Happy Valentine's day! :D
I made a little drawing featuring Kyrri, the main character of WDCAS, and Sylver, his love interest :>
What is WDCAS?
What Doesn't Cast A Shadow is an ongoing webcomic that follows the story of a young wolf, named Kyrri, throughout his life.
Everything had been going well for Kyrri until an unfortunate accident happened and things took a dark turn. Overwhelmed, Kyrri left his pack and began to wander all alone... or so he thought.
Update regarding the upcoming comic page: I might have to delay it since it's a difficult shot and I have other things I must do before the comic pages :<

Review Kyrri? My first neopet.
Kyrii are vaguely weasel-like, but that's probably not what you remember them for. If you're like me, you remember them for A) having extremely luxurious manes, and B) being smug and vaguely conniving. The design itself is fine albeit somewhat plain, but it's those additional traits that help them stand out a bit. (They're also allergic to apples—not the only species with an allergy to a certain food, but I feel like they get it played up the most.)
Visually, Kyrii have a standard bipedal pose with a complimentary lighter tint of the main color used for the underbelly, including the jaw, and the inside of their ears, which have a nice teardrop shape to them. The mane, arguably the driving concept behind the species, is also very pretty, having lots of curves and swishes to it that really give it that full, rich look. I also like how the tail and the mane are one unit, so the tail looks like the hair and vice versa.
In terms of customization, Kyrii got the short of the stick. They're not the worst by a long shot, but the big problem here is the face. It's too short, too wide, a little too round, and it doesn't taper the way it should. Technically speaking it's a subtle difference, but it really does majorly change the way the species looks, and not in a good way. They also lost that vaguely smug look, possibly due to having the head turned upwards more.
On top of the face, the body also got a bit screwed up, as both the stomach and forearms became too bulky, whereas originally the Kyrii was a pretty lanky species. Other odd decisions including running the underbelly up onto the jaw, which kind of affects the way the mouth reads even if it has a nice shape to it, and reducing the amount of shine in the mane. On the plus side, the mane itself at least looks better—it's much fuller than it was originally and the really janky shape of the fur on top of the head has been majorly improved.
Favorite Colours:
Royal: Royal Kyrii are a good example of how badly customization messed up the species, as they went from being quite beautiful to incredibly awkward, in part due to their faces being too wide and round and in part due to some weird decisions on the clothing (such as the Royal Boy loosing his cape and large sleeves and the Royal Girl loosing the entire back of her dress in addition to her hair braids no longer wrapping around the back of her head).
However, the original designs are fantastic! Both versions are good and have their own unique flavor (something royal pets sometimes struggle with). The Royal Girl has a lovely elegant look with a long muzzle, pretty dress, and a very nice turquoise and white color palette. The Royal Boy has a primarily maroon palette with an extra over-the-top mane and a vaguely swordsman-like outfit.
The poses are also full of personality, especially with the long-defunct battledome art bring us these gems:
10/10 no notes.
Pastel: Pastel pets are usually just taking a pet and applying pastel colors to the design as-is, so the pastel Kyrii really stands out by having the addition of stripes added to its mane. This gives it a very distinct look and adds a fun rainbow aspect to the design. The palette itself is also nice, juggling five colors at once without it feeling overwhelming or too busy. Just really nice!
Water: Water is a very hit-or-miss colour and it depends entirely on how good the art is, but thankfully they really nailed it with the water Kyrii. The white-foam mane draws attention to the most important part of the design and has a good amount of depth, especially int he darker areas at the base, while the body has a nice subtle gradient, highlights, bubbles, and ripples to give it that water-y feeling.

4. What is your zodiac sign?
I've been told my birth sign is Virgo, but my rising sign is Scorpio. And I can see it; I have a volatile mix of the both of them. If you're looking for Chinese zodiac though, it's the Rat.
