocky, self-aware of his attractiveness as a human (aka he's hot shit and he knows it!)

He was ever the pop-punk skater boy as a teenager. Still gives off that energy but more elder pop-punk energy now. He doesn't skateboard as much as he used to but it's still something he enjoys

He's still adjusting to the mortal world but he's loving it so far! He's even gotten super into social media and is gaining a decent following on Tiktok and instagram (which of course doesn't help his fat ego!)

- to keep in theme with jasper and victoria’s love for gothic and horror they named their son wesley after iconic horror director wes craven. it seemed on par with their son because he just loves making people scream. wesley and his twin cthulhu came to be with the aid of the dark arts. their mother was having trouble convincing so with a little bit of black magic the twins came to be. he was half skeleton monster which means while he could do all that his dad did it came with a price because of his human side. his body wasn’t fully made to withstand all that was needed so wesley could pop parts off but it left marks on his body - unlike his father. as for a full skeletal transformation? wesley attempted it once and the pain was too excruciating he had to stop. ironically, he was left with a broken arm.   

- wes was gifted the same brilliant mind his father had. he was a certified genius except he didn’t use his intelligence to its full potential. jasper had always sought out something more in life but wes was just content with where he was. he didn’t want to be grand or special, he was fine with slacking off and not giving people expectations. he didn’t want to live up to the skellington name which he was well aware was powerful in hallow falls. it was once besmirched but his father had fixed his reputation, leaving citizens to continue to grovel at their feet for forgiveness. he was the only son in a sea of girls and while jasper didn’t want to pressure his son he also wishes wes would see his potential. 

- he graduated the top of his class but never applied himself to do extracurricular activities or anything. wes had the grades but he let everything else slip. he would much rather be at the skatepark or smoking weed rather than doing bake sales or whatever the golden kids did. for lack of a better word he was fine with being a loser rather than being popular.  

- currently wes works at the comic shop in elias. if he’s not causing mayhem with the teague triplets, or annoying his sisters, he’s with his boyfriend, harry, minding his business, keeping his side of the street clean !!

- personality wise –  absolute fucking menace. very sarcastic and never takes anything seriously. he’s a little crude sometimes. is also known to be moody, chaotic and destructive. he has his moments of intelligence and being the voice of reason but it’s far and few. he plays dumb a good chunk of the time and finds it amusing when people realize that he has more than one brain cell. despite all the annoyance, he’s very loving, loyal and funny.
