Blogmas: Drugstore vs High-end Red Lipstick 💕

Hi guys,

When it comes to festive makeup everyone always reached for a red lip, it's tradition, iconic and let's face it we love it! For the past few years I have always reached for my Kylie Cosmetics Better Not Pout lip kit, £28.00, which is a gorgeous wine toned red matte liquid lipstick.

That lipstick has been my ride or die (picture on the left) for a long time but now I have found an affordable dupe of this lipstick so I don't need to buy another £28.00 lip kit. I have started using the drugstore L'Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Resistance Lipstick shade Wine Not, £11.99. These lipsticks have been going viral on tiktok because they are long-lasting, pigmented formulas which last just as long as the luxury brand formulas but much more affordable.

Since I'm really fair wearing a berry / wine toned red lipstick compliments my fair skin tone much more than a neon / orange toned red shade which looks crazy on me (and not ina good way). As you can see above on the left side I'm wearing Kylie Cosmetics and on the right I have Loreal Paris on and looking at the shades there isn't a difference at all!

Both formulas last just as long, don't dry ,my lips out and are so pigmented. Buying the Kylie kit does include a perfectly matching lip liner but I'm sure you could find a near enough Loreal Paris match if you wanted a liner. So if you're looking to save money this festive season I really recommend checking out the brand new Loreal Matte Liquid Lipsticks. As always all products mentioned are linked above.