7. What drew you to writing your current character(s)?
The Sidhe were originally made for a forum community back in 2009, run by the same team who made the forum for Zone United, and the origin for the mainblog here as well [ @schwarzwaldcr ]. The admin team enjoyed my worldbuilding for the Schwarzwald Visitation Zone enough that they basically asked me to make a character/set of characters for a Legend of Zelda community they wanted to work on, featuring a different dynamic for Ocarina of Time. Originally, Fariah wasn't named Fariah, and she was only in company of about eight other NPCs at the time. That was the original Imperial Landfall set, but as the story progressed and people began expressing interest in what the Sidhe were for what little they saw of them, I was asked to start weaving their entire world together in the hopes new players and old would want to make Sidhe-based characters as well; since Hyrule is under Sidhe control in IL, it made sense more of the race would be seen around. Unfortunately, an internal fight with the admin team saw the full forum deletion of both Zone United and Imperial Landfall, but with pushing from friends I'd kept in contact with in IL, I did finish the Sidhe worldbuilding and lore to completion back then. They weren't reworked for Tumblr consumption until 2015/2016, when another dear friend of mine enabled me into making the first blog and though I've been in and out of the RPC since then, and recently remade the blog as a sideblog from the original. I just can't keep away from these tall seafaring assholes for long, they live rent free in my heart of hearts, though I thank a number of friends for pushing me to keep them alive. They'll stay alive until the end of time. I love them too much to drop them for too long.
10. What is your favorite fictional character (in or out of the current fandom)?
That's a hard one, actually. But I have a number of comfort characters I keep and do roleplay-ish for friends; they have their own sideblog as a multimuse as obscure as they are. Personally, I adhere a lot to Killy/Kyrrie from BLAME!, as well as to Guideau from The Witch and the Beast. Killy is kind of my fictional soulmate, and I mean that in a purely platonic way. He's ancient, his memory's falling apart, he's seen the world over and over in different forms and structures and likely sighs a little when new kids just Don't Get It. He forgets himself but never his objective. I hope he gets the rest he deserves, he needs it more than anything. Guideau fills my niche of Angry For Seemingly No Reason. Not a good person, but not a terrible creature either. She's emotionally stunted and adaptable and openly violent, and I'm here for that. A very different personage from Killy, for sure, but a comfort character nonetheless. I feel catharsis watching her beat the shit out of things. I have others, definitely, and I feel a kinship with many more in this day and age, but these two dictate how I see the world and its cynicist violence.

Chapter 4: A Few Chats
...I may have neglected my updates for a while. Fear not, for I have returned, and am making good progress! [Please let my motivation continue]. As always, comments and reblogs are a writer's miruvor.
Credit: Donato Giancola
“You would abandon Osgiliath for a romp in the forest with your little sidekicks?” asked Orthordir, taking a long swig from his waterskin.
“The Rangers of Ithilien are hardly ‘sidekicks,” retorted Faramir with an arched eyebrow, “For one thing, they do not listen to me as much as I would like.”
“You’re a born leader, my lord,” said Orthordir dryly.
Faramir’s brow furrowed. “Boromir was– is. No news has come from Rivendell, and I dare not…” he trailed off, looking despondent.
“I’m sure he’s alive,” said Orthordir hurriedly, wanting the conversation to divert from emotions as quickly as possible, “But in the meantime, I trust you’ll gather the intelligence we need.”
“Just as I trust you to pay me back?”
“I live on tax castars during wartime, my lord. It will all be back to you in due time.”
“Hmm,” said Faramir, unconvinced. “Are you at least enjoying your new sword?”
“Haven’t gotten enough chances to use it,” he said, peering out to the Osgiliath border. “They must be planning something.”
“If they should attack in my absence,” said Faramir, straightening the arrows in his quiver, “Feel free to win the war without me.”
“It would not have crossed my mind otherwise,” said Magrien from a distance, strutting up to the pair with an uncharacteristic smile.
“Delighted at my departure, Lady Magrien?” said Faramir, trying to stuff a comically thick tome into his travel pack.
“I just sold off my entire stock,” she replied lightheartedly, “I suppose public duels are an effective form of advertising.”
“Public duels with yours truly,” corrected Orthordir.
