2024.6.2 sun - 6.23 sun codama ayaka × 工房kuromiya × 古道具ルチボ 「6月とコーヒー　絵と陶と、少し古道具」

この度���そのうちcafeでは、codama ayaka × 工房kuromiya × 古道具ルチボによる「6月とコーヒー　絵と陶と、少し古道具」を開催します。codamaさんは絵を、そしてkuromiyaさんは陶器と併せて「古道具ルチボ」として古道具も出します。

展示についておふたりにお話をお聞きしました。

ー今回のテーマはどんなふうに作品に落とし込まれていますかー

codamaさん　いつも、その時その時に見つかる偶然の産物を生かして、作品にしています。

何を描くか最初から具体的にゼロから決めるよりも、どんな環境や気分で描くかを大切にしています。今回の「6月とコーヒー」というタイトルから、雨や静けさ、ひとりの時間を連想したため、そんなタイミングを待ちました。

その日は珍しく、雨のおかげか朝から子がよく寝ていました。音楽を小さくつけて子を抱きながら、空いている右手で筆をとってみると、色や形が自然と決まり。その中に見えてきたピアノや花を描いたのが、今回の作品たちの始まりです。

2年前に出産してからなかなかアウトプットの機会を作れず、描くチャンネルを忘れそうにもなっていましたが、絵本や、散歩や、食卓や‥日々の中でインプットされた膨大な美しいものたちが、いざ手に鉛筆を手に取った時に思いがけず出てきたことが心強かったです。

kurumiyaさん　生き物や植物をモチーフに作ることが多いので、6月に関係する動物を調べたり、イメージで器に絵を描いたり形にしています。

偶然見つけたものからヒントをもらったり、その時とても気になったものや好きなものを参考にして制作しています。

ー作品に使っている画材・素材、制作の仕方をおしえてくださいー

codamaさん　紙に透明水彩でランダムに色を置きます。そこにできた滲みや形が何に見えるか見立てて、浮かんだイメージを4Hの鉛筆で描いています。鉛筆で、線を書く時は紙の上に見つけたイメージを描きとめる感じ、面を描くときは、まだ見ぬ化石を掘り起こすような感じです。

kurumiyaさん　2.3種類の土を、器によって配合を考え使用しています。練った土を板状にカットして作るタタラ作り、または手びねりで成形しています。 また絵付けは洋食器に描く技法で、ひとつひとつ描き焼き上げています。

ー今回の展示はどんな展示にしたいですかー

codamaさん　これまでそのうちcafeさんで過ごした時のことや、3人でお会いした時のことを思い返してみると、黒宮さん、展示を企画した仲西さん、そのうちcafeさん、そしてそのうちcafeに集う人をつなぐのは、「偶然好き」なところではないかなと、思いあたります。

今回の展示でも、2024年の6月にコーヒーを飲みながら、こんなことあったねえと、それぞれの小さな偶然に目をとめて楽しんでもらえる展示になれば、嬉しいです。

kuromiyaさん　今回、古いものも一緒に並べるので、どのような展示になるのか、自分でもワクワクしています。皆さまにも楽しんでいただけるように、ギリギリまで悩みたいと思います。

コーヒーブレイクを一層、楽しくする、絵と陶と、そして古道具の時間。みなさまもぜひ愉しみにお越しくださいませ。
