Let's take a Kvas break. The Soviet Union, c. 1960.

"Kvas" is a fermented-bread drink, and is mildly alcoholic; I believe it's unique to Russia. Correct me if I'm wrong.

ok but what makes me laugh(I see it mostly in soc fanfiction lmao) is that ppl treat kvas like it's a beer-like alcohol drink. this makes me realize not everyone grew up drinking this fabulous amazing legendary drink of gods every summer in their little eastern european village and honestly it's a loss