“I doubt you will need reading material in the forests of Ithilien,” said Magrien, ignoring the General entirely.
“Please guard it,” said Faramir, giving up on his packing attempt and handing the enormous book to Orthordir.
“I’m sure the men will be tripping over themselves to obtain ‘The Annotated and Illustrated Histories of the Kingdoms of the First Age, Vol. 3.’”
“It has my own notes and corrections,” said Faramir with a smidge of pride, “as well as a full index of sources that I’ve cross-referenced.”
“Exciting stuff, I’m sure.”
“With that kind and thoughtful farewell, I shall be going,” said Faramir, walking to the southern border.
“Avoid death!” waved Magrien earnestly.
Kyrri walked in stony silence, the rocks under his feet seemingly sharper and the air somewhat denser. He was missing the rest of the Fellowship already, despite their impossibly short time together. Days always seemed to blend together on the road, more so now that a heavy shadow clung to the very grasses that lay beneath his feet.
“How long has it been since you were last in Minas Tirith?” asked Boromir out of the blue, appearing to shake himself out of his own spiraling thoughts.
Kyrri scrunched his eyebrows in thought. “I was either fourteen or fifteen, depending on when my birthday is.” “You know not your own birthday?” asked Boromir, looking more shocked than what was appropriate.
Kyrri shrugged nonchalantly. “I never found out when I was a child, and the elves didn’t care much for birthdays anyway. Gets difficult to keep track after a thousand years, I suppose.”
Boromir hummed, adjusting the shield slung over his shoulder. In the ensuing period of quiet, Kyrri thought of the vision Aragorn had received from the Seat of Seeing, of Rohan’s destruction and the reign of Saruman. He wished the hobbits had been able to come with them, but apparently they were safer going to a forseen war zone than a current one.
“Foresight,” Kyrri sighed, “it must be a greater curse than death itself.”
Boromir swiveled his head sharply. “My brother has the gift. It was his dream that brought me to Rivendell.”
Kyrri raked his brain for a moment. “You speak of… Lord Faramir, was it?”
Boromir’s eyes lit up at the mention of the name. “I am surprised you never met him, as you are a scholar in your own right.”
Kyrri scoffed. “Impoverished schoolboys don’t exactly hang around a prince of Gondor,” he said, “Although my classmates would often visit the libraries in hopes of catching a glimpse of him. Simpler times, were they not?”
Boromir chuckled, shaking his head fondly. “I’m afraid it has never been so easy for my brother. Our father– well, it is a long and complicated explanation.”
Kyrri gestured to the empty grasslands before them. “We have nothing but time, my lord.”
Boromir waved his hand dismissively. “It is Boromir, please.”
“Carry on then, Boromir.”
Kyrri listened to the tale, nodding in various places to announce his comprehension before self-consciously hoping that Boromir did not take it as a sign of agreement with Denethor.
“...Things did not improve when Faramir became Gandalf’s apprentice.”
Kyrri jerked around to face him. “He learned magic?!”
“You shall have to ask him yourself,” replied Boromir, eyes twinkling, “Though I am inclined to believe that all old Gandalf taught him was the basics of beard maintenance.”
Kyrri patted his own bare face without thinking. “If anybody would know, it would be Mithrandir.”
“That is true,” replied Boromir, wincing slightly as he turned his arm.
Kyrri frowned. “Were you hurt in the fight?” Having quickly let go of his pride, Kyrri had allowed Aragorn to bandage his ribs and smear some athelas on his gaping cuts, requesting an Elvish healing incantation for good measure. Kyrri had always been a rather weak healer, as nobody in Imladris got hurt enough for him to practice, but it was fascinating nonetheless to see one as skilled as Aragorn. He had taken a few notes and asked him to repeat the Quenya, to Aragorn’s annoyance.
“I’ve been worse,” said Boromir, stubbornly walking faster.
Kyrri rolled his eyes, jogging to catch up with him. “You may have an entire country that walks on eggshells when they speak to you, but know that I will not hesitate to say that I told you so.”
“It will not come to that,” he replied through short and labored breaths.
