A hilarious comedy thriller drama that unfortunately gets bogged down with unnecessary romance and bad editing. It definitely could have been a 10 episode series and it would’ve been a knock out series. Seo in Guk is phenomenal in this. He had just the right over the top humor and darkness to his character, while I absolutely love Oh Yeon Seo, the writing for her character was awful and didn’t fit right. For the romance I more so rooted for the secondary couple more. I guess I was hoping for more of a best buddy relationship for the main couple. Overall still would recommend to watch once if you love mystery comedies.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Snowglobes, memory wipes, childhood trauma, salty jjigae, midnight ramen, true friendships, found families, exquisite eyewear, gaming chairs, iced americanos, filthy cars, murder, and upperclass privilege.

HOT TAKE: This show is one hell of an onion. It's got some seriously trope-y chaebol comedy wrapped around a core of emotional childhood trauma, trust issues, mistakes, and reluctant friendships. It will make you cry, it will make you laugh, and it will make you pump your fist in the air after the satisfying action scenes.

Although we really get to the core of Ahn Bo Hyun's character in a satisfying way, I feel that all the time spent on him sacrificed really getting to know the other cast members more. Here's hoping that we see much more of all of them in Season 2!

For those who don't know, the Weak Hero webtoon anglicized a bunch of the characters' first names from Korean to English. They don't do this for newly introduced characters anymore AFAIK, but all the names they anglicized initially have been kept that way.

Trama:   Kwon Shi Hyun  e Choi Soo Ji sono migliori amici e lui è innamorato di lei. Soo Ji è  molto possessiva nei confronti di Shi Hyun, il quale le ha chiesto di  sposarla per evitare che i loro genitori si sposino. Vedendo in ciò  un'opportunità per vendicarsi dell'uomo che ha osato rifiutarla, Soo  Ji fa una proposta a Shi Hyun: se Shi Hyun riesce a far innamorare Eun  Tae Hee, il primo amore dell'uomo che l'ha rifiutata, e le spezzerà il  cuore, lei lo sposerà.  Eun Tae Hee, d'altra parte, è una ragazza fredda  che crede che le persone influenzate dall'amore siano patetiche.  Shy  Hyun, abbastanza sicuro delle sue capacità di seduzione (tanto sicuro  che ormai vede la seduzione come un passatempo),  accetta. Il drama menziona il romanzo Cime tempestose di Emily Bronte e ne rappresenta diversi aspetti specie nel rapporto amoroso anche ossessivo che esiste tra i protagonisti.

Anyone who says Shi Hyun ended up with the wrong person or Tae Hee is the worst for breaking up the trio literally has no awareness. The trio was so toxic, the manipulation of the boys affection and everything that went with it. Shi Hyun had growth as a character and yes he was super toxic at the beginning and it probably isn’t the best representation or even the best drama but like at least he tried to be a better person and change and the other two were just trying to rope him back in and not change the dynamic they had. My partner said it was most likely pretty privilege that makes everyone want Shi Hyun to end up with what’s her name
