いつもFPVドローンの練習をしていた公園がしばらく来ないうちに満開になっていたのでiPhoneで📱

神戸 須磨でランチ。

用事で訪れたときに見つけた、イタリア料理のお店。パスタランチに前菜をプラスして。

前菜は一つ一つていねいに説明してもらえました。色んな食感や味わいでたのしかったです。

パスタはゴルゴンゾーラの濃厚なソースで、麺はカボチャを練り込んでいる生パスタ。ローストされたくるみと共に。

じゃがいもとごぼうのスープ、食後のコーヒーもみんな美味しかったです。

An afternoon at Sumaura-koen

We took the ropeway next to Sanyo Sumaura-Koen station, then walked to the chair lifts and rode them up! I was surprised that the signs said children ages three and up can ride by themselves! Mia survived, but she did cry a little going across. Coming back she smiled and enjoyed it.

It’s winter, so there weren’t too many people up there, but ropeway was fairly full. The hiking course, playground, observation decks, and small amusement park spreads people out quite a bit. I’d like to go back in summer when the gardens aren’t so bare. It had an abandoned feeling even though everything was pretty nice.

Did a search in my Google Photos for "須" to see if I could extend this streak to five days, and well, it took A LOT of scrolling (my husband has a beard), but guess what! Today I got to learn the name 須磨 Suma.

須 means ought, necessarily, or by all means, or sometimes beard. It’s usually read ス ( e.g. 必須 [ひっす] compulsory or indispensable), but it can also be すべから.く, すべし, ひげ, まつ, もち.いる, もと.める, or シュ.

磨 is a useful character that's new to this blog! It means to polish, grind, or improve, and can also mean scour or brush (e.g. 歯を磨く [はをみがく] to brush one's teeth). Its radicals include two trees 木 and a stone 石, if the image of a whetstone helps you to remember the meaning. Anyway, its readings are みが.く, す.る, and マ.
