I've read some fics with similar thing in it but it never was the main plot expect maybe two or three, but those were too short

in prime earth canon, jason todd (NOT red hood) was* publicly known to be alive

red hood: outlaw (2018) #32 (ID in alt text)

considering that jason todd was the official owner of the iceberg lounge during this time, it's likely he acquired the lounge legally and thus can be inferred that he had to be declared legally alive to do so

which brings me to my point:

i've seen a lot of people writing/speculating the difficulties and limitations jason experiences bc he was declared legally dead after ethiopia, which is all well and good, and is fantastic fodder for angst

but i've been wondering if this was bc people are actively ignoring canon (valid) or simply didn't know that at one point* jason was publicly alive (also valid, bc following comics is a shitshow lol)

i haven't read a lot of other important runs like death metal (2020), three jokers (2020), robins (2021), etc. if jason (NOT red hood) was declared dead once again in any of those, that is the reason why i used "was" in the very first sentence of this post and reiterate that he was alive at least for a limited period

my bad that i missed his second legal death tho LOLLL

i'm also aware that red hood (NOT jason) was known as "dead" by others after task force z (even though he clearly didn't die). that said, in the little i've read of tj:tmwsl, it seems that 1) not everyone knows red hood is actually alive, and/or that 2) red hood died at all. again, if red hood is generally known to be alive after tfz, that's on me

Honestly my favorite pieces to date. I look at this and my brain leaps for joy: "I drew this! I colored this!!!" Them and this piece (and their almost matching neck scars shh) sparks so much joy

Unironically, I think about this all the time. They got married once for like "the peace of the planet" in some far sector of space. Then they got married once in Space Vegas for the bit. Now they just get space married for the love of the game as tradition demands whenever the happen to get into space together. The other lanterns have born witness to many of these engagements and instead of helping them (i.e. "hey bonehead, you like him"), one of them drops the fact in the middle of a JL meeting when Bruce is being a jackass to watch him bluescreen. The others are upset they weren't the earthside lantern to be the one able to pull that trap card.

Bruce breaking into jason's apartment: You're MARRIED?!

"it's not that serious" They have a photo album of all their weddings. They laugh about their favorites. They jokingly, dramatically recite their vows to the other when getting too deep into activates when on opposing teams ("did me saying not even in death will we part me nothing to you?"). Vows which they update to be more earnest every wedding. They "ironically" court the other in front of people once they find out about their "tradition." They only realize they're in love with the other when they're watching them do something sickly domestic on an early, may morning where they fell asleep on the couch watching movies together the night before and then nearly have a heart attack on the spot

Jaykyle would try and trick the other with an alien wedding because they refuse to talk like normal people. They get married on like 10 different planets before either of them catch on.

They have tattoos, piercings, dyes, all sorts of cosmetic shit to signify they're married. Just a tapestry of piss poor communication.

I've had this question for a long time… about Jason and romantic relationships. I've started reading a lot of Batfam content where there are always ships—BatCat, DickKory, TimKon, DickBabs, and everything you can imagine. But my question is… why do I almost never see Jason with a love interest?

I know he's often paired with Roy, but I'd like to know if you guys enjoy seeing him with an OC, Artemis, Rose, or Roy, or if you prefer him single (you know). Especially considering how romance is handled in Jason's comics and the dynamics he has with certain female characters.

Also, about those OC stories he tends to have—I've read Jason x OC with both male and female characters. But I don’t know… I'd love to hear your opinions. A lot of times, I want to write Jason with someone (because the dynamic is interesting), but then I realize I actually enjoy keeping him single, just trying to find himself.

or my part, I like reading a bit of everything (as long as it's well written). I enjoy seeing his dynamic with a partner—it’s often really fun. But I also like seeing him with OCs, even though they tend to be a bit hated due to self-inserts. Still, it can be entertaining because, if you think about it… how could a vigilante be with a civilian? Their lives are pure chaos. With antiheroes, heroes, or other vigilantes, it makes more sense, and that can be fun too—especially when it’s just about the others watching from the sidelines, like the Batboys finding out their brother has a partner. My question is, have you seen any Jason ships that are outside the usual ones? One time, I came across Jason x Raven, and I thought, Wow, what an interesting ship. A combination I never would have imagined.

question: what ship do you enjoy reading? mostly when it's a batfam fic. the typical where there's a lot of ship or even one as background.
