Kate went with Roger to a dark mansion and chatted nonsense, trying to distract herself. Roger noticed this and

She screamed and rushed into his arms. He clearly hadn't expected such a reaction and laught a bit. But then he asked her why she was so afraid of ghosts.

But he looks totally at ease, and Kate asks him about it.

I totally understand the point of view of them both. If the situation goes beyond your expectations, you start to get nervous. If something has taken you out of your comfort zone it's totally normal to feel fear. And I agree with Roger. It's not scientifically proven, and I haven't seen it, so… it doesn't exist… Until at least one of these two changes, there is no point in being scared…

As the matter of fact, Roger chose this part of the castle himself, and Kate asked why is that. At first, he wasn't sure if he should tell her about it or not… But he did… He heard a strange sound as soon as they approached this building.

(creepy music playing)

He pointed to the door and, using brute force, opened it (it was very carefully barricaded).

Isn't this Kyle's hospital room in the worst possible condition? I didn't find a conformation and I don't wanna reinstall the game just to check. But a more lively version of this background was defenetly used in IkePri on Gil's route.

They looked through the notes scattered around and found out that the owner of this place was conducting inhuman experiments on the cursed. When they found the hidden door and were ready to see what was hidden inside… There was a terrible scream, and Elbert (?) ran into the room…

At first I couldn't figure out what a hell is going on. His expression changed dramatically, which is so unlike Elbert, and he said such strange things… But, thank goodness, we have Alfons. He came and calmly explained what had happened. Elbert was possessed by some kind of ghost. While Elbert turned from his normal self to a creepy one who was not thrilled with his obsession, Roger decided to take a look at the bag they found in the secret room.

And he seemed very interested in Roger… Keep saying how he wants his body. Sorry… these are his words, not mine.

Roger mentioned the jewels they had found (a lie), and the real Elbert was so interested to see it that the spirit couldn't stand his obsession anymore and flew away, turning into a black fog. But he immediately jumped into Alfons.

I laughed so hard at that line. That's so damn accurate… Nothing can stop him!

Kate was worried about him and asked how he was doing…

Stop ordering my boy! He wanna talk, let him talk.

Kate asked the ghost who he was, and he explained, not very politely, that he was the owner of this mansion and was conducting research on the cursed to gain their special abilities.

Okay… This guy is absolutely crazy… Just don't tell him that.

Alfons very politely asked the spirit to leave

Suddenly Roger went up to Alfons and… hugged him…

I'm surprised he didn't carry out his threat at that very moment.

So the spirit left Alfons and turned back into black smoke.

It reminds me of the prologue to Genjiden… two showed up, then two more… and… not this time. But that would have happened if they had taken the rest of the Crown with them.

Roger repeats his hugging trick with the newcomers.

You know, mister, you've inspired me to very naughty thoughts… hugging so many people…

The ghost continues to demand that he needs Roger's body and that Roger should let him in. So Roger asked why he was taking Al and El's body without permission, but couldn't do the same to him.

Well… I guess he's special…

Kate remembered about the bag (damn bag) and decided to see what was inside, and…. A ghost had taken over her body.

Premium ending

Roger rushed to Kate, leaving the men defenseless. Poor guys… they will freeze without this huge heater. But when he hugged Kate, the ghost noticed that she wasn't really against it (unlike the boys). And Roger called her his pet. Jeez… Why a pet again? It's kind of getting old.

In order to take over his body, ghost threatens to stop Kate's heart. Can he do it? Even if not, you won't know for sure until it's too late. So Roger sucks that spirit out through her mouth. It's not the same as a kiss... right?... And this ghost was trapped inside Roger because he was so good at controlling or something.

They set the bag on fire with a lighter Jude borrowed (sometimes it's really convenient to have a smoker nearby). And the ghost, shouting something about his treasure, burns with it in the fire…

Back at the Crown mansion, Roger examines Kate. Obviously, she is wondered…

Roger answered they were fine and didn't need to be checked. But he thinks the ghost left something in her. Suspicious. After that, he reminds her that she can reward him for her salvation. With a kiss.

And when she finally plucked up the courage to touch his lips, this guy said it didn't count as a kiss and kissed her properly without permission (that a bastard).

He's way too suspicious!!! I don't trust him! ALFONS!!!

So that's it. It feels like this is a very short story, but I spent the same 2 hours as I did on Alfons' (2 hours for the first reading and another hour for the second ending. Yes, I read very slowly in incorrect English, and this event was so damn long), but for some reason it seems shorter.

