Title & Author: All eyes on her by L.E. Flynn
Score:95/100
Comments: This books is amazing and takes a interesting turn on murder mystery with formatting, it from everyone’s point of view but the suspect because “everyone thinks they know a girl better than she knows herself”.
Another thing I really like is the text messages, diary entries and news articles among other things within, it makes it interesting and makes it stand out from other books.
It’s hard to explain what it’s about with spoiling too much, but to take from the blurb it’s about a girl and boy who enter the woods and only one comes out and everyone has their own opinion of what went down, her best friend, her sister, strangers on the internet, her Ex and so much more.
All I can say is give it a go because it is amazing and will keep you reading and guessing who did what.

Something made him angry that night. Something made her cry. Something made Trixie disappear. What if it was all the same thing? Fiona claims she doesn’t remember anything about the night her best friend left a party early and walked into the ocean. But the truth is, she wishes she could forget. Trixie’s disappearance is ruled a suicide, but Fiona starts to believe that Trixie isn’t really dead. Piecing together the trail of a girl who doesn't want to be found leads her to Jasper, Trixie’s former friend with benefits, and Beau—the boy who turned Fiona down, who loved someone else, who might be happy Trixie is gone. The closer Fiona gets to finding out what happened, and the closer she gets to Jasper and Beau, the more she realizes that the girl she knew better than anyone may have been a carefully constructed lie—and she might have been waiting to disappear the entire time. Told in alternating chapters between the past and the present, Last Girl Lied To is a gripping emotional thriller.

Stacking the Shelves is a meme co-hosted by Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews and Marlene at Reading Reality, where you share the books you’ve added to your shelves in the past week. You can include books you buy, books you borrow, review books, gifts, and ebooks.
I can’t believe it’s been almost two years since I did a Stacking the Shelves post! How did that happen?! I’d barely begun to join in, when I stopped. I’ll try to be more regular about it from now on.
This has been a very good week for me, thanks to Edelweiss and Netgalley. I came across several upcoming books that sounded too good to pass up, and it made me a little click-happy. (Oops.) Oh well. No regrets!
It’s a nice mix of genres, too. Women’s fiction, contemporary fiction, thrillers, fantasy, and—of course—historical fiction feature on my virtual shelves this week. I couldn’t wait to start reading them, either. I’ve already finished The Girl from Paradise Alley by Sandy Taylor, and I’m currently reading Kristy Woodson Harvey’s Feels Like Falling. (Reviews will be up for both books very soon.) If these books are any indication, I have chosen very wisely when it comes to books I’ll enjoy reading!
There are too many books to include the blurb for each one, so I’ll provide links to each book on Goodreads below. (Please note that the author’s website or a social media profile will also be linked.)

The Girls Are All So Nice Here by Lauren Elizabeth Flynn

“All Eyes on Her” by L.E. Flynn
Tumblr media
Cover Credit: Amazon (still unsure about Copyright laws, so please don’t sue me)
All Eyes on Her by L.E. Flynn available on Amazon
Book Summary (credited to Amazon):
“Perfect for fans of One of Us is Lying and We Were Liars, All Eyes on Her by L.E. Flynn is a gripping young adult thriller told from the perspective of everyone except the alleged killer―a seventeen-year-old girl. You heard the story on the news. A girl and a boy went into the woods. The girl carried a picnic basket. The boy wore bright yellow running shoes. The girl found her way out, but the boy never did… Everyone thinks they know what happened. Some say Tabby pushed him off that cliff― she didn’t even like hiking. She was jealous. She had more than her share of demons. Others think he fell accidentally―she loved Mark. She would never hurt him…even if he hurt her. But what’s the real story? All Eyes On Her is told from everyone but Tabby herself as the people in her life string together the events that led Tabby to that cliff. Her best friend. Her sister. Her enemy. Her ex-boyfriend. Because everybody thinks they know a girl better than she knows herself. What do you think is the truth?”
My Thoughts
I absolutely loved this book. I read the description for it long before the book was actually released and I was hesitant. I didn’t really understand the way the story would go told from everyone else but Tabby’s perspective, but I was pleasantly surprised. L.E. Flynn does a phenomenal job telling the story from so many different points of view. I was literally on edge from the first few chapters.
Tabby is one of those girls you see once and remember forever. She’s the kind of girl you stop to stare at on the street. She isn’t the kind of girl who would kill someone. She’s one of those girls you think you know before you even talk to her.
I think the story takes place in four parts that are broken up into past and present stories from several different characters. All while everyone else is giving their side of the story, you get glimpses into who Tabby is and how other people feel about her. You never quite understand Tabby, though, since you don’t get to hear from her until the end of the book, but that makes the book even more compelling.
The perspectives include Tabby’s little sister who believes she’s hidden in Tabby’s shadow, but also thinks the world of her. Tabby’s best friend who thought she knew her the best, but reveals she might be as clueless as everyone else. A girl who considers herself Tabby’s enemy. Her dead boyfriend’s best friend. An ex-boyfriend. So many people are telling a story, but none of them are sure about what actually happened.
The only two people who know what happened are Tabby and Mark, but Mark is dead and Tabby is silent.
L.E. Flynn also included snippets of newspapers, true crime blogs, etc. because everyone is trying to figure out what happened on that cliff. Those are almost my favorite parts because they show how quickly people can make assumptions, even in fiction.
The death is initially declared an accident, but suspicions are on Tabby throughout the entire book, which brings a new element when everyone else is telling Tabby’s story. The end brings a twist I kind of saw coming, but only because I’m naturally suspicious.
There were times when I was absolutely certain Tabby premeditatedly killed her boyfriend and others when I was sure she was innocent. I won’t say what I thought at the end of the book; you’ll just have to make up your own mind because you definitely need to read this book.
I am obsessed with this book and will definitely be re-reading it in the near future. I think if you have the time, you should check this book out from your library or purchase it from your local book store because you won’t be disappointed.

Last Girl Lied To by L.E. Flynn
People detach themselves from the past when they decide to end their lives. But they were all wrong. Maybe Trixie clung to the past, to Toby, like a barnacle. Maybe she wasn’t ending her life so much as starting a new one.
Fiona changed her whole life for Trixie. When Trixie’s disappearance is ruled a suicide Fiona is sure that Trixie is still alive. Fiona spends most of her senior year of high school doing everything possible to prove that Trixie would not leave her that way, that she would disappear willingly before she would complete suicide. A mesmerizing look at teenage life and the power one girl can have on another. Sad, so sad.
I still see her a hundred times a day, in a hundred different girls on the street, in the mall, everywhere. She’s every girl with short blond hair and a lip ring. She’s every girl with long brown hair and a collarbone that juts out. She’s every girl with a cigarette, every girl in denim cutoff shorts. She’s every laughing girl, every crying girl, every girl standing by herself, every girl in a hurry with her head down. She’s everywhere and nowhere, just like she was the whole time I knew her.

This is one of those books that I loved but am kind of convinced otherwise because of all the emotions it made me feel towards the characters. Like, what? Who are we suppose to root for here?!
We're not suppose to know; which is exactly why I liked it. While reading your thoughts and opinions go everywhere, because you'll never know what the truth is. I'm a big fan of the idea that if you ask different people about one subject they will give you different stories; and that is exactly what this is, it's one side of each person's story. It's a great emphasis on how we're all guilty when it comes to quickly jumping to a conclusion or judgment towards a person.
And even when all the facts are on the table we still won't know the entire story.

My take on August 18? Illustrated covers have TAKEN OVER THE WORLD. I’m not mad about it, but it’s a lot – though I didn’t include every cover.
