It's tough dealing with the stigma of being both LGBTQ+ and part of the BDSM community. Those labels come with a lot of baggage, mostly from people who don’t get it. I myself don’t even like using them half the time because they remind me of all the crap "normative" people say.

I keep balancing between embracing who I am and shielding myself from the scorn and deep shame that comes with it. I never wanted to be defined by terms that make me feel boxed in by others' prejudices. They see the letters, the labels, and they think they have the right to judge me.

Deep down, I always knew I wanted this — the love, the pain, the connection. It’s not about fitting into boxes or being defined by labels. It’s about how my gf makes me feel alive and every moment with her feels right.

Yeah, it can be heavy sometimes, dealing with all the judgment and misunderstanding. But I try not to let it get to me. I focus on us, on what we have. Because at the end of the day, it’s our life, our love, and no one else gets to define that for us.

So, here’s to loving fiercely, living authentically, and not giving a damn about what the world thinks.

I was judged and labeled a hypocrite by proshippers because I made a mistake, I owned up to it, apologized and admitted I was wrong. We are people, right? It’s not like we are robots who never make a mistake, or have never biases. But it’s important to realize that mistakes were made and to own up and apologize for it

I have also always been anti censorship and never judged people for what they liked in fiction. I always thought that was dumb.

but ever since this experience and many similar ones, I’ve found people who do use that label and made a name for themselves are very clique. If you’re not with them, you’re against them

No need to be sorry, anon, I absolutely agree! Thank you for sharing your experience with me, it's very validating to hear similar experiences from others. It lets me know that I'm helping others by doing so as well.

My recent conflict with an anti-aligned anon has been very eye-opening about the Us vs Them mentality that exists between the proship and antiship labels, and that's not something I want to further feed into.

The point is that censorship benefits no one, and that is the only part of the argument that matters.

People don't have to like, agree with, or even condone the content that others are consuming. But if that content is fictional and/or adults doing consenting adult things that they are tagging correctly when posting online, then it is no one's business but theirs. Especially not these white knight types jumping down people's throats unwarranted. And building a proship community solely to fight these white knights is just an eye for an eye. Which is a horrible mentality.

The internet wasn't always like this and it doesn't need to be the way it is now. We can bring it back to the way it was prior to 2016-ish if enough of us are willing to break mob mentality and post like our blogs are for us and not about follower counts or catering to the morality or comfort of others.

Tagging systems and blocking exist for the people who don't want to see certain content. And I need to keep reminding myself of that.

First thing I'm noticing here is the DEPTH and QUALITY of this background.

It's VERY extensive, and looks a lot like the OG teaser...

....actually, it's not, now that I'm looking at it. Whoof, that initial teaser was far beyond what we got.

Going into it now, it really does look like the standard environments we're going to get in the show...but with a filter over it? Was that a joke? Did the crew put a blue filter over the show to tease that it would look like Jurassic World, then pull back to reveal that this is just the video game, and the actual show would be much more vivid?