It was a lot of fun (unexpectedly) and all the guys were there (which is good). I'm glad Roger didn't used his hugging weapon on Elbie, he doesn't deserve to be treated like that. It sounds like someone else deserves it… Now that it sounds like it's a terrible thing to hug Roger… Actually Alfie mentioned that he's too hot (meaning temperature) and too muscular, so probably a lot of people like it. Not me though…

But… Why didn't they let us spend more time alone with Roger? I'm happy… there was a lot of, if not Alfie, then at least his body (I'm starting to sound like this creepy ghost). But it's still odd.

you sigh as kyle’s hands work against your thigh, rubbing in the lavender scented lotion jonah was kind enough to purchase you a few weeks back. his hands are gentle as they massage your skin, and if it wasn’t for the irritation across your hips and legs, you would almost think of this as romantic.

“get some unscented lotion next time. and make sure you’re showering with lukewarm water, hon.” he purses his lips, looking up at you through his pretty eyelashes, “and come to me if it gets worse.”

“i will, doctor kyle.” you smile, smug as ever when his cheeks glow pink, “nobody could treat me better.”

“don’t say things like that.” he huffs, pinching the fat of your left thigh.

it’s such a gentle pinch that it feels more like he’s tickling you. you giggle under your breath, and he smiles.

“thank you.” you murmur when he finishes, knowing he didn’t have to take care of you but decided to anyway.

“yeah, of course.” he smiles, pushing himself up from his position on the floor.

he tilts your chin up and steals a soft kiss from you, nuzzling his nose against yours as he pulls away. you find yourself frozen for just a moment before you jolt forward, kissing him again.

you whisper i love you’s against his mouth and he returns them, smiling hard enough to hurt his pink cheeks.

oh, how you adore him.

and so you kiss him again, cupping his face and pulling him close, melting away the irritation from hours before with sweetness from your beloved.

Your nose scrunches at the thought. He already knows you wouldn't want to join him and his drinking buddies, but you figure he had to try anyway. You're this close to withdrawing from where you stuck up your cheek in front of his face for a cute little goodbye kiss.

"Oh, I know what you're doing. You want a kiss now, because you're afraid I will miss the target once I've had a few. I usually don't get that drunk, you know."

"Wait, wait, wait. Don't go. Here—"

Kyle's hand carries the distinct scent of his profession, a somewhat sharp but not malodorous chemical smell, one you're surprised to still be able to pick so well despite spending so much time with Doctor Ash. But when that same hand captures your chin to tilt it ever so slightly to the side, the scent is more potent; so is the bubbling feeling in your belly. When Kyle's gentle lips place a peck on your already warm cheek, you find yourself regretting your previous modesty. Next time, you tell yourself, next time you're either going out with him so that you're not condemned to thinking about him all evening while he's away - or you're asking for a proper kiss on the lips.

“I hope you enjoyed your birthday.” Blanc smiles, his features flickering with shadows in the soft candlelight.

“I did.” you smile back, voice soft as you stroke a sleeping Kyle’s head, “And so did Doctor Ash here, apparently. Drank himself silly celebrating again.”

You try to laugh it off as he snuggles into your hand. It doesn’t work. Blanc notices and his smile turns softer.

“You’re beautiful when you smile.” he says, and your heart skips a beat at his charming words.

Of course. Of course Blanc would slip in a flirtatious comment. As much as Oliver got on his case about it, you could never quite bring yourself to do the same.

“You smiled a lot today.” he adds, standing up from his seat and approaching you from across the small (the too small) dining room space, “I swear, your radiance will never fade.”

You can’t move with Kyle’s head resting on your shoulder, his hand placed gently on your thigh as your hand is buried in his hair. Blanc knows you’re too kind to get up, so he pulls out a seat right next to you.

“We love you dearly, sweetheart.” Blanc places his hand over your free one and intertwines your figures. You forget how to breathe for a second.

“Happy birthday. It’s an honor you spent it with us.”

With the way the world starts spinning, you’re convinced you’ve also had too much to drink. Except you know that’s not the case, because you’re so very aware of Kyle’s warmth on your left and Blanc’s soft smile on your right and oh, how your heart is fluttering like mad.

You’re so in love with them. So, so in love with them.

And when you look at the two of them, you know in your heart they love you too.

The cake rests half-eaten at the table as the three of you end up falling asleep there, ready to wake up with cramps in your necks and sore backs and stinging ears after Oliver for sure scolds you in the morning.

But you also know your hands will be warm, intertwined with the hands of the people who cherish you the most.