“If you say so.” Kyrri was looking forward to lording this over him later. “What were you saying about Lord Faramir?”
“Ah, he is a scholar first and a soldier second. He did not deserve to be dragged into this war.”
“Who did?” Kyrri started fiddling with the end of his sleeve in his musings. “War takes from us all, in one way or another. It cannot do anything else, at least, from what I’ve read,” he amended hurriedly.
A hint of a smile played on the corner of Boromir’s mouth. “Now you even sound like him. I suppose we can’t all be soldiers, then.”
“War will make soldiers of us all,” Kyrri replied, scanning the gathering clouds over the mountain ranges.

You play dnd? If so is that where you get your character inspiration from? You're very creative and inspiration to me as a fledgling writer myself, I think ur work is so cool!
Sadly, I don't play! I really wish I could, but I'm a hermit and I have no friends locally, so... yeah. My former-patreons discord had a game for a while, but timezones were too much of faff for me to join in - I'd have been playing at 2am which wasn't doable for me at the time.
I did create a centaur character for it though. His name is Kyrri, and he's adorkable. You can find his info post here:
https://monstersandmaw.tumblr.com/post/187742139835/my-centaur-kjartan-aka-kyrri-or-disaster
As for character inspiration, I get them from all over, and not just fantasy/monster stories. I read some advice somewhere a long time ago that said something along the lines of ''if you want to be a better writer, read'' and it stuck with me...

I'd like to add my two cents about Runaan being trapped in a coin, but I currency can't work up enough for a theory post.
Instead a headcanon - I think Runaan isn't the one who 'killed' Harrow... he's in-a-cent.
Well hopefully we'll see some change in his situation coinciding with season 3. There's no telling what Runaan will do once he gets out, but he may just make Viren pay for what he did.

Advice on how to enjoy Jayce outside of Arcane? I don't even like Arcane... But it seems no one remembers he exists outside of that for a decade previously
Im gonna be playing a bit of a bummer role here but........ Jayce focused stuff in fandom is very few and far inbetween. My advice is to curate your tl/dashboard/wherever to include the least amount of stress related to that subject, and if you feel like browsing the character tags is only making your outlook worse, give it a break. (Alternatively: when you do find something you enjoy, let the creator know about it! A comment or compliment goes a long way in terms of encouraging people and that's how you build a niche.)
There used to be a few more league jayce fanwork creators around but I've noticed a sharp decline and migration event since arcane, which isn't rly something I can do much about now nor can I fault them for it 🤷♂️
I tend to stick to myself or talk to the same 3ish people that understand what I like, and I'm pretty self-sufficient in that way; the most fun I have is coming up with story or AU concepts that I then throw in gdocs or scribble out on a canvas, and sometimes, if they're legible, I'll share them here for other people. I highly encourage everyone to try their own hand at hyperspecific interest crossovers or comparisons or silly fanart or bulletpoint AU fics that exist for your benefit prior to anybody else's. I'm a creator, and this is the main way I enjoy things. It may be different for you, but I think it's worth giving a shot! I believe the more of something you put out in the world the more it has a chance to take root and give back, but it has to start somewhere.
If reccomendations are what you seek, I can offer [ my fanfic bookmarks ] which contain a lot of jayce-focused works, and you can click on each individual author to browse a few more! (There are others, trust me.)
If you need starting places, try Dialectics and Reflectives or Total Organ Failure -- they set a really nice scene.
In terms of a bit more obscure but very enjoyable fanwork, heres an archive of og lore viktor/jayce art by Kyrrys, including a whole comic
You may also find great joy in Nesirch’s vikjayce twitter moment which has a loooot of 2019+ fanart! PLUS PART 2 (includes arcane)
And The Big Bad Jayvik Compilation, a sizable PDF of archived pre-arcane fic by Tyelperin
I wish I could offer a neater archive of jayce leagueoflegends overall, but it's not something I have ready right now. Maybe someday. When I next get back to you on this, I'll have a few textbased things of my own to add to the pile.
